This is my second time here and both times have been very good. The comedians have been excellent at least on Saturdays. My first time I ordered something to eat it want memorable but I do recall n not being bad. This time I ordered a Makers on the rocks and it was a very well filled drink and about $11 so not bad. The service both time has been excellent and the place was comfortableish I say it that way, because the are basic stackable chair and you will be here for a while. If you need comfort bring a cushion. Other than then that the place is good clean and temp wasn't bad. I will be back I am sure. I normally come with several friends. Several of which go next door after the show.

Had a blast at the show tonight! Eli Wilz was by far the best on the pro-am circuit. Hoping GB's will have him back soon for more headline or support work to give him more time! Excellent service and easy ticketing made the evening a breeze. Great comedy club right outside Montgomery across from Kroger. Awesome!!

Fries with nacho cheese and one of their cocktails

I have a friend that performs here, and it is always a good time! Delicious food, great staff, and the comedians are typically quite funny. Shout out to Gabby Lowry for being one of the best "pro-ams" there!

This place is suffocating. No laughter aloud. Then charged for a bill that wasn't mine.

My girlfriend and I went here on Friday, September 20th for a Trae Crowder show…read more Getting in was relatively easy. You just add the tickets to your electronic wallet and they scan them. I put them in my Apple Pay wallet. This is a pretty decent sized venue. There is a downstairs area and a "balcony" area. The show started at 7:30 pm but we got there probably around 6:35 pm. The downstairs, main stage area was pretty full. As everyone else on here mentioned, there is a two item minimum per person, either food or drinks. The drinks were moderately priced in my opinion. We sat in the balcony area at a middle table. The view was pretty good. Shortly after, another couple showed up and sat on the other side of the table. Wait service was pretty good. As it got closer to show time, this venue filled up pretty quickly. There was an opening emcee who came out, told a few jokes, and introduced the comedians. Minus the emcee, there were three comedians total. The first two were pretty good. However, the headliner Trae Crowder was very good. Showtime total was about 90 minutes. Considering the number of comedians and the good drink service, I considered it a pretty good value. I would go again if a popular comedian was in town. We stayed overnight at the AC Marriott hotel and it was a very short walk from there. Between comedians, I did go to the bathroom and the facilities were clean. Before you go to the theater, there is a small bar but there weren't that many folks there. I recommend. They don't allow photography of the acts and ask you mute your telephones which is always a good policy.

What place charges for soda refills but advertises Coke as "bottomless"? That makes no sense. Only leads me to think one thing. The seating was cramped and the place was dusty. I would absolutely never come here for a regular night out. I'd only consider going back to see a favorite comedian, and even that's pushing it. There simply aren't many I'd go back for. Audio was also crap, terrible acoustics for more than half the show. For a first visit, this was a huge letdown. We won't be in a hurry to return. Price gouging in 2026 is crazy work. 2/10 which is 1 star. Great job.

A weirdly located little gem that I hope to visit again and again!…read more I went to see a comedian by the name of Greg Fitzsimmons. He had been plugging his upcoming date in "Dayton". Well, I kept checking his website and the website of the main comedy club in Dayton, OH, and couldn't find anything. So, I emailed him and asked. And that's when he said, "Sh*t, you're right. It's Dayton, KY. I need to tell people that!" That's when I learned there was a Dayton, KY and a comedy club in Dayton, KY. Using Waze, as I do, I set my course for Commonwealth Sanctuary in Dayton, KY. Fairly straight forward....driving along.... Waze says I'm almost there. A few turns later, I'm smack-dab in the middle of a neighborhood. There it was. In the middle of the block, on a residential side street, was what looks to be a former church. A small church, but obviously once a church. Residential houses on each side and across the street. But that was it. I walked up, confirmed I was in the right place and that was it. Upon entering, you're asked your name to get checked in. Then, someone walks you to your table. It's a small room. Very small room with a small altar....I mean stage, at the front. While walking up, the person seating me pointed out where the restrooms were and the exits, in case I needed either. She then pointed out their menu and order cards. She explained that each item has a number (kind of like ordering sushi) and said just write down the numbers and someone will pick it up. She pointed out they do silent ordering and silent check drops in order to not interrupt the show. THIS IS BRILLIANT! Every comedy club in the world should take note of this and make this the standard. There is nothing more aggravating that getting asked, or hearing the next table get asked, if they're "good" or God forbid order a bunch more drinks or food. Then, there's the dreaded check drops and payment at the table. I cannot think of a worse interruption than the check drop at my table and surrounding tables. Commonwealth Sanctuary does it right. They had quite a few hot food items, sandwiches, snacks and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to choose from. It was actually a nice menu. During this visit, I simply ordered a Snapple Iced Tea. The club is small and intimate. This is good and bad and I witnessed both. The good - the comic can easily do crowd work and go back and forth with audience members, if they choose. The bad is when you ALWAYS, have the person in the crowd who then sees this as an invite to be part of the rest of the show. The level of severity of these people is always related to their level of intoxication. So, there's that. No comedy club is free from that element. Would I go back? 100%! Nice little place. Weird location, but a very cool discovery. They have open mics, local comics and national touring comics coming through all the time. It is literally so small and intimate that it feels like you're at someone's house. But, that's not a bad thing. Ticket prices are fair and quite low as are the food and beverage prices. Commonwealth Sanctuary really has it going on. It would have been nice to see more people at this particular show, but you can't blame that on the club. It could be a number of things. My biggest hope is that word gets around about this little gem in our area because their friendly staff really go out of their way to make this a nice and fun place to come and see a good show. Check it out!!!

With four different stages set up, there's a little something for everyone. Observational humor, hilarious stories, and sometimes just plain weird stuff - it's all at Brew Ha-Ha. I did sample a few of the food trucks including a Burger truck and a BBQ truck, which I'll review separately. Soft drinks were only available at one specific stand, which I guess makes sense given this is a beer festival but it did make things inconvenient for a non-drinker like me. My favorite comedian, Chad Daniels, flew in to town from Minneapolis for this event and destroyed the stage under the tunnel. I didn't catch Preacher Lawson's set on the main stage, but he was on last year's America's Got Talent and did well there so I'm sure he was fun to watch. Many of my favorite local comedians took to the various stages and I was able to enjoy sets from some of them like Ran Barnaclo, Anna Mazza, Lee Kimbrell, Grant Stiles, and many more. The weather was perfect, the comedy was funny, and the crowds seemed to be having a great time. It was about as perfect an event as you could ask for!
