Great bike ride with friends today on the Miami Bike trail. We stopped at the Trailyard restaurant for a bike to eat. It was my first time there but our friends have been a bunch of times. It wasn't too busy yet, so we were seated right away. Open mic night tonight so I know it's going to be packed. First of all, what a fun place. There's indoor outdoor seating with a huge connect 4 game, corn hole, and a firepit with tons of patio seating and chairs and stools. Our waitress was friendly, took our drink/food order right away. Everything looks good when you're hungry lol. I ordered the Pot Roast sandwich with beef Au Jus and fries and I loved it. Hubby got a Bourbon Burger he loved it. Friends got a Trailyard stuffed burger and Mahi Mahi sandwich/they loved theirs too. The fries were very good as well. We will add this to our bike trail restaurant rotation! Understaffed, timeliness apparently is not a goal of this establishment. Went for lunch today with two friends. Seated fairly rapidly however fifteen minutes later waiting to order. Order placed one buffalo chicken, one mahi-mahi and one caprese chicken sandwich. Twenty minutes later caprese sandwich is presented, almost twenty minutes after that the other two sandwiches arrived! The food was good however not good enough to expend a bit over an hour and a half to order and consume. We watched this scenario play out repeatedly during our extended meal, in fact one couple departed after being seated and waiting for 20 minutes to place a food order. Another couple discouraged by the time it took to be acknowledged and seated left after a fifteen minutes at the podium. They had but two wait staff who were seating, taking orders and running the food. There was not checking on our table, there was seating ,drinks, order , food, and check. If you want any semblance of consideration for your time go someplace else. Food was good however timeliness is integral for a lunch stop, we will not return. read more

Came in for burger week. Ordered the Aoli Crunch burger. Did not like it at all. Hands down the worst burger I've tried this week. Service was pleasant but the are slooooow.. Getting our burgers took 30 minutes. I've been here before and have enjoyed the casual atmosphere and outdoor seating but I recommend skipping this restaurant during burger week. Nothing about the burger tasted good to me. The onion straws were sweet and greasy, the overall effect was an oily belly bomb. They offered to bring me something else but we have to get back to work. I don't have 30-45 minutes more to wait for another entree. read more

My Mr. and I were doing the annual Sip Trip 6 (19.7 miles Beer and Bike Adventure from Fifty West Brewing to Cartridge Brewing) and this was one of the stops. It's on the bike trail which makes it very convenient and fun. Honestly, I've never heard of it but when we stopped, I was amazed with the location and feel to this place. Very outdoorsy and family oriented. You pull up and see a barn and a beautiful backyard. Feels like you at home. We had to check out the food menu! They have appetizers, salads, wings, sandwiches, and burgers. Your basic pub and grub. They have a really great craft beer selection. Especially on tap. We ordered: -2 Hazy Pale Ale 2026 Collab -BLT-A: Apple wood smoked bacon, Lettuce, tomatoes, avocado spread, served with marble rye bread They were slammed when we got there for lunch. But we still managed to get our food right away and it was delicious! The fries were coated and had great flavor and loved our sandwich. The avocado spread was fresh. Savannah our beertender was our server and she was kicking some major ass at the bar handling the bar and long lines by herself. Definitely on point and wish all bartenders were as attentive as she was. This was a really great experience and I can't wait to come back when we ride out on our bikes again. The service was horrible. Stopped in with three friends and really all we wanted was a beer after an outing. We all sat down at one of the long high-tops that was along the wall between in and out. We sat there for at least 10 minutes waiting for someone to come over as we watched no less than 5 waitresses standing around by the kitchen shooting the bull.... After asking the inattentive "hostess" what was up we were informed that our spot didn't have an assigned waiter/waitress and we should order at the bar. Really frustrating and not a place I'd tend to stop at again for a quick beer or three. Only had one and left. They could have done so much better! read more

Stopped in after almost 22 Miles of bike riding. I sat down with me friends and asked Halle our waitress what she recommend and I ordered it. The Mahi Tacos. I also ordered fries, because I hadn't eaten all day. This restaurant is literally on the bike trail, there are bike posts along the trail, there is a huge outdoor seating area and very clean bathrooms inside. Halle took great care of our requests and filled our drinks as needed. The Mahi tacos were very well worth it and I am so glad I took the recommended. I will be back. read more

I've been there three or four times. Every time something bad happens with service. Most recently I ordered a hamburger, ate most of it and paid. Once I paid I noticed a hair in the food. When I mentioned to the server, she said she couldn't refund since I just paid so she gave me a gift card with the amount I just paid. Then the next time I went, they said nothing was on the card when I went to pay with it. I would NOT recommend this place. Another time I went they were putting down a plate of food and spilled half of it on me. When I asked to for a refund, they said, "Well, you actually got more than we normally give". My fiancee and I decided to join in on the 6th annual 50 West Sip Trip bicycle ride which included a stop by here. We were both pretty excited to try it too because it looked so cool and laid back. Definitely bicyclist friendly since it's right next to a bike trail. They have lots of indoor and outdoor seating with a relaxed atmosphere. They feature live music on weekends too. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, especially the bartender Savannah, who was pouring pints like a pro. We decided to get a bite to eat there too to keep us going for the rest of the trail to Cartridge Brewing. Their menu is pretty big with lots of pub grub options from salads, sandwiches, wings, nachos, and so much more. We both had a pint on the Sip Trip hazy IPA and split a BLT-A sandwich with fries. Even though they were busy, we didn't wait long. The fries were hot and seasoned perfectly. The BLT-A was delicious and hit the spot for sure. My fiancee enjoyed it all too. The outside space here is amazing. Plenty of room and corn hole boards to keep people busy as they wait for a table. There was live music on this Saturday night and it was decent. Inside bar does a good job of getting brews and snacks to those waiting. The food and service once we were seated was just ok. You could count the French fries included in the kids meal. Getting a refreshed drink or refill was a chore. Everyone had mediocre meals in our party. I would recommend going here for after work drinks or an appetizer, but not necessarily dinner. read more

We decided to try the Miamiville Trail yard for brunch. The atmosphere was nice and inviting. We could see bikers on the Loveland bike trail as they road by the restaurant. We were promptly seated. Although it listed hot tea on the menu, the server said it was not available. She suggested that I could have some of the tea just brewed for the ice tea. No thanks. My husband and I both ordered the traditional breakfast. My biscuit looked like it came out of a package and was cold. My husband's toast was barely toasted and cold. Eggs and bacon were unremarkable. The best part of the meal was the small fruit cup with fresh blueberries and strawberries. I didn't even take pictures because of the quality. The meal with tip was almost $40. Not worth it. We will come back at some time and try the lunch or dinner menu. Hopefully it will be better. read more

Came here for a late lunch on Saturday and I must say.. it was quite pack.. for a late lunch! lol.. Anywho.. I really like the vibe of this establishment. It was a bit too loud (live music) to bring my one and a half year old.. but that's a me problem, not a them problem ha! Anyway!! for lunch I ordered their crispy chicken sandwich and upgraded my side to their Caesar salad.. The sandwich was good, but would have loved a little more sauce but that's okay.. the Caesar salad was the star of the show.. IT WAS SO GOOD. Now I get it.. some folks are like.. it's just a Caesar salad.. whatever guys! I am huge fan of Caesar salad and theirs was really good! Nice chucks of parm cheese and it was VERY WELL coated with the dressing. I would come back here just for the salad haha. The service was fantastic! Our server was super kind and attentive especially with us having two little ones. She was kind and patient - checked in on, etc. Great staff! Lastly.. I LOVE the outdoor seating.. even though it was freezing outside we ventured out to check it out.. and it's such a chill vibe. The good...The food and service was top tier. Everyone in our group of 7 got their order in quick time and it was hot and delicious The bad...the ambiance was fine the first 30 minutes. A Saturday noontime 'concert' ruined the rest of our visit. So loud no one could talk and be heard. I asked our server if something could be done and she said no. They could have turned down the amps. It didn't need to be that loud. If there hadn't been rain storms predicted we would have sat outside. The location and ambiance drew us in twice to this restaurant. It is right on the bike trail and has excellent outdoor seating that is suitable for children and pets. On a Saturday afternoon, they even have live music. The food was good American food as well. The service gives this restaurant 2/5 stars. It was not a very crowded day for lunch. Though we were promptly seated, we were not visited by a waiter for 10 + minutes while other tables were and had to re-visit the hostess stand to get someone's attention. I believe our appetizer was not placed, and our waitress did not return to our table until once again to speak about the time lapse, we visited the hostess stand to ask them to find our waitress who we could not spot. This happened for a third time when we did not receive our final single beverage for over 20 minutes and were pleading to close our tab and leave. We did not see a manager to support any tables as needed, we should have tipped the hostess for her help. As other waitresses and waiters are moving about, they also were unable to help our table. We went to Miamiville Trailyard for breakfast, which was pleasant enough, but it seems more like a place to sit outside and enjoy a beer. In fact, it has the vibe of a brewery, large garage doors that open up to give the inside an outside feel. It was too hot to eat outside but we walked through on our way out and it's really cute with fresh flowers, tables with umbrellas, and a fire pit. For breakfast, I ordered a traditional breakfast. My bacon didn't come out crispy like I asked, but I was impressed with the fresh fruit on the side was strawberries and blueberries, not unripe melon like most places seem to serve. My family also ordered the breakfast tacos and the avocado toast and both liked them as well. Our server did a good job bringing us refills or extra napkins when we asked for them. All in all, it was a decent breakfast but I'm really looking forward to hanging out on their patio when the weather cools off a bit. read more

I have had three really bad experiences at the Trail Yard so I will not be back.The first was because of a extremely rude waitress. The second time that same rude waitress sloped our drinks down spilling one and never said sorry or came back to clean up her mess. The third time was today when we were told we could get a drink at the bar and sit outside because it was a forty minute wait to get a table. I said no problem we are just staying for one drink. We got our drinks went out and sat at a empty table. We took two sips of our drinks then a server came out and said did anyone sit you here? We said no and he said we are on a forty minute wait and you will have to move. Now there was no line and there were at least 10 empty tables. I said we are just going to finish our drinks and leave. He insisted that we moved and said he had no other choice the manager told him to make us move. I said tell your manager if there is no one at this table when I finish my beer we will not be back. And guess what? All those tables where still empty. That place sucks and as terrible costumer service! My friends and I that used to go in there a couple of times a month will never go back. read more

A wonderful spot for food and libations. Stopped in with a buddy and sat at the bar for food and a couple brews. We were greeted and taken care of by the dynamic duo of Eva and Bailey - a couple of really awesome ladies! Eva recommended a terrific IPA that I enjoyed, and my Trailyard burger was delicious! The best part of our time was definately those two gals though. They were obviously busy, but we enjoyed their joking and banter...these ladies made the night for us! We tried to eat here; planned our bike trip with a stop for dinner as our "turnaround" before biking back north. Beautiful weekend weather, lots of people on trail, though the place wasn't too crowded. Many empty tables. Was told it was a 25-30 minute wait time to get a table. It wasn't table room, it was the kitchen they were concerned with, we were told. So we left as we didn't want to be pedaling a harder part of the trail after dark because it would likely have been a long food to table wait also. This is indicative of bad management and planning - if you are a weather dependent venue like this you call in extra staff! Or, they are trying to get people to drink more (the real moneymaker in food service) before dinner. Either way, this place is off our bike stop list. Either go to Milford itself or up to Loveland. read more

We have been here several times and find the place, I dunno, contradictory. Though the ambiance, location and food are GREAT (caps on purpose), the employees always seem unhappy and distant...even on the previous encounter, on a weekday, when the place was almost empty. This last visit, yesterday, was pleasant enough, doors open, birds singing, bikers enjoying lunch but we sat and waited; and waited. I went to the bar after admiring all the folks with their Lycra biking suits but the dour-faced lady and several helpers there also ignored me, so I returned, ears and tail turned down, to my seat. The folks at the next table took pity on me and shared some very spicy Bloody Mary from a huge cauldron on thier table...not my cup of tea! I finally got up the nerve to ask the hostess; "Is someone planning on visiting our table?" After I complained, there were muffled voices in the kitchen followed by a young server rushing over. She removed the nasty Mary and the rest of the meal...pot roast with au jus and broccoli and beer...okay, two beers...was lovely. The bill came to $52...a bit on the high side for us struggling seniors but hey, we enjoyed it. Pretty standard place for bar food and drinks. The food is a little better quality than your standard bar food. We went on a trivia night which was a good added bonus. We would go back if in the area or for trivia again but not something I would have to have on a regular basis. I've driven through Miamiville several times - blink, and you're through town already-- but I'm here to tell you not to blink because of you do, you'll miss out on Miamiville Trailyard. It's actually kind of a big structure so you can't miss it -- or, if you are like me, you might think it's a really nice-looking county park building since it's along the Little Miami Bike Scenic trail. Which is completely not what it is! It's a restaurant and bar with a huge outdoor eating and hanging about area. Very casual. If there was a beach, this would be the beach bar, with good food. My family was hungry (I was not but willing to ride along), so we decided to give the Trailyard a try. While we waited about 30 minutes to get seated, we got drinks. I got a pint of Sam Adams Summer Ale, hubby got the PsycHOPathy by Mad Tree Brewing, daughter had an Arnold Palmer made with strawberry lemonade. We enjoyed them out in the yard at the counter along the fence facing the bike trail. Very refreshing! This is definitely a relaxed kind of place. You'll get served eventually, the wait staff are spread out over the expansive space serving the wide variety of folks, including families with little kids. Our waitress with distracted but very friendly and we got what we ordered and enjoyed the people-watching -- and a giant Bavarian pretzel that was awesome! -- while we waited. Hubby loved his pot roast sandwich with au jus, served with onion straws. Daughter enjoyed her cheeseburger and fries. Lots of parking -- big lot for cars, and grass for bicycles out front. Great spot right by the bike trail! Burgers are always spot on and Brussels sprouts are simply delicious. My kids also love their chicken tenders and tater tots. Good selection of beer and always friendly and accommodating staff! It's a casual vibe place with little industrial interior decor. Hubby and I stopped into this corner restaurant after his hockey tournament. It's a really cute warm place that is updated and modern and has the look of an up and coming brewery. The service was great, though we were her only table at this time, she checked on us an appropriate amount of times and made sure our drinks weren't empty. The food just wasn't really there. It wasn't bad--but it's nothing to write home about and I certainly won't be trying to return here.
