Bock beer in the gazebo in their backyard patio area.
Gregg L.

Gravensteen beer was a great hit. Wife enjoyed her wheat beer. The aroma of the beer had just a little of that "brew day" smell - fresh and irresistible. Bock is also good and surprisingly refreshing despite the heavier body of the style.I was here a few years ago - 13 below has definitely have improved their brew craft and has made a compelling flavor argument for me to find an excuse to come to the west side more often. Great parks for hiking nearby.

We loved hanging out inside 13 Below Brewery with our dog. They do offer food from their BBQ food truck. The brewery is large with ample seating for large to small groups. They offer a range of beers from light to dark and offer "beer"tails and seltzers. We enjoyed a flight of beers each. The staff was so friendly. We met Dick, the VP of brewing, who talked about the company history and his love of beer. Our dog was greeting with lots of love. Please check them out!!

13 Below has been open for a few years now and I'm not sure why it has taken me so long to leave a review because I absolutely love this brewery. 13 Below used to be a wedding reception hall and they pay homage to that with a placard on the wall showing the previous digs. They actually even still host weddings at the brewery, which is pretty cool. There are also other items around there brewery, like the beer can wall that show much of Cincinnati's brewing history. They often have music acts, trivia, singo, and more at the brewery as well, which makes for a nice and entertaining evening. You can also choose to sit inside the brewery or outside in either front or back of the brewery. To make it better, dogs are always welcome! The staff is super friendly and they host a running club at Fernbank Park and throughout Sayler Park. They are avidly involved in the community and you can tell they really have a passion for area... and for beer! Which brings me to my next point. The beer, of course! They have some really unique and delicious brews down here that are wonderfully named after the area in which they a brewed, again paying homage to the rich history of the area. Think Lock & Dam, Wedding Day, and Fernbank. I grew up in Sayler Park on Fernbank Avenue, so I really enjoy their pride in the area and their love for Sayler Park. If you're hungry they also have Incline Smoke Shack there every day ready to serve wings, sandwiches, appetizers, and more. The food is fantastic and they often times have deals such as $10 for a pound of wings and a beer. I also have to comment on how responsible and safe they have been during the pandemic. When things first locked down for the pandemic, we would go down to 13 Below to get growlers filled and they were always extremely safe and cleanly, more so than any other place we went to. Since things have opened back up they have continued to serve our wonderful little community with health and safety as one of their very most important priorities. If you haven't visited 13 Below yet, you really should! Grab a beer, grab a seat, and enjoy the evening.

Great beers and now with the addition of the incline BBQ shack you can enjoy barbecue sandwiches and some pretty darn good craft beer. I enjoyed the Red and the Porter along with killer bacon barbecue sauce on the Pulled Pork. Friendly staff both inside and out, plenty of room to spread out in these Covid days!

I really enjoyed our visit to 13 Below over the holiday season. We were hitting a few Breweries on a Saturday afternoon. Starting from the Eastside, we headed to 13 Below (named that because it's 13 miles 'below' Cincinnati on the river - did not know that!) first. We arrived not long after they opened, so the place was largely empty. We grabbed a couple stools at the bar and the staff helped us choose a "flight-plus" - flights are 4, we wanted to try 6, they had no problem with that. The beers were all good - none disappointed. The staff was super friendly and happy to talk about beer, as most craft brewery employees are. I stopped over by the food window to check out the menu for the permanent BBQ food truck that serves there. I was hoping to check out their chicken wings. Unfortunately this was currently a football-Sunday only option, though she did say they were thinking about adding it full time and also that if I needed a catering order, they were happy to do that any time. Good to know, if only I lived a little closer! All around, this is a great place. As someone else noted, the beers here are about a buck cheaper than most of the craft breweries in town. I like to see when a local business knows their customer base and serves up what they want. Well done, 13 Below!

I believe this is the farthest West craft brewery in Cincinnati. In fact, the name 13 Below refers to its distance from downtown Cincinnati. In river travel, one describes distances from places as being "above" or "below", whether they are upstream or downstream respectively. So this brewery and tap room are 13 miles downstream from downtown, or 13 Below. As of this opening weekend, there is no sign on River Road/Rt. 50. If you know where the Cabana on the River is, that is the same turn you take. Cabana has a huge sign. Cross the tracks and turn right. Inside is roomy with a large bar, high-top tables, booths, garage doors opening to a patio and lawn with gazebo. The beers were good too. There were IPAs, a Porter, amber, scotch ale, a fall seasonal/Oktoberfest, and a white wit. All that I sampled were good. Nothing really pushed the limits or were super experimental, but that's to be expected from a brand new place. Growlers to go. Lots of merch and glassware with their cool 13 logo. While this brewery/tap room is good, I can't see myself(personally) going often as I'm very far from there, but I'll give it my stamp of approval from afar. Congratulations on your opening weekend!

13 Bellow is one of those places that you have to know about to go. Other than a small sign, the business itself is not visible from the street. During our visit, there seemed to be a steady stream of customers. Plenty of seating is available. The employees seem to enjoy working there. While I was ordering, an employee came from the back bragging to another employee about how well he cleaned the glasses; that he is the best at washing glasses in the city. I don't think I have ever heard someone be that happy about washing dishes. It was actually quite endearing. The bartender who helped us was all smiles, and full of information. The beer was decent. What really floated my boat was the beer cocktails. Lemon drop was my favorite. It was bright, lemony, and refreshing; perfect for a hot summer day. More than a patio, 13 Bellow has a whole backyard. The patio portion is coved. Otherwise there is grass. Both inside and out are dog friendly.

This place is a hidden gem. Great laid back fun atmosphere. Excellent beers and friendly waitstaff. Lots of live music and with a permanent BBQ food truck. Fun game nights with trivia and Singo. Check it out. You won't be disappointed.

Come for the beer and stay for the good truck. The patio was open and airy. We could social distance with no issues. The perfect pilsner was as good as or better than anything commercially available.

Stopped in recently for dinner after a Bengals game and had a great time. If you're leaving the…read morestadium area it's a 20 minute walk with some uphill, but well worth the trek to get ahead of the crowds. The bars near the stadium were mobbed. The seating is family style with long tables. You can order via QR codes (meh) or walk up to the side of the bar for food and drink. The manager came around and introduced himself to everyone and was all over the place. Helping in the kitchen, bar, cleaning up etc.. He's definitely an asset because he didn't disappear as the rush started coming in. The inside is nicely decorated and I was digging their Voodoo/skull theme. We settled in and watched the 4pm NFL game on one of the large TV's while chatting with some disappointed Bengals fans and locals. Beer wise they had a nice selection of classic Voodoo brews (we used to get them a lot in the Philly area several years ago), a balance of styles and some newer brews I'd never heard of. If you enjoy the dark side of beer the Where Our Secrets Go Imperial Stout was delicious and thankfully more along the lines of the traditional style Impy Stout. I had an IPA that I can't remember the name of, but it had a nice Belgian yeast/hop twist to it. My son enjoyed their root beer. Food wise the Jumbo Chicken Wings, roasted in house hit the spot, I highly recommend them. I added their Good Vibes BBQ "Sawce", but you can get them dry rubbed or chose from several other "Sawces". The wings were big with fresh meat and the sauce was great. The Pub pretzel we ordered was huge and the good vibes beer cheese complimented it well. The Mr. Pickles Fried Pickles were also a great choice for an app. They were a big portion. My friend had the Chili Mac and my son ordered the Lil Mashburgers - 2 little smashburgers oozing with cheddar & chippies off the kids menu. We ate, had a couple of beers and enjoyed our dinner at Voodoo before we explored more of downtown Cincy. I'll be honest I wanted to avoid BrewDog and Voodoo and experience home grown Cincinnati breweries, but we were really happy we stopped at Voodoo. Thanks guys you earned a fourth star for great friendly service from the manager and bartenders!!

We ordered extra hot wings, and the sauce was great but to make it "extra hot" they just added a metric ton of hot pepper or some hot seasoning, and it was nearly inedible. They were extremely over sauced. The fries were okay. My dry rub wings were good. It's basically self serve, you order on the website via QR code. They brought our food all at once due to that, to include the appetizer. Service was quick but we only saw our "waiter" once to deliver our food. If we had needed refills, we wouldn't have gotten them. We didn't even get silverware and only got one appetizer plate. The ambiance was nice, it's a great looking facility. I probably won't be back though, unfortunately. Just not great enough to bother going again. We did have one beer off the draft list that was good. The dragons milk.

The layout was pretty typical for them albeit on a smaller scale than their locations in Las Vegas and Columbus. Several bar areas, a gaming mezzanine, couches, art on the walls and a roof deck (wasn't open when we visited). The large L shaped bar was clean and manned by a nice fellow. We headed up to the mezzanine and played some games while watching the 4pm game on their big screens. Food wise - we didn't eat here, but I can tell you from past BrewDog experiences their wings are always on point. Beer wise - They had a good mix on their 24 or so taps - IPA/Pale Ales (8 on tap), ciders (4), stouts & dark beers (3), lagers & pilsner (2), sour & fruit-based (2) and five beers for a community beer festival that was running that weekend. $1 of every pint poured went to charity. I had a Winter Staycation at 7.5% - our seasonal stout that brings rich pecan and sweet toffee flavors right to your glass. Every sip is a warming blend of nostalgia and bold flavors, crafted to remind you of the comforts of the season. If you loved last year's cozy winter release, this one's sure to feel right at home. It was average with sweet pecan flavors, caramel, vanilla, toffee and tasted malts. Drank like a porter. It was OK which is what most of their beers are. Just above average in my humble opinion. From my experiences between BrewDog and Voodoo, it seems the outsiders are better options than the local breweries (except Northern Row they were good) in Cincinnati. Can't go wrong with visiting this BrewDog. Thanks guys!

We sat outside to hear the trivia better and enjoy the pleasant evening. You order your drinks at the bar and your food through a QR code on the table you're sitting at. This process was nice, as we didn't have to track anyone down or stare at a menu while trying to order with a line behind us. We got our beers from a friendly bartender, sat, and took our time scrolling through the menu. Our food came together, which was strange as we expected the wing appetizer to come first. The pizza was awesome! The cheese blend reminds me a lot of costcos. The wings were just okay. Maybe I am not a buffalo person, but overall they did not have much flavor. Next time we'll try something else. Prices can add up, but it is nothing crazy compared to places around town. If you want a nice evening with good drinks, good atmosphere, and good food, I'd recommend here.

We had hoped for food, but the business that does food in the building is another company and they were out for spring break. So sad. ;-) The brewery has a nice vibe to it. There are plugs here if you work remote, although I would NEVER do that. :P The beers are not the best I had in Cincy, but they are above the average in Cincy, so it is definitely above average. It is also a well-known, stable brewery. I understand Listermann recently sold the spot, so it will be interesting to see if there are changes going forward. The board is a bit heavy at this point, with quite a few brews over 10%. My feelings on the beers? The IPAs are decent, but they shine brightly with their stouts and pastry sours. The blackberry cobbler sour (12%) and Forbidden Imperial Stout got my top marks. Would love to return and see how the food is here, but spring break worked against me.
