    Goetta Sandwich

I finally made it out to MadTree's newest venture, MadTree Parks & Rec, out in Summit Park of Blue Ash. This location is somewhat similar to the Oakley taproom, a big open space with a large bar in the middle, but also different in several ways. First of all, this is more of a restaurant, with table service, and a very nice expanded menu. Second, while the taproom is somewhat kid-friendly, the newest spot is super family-friendly with a kids' menu along with indoor and outdoor play spaces. Brunch is served all day, every day. And while I typically am not a brunch guy, I had to try the goetta sandwich topped with candied bacon, American cheese, pickled jalapenos, lettuce, and ranch dressing. This comes served with hash browns for $16. This was a great sandwich, with a perfectly cooked, thick slice of goetta, a unique set of toppings, and it should definitely not be skipped. The hashbrowns are also awesome, shaped into a ball and filled with a tasty potato and cheese mixture. I wish the food at the Oakley taproom was more like this, since this location is very close to my home.

Love the open space and in summer those doors will be great

What a great place very cool MadTree interior. Well placed for summer fun in the park. The service was prompt and very friendly. Adam explained the beer options and made recommendations on the food menu. I had the buffalo wing they were sauced well and very meaty. The giant pretzel was great and I loved the addition of the whole grain mustard. Of course the beer was on point. What a great addition to the MadTree family

Went for brunch on a Saturday morning with some friends and our kids. Huge space with a fun kids area. We were the first ones in the place and were seated and served right away. Limited breakfast/brunch options but The chicken and waffles was good. The frittata was just so so. Overall we enjoyed our time there and will be back to try lunch or dinner!

This place was great! Make sure to turn into the park as that is where the best parking lot is for the place. Google maps had me turning into the employee lot for some reason. Chris, Jacob, and Caroline helped us. They were so awesome and so extremely friendly! Totally was worth the day just getting served by them. We sat outside in the good weather and there was plenty of seating for lunch. Plenty of seating inside as well. I have the wedge salad which was amazing! Seriously top-notch! My friend had a burger and fries but there was some spicy mayonnaise on his burger and he could need it because of his cancer treatments and the diet he has to follow. Caroline the manager completely got him a new burger with fries to accommodate and that was so helpful of them! Very much looking forward to my return trip!

Great addition to Summit Park. During slower times I think it's a great place to be. Great decor, clean, attentive wait staff. The pizza is good - I would never go for the pizza but it's decent and the crust is really good. As you would expect a nice selection of beers. Lots of outdoor seating. There are a lot of kids here - very family friendly. Can be a pro or con depending. It can get very crowded and when it is - be prepared to wait (like anywhere else).

I've always been a huge fan of MadTree. When they first opened up on Kennedy, 2.0 in Oakley and the Alcove downtown. What a great addition to the Blue Ash area and even better! Larger and with more tables and event spaces. Love the landscape to the outdoor patio. There's fire pits and it's more inviting. They also make all their meals in house. From Appetizers, Brunch (yes all day), salads, sandwiches, pizza and an awesome drink menu. They have everything to their beers on taps, wine, sway, specialty cocktails, and more! You can sit anywhere (except reserved tables) and you get waited on. Lindsey and Gina (sorry if I misspelled your name). They were both very down to earth and attentive. We ordered: Dinner: -The Forager Pizza Olive oil, minced garlic, mozzarella, goat cheese, wild mushroom mix, pine nuts, truffle oil -Beet & Quinoa Salad -Wings -Mammoth Pretzel with extra bier cheese Drinks: -Pineapple Poblano Margarita -Skygazer wheat ale -Ahuevo Mexican-style lager -Queen city Pale Ale -Porter There Wow! All the food was amazing! Especially the pizza! Loved the ingredients and the crust was thin- combination of crispy/soft. My friends enjoyed their meals as well. I can't get enough of their margarita. Not too sweet and loved the spicy/salt rim. The espresso martini was a great dessert drink! I could've ordered more but didn't want to get drunk. Overall it was a great experience and can't wait to come back and try their brunch.

    Lots of seating!

I'll admit to being a little biased about Madtree after working there for a couple years on the packaging/production team. I was a fan of their product even before that and my lady and I had one of our first dates at their original location on Kennedy. Needless to say, we both wanted to check out the newest location here. We went with a couple close friends and we all enjoyed it. Lindsey, our server was very friendly and welcoming. She checked in on us very regularly to make sure we were all good. Here's everything we had: -The Forager Pizza 18" Olive oil, minced garlic, mozzarella, goat cheese, wild mushroom mix, pine nuts, truffle oil -Beet & Quinoa Salad -8 Wings w/ Buffalo sauce and ranch on the side -Mammoth Pretzel with extra bier cheese Drinks: -Pineapple Poblano Margarita -Skygazer wheat ale -Ahuevo Mexican-style lager -Queen city Pale Ale -Seeing Colors Tropical Hazy IPA -Porter There -S'more Espresso martini My lady really enjoyed her margaritas with a spicy salt rim. She absolutely loved the s'more espresso martini she had for dessert. It's tough for me to pick one favorite beer because I really liked all of them. Our pizza was as excellent too. We also liked the open atmosphere of the place. So much seating inside and outside. And just like their location in Oakley, this one is very dog friendly too. We'll definitely be going back and asking for Lindsey to be our server again. She was GREAT!

I had a great experience my first time here. It was super crowded due to the weekend but they had a ton of servers and bar staff so we still had excellent fast service. The atmosphere itself is the best aspect of MadTree. They have cool tree decorations in the ceiling and walls with lots of outdoor space. They also have a large activity space inside and out for kids. Its very family friendly. The food was overall pretty good. The fried pickles were the crunchiest, one of the best I've ever had. And their hard cider was great. I will definitely be going back!

Sparknotes: Cool theme and great for families & larger groups If you are familiar with the Oakley Madtree, I would say that this new location is much more geared towards families. If you are expecting a young adult brewery atmosphere (especially on a sunny Saturday afternoon) then this probably isn't for you. That said, this is a fantastic gathering spot for families and larger groups. My friends rented a space inside for a birthday gathering and it was perfect - we had enough space for the 20+ people and great service from a bartender that would check in on us and place orders on a tablet. I really love the cabin style theme of this location, it is perfect for sunny and gloomy days alike. They also have a nice outdoor space with a little playground for kids that is woodsy/cabin themed as well. Lastly, even the drinks had a camping spin - I ordered an espresso martini that came with a delicious toasted marshmallow

We had a super large party , definitely a few snags in the reservation once we arrived but staff was super accommodating and ended up finding chairs and making things work for our large group of adults & kids! Food was excellent, drinks were always flowing even with how busy with place is there's plenty of nice staff and ready for anything kind of servers !! We will definitely be back next time in town

Madtree has succeeded in creating another amazing space. This location is super family friendly, from the camping play space inside to the nature scape surrounded by tables and swings, to the life-sized foosball table and Gaga pit, it has hours of entertainment built in. I love how much they embraced the outdoors with their welcoming seating and cozy fire pits. QR codes are available for easy mobile ordering outdoors, unfortunately you have to belly up to the bar to order any drinks. The menu is smaller(brunch looks the best, but I haven't tried it yet), but delicious. Definitely add this spot to your list!

Caprese Canyon gluten free pizza is delicious! We visited opening weekend and snagged the last two seats at the bar. Parks & Rec is going to be popping for a while, especially this summer when Summit Park is in full swing. Congrats to Madtree! Happy Amber is one of my favorite Madtree beers but it was great to enjoy a flight. The cocktail menu is fun but it's hard not to get a beer! Parks & Rec is killing the inclusivity aspect of a nice time out with the family. The play space out front is going to be so fun this summer, I'm impressed! Service was great, we will be back!

Interesting concept. I guess this location is newly opened. When we arrived, we were greeted and she explained the process. It is open seating and tables are full service. We found a table quickly and were greeted with menus quickly. You open a tab to start. The location is very open with a game room, bar and event space. Lots of kids playing in the game room. Looked like there were board games you could take to the tables. Lots of young families and it was very busy for a Sunday in between lunch and dinner. I ordered the wedge salad and wings in garlic Parmesan. My husband ordered the cowboy breakfast. The wedge salad was a big chunk of iceberg with a little drizzle of ranch. With that big of a wedge, it needed a lot more dressing The wings looked great but the flavor was off. Like the garlic was bitter. You can tell they thought out the presentation with 4 drums and 4 flappers. Maybe a different sauce would help. My husband's cowboy breakfast was a disappointment. He ordered his steak medium and it was well done. Eggs were ordered scrambled softly but came out like a folded, flat pile. The hash brown balls were good with a little cheese and a hint of herbs. Service was on and off. I think we had 3-4 people "wait" on us. One got our drink order, one got our food order, one delivered food and another came by a couple times. Refills on our drinks were hard to get. Eventually, my husband went to the bar and got them. About 10 minutes later, one of the wait staff (I think our actual server) remembered and brought them. Hopefully these items can be worked out over time. There were a lot of nachos and pizzas coming out of the kitchen, so that might be good to try.

If you haven't been to MPH Brewing in Montgomery, you're either stuck in traffic... or parked…read moresomewhere three blocks away wondering if this place is really worth the walk. Spoiler: it is. The only real complaint here is that the parking situation occasionally resembles a Black Friday doorbuster...,,except instead of discounted TVs, you're fighting for proximity to exceptional beer and people who actually seem glad you showed up. From the moment you walk in, you get hit with something rare these days: genuine, unscripted hospitality. Sierra, the general manager, runs the place with the kind of quiet authority that says, "Yes, we're in control....and yes, you're going to enjoy yourself." She's sharp, composed, and clearly the reason everything hums instead of hiccups. Then there's Maddie...her sister....who is essentially a human champagne cork. Every interaction pops, sparkles, and somehow gets more entertaining the longer you're around her. Watching Sierra and Maddie interact is like seeing discipline and delightful chaos shake hands and decide to run a brewery together. The result? A place that feels both dialed-in and alive. Caroline deserves her own headline. Not just pleasant...precision-level accommodating. The kind of service where you don't have to ask twice, and usually don't even have to ask once. She and Maddie made sure we were completely taken care of out on the porch, including getting a fire going when the temperature dipped into that sneaky "do I need a jacket or not?" zone. That's not service..,.that's anticipation. The food? Legitimately strong. The prosciutto and fig jam pizza hits that perfect balance of sweet, salty, and "why did we not order two of these?" Their salads don't feel like a punishment, and the sandwiches,,..let's just say people aren't exaggerating. You'll see tables guarding them like trade secrets. Now the beer....this is where MPH separates itself from the "nice patio, average product" crowd you find scattered along certain nearby river-adjacent zones. These beers don't just show up,,.they perform. Clean, well-crafted, and across a lineup that feels like a brewmaster who knows exactly what he's doing and isn't guessing. You could drop several of these into a national competition and they wouldn't just participate--they'd make noise. What stands out most is the environment. Relaxed without being lazy, energetic without being chaotic. If the weather cooperates, sitting outside is one of the most enjoyable, almost unfairly pleasant experiences you'll find in Montgomery. There's really nothing else like it in the immediate area, it's not trying to copy anything, and that's exactly why it works. Bottom line: MPH Brewing is what happens when ownership hires well, trains well, and then gets out of the way of good people doing good work. Just plan your parking strategy like you're invading Normandy--or bring comfortable shoes. Either way, you'll leave glad you made the effort.

To start this place is a "sit down" but you have to order at the bar and they bring it to you. We were a tad thrown off with that since they literally had waiters and people roaming around, didn't make sense to me. But that was just the start! We decided to order nachos and a pretzel to start the meal. The pretzel was disgusting, hard and lacking flavor and the $14 nachos was a side plate with a small portion of nachos on it. I asked the server what was with the size of the nachos and he said he though they were normal. They aren't, you go to a normal bar and for $14 comes out a platter with nachos that are loaded. Then our mains came out, my wife's salad was gross, lacking flavor and with dry chicken and my burger was decent. For $90 this meal should have been WAYYY better. Be aware it will be FAST. Look at the order ahead of time if you're a picky eater/drinker. They run your appointment like clockwork, and you'll be in-and-out, gulping down cocktails, through the entire experience. Your two drinks are included (this year, anyway), and I'd honestly be surprised if you managed to have time for a third. Time zips by fast. That being said, because they do it this way, you essentially have constant service, there's "events" that happen at the end of your reservation time, (I don't want to spoil it, but cover your drink!), and then they kick you out. Service was friendly, though, and I saw the server make time to take group photos for all of the tables (including ours) with someone at the table's camera. (No bullshit "group photo" upsells here) It's kinda loud, though, and I wouldn't recommend this as a chill meet-up-and-socialize spot. (If you wanna talk, they have an addendum, Christmas-themed laid-back bar next door.) It's more of a "get blasted in the face by Christmas for an hour and then leave" experience. It's pretty loud, and talking can be a bit difficult over the music and constant interruptions (more drinks? Photos? Cute Christmas video montage?) But this works in its favor as it feels the most Christmas, over-the-top, and seasonal out of all the holiday bars I've ever been to. It also keeps it from feeling too crowded as reservations are required, so you for-sure have a seat and you don't have to stand forever in line to wait for drinks. I'd probably guesstimate that bar staff is making all of their seasonal drinks, constantly, and servers just pick one up to deliver. With the capacity in here, it would make sense. No idea what the bar is like the rest of the year; this is just a review for the Miracle pop-up which, again, is probably the best I've been to in the Midwest. Cincinnati, you're spoiled down here. (Sidenote, I was absolutely taken aback by their TV presentation on the wall. It's hard to describe, but it isn't just a projector showing a giant rectangle. It's specifically slotted into the holes in-between holiday decorations. Staff told me that had to hire special technicians to get it to show up that way and that's seriously a level of detail I am so amazed by.)
