I'm a late bloomer. This was my first Igloo experience. Rooftop was super cold of course. Igloo was warm but I'd still bring a blanket next time. I like the concept and vibe. Dewey delivering pizza is great. Coming out of Igloo to order drinks was a drawback. read more

Rooftops help take the edge off. You also have the option to eat indoors downstairs if it's too hot or rainy weather with plenty of seating. This brewery does offer some cocktails , but you definitely can get draft beers. This place offers paid street parking, and no reservations. Go with friends , order pizza (Dewey's ) and enjoy the drinks . It's plenty of room and some games to help enjoy the night . You can order food with the app or with an employee. They serve food here, but there's no servers to take your order so that's a bit of a hassle. Lots of outdoor tables, dog friendly inside and out as well. I enjoyed the beer and pizza. Ordering the pizza was a real pain in the ---. No one in person and an unwieldy cumbersome system. The pizza is brought over to a counter inside the brewery, so the pick up is easy. The amount of indoor dogs was off putting for me. A few were barking quite a lot and not shushed at all. I imagine it isn't this way every day, but it could me. There were lots of outdoor tables no one was using. The beer almost made up for the inconveniences, but not quite. read more

(Note: This is a copy of my review from my experience at Octoberfest, Covington, KY. I left it on the Braxton "Lofts" page but it's probably more appropriate here. ) From my knowledge Braxton Brewing held and hosted Octoberfest in Covington. My wife got us tickets to the private breakfast event for Sunday the 14th so we took the drive up to see how this Octoberfest held up to the larger Cincinnati one. So my first and foremost reason why I took the time to write a review here was the breakfast, and not really the breakfast but the host of the breakfast, Dennis. The breakfast was Goetta, hash browns, scrambled eggs and toast. There was also so fruits, salami and cheese slices plus a boat of mushrooms. A bonus was mimosas and everyone got a drink ticket for an adult beverage after you left. All that being said, the food was standard. It was good, we all enjoyed it. We all left satisfied even though Dennis said we could have more. How does a standard 3-4 star get a stellar 5 star? You get it with a Dennis... a man who knows how to host even at a Sunday morning breakfast. He cares about his craft and it made the experience. On point with every part, great with promptness, great with availability, and great with the little conversations that make an event an experience. We've already talked about coming back next year, hopefully for the dinner event and it will be a nice surprise if Dennis is there hosting that as well. read more

I've been to Braxton many times, in many seasons. The interior is large, but feels very cozy. I myself and not a big beer drinker, but there is something for everyone here! Most recently my best friend and I enjoyed the igloo experience on the rooftop. It was easy to book/reserve online with a $35 deposit. Once we arrived we were able to pick any open igloo. Each igloo had a QR code menu that allowed you to order food from Dewey's next door that they delivered right to the igloo. The drinks were ordered at a little building on the roof by walk up. There are special cocktails and mock-tails themed for the igloos as well as Braxton beer of course. Plus hot coco!! This was a wonderful experience that I recommend whole heartedly. read more

I love the rooftop bar here though it was too sunny today to sit out there with the laptop and plan my next steps. This was a first stop of a long day and I was worried we would not pace ourselves properly, as there were many barrel aged beers we tried. Fortunately, we were able to slow it down and keep legal on the roads. This is a nice taproom. No food in the place, but there are restaurants nearby if you need to grab a bite. Very clean, open taproom. There are also two additional levels which we did not go into, including a rooftop taproom with seating. Beer is good. Not the best in Cincinnati, but they do some solid barrel aged stuff. The dark charge maple from 2019 was my favorite (not sure why so many 2019 beers on tap, unless aged 4 years, but let's roll with it). The White Chocolate raspberry was my second. In hte past, I have had some of their Labs IPAs and a lager, which also rated highly, but was disappointed in their Berliner. For someone living in this area, this could well be their "Cheers" spot. Stumbled upon the igloo bar while searching for rooftop views and was NOT DISAPPOINTED! Reservations are required as there are only a few available. There is also a nominal non-refundable deposit to reserve an igloo, which seats up to 8. Not a big beer fan, I was happy to find cocktails and a spiked hot chocolate option on the menu. LOVE. The Hubbs ordered the cinnamon honey butter and baguette which was warm and delicious. It may have been cold and rainy outside, but our igloo was warm and toasty. Definitely recommend!! read more

So many choices! They literally have something for any type of beer lover. From lagers to sours to IPAS to seltzer. I sampled 4 from the list which I was able to get 5 Oz pours. There was one IPA that I wasn't a fan of, but I loved the rest. My dad had their lagers which he enjoyed. There was plenty of seating at the bar or throughout the brewery. I would definitely recommend for any beer lover. They also offer some specialty cocktails as well. read more

Braxton Brewing Cois brewery visit #258 for me. Big taproom along with a very cool rooftop bar area. While Braxton itself doesn't have food, they have partnered with a pizza place next door which actually has an order desk right in the taproom. I started with a flight of four, which changed as you will see if you stay with me. The Schwartzbier is s good roasty little dark beer. And May The Schwartz Be With You! Dark Charge bourbon barrel aged stout. Great bourbon aroma with a nice sweetness to balance the oaky bourbon flavor. F yeah! A lot of flavor on this. Definitely a sipping beer. Dark Charge double orange curaçao was not my jam. The Orange just didn't work for me. It came across as harsh. The gent behind the bar came over and asked how I was doing. I told him the double orange cane across a bit harsh and he offered up another in the same line that was a coconut cream puff. This was definitely a dessert beer. The coconut was forward and had a decided sweetness throughout. I don't always love sweet beers but I did like this one. A lot of flavor. I also got a bit of molasses and even cinnamon on the tongue. Oktober fuel festbier was a nice easy drinking beer as you would expect. Overall very good. I decided to revisit the coconut cream puff with another taster size. Yes, I do enjoy this beer! The staff helping me out at the bar was a pleasure and the beers were very good. The space is well done and quite welcoming. I enjoyed Braxton Brewing. I recently spent more time exploring Covington and decided to check out Braxton when a friend suggested it. I've just about come to the conclusion that just about any business that sits in this town will ooze charm, and Braxton is no exception. This place is dog heaven. They're everywhere!! So if you've got one, it's a great place to bring your pup to make some new friends. Or, to throw your dog a super boujee birthday party! We accidentally crashed one and it was the best thing that happened to us that day. I absolutely loved their blueberry strudel sour..... So good! They've got a variety of all kinds of pours. In the cold months, you can also go to the rooftop and reserve an igloo, and they are much more reasonably priced than other bars that have them. read more

We booked a rooftop igloo for a bachelorette party last year and it was a total blast. First of all, it was a gorgeous day, so the igloos were soaked in sunshine and heated on the inside. It was winter, but everyone was cozy inside. Everyone ordered a beer and we got charcuterie and soft pretzels for the group. They were delicious and the service was great. There's a designated rooftop bar as well that was serving the igloos. The brewery was packed inside and I saw that they had a collab beer with Graeter's ice cream -- so fun! We parked in a paid community parking lot a few blocks away, which was a win considering how busy of a night it was! read more

The best place we visited in our 2.5 weeks spent with my in-laws, this is the top spot to come back to with the cousins if we're in the area again! We forced as many of the family to come as we could, the youngest 18 to the oldest 39, we all had a great time. The vibe was worth it as soon as I got out of the freezing cold (from the west coast, we were not having the weather out there). The standing tables let us all cram together and get in each others' personal space, then push each other off when we got tired or wanted to talk to someone else, tbh it was sweet to have the choice of not having chairs in the way. The wide open room was the right size to give separate groups some space away from each other. And idk what they do if/ when they use this place as a party venue but I'm guessing it could be next-level with the right set-up in the center. And I'm surprised there aren't better pictures of the back wall where it looked like the kegs and brewing was all going down, that was pretty sick too. The bartenders were all really cool. About 10 of us just to start with, we were going at it and they handled us well. A couple idiots left just our last names on the open tabs which were all the same except one Williams. Our fault there.. Someone from our group also bought a couple pizzas and they were good, got us full and through the night. The drinks! So many to try, I didn't even try to remember them. I like darker beers, if there's a peanut butter or cream I'll have that. They had both and I remember saying I'll be having them again next time :} No one had complaints! But no one came to have a regular beer or more than one of the same anyway; too many to try. I think I might have had a mixed drink too because I ended up talking to the bartender for a minute and she didn't mind explaining ingredients to me at all. So the only annoying part is that the boys couldn't force me back outside to see the rooftop. We'll give it a shot next time in non-dead of winter. read more

A friend wanted to check out this place because of their igloos that are set up on the rooftop during the winter. What a fun idea! You can have up to eight people in an igloo and it's cozy with some seating and blankets and a little heater. There is a two hour time slot where you can hang out and order drinks or food from the bar. We stayed nice and warm even though it started raining outside. My friends thoroughly enjoyed their drinks and we ordered food which came from Parlor on Seventh. Not sure if the connection between the two businesses was a little slow, but the food was a bit cold when we got it. Love the collaboration between the two though. read more

The food was great and easy to order and they deliver to your table. The food isn't their own but the pizza place next door and they still walked over in the rain to deliver. Business was closed for a private event, however yelp states it was open and when calling the location there was no mention of it being closed only noted their hours of operation which said it was open so we drove all the way over to be disappointed. Please, update your business sites or phone menu to reflect accurately. People, especially tourist rely on yelp & social media sites when planning. Especially when time is of the essence. read more

Braxton is a great place and has really helped build the neighborhood around it. Not only do I love their beers, the brewery is relaxed and has a great vibe. We've done adult nights out and also brought our toddler during the day to hang out with friends. Heck, we even visited for trivia nights when I was pregnant. I recently had the opportunity to taste their new Vive summer punch and thought it was great. Their Vive line of hard seltzers has a ton of flavors so there's something for everyone, even my husband who doesn't enjoy beer! I definitely recommend a visit.
