Meat lovers calzone
Emma S.

A friend recommended this place to me and I'm so glad we went! It's in a strip mall and it's authentic. There's not much seating inside, but there's enough since many people seem to order things to go. I love a good calzone so I went for the meat lovers. The outside was perfectly crispy and the inside was filled. The ratio of crust to filling was perfect. These calzones are also huge so I definitely got two meals out of it. The service was quick and helpful.

We got the margarita pizza with a Italian sub the trio sampler pasta thing and chicken roll it was our first time here. My brother chose it at random for his birthday dinner. The pasta dish was good filled with cheese. My brother said the chicken roll was really tasty but almost too much cheese. My dad got the Italian sandwich from 1 to 5 being great it was a 4 he said it needed maybe some peppers we waited about 25 to 30 minutes but it was very fresh so worth the wait the pizza my boyfriend ate he said it was good but needed more cheese but I will definitely be going back when I'm in the area.clean open Establishment.

Descent NY Style pizza but not as thin as I was expecting in authentic slices. My family was hanging out at a local attraction and I had been craving a good NY style pizza. This place was within reach for Door Dash, so we went with it. It took a longer amount of time for the pizza to be prepared and sent our way, but it was also busy evening hours. The pizza arrived hot and looked really nice. It was a good pizza overall but I personally struggled with the sauce and the crust being too thick. Authentic NY style will have that large thin foldable crust that if you have small hands, you have to use two to eat it. Regardless, my kids loved it and didn't seem to mind at all. For me, it was an good pizza and certainly worth me giving a try in person near the restaurant next time.

My partner and I have never found an Italian restaurant we love in this city, however, upon visiting this eatery we were very impressed. This will be the place we eat at when we are craving Italian food as it rivals some of our favorites out of town. It is on the more expensive end- 1 large pizza, 1 slice of tiramisu and 2 sodas with a $3 tip was $35, but not unreasonable. The food is great and the ingredients are fresh. The customer service was great and it was clean. Great date spot. Visit and you will not be disappointed :)

Found this on Yelp and thought we would give it a try. The sauce on this pizza was amazing and the crust was perfection. So glad we went.

The crust is a little thicker than traditional Neapolitan, so perhaps more like traditional American. It was overall excellent!

It was honestly so delicious, and oddly enough was even better reheated the next day! (Reheated great in a toaster oven) It also came out quicker than I expected. (With it being Chicago deep dish, I was prepared to wait!) We also got their appetizer sampler. The items were good, but the pizza balls definitely stood out! The dough was so fantastic and clearly homemade. It was perfectly buttery and flaky, yet firm structural. The sauce was also delicious. A must: pairing everythingggg with their house made ranch. My brother got a steak hoagie and was pretty disappointed when a small sandwich with a meat patty and a side of potato chips is what came out. It just didn't match the caliber of the pizza at all. We also got to Italian sub style hoagies, and those were both small and underwhelming as well. The dining room had a bit of a disheveled feel but I couldn't quite put my finger on what was off. The servers were attentive and kind. We parked at the Levee and walked over. Overall synopsis: I actually can't wait to get pizza here again!!!

The restaurant was clean and comfortable. They have outside seating, which could be nice in the right weather, though the area is just feet from the main drag. Our server was fine. I have no real recollection of them. We ordered a deep dish, looking to find a pizza as good as Zachary's in California. Bourbon House Pizza is not as good as Zachary's, but it is the best deep dish pizza we've tried in the Cincinnati area since we've been back in Cincinnati since 2021. We made our own pizza in an attempt to match our favorite - spinach and mushrooms. It was good. I enjoyed the sauce on top. Under the sauce, the cheese was very thick making the overall taste of the pizza very cheesy. We had a similarly cheese deep dish in Chicago. Our pizza at Bourbon House was better. I will say the crust is thick. I would have eaten the crust if there had only been two pieces per person. Since I was faced with potentially eating four pieces, I opted to skip the crust. One of our group asked if she could order from the kid's menu. The server had no issue with the request. Oddly enough, her meal was huge! We were all surprised it was a kid's meal. Our fourth ordered a small pizza. It looked like it had pineapple on it. I didn't ask how it was, but he ate every bite. It must have been a small and it was the perfect single serving size. Oh... we ordered a medium deep dish. It was eight pieces and was too much for two people. Because we were going to a show after dinner, we didn't box up the leftover two pieces. This size pizza would be great for four people to share. We will continue to look for great deep dish pizza, but we definitely found a good one at Bourbon House Pizza.
