Not many of my favorite types of beer here. Came here to sample a pint of whatever they had IPA wise, but discovered I had already had them in a can. So I went for the Coconut Blonde - Latte which was light and subtle of coconut late notes, as one would expect. We arrived when the doors opened at 4pm and were rewarded with 5$ pint happy hour which was most welcoming! Inside it's roomy with ample bar and tables seating. I thought you might be able to see the Ohio River from inside but there were no windows to that venue, would have been nice to see the River barges go by. read more

Gravensteen beer was a great hit. Wife enjoyed her wheat beer. The aroma of the beer had just a little of that "brew day" smell - fresh and irresistible. Bock is also good and surprisingly refreshing despite the heavier body of the style.I was here a few years ago - 13 below has definitely have improved their brew craft and has made a compelling flavor argument for me to find an excuse to come to the west side more often. First time coming to this brewery. I had no idea when I was walking up to the door what the inside was like. We were warmly greeted by the lady behind the bar. Since this was our first time, she guided us to some beers to try. We chose the smaller size first just to get a taste of the beers. I don't know what my wife had but mine was something something red. It had grenadine, we liked it so much, I went back for the 6 ounce. The rest of my family enjoyed their beers. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak and chips from the food truck, parked in the front. My wife had the smoked wings and shoestring fries. My cheesesteak could have had a smidge more flavor, more kick. We loved hanging out inside 13 Below Brewery with our dog. They do offer food from their BBQ food truck. The brewery is large with ample seating for large to small groups. They offer a range of beers from light to dark and offer "beer"tails and seltzers. We enjoyed a flight of beers each. The staff was so friendly. 13 Below has been open for a few years now and I'm not sure why it has taken me so long to leave a review because I absolutely love this brewery. 13 Below used to be a wedding reception hall and they pay homage to that with a placard on the wall showing the previous digs. They actually even still host weddings at the brewery, which is pretty cool. There are also other items around there brewery, like the beer can wall that show much of Cincinnati's brewing history. They often have music acts, trivia, singo, and more at the brewery as well, which makes for a nice and entertaining evening. You can also choose to sit inside the brewery or outside in either front or back of the brewery. To make it better, dogs are always welcome! The staff is super friendly and they host a running club at Fernbank Park and throughout Sayler Park. They are avidly involved in the community and you can tell they really have a passion for area... and for beer! Which brings me to my next point. The beer, of course! They have some really unique and delicious brews down here that are wonderfully named after the area in which they a brewed, again paying homage to the rich history of the area. Think Lock & Dam, Wedding Day, and Fernbank. I grew up in Sayler Park on Fernbank Avenue, so I really enjoy their pride in the area and their love for Sayler Park. If you're hungry they also have Incline Smoke Shack there every day ready to serve wings, sandwiches, appetizers, and more. The food is fantastic and they often times have deals such as $10 for a pound of wings and a beer. I also have to comment on how responsible and safe they have been during the pandemic. When things first locked down for the pandemic, we would go down to 13 Below to get growlers filled and they were always extremely safe and cleanly, more so than any other place we went to. Since things have opened back up they have continued to serve our wonderful little community with health and safety as one of their very most important priorities. The BBQ truck here is awesome and the brewery has a nice open area to meet people with lot of areas to hang out inside and outside. I typically drink IPA's and theirs seem different to me, I can't put my finger on it but not a favorite. I really enjoyed our visit to 13 Below over the holiday season. We were hitting a few Breweries on a Saturday afternoon. Starting from the Eastside, we headed to 13 Below (named that because it's 13 miles 'below' Cincinnati on the river - did not know that!) first. We arrived not long after they opened, so the place was largely empty. We grabbed a couple stools at the bar and the staff helped us choose a "flight-plus" - flights are 4, we wanted to try 6, they had no problem with that. The beers were all good - none disappointed. The staff was super friendly and happy to talk about beer, as most craft brewery employees are. I stopped over by the food window to check out the menu for the permanent BBQ food truck that serves there. I was hoping to check out their chicken wings. Unfortunately this was currently a football-Sunday only option, though she did say they were thinking about adding it full time and also that if I needed a catering order, they were happy to do that any time. Good to know, if only I lived a little closer! All around, this is a great place. As someone else noted, the beers here are about a buck cheaper than most of the craft breweries in town. I believe this is the farthest West craft brewery in Cincinnati. In fact, the name 13 Below refers to its distance from downtown Cincinnati. In river travel, one describes distances from places as being "above" or "below", whether they are upstream or downstream respectively. So this brewery and tap room are 13 miles downstream from downtown, or 13 Below. As of this opening weekend, there is no sign on River Road/Rt. 50. If you know where the Cabana on the River is, that is the same turn you take. Cabana has a huge sign. Cross the tracks and turn right. Inside is roomy with a large bar, high-top tables, booths, garage doors opening to a patio and lawn with gazebo. The beers were good too. There were IPAs, a Porter, amber, scotch ale, a fall seasonal/Oktoberfest, and a white wit. All that I sampled were good. Nothing really pushed the limits or were super experimental, but that's to be expected from a brand new place. Growlers to go. Lots of merch and glassware with their cool 13 logo. While this brewery/tap room is good, I can't see myself(personally) going often as I'm very far from there, but I'll give it my stamp of approval from afar. 13 Bellow is one of those places that you have to know about to go. Other than a small sign, the business itself is not visible from the street. During our visit, there seemed to be a steady stream of customers. Plenty of seating is available. The employees seem to enjoy working there. While I was ordering, an employee came from the back bragging to another employee about how well he cleaned the glasses; that he is the best at washing glasses in the city. I don't think I have ever heard someone be that happy about washing dishes. It was actually quite endearing. The bartender who helped us was all smiles, and full of information. The beer was decent. What really floated my boat was the beer cocktails. Lemon drop was my favorite. It was bright, lemony, and refreshing; perfect for a hot summer day. More than a patio, 13 Bellow has a whole backyard. The patio portion is coved. Otherwise there is grass. Both inside and out are dog friendly. read more

As someone who loves visiting new breweries all around town, I was delighted to find one much closer to me. Tells you how long it's been since I went walking at the park that I didn't know this was there until I searched it, but there you go. The space looks a lot like what you probably are used to with the new breweries popping up in the city, if a bit dialed down, which is fine. The clientele though seems more like a local neighborhood crowd from the west side of the city than the hip young things you find in all the downtown breweries. I was there with my partner and I admit to feeling a bit more constrained with him than I usually am when we're out in public- though we were treated totally openly and kindly. I'm just saying the atmosphere is a bit different. The beer selection was broad and mostly of the German/Belgian variety, which I prefer. They were all solid choices as they drifted down the color spectrum, as it were- with a little variation one to the next but not any real standouts. (The Wedding Tripel or whatever it's called was out, and that seems to be the one that might be the remarkable one, so I wasn't able to try it- next time!) Good solid beer in a good solid atmosphere, and a regular list of food trucks for outside. I'll certainly be back for casual hanging out with my dogs- which are welcome inside on a leash. read more

Excited to write this review as they now have a permanent food truck, incline smoke stack which is delicious! They have amazing pretzels and cheese! The beer is good too! Good prices compared to other overrated breweries! If you like domestic beer, they have the "closest thing" which is good for none craft drinkers! Wish you could enjoy the river and outdoors more with it being so close to the river! And besides a restaurant next door that is only open in the warm weather, theres not much to do besides a park next door. The inside is nice with some TVs and they are doing great adding fun events there during the week like trivia! Overall, definitely a place to check out! read more

Went in here with a group of 7 for a late lunch/beer. We came in because we ordered barbecue at the Incline Smoke Shack. The bartender was very un-friendly. He asked to wait on my dad when we got there at the same time. Snapped at my nephew and I when we asked for water and was completely disinterested in telling us anything about the beer. It was obvious he could only be bothered by the few regulars in there. And as others have said, the beer isn't cold. read more

I was here for a trivia night on Thursday and liked it a lot. They have options for everyone on the beer menu and they have "beertails" - cocktails made with beer - that all looked awesome. The space is really nice. It's open with lots of tables and seating, but you can see through a fence back into the actual brewery part, which is a cool aesthetic. They also have a patio area outside and games inside you can bring to your table. Although they don't serve food inside, they do have snacks, like chips you can buy, but they also always have a food truck out front. So I ordered food and they actually brought it to me inside, which was great. I had a really good experience here, and would definitely go again! read more

I love their beer and have come here 4 times now. Last night was my first time coming on a Wednesday. I will not be back on a Wednesday... the feud trivia guy was very obnoxious. He kept yelling into his mic for people to quiet down when he was talking. At one point he screamed into the mic "SHUT UP"! Very unprofessional. I guess he didn't realize everyone wasn't playing the game and people were enjoying each other's company and well...talking! I almost left after that scream but I still had beer left in my glass. I hope the owners heard him and "Counseled" him on his behavior. I did notice he had 3 empty wedding day glasses, so maybe he was a little intoxicated from the 9.7% beer. But, his verbal abuse makes me not ever want to come back on a Wednesday. I still love their beer. Oh, one more thing. When we got there shortly after they opened at 5p, we sat outside until they had a very loud John Deere mower, mowing the grass right next to the patio. Very poor timing. We moved back inside so we could hear each other talk. Maybe pick a day you are closed or before you open to pick the time to mow your grass. Just my 2 cents. I still love their beer. read more

This is really close to where we live. we've been here 3 times and the beer is never cold enough. The inside is nice and spacious. The outside is small but with no fans. The food trucks they have are great! The beer selection is usually good but.......it's never cold enough! If you're going to specialize in beer it should be really cold in my opinion. We came when they first opened and when the beer wasn't really cold we figured they were still working out kinks and maybe adjusting the cooler temperatures. But we just went last week and the beer wasn't any colder. There's another craft beer type place right down the street where the beer is cold so we will go there for our craft beer fix. read more

We went on a Saturday at lunchtime with our two kids. Lots of space and seating, games and popcorn for the kids, and an outdoor space that looks like it would be great during nice weather! The beer selection was decent, a number of lagers, IPAs, and a few random assortments. They have an associated food truck, so we ordered pulled pork, ribs, Mac and cheese, and spoon bread. All was great except the ribs which were incredibly smoky and did not come close to falling off the bone (our preference). Regardless, will definitely be returning! read more
