Yo... I had the best meal today, I think of my life. I ate at Buckheads Mountain Grill, and I sat outside on the back patio, right by the river with a view of the bridges and boats and hillside houses and churches. It was awesome. The food was amazing. First time I think that I've spent $45 on a meal, not counting the tips, but it was worth it all the way. For a date night on really nice evening, that's a spot for sure. $45 was for the Prime Grind Burger, fries, the complimentary rolls and garlic butter, cheese balls and marinara appetizer, and a $12 cocktail. Seriously, the only thing I could possibly think to say negatively about it, is that the cocktail could have been stronger. But awesome restaurant and highly recommend it. The service was great too. Very prompt and friendly and I had a great conversation with a server, and as a solo diner, it was much appreciated that I didn't have to just sit there alone the whole the time. Great restaurant with a large menu and not just burgers and wraps. Their chicken pot pie looked really good for a return trip and possibly their peach or blackberry cobbler. The chicken and rice dish in the pictures was our favorite for sure!! read more

My experience here was not great. First off their AC was barely working. When I go out to eat, especially on a very hot day, I don't want to be hot. Our waitress was friendly, but she acted as if she had never heard of any of the wines they sell. I kept it simple and ordered the sandwich combo- half a club sandwich and a house salad. It was fine, but not great. The only redeeming part of the meal was the rolls and cinnamon butter. read more

Very friendly and suitable for families with children or a group of friends gathering for a bite and drinks. I made a reservation and we were promptly seated upon our arrival. Maddie (? Spelling) was our server and she was excellent! The fried green tomatoes were perfectly crunchy with a tasty dipping sauce. My son adored the steak fajitas and it was plentiful. My friend had the ribeye, which was flavorful but a bit chewy and stringy with the fat. It was a lovely experience overall. read more

Nice looking restaurant, the ambiance is exactly what we expected. Tons of staff and even for a Tuesday night it was busy but service was on point. Apparently it was still happy hour at the time we came, which is half off appetizers so we ordered fried green tomatoes, quesadilla and fried pickles. Fried green tomatoes were a hit, quesadilla was mediocre and the pickles really was not good. My kid got chicken tenders and fries as expected. No issue, but didn't finish his food so probably not as good. I got the fried chicken, which was lacking in flavor. So to me it's exactly what I expected. But then came the bill and the server informed us that 2 of the 3 apps we ordered were not part of the half off eligibility. That was kind of frustrating, literally only ordered them due to the promo. So overall I have no reason to return. read more

Needed to kill some time before I had to head to the airport so got dropped off here by my coworker to meet a friend. Great spot along the river and located on the boarder of Kentucky and Ohio not too far by the CVG airport (Cincinnati). I wasn't that hungry and really just needed a drink as it was a crazy day. Got the margarita which was very refreshing. A perfect day too to bask in the warm weather and a great view of the river! I also couldn't resist and ordered the fried green tomatoes! Hi! On July 5th around 2:00 p.m. There were 15 of us in my group. It's usually a challenge for people to serve big parties but our server did very well. She was also very pleasant the whole time so that's a plus. When you go here you have to get the rolls with the cinnamon the butter. Well they give them to you automatically so definitely try one. Made so well. Soft. And that butter. Oh my goodness. It's my favorite part of coming here. And then the view is nice because this place is right along the Ohio River. I got to watch somebody out on their jet ski... Service was timely, you know they didn't have us waiting a long time to eat. The fried green tomatoes were not the best that I've had. I must say and the sauce was similar to a horseradish sauce which personally I'm not a fan. And my fish was good but for it to be fried I expected it not to be so soft on the outside. I just wish it was fried longer but I didn't feel like sending it back so I ate it and then took what was left and popped it in the air fryer when I got home but everyone did enjoy their food and I have been here before and I'll be back again. Came here with one of my besties for Mother's Day dinner and the atmosphere was just magical being over the water. Food was delicious, we had the classic chicken tenders and the roast beef. Our server was very kind (it was busy that night so things weren't super fast), but we weren't in a rush and we had so much fun just watching the water. This was our second visit to Buckhead's. During our first visit I tried their fried chicken which was stellar for sure. I tried something similar to that on this occasion as I tried their Classic Chicken Sandwich. It came with a fried chicken breast (grilled is also available) lettuce, onion, tomato, and a sauce of your choice. I chose 911 sauce trying for some heat. The chicken was excellent and the 911 sauce had great flavour although I wouldn't consider it hot. I got a big ole baked potato as a side topped with butter and sour cream and was delicious. We also got pretzels with beer cheese for an appetizer which was excellent. The beer cheese was particularly flavourful. The restaurant is in a very picturesque spot down by the river and they've done a great job making the building look awesome. The service was outstanding as well. I really like this place. The dining room is open with high ceilings and lots of windows. Great views of the river. They have the best fried green tomatoes crispy and not greasy. Delicious. Full disclaimer. I have been to this place twice and twice I have only had the chicken pot pie. So I brought a couple of family members to cover more food ground. So yes, two of us had the chicken pot pie! It's big and delicious. Crust is good and flaky. The third person had the grilled salmon and they liked it. Kind of small but good. The rolls are hollow so easier to make them full of butter (oh my poor heart) . It gets busy so don't be surprised at the early dinner crowd. read more

First off the service, from making a reservation to the server, was awesome! There isn't one thing I can say that's negative in this category. The restaurant itself was surprisingly very pleasant. Now the food was another story altogether. I ordered steak and it was not cooked right. I ordered my steak medium and I got rare, also my steak (that I paid $30 for) had gristle! I ordered the Mac and cheese for a side and it was not that great. It tastes like box Mac and cheese that was doctored. I ordered mash potatoes and gravy and it was bland and gross. I can make mash potatoes out of instant potato flakes that is better than that. I also ordered my mom a bison burger to take to her and she hated it. The burger was bland, she hated the Mac and cheese too. The ONLY great food I had at this place was the rolls and butter. The food was a big disappointment I was going to give three stars but with the price, it's only getting two. read more

I have never had cod anywhere that tasted fishy so I have my doubts it was actually cod. My daughter got a steak that was overcooked and dry. My son-in-law got fried chicken that was very good. Finally made it happen! Got to try this place. It was busy on a weekday evening but we got seated right away and our server was very attentive. My friend and I had the cheese boulders which were a really good appetizer. Also the bread with cinnamon butter was great! Jess was our server and she did a great job taking care of us. I had the Denali smashburger, which was okay but it was just very basic and did not stand out with flavor. My friend had the Manhattan roast beef was also just okay. It completely lacked flavor, according to his statement. This might be one of those places where you're just paying for the view. The view outside of the Ohio River is pretty spectacular as well as the city of Cincinnati. But the food is just okay. I'm sure people are kind of just there for the bar and the view and the food is just one of those things where most of the people don't care about as much as we do. read more

They do offer complimentary hot buttered rolls with cinnamon butter..yummy! Their menu offers something for everyone including meat loaf,pot pies,steaks,ribs and a selection of appetizers. I tried the Summit Sampler which consisted of Fried Green Tomatoes which was my favorite,Cheese Boulders - basically fried cheese balls that I felt were lacking in flavor and boneless chicken wings which were slightly overcooked. 3 dipping sauces came with the platter. First time here. My son and i enjoyed it very much. The place was packed. We made an open table reservation. We got the beer cheese and pretzels appertizer. Many pretzels were given and very enjoyable. The loaded potate skins are not your typical skins but were excellent as well. Full rack of ribs were awesome with leftovers to come home. Our visit was excellent Great view great food The premium blend burger is the way to go. It was a noticeable upgrade to the other burger size, flavor, juicier... Blue cheese coleslaw is awesome... just enough large chunks to give it a blue cheese accent... the fries are coated and very good. Baked potato soup creamy ... the sandwiches are made very nicely with quality ingredients.. Our server kept the drinks full and brought us rolls and quickly corrected a sandwich error.
