    Sunday Brunch
    Connie H.

Wait time: no wait with reservations on Christmas Eve Atmosphere: cute, little classy but relaxed place. Service: over abundance of workers. Several servers standing in corner talking, lots of hostesses standing at the stand, lots of others standing around the buffet chatting. Not sure if this is why it took our server a while to come over to us and get our drinks Food: We had the buffet, standard breakfast items, bacon was a little smoky, goetta was very good and wasn't as hard and crunchy as it has been in the last. Fried chicken is the best in the area. Ham and the sauce they had for it was a Christmas-y delight. Price: $$$ Cleanliness: 8/10

Sunday brunch Buffet with a group of friends. Breakfast food. Lunch food. Salads. Desserts. Nice clean restaurant. Great service. I thought the food was good. Not great . Eggs a little over cooked. Roast beef dry. The green beans had a sweet taste. Fried Chicken, very good.

This has been a favorite in my family for years! I went for the first time a few weeks ago with my parents and my brother. We split a ton of appetizers and had drinks before our meal. I loved the Goetta Egg Rolls. It's a cool take on a local staple. Everyone was happy with their meal. We each got something different and enjoyed stealing forkfuls of food off each other's plate. Our server was very helpful when we needed to choose between dishes when ordering. For dessert, we got the Peanut Butter Pie and it was amazing! I'm still dreaming about it. The decor is very beautiful. The interior was so lovely. I hope to return with my family soon! We left full and happy!

Went for the Sunday brunch buffet , not realizing we needed a reservation during buffet hours, they offered us the bar area but before we could find seats they quickly worked with us and found us a table. Total luck! We all enjoyed the buffet, they had fresh made waffles with a berry compote that complimented the waffle very well, goetta, eggs... you name it! There was also a whole lunch menu side to the buffet complete with fried chicken - a lot of food for $25, great service and all around nice atmosphere!

Fried Chicken? Libby's gots the goods!…read more I've been here a few times now. A lover of fried chicken who is always on the hunt for the good stuff, Libby's does not disappoint. Located just over the river in Covington, KY, Libby's is only a few blocks walk from some of the happenings in Covington, like the Madison Theatre and Madison Live. There's a decent pay parking lot right at the intersection just across the street from Libby's. I went for the fried chicken and that's what I got.... both times. Libby's is nowhere near me so it was worth the 40 minute drive to get there the first time and an easy go-to for the second time around when I was going out for the night in Covington. The fried chicken is super crispy, full of flavor and moist and delicious. Libby's crushes it when it comes to the fried chicken. Here's the thing - I got sides both times. The chicken, being the feature of the meal, was so good that I don't even remember the sides that I got. I can say though that they were good. Libby's is popular. So, plan on a wait or, if available, to take a seat at the bar. Libby's isn't huge but they have space to take on a larger table of people to small high-tops for two or, again, for one or a few to grab a seat at the bar. The staff is friendly and helpful. We never wanted for anything. They were on top of it without bothering you. Would I go back? Cluck yeah, I'd go back. Remember when I said "Libby's gots the goods"? I wasn't kidding. Go find out for yourself and get you some and then come back and tell me how right I was.

Wobbly table, several groups were there. (I guess service guest service is a dying profession) ? I don't understand why a restaurant resorts to plastic cups from Pepsi or paper napkins? Prices don't reflect that. Sorry I digress Service was slow and she forgot our order, eh? No suggestions for menu options or anything. We chose fried green tomatoes and deviled eggs. Oil for fgtom tastes old. Not delicious eggs with ok. Service is sloppy slow. ( do I keep the fork I used for tomatoes for my entree? I'm at a wobbly table, service is slow and you had to ask for drinks silver ware. I had the 2 piece dark chicken. Good but really spicy and I like spice but this is extremely intense. The Charlie Brown entre was a lot of melted cheese and burnt bacon.our guests had the shrimp and the salmon. It was so loud, screaming across the table loud and there were all of 8 people besides us. My chicken would have been good if it weren't so overbred and over spicy. I had to ask for more beverages. I just don't understand how a restaurant that charges these prices and is mediocre. Paper napkins tv everywhere and not on LOUD, outdoor tables and no cloth. Service that connects with the patrons. This is not greyhound or tousey house. . WHAT KIND OF PLACE IS THIS. Overpriced and cut the attitude with a machete. Many restaurants do exactly the same menu and well. Purple Poulet is one

The place is small and had a very weird vibe between fine dining and kitschy. White tablecloths, but then lots of purple and pictures of roosters everywhere (I realize the name, but hmmm). Our server was lovely but would disappear for too long between times when she should have been present. We ordered our drinks at 745pm, and I watched them sit at the end of the bar. Finally, at 805pm, I went to the bartender and said, "those are our drinks that have been sitting there for a while". Our server brought them over like we ordered them 5 minutes prior. But the lovely owner/manager came over and said the "drinks are on me" because we waited so long. We appreciated that! The fried chicken was good, but the breading was very salty. The green beans were almost inedible because they were so salty. The mashed potatoes were average. The biscuits were fantastic. The fried deviled eggs were okay. A regular deviled egg is better. The shrimp and grits had a lot going on. The shrimp was lightly battered and fried (?) and the flavor of the dish was bold. I think sauteed shrimp and a little less gravy would make it perfect.

Normally, I find hotel food is just okay and nothing special, but Coppin's was a pleasant surprise. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess, and our equally pleasant server quickly brought menus and asked what we would like to drink. When it was my turn, I happily ordered Coppin's Old Fashioned. I was the odd man out because everyone else ordered the Spring Manhattan. Judging by how quickly everyone's drinks disappeared, I'd say they were all very tasty. I was a little unsure about mine at first, so to make sure the quality and taste were consistent, I ordered a second, and it definitely was not a mistake. I ordered the B+G biscuits (which are made by hand according to server in the hotel) and gravy with an extra egg. Others at the table chose a variety of dishes, including the CVG, Cobb Salad, Bagel and Lox, and several other selections. Based on the clean plates all around the table, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. My wife ordered a sample of banana bread, and I was fortunate enough to snag a small bite, it was excellent. After we had all finished, everyone agreed that my niece had made an excellent choice for her graduation celebration brunch. They had simple salads in small bowls, small plain bagel with salmon and cream cheese that was set-up on the bar. Restaurant was half full at 1PM. Would never go back to this restaurant for any meal. Customers were taken advantage of. I felt totally ripped off paying over $300 for this (including drinks).

The wood-fired crust comes out blistered and charred just enough to whisper, "I went to Italy for a semester and didn't come back with a man bun." It's crispy outside, chewy inside ... the kind of texture that makes you forget every sad, floppy chain pizza you've ever eaten in a strip mall next to a vape store. The toppings? Legit.
