Smoked wings
Kamron A.

Definitely the best smoked wings around! Great size and flavor! Get the sauces on the side so you can try a variety! The fries also are delicious! Will definitely be back!

Chicken wrap & Saratoga chips

Relaxed sports bar with variety! Visited many years ago and went with a friend recently and had a great experience. Attentive staff, great food and relaxed place to hang out. I used street parking, not sure that there is a parking lot. Will definitely be back! I'd recommend the chicken wrap and Saratoga chips.

My husband and I decided to walk around Fort Thomas and we had heard Midway Cafe was great place for burgers and believe me it doesn't disappoint. I ordered theIr burger with all the fixings and pepper jack cheese. Saratoga chips on the side. Delicious. The place was packed and service exceptional. We willl be heading back to Midway again and again.

Sweet & spicy

Yummm... worth the wait!! Ordered the smoked wings!!! I prefer the dry rubs over the sauces you can taste the wing flavor better!!! We ordered 10 sweet & spicy, 10 garlic parmesan and 10 cajun rub... next time I will definitely be getting ranch rub, dill pickle rub & cajun rub.. again!!

Carolina Gold and Cajun Dry Rub? Yes, Please
Mike S.

There are great wings in this town, and then there's Midway Cafe. Midway is an absolute gem, and you have to try their Cajun Dry Rub and Carolina Gold wings. I have a tough time ordering anything else and typically order so much that we have leftovers to enjoy too (my strategy amd it works). I really can't help it because they are amazing. If you are a lover of wings or haven't had a genuinely GREAT wing, look no further. Oh, and everything on their menu is delicious too. Please tell the owners, Erika and Staci, hello when you are there. And say, "I saw this excellent Yelp review from Mike S. And the recommended I order the Cajun Dry Rub and he said something about the Spicy Nutella?"

Service was great. Place is nice, it's clean and inviting. The food is good, but by god the prices are outrageous.

Green Line Kitchen And Cocktails - Salmon with risotto and shrimp

Green Line Kitchen And Cocktails

We had a reservation for 6pm and walked in and got right to our table, with drinks shortly following. I ordered their espresso martini, which was very solid. For an appetizer I ordered their soup of the day (clam chowder) and entree was the orange roughy in a lemon cream sauce, with wild rice and broccoli on the side (and my wife got the prime rib - WOW!). Both were EXCELLENT - wish the portion sizes were bigger honestly on mine! For dessert we all split the lemon mascarpone cake and cheesecakes, which were devoured. Then, because it was one of those rare warmer nights in February, we went outside and sat in front of the fireplace and drank a bottle of wine and hung out for an hour or two. Our server and the manager were absolutely awesome and hit all the high points. Definitely a great experience all around. Only SLIGHT downside was the parking lot around back, which was totally full, but can't really fault Green Line for that. We found street parking not far away. Five stars for Green Line - 100% will be back!

My brother's Orange Roughy was delicious, my wife's Pork Chops were as good as she remembered, my Seafood Diablo was excellent. Lauren N., our server was very good and checked in on us as needed. A few observations, though, that I would like to put in this review. We went for a reservation at 4:45 as my brother moves slow, so early, before the dinner crowd. The bar was in our sight and that is where all the servers were hanging out. If not there, they were hanging out at the doorway into the kitchen, chatting and doing whatever on their phones. I just think that this inappropriate. Surely there is something for them to do, or someplace that they can congregate out of customers view. My other observation is regarding the cleanliness of the restroom area. The hallway into the restrooms smells so much like urine and inside of the men's room the smell was even more pronounced. This needs to be taken care of. This is a successful business, with delicious food and I hope that the owners/managers take note, that things like this will eventually keep good customers from coming back. I will return be assured. My five star rating is for the food!

We had the 5…read morecourse Tasting Menu for $90. per person. we have had many tasting menus before and left feeling very disappointed with our experience. The portions for even a tasting menu were extremely small. My entee (salmon) came out not hot. Our server was not attentive (never once refilled our water glasses or asked if we enjoyed any of our dishes). Overall we were left with the question of: what is all the fuss about with this restaurant? We will not be back.

What's striking about the restaurant itself is how quiet and calm it feels. With limited nightly seatings and every dinner table doing the tasting menu there's a sort of orchestrated flow that permeates the space. Not to say energy is low or it's so quiet you feel self-conscious talking; it's just that nothing about the experience feels rushed or accidental. As expected, the bread course was phenomenal as was all the food we enjoyed! We opted for the wine pairing along with dinner, which results in about 1.5 or 2 full glasses over the course of the meal. The sommelier did an excellent job introducing and explaining each wine, as well as why it was selected to pair with each course. All told, a lovely experience and one worth repeating--and not just because the menu changes every season.

The Goetta is a regional dish popular to the area comprised of sausage and potato fried like a smash burger. It was packed full of flavor and was nice and crispy. A must get was the biscuit and gravy. Unlike the southern style which is usually thick and creamy, this has amazing seasoning, plenty of the sausage crumble, and rich texture. The biscuit underneath was soft and savory and paired very well in this dish. The filet and eggs were perfectly cooked and had good flavor. There were a lot of diced potatoes on the plate to enjoy which was also well seasoned and crispy. Lastly the big easy omelette was very good. I do like the fact it was plated on top of a piece of toast. The biscuit and gravy along with the omelette gave a very strong New Orleans feeling. The cocktails also hit their mark. Local distillery Riff was the maker of the bourbon for the mule. I'm not sure of their lineup but it compared to Bulleit Bourbon. Very stable in the cocktail without being overpowering. The hard truth was a coffee with a punch and a great way to start a vacation morning. The restaurant was deceptively large from its outward appearance. There is lots of seating available and the tables moved swiftly. The large garage style doors allowed for full fresh air circulation and opens the brightness from the natural lighting. Being a corner location they were able to maximize on the opened interior dining experience. Overall 4.7 out of 5

We started with the spicy candied sprouts, a wonderful combination of roasted Brussel Sprouts, hot honey, spicy candied bacon, and served with house-made ranch ($11). These were definitely spicy, but were very tasty and a wonderful dish to share as an appetizer. The ladies shared the chicken & waffles, a large plate of fried chicken, served on a house waffle, with hot honey, spicy candied bacon, butter, and powdered sugar ($19). This featured some of the same ingredients as the sprouts, but was a much sweeter dish thanks to the sugar and waffles. They were very happy with the choice, and this is available on both the brunch and dinner menus. I ordered the Greek chicken wrap with shredded chicken, hummus, pickled red onions, cucumber, feta, and cilantro vinaigrette, all wrapped in naan bread and served with house-cut fries ($16). This was really good, and I especially liked the tangy cilantro vinaigrette sauce. The fries were also very good. This dish is also available on both the brunch and dinner menus.

The space is open, bright and well decorated making it very inviting for brunch. You order at the counter from the menus placed along the wall then food is delivered to your table. The various brunch items all sounded very inviting so I was having trouble deciding what to order. So I got a recommendation to try the Shakshuka. Not sure how to pronounce it but when it arrived it was just the right portion and quite tasty for brunch. It's a bowl with a red pepper sauce and feta cheese and kale along with eggs sunny side up. The dish is served with pita so you can do a little bit of dipping in the tasty sauce. To accompany our food we selected the mimosa service and bloody mary pitcher. A pitcher is just perfect for sharing. And the mimosa service was delightful. The server arrived with a bottle of Prosecco and small carafes of orange, grapefruit and blood orange juices to mix yourself. The food was fresh and tasty with prompt delivery of our food to our table. Not quite a full service restaurant since you have to order at the counter but still a nice experience located downtown.
