We were driving from Nashville to Pennsylvania and stopped here on a whim after the place we originally planned to go to was closed -- and wow, we are SO glad we did. From the moment we walked in, the service was amazing and we were seated immediately. The restaurant was spotless, and even the bathrooms were incredibly clean. The food was fantastic too. We ordered pizza, salad, an appetizer, and dessert, and everything came out quickly and tasted great. We were honestly shocked that the entire meal was under $50. And, we were in and out in about 45 minutes without ever feeling rushed. This was some of the best service we've had in a long time, especially while traveling. We'll absolutely be stopping here again -- this is officially our new pit stop between Tennessee and Pennsylvania! read more

Taglio-Montgomery - Pizza Near Me - Cincinnati, Ohio

Taglio has THE BEST pizza and dessert in the area. But, they are also the best at judging people and creating an unwelcoming environment. The food alone is 5 starts: Seasonal pizza, GF Detroit Style crust...every other pizza pales in comparison. I will dream about this pizza, even though I was hungry after. More chicken needs to be added! The chocolate sorbet was exquisite. No notes. Was not offered to add candied almond or hot honey, it didn't need it. Possibly best restaurant dessert. Lower score because I was judged harshly by my server about where I lived, them being uppity and saying, "Eww, I'd never live there." After observation it seems mostly "regulars" dine here, I must have not looked expensive enough, or behaved poorly enough. For the price, I shouldn't be leaving hungry, or ashamed. Taglio, I will forever crave this meal, and forever feel awkward about dining with you. read more

We caught them on a slow night so everything came out perfect and quickly. The service team did a great job taking care of our party of 9. We started off with mozz sticks and fried green tomatoes. We got the mozz sticks tossed in spicy garlic w/ a side or gorgonzola... This is the only way I want to eat mozz sticks in the future! The fried green tomatoes were good. I think their Detroit style smashes the NY style. We got a pitcher of the house Pizza Lager and the Traveler IPA. I thought the IPA was good, but the lager was below average. Overall, it was a great dining experience and I would go again. read more

We've been patronizing Taglio for about three years now. We enjoy the pizza and have usually had decent service. However, I brought my family of 6 there a few weeks ago on a Thursday evening and we had terrible service. The bartender was extremely stressed, although the restaurant was not busy. He was trying to tend bar and wait on our table as well. A few times we had to go up to the bar to get his attention. There was another female server there that has waited on us prior times and we had a good relationship with her. For some reason, she did not remember us and was not friendly at all. I just don't understand what happened because we have never had this experience before. Clearly, everyone was in a bad mood and taking it out on the customers that night. Again, it was not busy so I do not see any reason they would be working with an attitude regardless. And I have to say my family is over the top friendly to anyone that is serving us so it was definitely on them. I believe we're going to have to eliminate Taglio for our pizza nights now. read more

We got takeout from here and tried one thin and one deep dish. Both were great, but the showstopper is the Detroit deep dish. We got the hot honey and it was delicious. I wish there was a stronger honey or spicy flavor, but it was still good. The large is also not that large (see picture- only 6 slices). read more

My wife and daughter have been waiting over an hour past the promised ready time. This is no way to do business. We love the pizza but nothing is worth that wait. If you know you are running behind, adjust the promised ready time. Update: Taglio comped half the bill (said had to remake one of the pizzas) and provided a gift card for the wait. Good follow up but should not have happened. read more

Came for the Gf deep dish pizza! And it did not disappoint! Being GF, it can be hard to find good pizza. While deep dish is not my favorite, this definitely fulfilled a craving! We came in a little before noon and there were only two other tables full. So a very quiet, chill lunch! My mom and I split the GF deep dish pepperoni because we didn't want to be overly full. And it was perfect. I'd definitely come back and get more. I like that they have various styles of pizza too. read more

Food was excellent service seemed fairly good and the pick up was extremely easy. It was in a separate area from the main dining room so one could go in and out very quickly to get their carry out. I would definitely recommend it and I will be going there again, possibly next week. read more

Absolutely delicious! The deep dish Detroit style is literally to die for. The hot honey adds the perfect touch of sweet and spicy. The service was very good; friendly staff. I'm not a drinker, but for those who enjoy craft beer they seem to have a nice selection. Definitely will be back again read more

I have been wanting to try Taglio since I heard they had a gluten free Detroit-style pizza. No one on Yelp was talking about it so I decided to volunteer as tribute. Detroit style is my favorite kind of pizza, and I get very excited when I can find a GF version. I was not disappointed at all. There was the crunch, then the soft interior that is often tough to get right. Not too doughy or dense, either. I feel ashamed to talk in this great detail about pizza crust but hey, we are who we are. All of the ingredients were fresh and we got great service despite coming in an hour before close. It was a tad small for the price but I would definitely treat myself to this on occasion. It was also cool to hear they have their own bourbon. My gluten-loving kid also approved of her pie as well. Hot honey seems to be the move for those meat eating folks. Anyway, GO! read more

Taglio-Montgomery is a top 10 pizza joint for sure! I ordered the spicy Italian pizza and it didn't disappoint. Of all the pizza places I've been to this one has the best pizza sauce, the crust creese and topping were equally delicious but that sauce made my day. The interior was clean and modern, service professional and price reasonable. If you are in Cincinnati check out Taglio's read more

Pizza is delicious. I'm from Detroit so their Detroit pizza is the real deal. The salad was fresh and tasty. The prices are on the high side for pizza. Service was very good. Real letdown were the drinks.. paltry pours for the price read more

Decided I wanted to try pizza tonight and I had heard about Taglio on Instagram so I decided to give the Montgomery location a try. Great parking options and located in the heart of the Montgomery area, this place is bright and industrial chic. The service was very friendly and the food came out quickly. Tons of vegetarian and vegan friendly options made this place already high on my must try list. You can choose between new York style and Detroit style pizza. I went with the excellent mozzarella sticks as a classic starter followed by a small (4 small pieces) Detroit style spinach and ricotta pizza with cherry tomatoes added. Both are super delicious and just what I was looking for in a pizza. Crispy, hot, and with great cheese pull opportunities. If you are in the area, make sure to stop by for a great meal! read more

First time at Taglio on our Friday pizza night. We decided to try both Detroit style and New York style: NY was the Old Schooler and Detroit was the pepperoni and hot honey - both small size since it was just two of us. We ordered a small Greek salad to split while we waited. Hubby also had a blonde ale, which had an almost rose color to it; he didn't love it but did appreciate the full pour in his pint glass. Salad was very good. The Detroit style pepperoni pizza won the contest - nice and crispy, good spice/sweet flavor. The NY Old school was also tasty but more on the average style good fresh tasting sauce though. We would try either style again with different flavors to fully test them out! We were seated quickly in spite of being Friday night (and also, apparently, prom night). Server was attentive and helpful. Lots of parking in the back. All in all, a good spot for pizza! read more

One of my favorite pizza spots for sure! First, there's plenty of parking. The inside sitting area is pretty big too. Maybe I've gotten lucky, but I've never had to wait to be seated, which is great if you need last minute dinner plans! The food is delicious. Most recently I split a medium New York style pizza and did half pineapple chipotle (no bacon) and half Asiago chicken. Loved the chipotle! The Asiago was pretty good but felt a bit too cheesy for me. I've tried the buffalo chicken and margherita in the past, both excellent! Overall great vibes and food that keeps me coming back! read more

DELICIOUS Gluten Free & Dairy Free Deep Dish Pizza. The crust was crunchy and so tasty. Normally I don't care for Ricotta, but on this pizza the dairy free version was excellent. Service was excellent for in house service and take out. Nice relaxing feel inside restaurant. Parking is a plus. By the way, the regular pizza is also DELICIOUS, as per my husband. We had to come from NJ to find great pizza like this read more

Great pizza, friendly service & great atmosphere! Tried their hot honey pepperoni pizza & loved it. We will definitely return

Vegan pizza is one of my favorite I've found in Cincinnati! Tonight was a bit different unfortunately, we came ready to order two vegan Detroit deep dish pizzas, for the first time (and very excited), and were let down when told by the waiter that the Detroit style can not be veganized due to, "the pan being greased with butter." Why advertise it in the vegan section, when it's not actually available? Soured the experience a bit. read more

Fantastic pizza! The Detroit style is particularly delicious and hearty, but you can't go wrong with the NY style, either.

Cute little pace! The pizza is the best we have found in greater Cincinnati! We especially loved the Detroit style supreme! Very flavorful. read more

Definitely the worst food experience I've had in a long time. The food was cold, flavorless, very greasy, and cheap tasting. Really really good pizza. , especially the NY style. I actually chose the place because they have Detroit style, but it was a little more like a pan. I prefer Detroit style a bit thinner. Ingredients were great, interesting beers, great patio, great service, and they had NA blue moon which I think is one of the best NA beers. read more

While on a business trip in Ohio, I tried the lunch special at Taglio-Montgomery, which included a Caesar salad, pizza, and a drink. I added some extras to enhance the meal--chicken on my Caesar salad and extra toppings on the pizza--and even with the additional cost, it was still very affordable. The salad was outstanding, with fresh, in-house croutons that added great flavor. I'm not usually big on salads, but this one had me wanting more! The pizza was also delicious, made with fresh ingredients, and had a perfect balance of flavors. The manager greeted us and gave a rundown of the menu, and the staff was friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. If I'm ever back in the area, I'll definitely return. Great food, great service, and well worth it! read more

We got carry out and I was excited because I really enjoyed my experience at their Columbia location near the Ohio River. I love the quality of the pizza, especially their deep dish. I got the old schooler and it didn't disappoint. It looks smaller in size than I remember though. Speaking of cost/price, I was appalled at the mozzarella sticks appetizer we ordered. They charged $12 for 4 sticks. How are you supposed to share 4 whole sticks at a table? One per person? $3 each? I expected at least 6 for the price. As much as I love the flavors and food quality the pizza shrank in size, and the $12 for 4 mozzarella sticks is completely unacceptable. read more

An update to my review of 11/19/24. Management did get in touch with me and have been very receptive of my issues with my order, and have made the situation right with me. Had a great experience with pickup today at the newer Taglio Montgomery. The restaurant opened at 11 but I was able to order online for pickup at 1130. I love their Detroit style pizza. It's expensive so we don't get it as often as I'd like! Often we select extra sauce and pizza places still skimp on it despite our extra charge but taglio did a fantastic job today with the extra tomato sauce which on the tomato basil is more like fresh crushed tomatoes - delish!! There are a few parking spots right outside taglio otherwise a whole parking lot which includes nearby businesses. The place itself looked spacious, perfect for any gathering. We love taglio, knocked off a star due to high prices. Our large Detroit style tomato basil pizza with extra sauce and add jalapeños was $30. Extra sauce and jalapeños each cost $3 additional! Large pizzas come with 8 square slices and small comes with 4. read more

Decided to try out Taglio for my birthday dinner. We had a large party, and were afforded a window view in the main dining area. We were all seated as we arrived, and our server was spot-on with refills, appetizers, and generally checking in with us without making us feel it was his job to do so. Our orders were taken as soon as the party decided what we wanted, and I know the conversation taken seconds off the wait, but it seemed the pizzas arrived quickly. Everyone was pleased with the generous portions and quality of the food. I can't consider myself an expert of Detroit-style pizza, but after visiting Taglio, I wouldn't mind becoming one. One of our choices was a hot-honey pizza. They drizzle hot honey over a pepperoni pizza. There really wasn't much difference between the two; I didn't notice the hot honey - maybe I picked the piece between the drizzles, but I'll stick to the pepperoni. Hey, that's my only knock... The service was wonderful, food was great, beer was cold; I strongly recommend them! read more

Hot honey pepperoni pizza is a crowd pleaser as well as the Chicago (thick crust) bbq or Buffalo pizza.
