If you ever get a chance to check out some of the events that happen here, I highly recommend it - They are always so much fun! This is a great place to try different bourbons before you go out in the store and buy them!

I have worked in the service industry since I was 15 years old (I am now 34) and I have never had…read moresuch a sour experience before. I stopped at party source to get a 6 pack of my favorite drinks, and was like "hey I'll go get a drink from the bar since for once I don't have all 3 of my kids". I walked into Merchant's Club and sat down at the bar by myself (there was a couple to my left and then a single man to my right, they were not busy at all) Neither bar tender gave me the time of day, even after I said hi when I was sitting down. Finally the tall guy bartender with bleached hair asked me what he could get me (he seemed annoyed that I interrupted him cleaning beer glasses and shot glasses), and I said "can I please get a pickle back?" He said, "we don't have pickle juice." I said "okay that's fine, do you have olive juice?" He said, "yes", and I said, "okay that's fine I will take olive juice in place of pickle juice." He then proceeded to give me a shot of olive juice and went back to cleaning his glasses. I said, kindly, "and the Jameson?" And he responded, "Well you didn't say that." To which I responded "That's what a pickle back is, Jameson with a shot of pickle juice." This entire encounter, I kid you not, was 5 minutes to under 10 mins. I don't care that someone doesn't know what a pickle back is. That's the least concerning thing. The worst part was the aura and vibe both of the bartenders gave me from the minute I walked in to the minute I left. Zero personality (besides seeming like they both hated their jobs) zero consideration, ZERO customer service skills. I know sometimes people are having a bad day. I get it. BUT when you work in the service industry, it's not an excuse. If you're in such a bad mood that you're not going to be able to do your job, which is literally #1 just be kind and hospitable to people, then call off. After he gave me the Jameson and I took my shot he almost immediately said, "will that be all" and I said, "yes please", paid, and walked out. The first employee I saw I walked up to and asked "do you work directly with the bartenders at all?" He said, "No, but what's going on?" I just told him how awful of a 5-10 min interaction I had and that if they act like that to everyone, it's going to severely hurt their business. He apologized over and over and I told him not to apologize, it's not his fault, and to just please relay my complaint to someone that works directly with those bartenders. The worker right outside of the bar was very kind and receptive. I didn't catch the names of the 2 bartenders working when I was there but here's a brief description: the male was white, pretty tall, bleached hair, skinny. The girl was also white with brown hair, medium length, and came up to the guy bartender's shoulder (maybe) in regard to height. I was there on Friday, 9/18 just before 9pm.

Had a great conversation about Studio Ghibli and the graphic novel Uzumaki, if that tells you anything about the staff vibe Purple Rain - great balance of lavender to citrus. I tried this on a whim and absolutely loved it! Mr. Blue Sky - this also had a nice balance of tartness and sweetness. Not too much on either side and made with real blueberries I hear. Despite having such a large group, drinks were out fast and there was plenty of seating. 2 things stick out here: Decor and the Drinks. Both were impeccably done. The nature meets wood and brick aesthetic is so purposefully laid out and when the eye cruises across the landscape it's so satisfying!! We had a LOT of drinks, but the jade river, el toro rojo, and pacific muse were our favorites. The drinks are priced pretty well ($12-$14) and the service was very prompt, always cleaning up empty glasses and clearing space for more people to sit. I for SURE recommend this place as a spot to come and throw a couple rounds back. We stayed for hours and drank and talked our hearts out! Thank you for such a wonderful night. 5 stars.

We're eager…read moreto find a top-tier burger place in the area, though unfortunately this fell a little short of our expectations. Decided to split the Silver Charm for an appetizer, and it came about ten minutes later. The onion rings were decent, good flavor and somewhat crispy. The accompanying sauces of barbecue and ranch were both good as well, though both were missing something to elevate them a bit more I think. The flavor was good, but quite a small portion for $10. My wife ordered the Strike the Gold Burger and I went for the Northern Dancer Crispy Chicken. The sandwiches came out about ten minutes after we finished the Silver Charm, which was perfect timing. She liked her burger pretty well, and I took a bite too. The "caramelized onions" were definitely more sauteed, with still a bit of crunch, and otherwise I could really only taste the barbecue sauce, which was tasty, but I would have liked some more varied flavors. My chicken sandwich was... a bit disappointing. Rather than a chicken piece that appropriately fit the bun, it was more of a chicken strip, with bites that would only yield bun. In addition, because the chicken piece was so small, it was also extremely dry, which is a bummer because I actually thought the breading was very tasty. The chipotle aioli was decent, but didn't pack as much spice or flavor as I was hoping. And with only two toppings and a sauce on the whole sandwich, I was disappointed that the tomato was rather mushy and didn't seem fresh. I will say the fries that came with our sandwiches were crisp and well seasoned, and somewhat unfortunately the best part of my meal. Based on our experience, I didn't hate our dinner here and if someone invited me to meet them here, I wouldn't say no, but I'm also not going out of my way to revisit.

There are so many little divided up areas with eclectic seating, both inside and out. The courtyard is especially nice. When we ordered cocktails, I was deciding between two and the bartender said the one is her favorite so I went with that and she was right, it was very well balanced and really tasty: The Maria Sabina with fig-date tequila, rosemary honey, cinnamon balsamic, and lemon.
