Maybe a little bit more rice than it needed, but it presented a nice combination of flavors and textures. The pickled onions were well done. There was a relish type offering that rounded it out. The fried egg was a nice protein addition. Overall, the dish came together. I'm not from Cincinnati, but they apparently have a regional goetta dish. Favorite place in Milford! This small, modern diner will surprise you with all of the big, well balanced, flavorful meals and beverages. I know if there's ever a day that I don't know what I want to eat but I know I want good food, this is my go to place (And I drive 35 minutes to get here). My favorite small bite on the menu is the deviled potatoes. They are small, but bursting with flavor and have never let me down. The menu has some items that will always be staples and other items that switch it up throughout the year and keep me guessing. The Reuben and French dip can never do any wrong. I'm not a huge fan of the Madame dish. This restaurant always has great food and great service! I also really enjoy the rotating slushy or specialty drinks at the bar! During the summer, it's some kind of fruit slushy and during the winter it's cozy drinks and I love the creativity of it. Oh my! House made pastrami, are we in NYC? Nope, Milford, Ohio! And yet, it tastes just as good! I am a true sucker for a good Reuben sandwich, and when it's made with pastrami, I am in! The Lobster Queso was our starter & was chock full of lobster meat. The service was good! I got the General Tso Chicken Sandwich. I don't think it was that spicy at all. I'm the kind of person who can eat some spice but I don't like every bite to be burning. So it was good, barely any heat. Unless my taste buds are just off lol. I liked the bun. I thought the slaw didn't really have much apricot flavor but maybe it's not that strong or it's covered up by the flavor of the chicken. I had the privilege of dining here twice in a month. The first time, I had no idea that the restaurant had been featured on the show "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives". I found it to be quaint with great upscale food. Love the cozy atmosphere. The dining area is small, with tables close together, but you can grab one of the few booths for a bit more room and chat privacy. There are large windows near the front door that give a glimpse of passersby shopping along Main Street. The staff is very friendly. I had the seasonal lobster grilled cheese on my first visit, and it was phenomenal. This was a work lunch, so I stuck to my entree and an Iced Tea. The second visit was a pleasure lunch and I shared the Crab Rangoon Dip with large pieces of toasted buttered bread- very delicious (despite not having real crab) with my lunch companion. I went with another grilled cheese-themed sandwich, this time short rib, which was delicious. Both times, my sandwich was accompanied by a unique tomato soup with kimchee. The Pastrami burger was so amazing the flavor of the Pastrami married with the rest of the burger items. My co-pilot got the short rib grilled cheese this was so much better then I expected and I had HIGH expectations. This is a must try. Stumbled across this place by happenstance when we were in the area. We saw it was a "diner" so we kept our expectations low as we were extremely hungry. I'm so sorry to the Governor because this place is phenomenal. I took my (slightly picky, foodie) brother and he was blown away by the food. I have not stopped thinking about these potato cakes with the feta dip. I also had the lobster roll which was full of lobster and refreshing and flavorful. The waitress told us it used to be a rotational menu item but the customers loved it so much they put it on the menu. My extremely picky five year old even ate her sourdough pancake and asked if we could save the rest- then actually ate the leftovers at home! I mean who eats pancake leftovers??
