Been to Bite multiple times. And what can I say, every single thing we've had has been absolutely amazing! It's definitely a "foodie" experience. Not your typical bland basic food. This place is an experience! My bff lives in Florida and every time she comes in town she has to have dinner here at least once during her visit. The bite flight is a great starter. The salmon is amazing, gator bites, salads, sandwiches. Seriously, everything is absolutely delicious! And it's a BYOB place which is great. Seating inside and out. Service is always great. So I'd rate this establishment a 3.5 but I'll round up to a 4. The family and I came here for dinner on Saturday night and we had a really nice time. Bite has been on my husband's list for awhile because he's all about local small businesses. Any who, here is what we ordered.. Blue crab smothered fries 7/10 - So I don't know if they used fresh blue crab or in a tin, but nonetheless this was fairly good. Quite an innovative plate I would say.. I didn't know what to expect, maybe something more like a poutine...? The flavor of the blue crab and shrimp were seasoned very nicely. My only two recommendation would be... 1) they should make their fries fresh in-house - I could tell these were frozen fries and then 2) I would have like to see the "smothered" cheese/sauce be thicker because it was quite watery. Chicken alla vodka 6/10 - The crispy chicken cutlet was very good! Probably the best part of the dish. As for the vodka sauce - I thought that this was just okay and possibly its just my taste preference. There was a heavy taste of possibly too much cream? Or maybe even sour cream? I can't put my finger on it.. I don't know if it's me (it probably is), but I tasted even a hint of mustard...? Anywho... this dish was okay, the chicken really saved it for me. I recommend that they should do grated pecorino vs slices only because the cheese would be even distributed throughout the dish. The vodka pasta tasted better the next day as a leftover because I put a ton of parmesan cheese. Blueberry maple salmon 9/10 - My husband ordered this dish and I would agree that this dish was the winner of the night. Another innovative dish for a quaint local establishment. The salmon had a real nice crisp, cooked perfectly to medium, and there was a really nice smokey taste to the salmon. Overall a good dining experience - definitely small recommendations on a couple of the things we ordered on execution, but nonetheless we'd come back here to support. read more

We went for lunch at 1pm on a unseasonably warm day at the end of March. We drove from West Chester, so it was a bit far, but the experience was just lovely. I was with a friend that I hadn't seen in a while, and chose to sit outside. This is a perfect place to have a long lunch as they don't care if you stay and visit (we were there for over 2 hours). Our service was good and very friendly. We ordered the fish sandwich with mixed vegetables, and the chicken Caesar sandwich with fries. They were able to blacken my chicken instead of fried chicken, which I appreciated. I also wanted to have my side be onion rings, but they said they couldn't make a side of those, so I ordered the appetizer of onion rings. Holy smokes the serving was HUGE! They were also some of the best onion rings I have had. The sandwiches were cooked perfectly, and the side of broccoli, cauliflower, and asparagus was fantastic. We also ordered iced tea, and it comes in a very large Mason jar and was brewed fresh. Yum. I have read some reviews about dinner that were not as favorable, but for a leisurely lunch, this place cannot be beat and was worth our drive. read more

I went to Bite Sat. Sept 12. We were a table of 6. I have been there several times and had great food but not this night. One of the specials was out at 5:30 pm. I ordered a pasta with mushrooms and a side of chicken. Chicken was tough and the pasta was watery and very salty. Two others got the chicken piccata that was also just as tough. The orders came out at different times. Mine being last. Such a disappointment since some people had not been there before. It will be quite awhile before I go back if I ever do. We had a large group (12!) for dinner (reservation required). Staff was polite and accommodating, plenty of room at our large table, some tasty food, and a really great time. The restaurant is in a house, but it's set up nicely. It wasn't too crowded when we arrived, but it got quite full while we were there. And a bit noisy, but not so noisy that we couldn't talk. I ordered the coq au fin, which was tasty. My girlfriend got the mushroom pasta, which she really enjoyed. It's BYOB, but no corking free, so we reach enjoyed a beverage we brought with. For dessert the housemade Bourbon Pecan Ice Cream and Creme Brulee were both delectable. They do stack reservations (the restaurant's small), and the group who had reserved our table after us arrived before we were done. Today's visit to Bite, our second, was better than the first! And yes, I've upped the rating. The place is still cute and comfortable and the staff could not be any nicer. And on to the food. As we were reviewing the menu, someone passed by with a humongous plate of onion rings. I looked, but did not see them on the menu. When our server returned we made sure to get an order. Oh my goodness... they are amazing! The breading on the onion ring is light and yet thick and crispy. You can bite into these and the onions stay put. In other words, the onion stays inside the breading and is available for every bite including the last. They are perfectly salted. The server asked what sauce(s) we'd like and we got ketchup and tartar sauce. I could not bring myself to dip the onion ring into the sauce. They were absolutely perfect as is. Mark got the burger again as did one of our friends. Mark said his burger was great just like last time, but this time he added a tomato. Both he and our friend commented on how they had to be fresh from the garden. Perfect. Our other friend ordered the Kimchi Hot Dog, but it's no longer on the menu. She opted for Shrimp and Grits and mentioned it was delicious. I had the mushroom pasta. It was a lot of food and it was tasty, but heavy. I had to stop half way through because I knew I needed room for dessert. Three of us opted for the special mocha espresso whip cakes, which was extraordinary!!! Our fourth enjoyed the carrot cake. Oh.. almost forgot. The server brought an amuse bouche that consisted of four small pieces of fruit (two watermelon, two cantaloupe) served with Thai salt on the side. It was fantastic! So much so I asked if they sold it. Why? Because we eat fresh fruit at home all the time and I needed it! LOL She said she'd ask. Sure enough it could be purchased and I certainly did. They offered three sizes. I didn't listen after 10 ounces because I knew that would be plenty. It should last quite a while. For something so amazingly delicious, $10 seemed like a steal. We made a reservation for 5pm on a Saturday. We got there and were seated and it was pretty quiet inside. We ordered the short rib potato skins for an appetizer and they were decent, I would have preffered the cold sour cream in a container on the side. We ordered dinner and both of us ordered a dinner special on their board which was the prime ribeye and king crab legs. The waitress soon came back to the table to let us know they only had one special left (at 5pm!) so I switched my order to prime ribeye and shrimp. I ordered the shrimp blackened. While we waited on our order we opened a bottle of wine that we brought with us, there is no corkage fee. The house, yes the restaurant is in a house, started to fill up and then we could barely hear one another. Our food came out and my friend said her crab legs were cold like they were in the fridge. They also did not bring crackers for the crab and that madd them difficult to eat. My shrimp was definitely not blackened and they were also cold. My steak was cooked right and it was fine not melt in your mouth good. My potatoes were ok and i ordered a side of the four cheese grits. The grits were maybe the best thing I ate here. The bread on our plates was basically a throw away. Toward the end of the meal the waitress came back by and we ordered dessert. I also asked for a to-go box. My friend ordered a pumpkin fluff cake and I ordered vanilla creme brulee. While waiting for our dessert someone came to our table to tell us we had to leave! What!?! Their next reservation was here. I said we have ordered dessert! First time anyone ever tried to run me out of a restaurant. She said she would talk to the waitress. While waiting for the waitress to come back someone asked if I needed a box and I finally received that. The waitress came back with our desserts and said because she was slow taking our dessert order we were fine to stay and take our time as they moved the other reservation to another table. My creme brulee was made right and good. My friend said her cake was too cold like it came straight out of the fridge. Our bill was about $100 each with tip. We will not return here. A friend took me to Bite for my birthday. It was described as Farm-to-Table which I really like. They grow some of the food on their property. The restaurant looks like a house that they renovated for that purpose. Don't be taken aback by that. The food was great! They don't sell alcohol, but you can being your own bottle. You will be amazed at the variety of food you can order there. I got a Japanese dish - Chicken Katsu while my friend ordered Beef Bourguignon for our mains and split a White Chocolate Blueberry Bread Pudding with Creme Anglaise. So delicious, of course, in my opinion every dessert would be better with Creme Anglaise. Hubby went with a friend today and he was extremely impressed. Try it - you won't be disappointed. read more

Did they just not like me for no good reason? IDK Sat outside, it was a nice day for it, but beware they do nothing to deter bees, in case you are allergic. They need to up their outdoor ambiance, either with brick pavers or stamped concrete. The gravel-like area for outdoor seating causes a lot of dust, so if you are sensitive, sit inside...or don't come here. Food: much better quality than chain stores, but overall, not enough food for the price. The salad needs to have twice the amount of basically every vegetable, I was still hungry. The fish had good seasoning, but too much salt. The pumpkin apple cider vinaigrette was quite good! Ordered the GF Carrot Cake...$11?! That is practically the price of their lunch special! The frosting tasted like straight up cream cheese, not nearly enough sweetness. Also needed more spice. Service: also lacking. Though the waitress was friendly (which can be rare nowadays) she failed big time on my meal. A completely different salad with a completely different protein was delivered to my table by someone else, I was so confused, thinking it was for a different customer! After we realized (or so I thought) what happened, the correct salad was delivered, with the wrong protein. Though the waitress apologized for not writing it down, the protein was still wrong (I didn't have the heart to tell her that) and there was no compensation given for the mistake. For the price, I'd rather eat at Nordstrom Bistro, or The Wildflower Cafe. And if you want carrot cake, go to Cozy's Cafe. read more

Small restaurant with farm to table menu. Outside looks like a small ranch house that has been converted. Landscaping needs a little work but there are ample patio tables. Some difficulty walking up incline sidewalk. Once inside, welcomed and seated quickly. I chose the Cuban sandwich with German Potato Salad and baked beans. The sandwich was on great bread, buttered and toasted. The shredded pork and ham were great. The German Potato Salad was drier than I expected. It needed a little more sauce. Baked beans were good. Both salad and beans had ample bacon slices. Yum. My sister had the Breaded Pork Tenderloin and Mashed Potatoes. She said it was delicious. We both left with plenty of food for another time. I would've given this place four stars if it weren't for the noise and the drop-off in service toward the end of our meal. Service started out great -- we didn't have reservations, and even though they were busy, the staff was friendly and got us seated quickly. Drinks came fast, our order was taken right away, and the food arrived promptly. The problem was the noise level. The restaurant is in a small, quaint building, and there were a few large groups dining that night. Even though we were tucked into a corner, it was so loud we could barely hear each other across the table. We almost asked to move outside, but our food came quickly, so we stayed put. I had requested an extra plate to share part of my salad with my husband, but it never arrived. No one came back to check on us, refill drinks, or see if we needed anything else until the very end, when our server noticed us again. By then, I just handed her my credit card so we could wrap things up and escape the noise. The food itself was very good, and we learned you can bring your own wine -- important to know because they don't serve it. The outdoor seating is on a homemade patio, which can get a little muddy after rain. I suspect it will be more popular in cooler weather. We do plan to give this place another try. Our breakfast visit here was quieter and more relaxed, and hopefully the noise we experienced was just due to the large groups that night. If not, I'll be requesting an outdoor table next time. read more

My sister and I went to Bite for an early dinner on our way to a concert. I had heard good things about the restaurant before, but I am never on that side of town around a meal time, so I hadn't been able to stop in yet. Our experience exceeded our expectations in every way. The service was fantastic. Our server gave us great recommendations and walked us through the specials menu. We ended up ordering the pork and mashed potatoes special that was topped with a Demi glaze. This isn't something either of us would normally order at all, but it just sounded good that day. We were so grateful we trusted our gut as the dish was absolutely perfect. It had layers of flavor and everything was cooked exactly as it should've been. We also got a delicious salad with a Housemade dressing. The server told us that the macaroni and cheese was extra good, so we trusted her and got a side of it. I'll admit that when it came out, I was a little, unsure as it looked pretty dry, but she absolutely didn't steer us wrong. This mac & cheese had so much flavor I don't think I'll be able to not get it next time I'm there. They also do a lobster mac & cheese that I bet is to die for. The inside of the restaurant is adorable and simple and homey. The front patio is large and I bet it is a really wonderful place to have a meal when the weather is nice. Back by the bathrooms, there is a list of all of the produce they grow themselves. I thought it was super cool to see as it is a very large list. The list of specials was also really impressive as there were so many for that single day we were there. For dessert, we grabbed a slice of their carrot cake. It was massive and delicious. Very cute hidden gem I happened to come across when attending a nearby convention. If you are looking for fresh ingredients especially when it comes to salad, this is your place! Honestly couldn't decide between a salad or burger. Everything looks great and the gluten free options is a plus for me. Other places need to catch up with the dietary options. Beyond disappointed with the inedible "chef special" that they gave to my wife today. It's supposed to be filet mignon and a white wine sauce. What it was is severely undercooked meat that was an inedible. We went to Goldstar chili afterwards, as my wife did not have anything to eat for dinner. Goldstar was 1/6 the price and truly a much better meal than what she was served. I also ordered a filet mignon mine was cooked correctly, but I did not get the chef special. I also did not get a steak knife to cut it. I don't know, I guess steak knives are reserved for people to order the filet mignon special and not just the filet mignon. We've gone there between 50 and 100 times prior, and had ordered Carry out a dozen or two times additionally. I believe they changed their menu in the last couple months, and changed their attitude also. We usually have extended family or friends that dine with us on Friday nights, I am so thankful none of them came with us. Terrible meal. read more

Bite was recommended to me by a teacher I worked with at a nearby school. Since my first visit, I've been back more times than I can count. A highlight is their daily specials. My personal favorite is their Chicken Divan. It's served over rice and with a tasty cream sauce. I also truly enjoy their blackened "catch of the day" features. Another highlight that I love is the bread that comes with the entree. It's slathered with butter and pairs well with each meal. Bite, while this place is kind of out of the way for us. We were in the Milford area and read on Chowdown cincinnati that this was the hidden gem. Our waitress was so nice and even recommended my meal! It seemed like they were reservations booked for the whole night, but they made room for us outside! You can tell the ingredients at this place are FRESH! They claim to be farm to table. (which they have a garden right outside so i believe it!) Let me say, it was absolutely delicious and we were blown away by the food. i got the mushroom pasta with bread and it was creamy and savory with the variety of mushrooms, they were so tender and almost melted in your mouth. Also got a side salad and a grilled jerk chicken sandwich *not pictured*. but was so juicy and the chicken was perfect cooked and seasoned. the bun was sub-par. but the chicken was the star here and the sauce they used! The side salad had some micro-greens in it and they were paired perfectly with ranch and the parmesan on top. Overall 5/5 experience! read more

Take a Bite of Bite! We found ourselves in Milford, and went in blindly and we're pleasantly surprised. It was a Saturday night right around dinner service and the staff was nice enough to try to find us a seat, greatly appreciated. The decor was cute and it looks and feels so homey here. Now, for the food. The menu is farm to table and you can really taste the freshness in everything. The mushroom pasta was amazing and we are still dreaming of it. We ordered the cheese board which had a great variety of cheeses. I got the red curry which was a little spicy but overall very good! My wife and I were here about a year and a half ago. We enjoyed the food, but had a few minor complaints, which made it so we wanted to visit again, and we finally got around to it last night. We came without a reservation, but were able to get a table outside on a nice sunny day, with a view of all the produce they grow themselves. Really cool. Our server was very nice and attentive the whole evening. She listed off the specials at our request (and included the prices, which was great). My wife loves vegetables, though I'm not the biggest fan. They had a seasoned vegetable bowl as a special that our server said was very tasty, despite her not caring too much for vegetables either. We decided to try it. It came out just a short time later, and my wife thought it was very good. I can't say I cared for it. There was a bit of seasoning, but not as much as I'd hope, and they generally didn't have the most flavor. For entrees, my wife got the Pickled Goat Salad (right up her alley), and I ordered the Basil Pesto Cream Fettuccine with grilled chicken (right up mine). Our server apologized that the food might take a bit because the kitchen was short staffed, yet our meals came out probably twenty minutes later. Not bad at all. The fettuccine was magnificent. Creamy, tons of garlic and basil flavor. Beautifully grilled juicy chicken. The dish also came with a slice of warm buttered bread, which was delicious as well (and nothing's better with carbs than more carbs!) My wife really enjoyed her salad. I tried a bite of it too, and while I wasn't the target audience of that dish, it was still quite tasty. Overall, a delightful dinner for both of us, that brings Bite way up in our minds. We started with their onion rings - well cooked onion and good flavor to the breading, but overly greasy. For my entree, I love a good BBQ shrimp and grits but found Bite's to be just okay. The grits were good, but the shrimp and the BBQ sauce were both bland and the shrimp a bit overcooked. The side of blue cheese coleslaw was tasty though, with a lot of blue cheese flavor. For desert, their bourbon apple bread pudding was enjoyable but unremarkable - not something I'd order again. This farm to table restaurant is worth the drive from anywhere in Cincinnati! I went with some friends and we all enjoyed the outdoor seating. Seeing the tomatoes growing all around us, we knew we were in for a treat. We started off with the Tijuana egg rolls, which were the best version of this appetizer I've had! I moved on to the chocolate salad with the blueberry salmon. The cocoa nibs added the right amount of bitterness and complimented the sweet berries. The salmon was tender and perfectly medium. I was too full for dessert, but I couldn't resist the idea of a blue velvet cake so I took it to go!
