Oh. Em. Gee. This place lives rent free in my head! The vibe, the Playlist, the staff, the food, the drinks...all top tier! I was moving the entire time I was there, both from my happy dance at the delicious food and the music that sets the perfect tone for the experience. The seafood mac has my heart, but I also love the deviled eggs, catfish bites, and brussel sprouts. I would love to try more drinks on the menu but the Sweet Mystery has me in a chokehold. I can't begin to tell you what's in it (which is part of the fun), but it's pretty and tasty. I went in here a couple of time but for cocktails only. I liked the cocktails and the bartender in both instances was attentive and quick. I sat at the bar both times and both times it was early in the day. I do not recall the drinks I had but they had a decent cocktail list and I was staying in the hotel that is attached to it. The restaurant had a modern aesthetic, semi-formal ambiance fitting for the location. The food came out quickly and was delicious. The food overall was a blend of southern flavors and American ingredients. I enjoyed my chicken benny as a more protein rich option. The egg was poached perfectly, the potatoes were well seasoned. The french toast on the wasn't the best I've had in Cincinnati or in the states but was still on but easily great for the area. The chicken on both dishes were chicken thighs that were still moist, juicy and crunchy. The mandatory 20% gratuity that is added on to your check automatically which didn't sit well with me. So this spot recently opened , decided to come across the bridge to check it out. Solid experience! The wait staff was all super friendly. Very helpful when trying to figure out what was good. They did not lead us astray, it was all great. Brian was an amazing bartender. He hooked us up with some really good honey old fashioned joints. Also Saturday brunch has a live band. Sunday has the DJ on the turntable. Happy hour is everyday between 3 and 6. It's in a hotel, but has an outside entrance. For parking, they validate so keep the in mind for the lot across the street. Has indoor and outdoor seating so you can get a really good view if you're indoor and outdoor, it has a full bar as well. So if you want a cocktail you can definitely do that too. Mumbo wings were good AF (have decent DC vibes). The grits were great, I would absolutely come back for them... They were the star of the show. My goodness they were fire. An original Miami restaurant has now made its way to Covington. Serving southern inspired dishes, this new restaurant will sure be a favorite brunch spot for many. It is located along the river next to the Hilton hotel. Parking can be found across the restaurant which costs $2 (0-1 hr); $5 (1-2 hrs). Upon entering the host stand, you will be greeted and be asked if you've made a reservation. No reservation is required to dine-in. We were sat next to the window, which offered a view of their outdoor patio sitting. Not sure if pets are allowed on the patio - it would be nice. Menu entrees were a bit short, but offer delicious options. We ordered: Mumbo wings, 1/2 Sweet Chick, Fries, Cheesey Grits. All came in black plates, which emphasized the food's colors and made it look aesthetically delicious. Mumbo wings (6) - Great flavor, but lacking the crispness to the wings. We asked for some ranch on the side. Restaurant has balsamic, ketchup and ranch. No blue cheese. Cheesey grits - I really enjoyed the flavor. I'm huge on grits and this was pretty good. It had that nice cheddar flavor to it. Fries - Thin fries seasoned with salt. Can't mess this one up. It was paired with ketchup. 1/2 Sweet Chick - You can either order a 1/2 serving or full. We went with the 1/2 and it was plentiful. It came with the fried chicken on top of 2 servings of French toast glazed with maple syrup and a touch of powdered sugar. It was complimented with blueberries and slices of strawberries on the side. Food was tasteful. Chicken had a nice crunch and well seasoned. Ask for extra maple syrup on the side if needed. FYI. Regardless of how big your party is there will be a mandatory 20% tip added to your bill. We were a party of 2. We checked into the adjacent Embassy Suites and went next door to the restaurant. It was 8pm. First, this establishment has to decide if it's a club or a restaurant? The DJ was great but loud and was in the area we ate in. The menu was pricey! $30 for 1 oxtails over mashed red potatoes and spinach. I asked if I could substitute collards for spinach and that was an immediate no. Did I say 1 oxtail? The oxtail was tough and could have used more seasoning. The potatoes were the best thing going. I stumbled across this new restaurant on meetnky on Instagram and it looked really good! First off, it is owned by former Bengals Carlos Dunlap and I'd have to say the vibe is fun and vibrant. I went at 2:30 pm and you could still get brunch food which had oxtail and omelet choices! I went with the oxtail and cheesy grits which was yummy. And my friend got the chicken and oxtail omelet. I wasn't sure what to expect with the mixed reviews but I'll say honey uninhibited delivered. There is a 20% gratuity added to all tabs, just a heads up. Sometimes when a server knows they automatically get the tip, service suffers. That was not the case here...service was actually pretty exceptional. We had a large party reservation and they were VERY accommodating when we all showed up very late for the reservation. They went above and beyond in my opinion. The fish was well seasoned and the grits were creamy with a bit of special sauce on top of the grits. Oxtails were the best I've had in a very long time, a bit pricey for just 1. Cocktails were creative and everyone seemed to enjoy every drink ordered. I hear brunch is very crowded so I would make a reservation. Tried this HOT (hour long wait) new place for Brunch Sunday. I was so excited for the menu and didn't mind the wait because the party atmosphere was really fun while you waited. They had ample seating and servers so I was hoping for a great experience. Sadly, I did not get it. The meal started out ok. After being seated, our waitress was really friendly. She talked about the menu and took our order. I was a little confused why I couldn't sub out breakfast potatoes for grits as an entree side to my seafood omelet, when they are the same cost. Not a huge deal. It took about 15 min to get our cocktails, but they were busy so again, not an issue. After sitting with our drinks for awhile, probably 20 min, the food just wasn't coming. Finally our waitress checked back and told us our order didn't go through and hadn't been placed. It took about another 20-25 min to get our food after that. During that time, we were never asked if we'd like another cocktail or were we offered something for the inconvenience. We ended up still being seated during shift change (beware they close between 3-5 to prep for dinner) and it was obvious they were trying to rush the meal, but we were only still there because they messed up our order. When the food finally arrived, it was ok. Nothing was excellent except the honey jalapeño cornbread. Definitely not worth the almost hour wait. At the end of the meal, we were given our bill which included an automatic 20% gratuity. I don't have an issue with a gratuity, but after our experience I feel like it could have been adjusted. The waitress did say we could talk to a manager, but at that point we were just ready to leave. I do think it's worth giving this place another chance, but I'll probably try a less busy day. read more

Hello Honey- this is a cute restaurant with fun drink and food options. The mystery drink is sweet just as I like them. Our table really enjoyed the deviled eggs and brussel stouts (these dishes made it a 4 star review instead of 3). However anything else that was fried was a hit too greasy (the fried chicken and tomatoes), you could see how it either needed to soak more or be in hotter oil. Overall, meh. I work next door in the RiverCenter towers and we were super excited about Honey Uninhibited moving in next door - had heard great things about the other location and I was looking forward to trying it. My wife had the opportunity to try it before I did, and I was surprised to learn she was not a fan; she had tried the shrimp and grits and said it was virtually flavorless. Just a week or two later my company booked a group of us for an event we were holding, and I was excited to try it for myself. Some of the appetizers were very good (fried green tomatoes, hot honey cornbread, and deviled eggs) but the wings were lackluster at best. I ordered the Old Fashioned (even though it was made with Jim Beam) and it was OK - they included a sugar stick which was overpoweringly sweet, but made the Jim Beam palatable. I ordered the Lobster Mac and Cheese, and while it was beautifully presented (as was the Old Fashioned) the flavor of both the lobster and the mac and cheese was underwhelming. One thing that stood out was the staff - they seemed super standoffish, bordering on arrogant. Huge HUGE turn off. We dropped over $1,500 there that evening and you'd think they would be a little warmer and approachable, but sadly not. This was worth a full star being pulled off the score by itself. Get over yourselves, seriously - there are plenty of awesome restaurants in Covington and across the bridge in Cincy. Overall, it was ok. Nothing to write home about, and certainly not worth the hype. The "honey" theme is cute, but doesn't go very far. Both me and my daughter enjoyed it very much. I don't typically like chocolate especially in my pancakes but the red velvet pancakes were pretty good. I only had a few bites but for someone who doesn't like sweets I liked it a lot. The fruit was yummy and tasted like it was freshly cut and not stored overnight or anything like that.
