    Braxton Tap room offering

Always enjoy my visits to any of the Braxton locations. Their beers are very good. This time of year ( Christmas) the cold weather beers roll in. For Braxton it's there Dark Charge bourbon barrel style beers that are offered up...enjoy their blackberry, peach cobbler, cherry cobbler, Buckeye( chocolate and peanut butter), crème brûlée, skyline chili! Yeah... chili beer as the flavor is spot on, the original Datk Charge. Great for this time of year . This is the Covington location. Parking on the street.

I'm a late bloomer. This was my first Igloo experience. Rooftop was super cold of course. Igloo was warm but I'd still bring a blanket next time. I like the concept and vibe. Dewey delivering pizza is great. Coming out of Igloo to order drinks was a drawback.

Rooftops help take the edge off. You also have the option to eat indoors downstairs if it's too hot or rainy weather with plenty of seating. This brewery does offer some cocktails , but you definitely can get draft beers. This place offers paid street parking, and no reservations. Go with friends , order pizza (Dewey's ) and enjoy the drinks . It's plenty of room and some games to help enjoy the night . You can order food with the app or with an employee. Covington is enjoyable .

Gingerbread house making night at Braxton Brewery, Covington! Great gingerbread beer and Dewey's Pizza!

I stopped by Braxton for a beer and sat on the nice patio outside - it was way too cold inside with the AC blasting. I tried their hazy IPA which was really good. They serve food here, but there's no servers to take your order so that's a bit of a hassle. Overall, I'd come again to explore more food and beer as it's a bit better than most other similar places in town.

Lots of outdoor tables, dog friendly inside and out as well. I enjoyed the beer and pizza. Ordering the pizza was a real pain in the ---. No one in person and an unwieldy cumbersome system. The pizza is brought over to a counter inside the brewery, so the pick up is easy. The amount of indoor dogs was off putting for me. A few were barking quite a lot and not shushed at all. I imagine it isn't this way every day, but it could me. There were lots of outdoor tables no one was using. The beer almost made up for the inconveniences, but not quite.

We love coming to the igloos at Braxton in the winter- it's a great cold weather activity. The igloo bar drinks are great, I love the spiked hot cider with rum. And the food is great- especially love how they have Dewey's offerings!

I've been to Braxton many times, in many seasons. The interior is large, but feels very cozy. I myself and not a big beer drinker, but there is something for everyone here! Most recently my best friend and I enjoyed the igloo experience on the rooftop. It was easy to book/reserve online with a $35 deposit. Once we arrived we were able to pick any open igloo. Each igloo had a QR code menu that allowed you to order food from Dewey's next door that they delivered right to the igloo. The drinks were ordered at a little building on the roof by walk up. There are special cocktails and mock-tails themed for the igloos as well as Braxton beer of course. Plus hot coco!! This was a wonderful experience that I recommend whole heartedly.

Loved the atmosphere. Great options of drinks. Suggestion add blinds or tint to windows. It was very blinding to sit anywhere the sun shined in. Patio roll down blinds or automatic ones work great. Also will help with how hot it gets in here. Otherwise loved our experience here

I love the rooftop bar here though it was too sunny today to sit out there with the laptop and plan my next steps. So instead, I took a look around and found a seat downstairs to drink a couple of beers and eat up some of their speedy wifi. Friendly service, a delicious adult beverage and a comfortable spot. It's five stars. [Review 20504 overall - 245 in Kentucky - 1485 of 2023.]

Great selection and wide variety of brews to fit any pallet. Service is fast. Really busy today I think there was a company get together (prob a great place to work) lol first floor was loud so we moved to the rooftop. Beautiful.

This was a first stop of a long day and I was worried we would not pace ourselves properly, as there were many barrel aged beers we tried. Fortunately, we were able to slow it down and keep legal on the roads. This is a nice taproom. No food in the place, but there are restaurants nearby if you need to grab a bite. Very clean, open taproom. There are also two additional levels which we did not go into, including a rooftop taproom with seating. Beer is good. Not the best in Cincinnati, but they do some solid barrel aged stuff. The dark charge maple from 2019 was my favorite (not sure why so many 2019 beers on tap, unless aged 4 years, but let's roll with it). The White Chocolate raspberry was my second. In hte past, I have had some of their Labs IPAs and a lager, which also rated highly, but was disappointed in their Berliner. For someone living in this area, this could well be their "Cheers" spot. Ample bar space with plenty of tables.

    Dogs allowed inside yet?

I have seen dogs inside before.

    Do they serve food?

They do not serve food, but they partner with the restaurant, the Parlor, next to them. You can call the restaurant order your food and they will deliver it to your table. Worked great for us on our visit.

    Are kids allowed?

Hi there! Individuals under the age of 21 are permitted in our Taproom until 9pm every night. Our Taproom is ages 21 and up only after 9pm.

When will you be opening the Fort Mitchell location? I saw that it was supposed to open in September but have not seen any updates since then.

    They opened Sept 27th. https://www.facebook.com/braxtonbarrelhouse/

    Is the inside dog friendly?

Yes, I think the place allows dogs. The time I was there I saw several dogs. It seemed like a family friendly place.

    Do they have food?

    No just delicious beer

Do they still do trivia night? If so, what night of the week?

Do they still have the giant pretzels?

Yes! At least they did a week ago.

Can you get into Braxton Brewing if you aren't 21?

    Yes - until 9pm!

Please also note though that I am not a connoisseur and know nothing about the correct tasting terms. However, the cider they have currently (August 2023) is so smooth, you'll think you're drinking the best juice with a little kick ever. The fruit notes were not overwhelming and it was very smooth. It also wasn't too carbonated/bubbly tasting. I loved it and def recommend it if you want something refreshing yet super tasty. Secondly, the pizza. Believe the hype. You will not be disappointed in the dough, cheese, or other ingredients they use. The fact that they use San Marzano tomatoes also elevates their food. Lastly, the service is top flipping notch. Kaley Rose's voice and effervescence elevates the experience at Bircus. To have someone who is so welcoming, patient, & kind takes a business from just a good experience to a memory. The other employees were equally as nice and hardworking, so it's obvious that Bircus puts thought into not only their pizza and entertainment but also their drink variety and staff. A well-rounded place. 33/10 recommend.

The seating is family style with long tables. You can order via QR codes (meh) or walk up to the side of the bar for food and drink. The manager came around and introduced himself to everyone and was all over the place. Helping in the kitchen, bar, cleaning up etc.. He's definitely an asset because he didn't disappear as the rush started coming in. The inside is nicely decorated and I was digging their Voodoo/skull theme. We settled in and watched the 4pm NFL game on one of the large TV's while chatting with some disappointed Bengals fans and locals. Beer wise they had a nice selection of classic Voodoo brews (we used to get them a lot in the Philly area several years ago), a balance of styles and some newer brews I'd never heard of. If you enjoy the dark side of beer the Where Our Secrets Go Imperial Stout was delicious and thankfully more along the lines of the traditional style Impy Stout. I had an IPA that I can't remember the name of, but it had a nice Belgian yeast/hop twist to it. My son enjoyed their root beer. Food wise the Jumbo Chicken Wings, roasted in house hit the spot, I highly recommend them. I added their Good Vibes BBQ "Sawce", but you can get them dry rubbed or chose from several other "Sawces". The wings were big with fresh meat and the sauce was great. The Pub pretzel we ordered was huge and the good vibes beer cheese complimented it well. The Mr. Pickles Fried Pickles were also a great choice for an app. They were a big portion. My friend had the Chili Mac and my son ordered the Lil Mashburgers - 2 little smashburgers oozing with cheddar & chippies off the kids menu. We ate, had a couple of beers and enjoyed our dinner at Voodoo before we explored more of downtown Cincy. I'll be honest I wanted to avoid BrewDog and Voodoo and experience home grown Cincinnati breweries, but we were really happy we stopped at Voodoo. Thanks guys you earned a fourth star for great friendly service from the manager and bartenders!!

So my first and foremost reason why I took the time to write a review here was the breakfast, and not really the breakfast but the host of the breakfast, Dennis. The breakfast was Goetta, hash browns, scrambled eggs and toast. There was also so fruits, salami and cheese slices plus a boat of mushrooms. A bonus was mimosas and everyone got a drink ticket for an adult beverage after you left. All that being said, the food was standard. It was good, we all enjoyed it. We all left satisfied even though Dennis said we could have more. How does a standard 3-4 star get a stellar 5 star? You get it with a Dennis... a man who knows how to host even at a Sunday morning breakfast. He cares about his craft and it made the experience.
