I visited for the first time with my husband, a beer-lover, over the weekend & we were both surprised the place wasn't busier. It is a nice, casual space that is nicely kept & the service was excellent. I am, admittedly, not a beer-lover (I know, I am ashamed of myself every time I have to order a pricey cocktail). A beverage on their cocktail list caught my eye, but they were unfortunately out of it. They also didn't have the ingredients for another drink, so I ordered a Coke. The servers were both adamant on making sure I got a beverage I was happy with & they delivered! I tried the cider beer on tap & found myself actually enjoying sipping on a beer. That's impressive. My husband was also very happy with his beer, but that is not as shocking We also ordered the Corn Dip (bright corn, cilantro, cotija, jalepeño, & Tajin with tortilla chips). My husband loves corn but is iffy about cold apps, but he still mostly enjoyed it. I very much enjoyed it & would eat again. I recommend coming in, cozying up to the bar, & if you're having trouble making a beverage selection, talking to any of the helpful people they have on staff. Man, I really loved this place. The beers are fantastic, the food is great, and the staff is really kind, except for one female bartender. One bad apple really does spoil the bunch, and this bartender has completely soured my experience at what was otherwise a great brewery. After two recent visits, I'm seriously considering not coming back because of her hostile attitude. Both times she took my order, and the second I stepped up to the bar, she shot me a dirty look. The first time, I thought maybe she was having a bad day. The second time, I knew it was intentional. March First has a great selection of beers, and I love trying before committing to a full pint. I've always asked for samples and never had an issue until this bartender. She got visibly annoyed and proceeded to glare at me, roll her eyes and shake her head. For a grown adult to act so disrespectful for no reason was honestly unsettling. I don't know what I did to deserve this kind of treatment, but it's incredibly frustrating. I'm sorry if I don't look like your usual crowd, but as a regular, I shouldn't have to put up with this kind of animosity. The idea of dealing with her again is enough to make me not want to come back. I used to recommend this place to friends, but I can't do that anymore. As long as she's working there and continues to treat people like this, I won't be back. It's a shame because the place is great, but clearly, I'm not welcome. Our company reserved their party room for approximately 50 people, and the space would've allowed for much more. In addition to the private bar and high top tables, we also had couch seating and an open door to the patio. Our bartenders were friendly and kept the line moving, even with my special requests for ingredients needed at the main bar. Our orders of salads and pizzas were brought out quickly (we cleared the pans!), and requests for dietary restrictions were accommodated and brought to those needing them. Restrooms were conveniently located near our group area. Parking was a bit tricky. The main parking lot was small and additional parking was across the street. It was a bit unsafe not being near a crosswalk or light - cars drive fast here. The crowd was busy on. Wednesday night in the main area, so it seems to be a popular destination. My friend typically loves this place and walking in for the first time it looks really cool set up! I ordered a bourbon banana bread cider which was actually delicious. However, they are known for an orange cream beer and they were out of that which was really disappointing. It is a best seller so shocked they were out because I wanted to try it (and apparently they run out a lot). The vibe overall was cool until the band started playing just because it was SO loud. It was good music and like that they had live music but it just wasn't a relaxing or normal volume for a bar when people are trying to talk at their tables. The two beers I had (HighPoint IPA and blood orange Iso-Trope) were excellent. Interesting seltzer's and a family atmosphere.( the night we visited they had their semi annual fundraiser for the local fire department) The OG brewery/ distillery is huge! Plenty of seating for everyone, outdoor space, and even a conference room for those offsite workdays. Food selection includes pizzas, sandwiches and bar snacks. At first I was hesitant as they seem standard but I was WRONG! Pizza is made to order and the crust was tender and delicious! Honestly I would come check out the food alone! Now for the drinks. They have their beer and selection of seltzer's on tap. On top of that they have made in house vodkas and schnapps. Pro tip: order their chocolate stout and add a shot of peppermint schnapps you won't regret it. Now at first I was confused that they have fig leaf and woodburn beers on top but no worries March first has recently purchased both breweries and are supporting them at their main location! Parking...that's why it's a 3. If parking were better, this would be a 4. Let me digress. My understanding is that March First petitioned the areas city govt to expand their parking lot and were declined. That is a shame. The legit parking lot can probably support 1/3 to 1/2 of the population that can fit in the brewpubs' decently large seating space. Everyone else has to park across a 5 Lane street (no crosswalk or light) or park down the street in other businesses parking lots. Also, to get to the remote parking lots, there are zero lights, so a walk back to your car is pitch black. These are not ideal conditions. This also creates a parking lot of lurking cars, so even the legit parking has an over crowded field as people pleasantly stalk for an available spot. Now let me cover the numerous positives. The beer is good, the food is good, the space is open and we'll lit, they have outdoor seating when the weather is nice, the bar tenders have always been nice, their are many TV's showing sports, the bathrooms are top notch, they have some private spaces that can be reserved, the food comes out quick and fresh, and there are a myriad of bar games that can be played. Those are definitely a lot of positives and they do make for a very positive experience once you've made it from the parking lot de jour. So why not at least a 4 dude? The beer is very good, but the selection of "beer" is limited in favor of many fruffy fruit ales, ciders, porters, and specialty brews. I give them props for producing all these cool specialty drinks and if that is your vibe you will be in heaven. So there is no questioning their mad skills at brewing. For me, I would like to see a broader list of IPA, Ales, and Lagers. I had the Octoberfest and it was very good, but that is about the only one I can get. Will I go back? Absolutely. This is in my normal rotation, and generally has a broader and better selection of food that Fretboard or MPH, so is more of a place I go when my group of friends prioritize eating. I am not sure what I thought this brewery was, but it was so much bigger and more impressive than I had expected! Tucked away in a mostly industrial area in a corridor that is almost Blue ash, Cincinnati, or Mason, this is a pretty large place! The parking lot is not big enough for even moderately busy times, but a sign said something about overflow parking, maybe across the street. When you walk in you are greeted by a very unique horse sculpture, which apparently was accosted one to many times indicated by the barricade and sign that says "please do not mount the horse" haha. Walk through another set of doors and you are in a very large room that is brightly lit with many seating options. There are board games, air hockey, Foosball, and TVs for your enjoyment. The bar is large and has nice digital signs with their many options. Now don't let the name deceive you, this is not just beer! They also make their own hard cider, hard seltzer, and spirits! The bartender let us sample a few things and I settled on the Orange cream beer which was light and refreshing. My friend had the Aglamesis raspberry cider which I tasted and also liked. Please also take note of their beer cocktail menu, which we wished we had seen before already ordering our pints! There is a ton of bar seating, high tables, low tables, and a huge outdoor patio. There is an in house pizza option for food. The menu choices looked great if we hadn't just had pizza elsewhere! I really liked the casual atmosphere here! read more

Great beers, spirits, and atmosphere. Not so great food. The first couple of times we went here, pre-COVID19, it was a lot better. Obviously they were able to pack the people in, but the service was better and more friendly. We popped in this winter to check it out again and were a bit disappointed. If you're looking for a place to relax and enjoy a couple drinks with friends, this is the decent spot. When the weather is nice, they open the garage doors and you can enjoy the patio as well (although it's right on the road so you're not there for views). But in a COVID world, it's a bit more complicated and not as well managed. To start, parking is pretty tight (always has been an issue). Their lot is rather small, but they have arrangements with businesses in adjacent lots that you can park in. So, problem solved! When we were there this winter, I was a little surprised that there was no enforcement of crowds. They had signs posted with capacity limits (lowered I am guessing for COVID) but zero enforcement of it - there were way more people there than the count was set to. Everyone still packed the line for the bar for their drinks and the line snakes between tables which makes distancing with total strangers impossible. You order drinks and food at the bar and then grab a table. The beer is EXCELLENT. In fact, the quality of the beer is one of the huge reasons I still really like this place and would give it a 4. But the food and lack of enforcement of protocols left it at 3. The other reason I still like this spot is that they offer more than just beer. Breweries are great, but not everyone is into beer, so the bourbon and spirit offerings make it more palatable for groups of people to enjoy. I'm sure we'll go back, but probably will skip the food from now on. read more
