Wife and I went in to check them out and ordered a couple of flights. We enjoyed all of them - quite impressive for a brewery that's really not been around a long time. They carry some stellar ratings on Untapped and are the top brewery in Kentucky per Finding Beer. The IPAs were superb - especially James and The Giant Peacharine. The stouts were also ridiculously good. There are plenty of beers barrels aging in the back which tells me they understand what customers want. Hopefully we can get back to this place again sometime soon. read more

This place has the most unusual beer selection that I have ever seen and far more types of beer on tap than most bars. The atmosphere inside is really cool and hard to explain. The outdoor seating area is great. I love their "dessert" beers. The Goblin Goblin food truck has been in the parking lot each time that I have been there and their burgers are crazy delicious too. read more

Wow! This was a really cute place with plenty of fun options for drinks. My favorite by far was the blackberry (itsy bitsy) cider. I can't believe I've never posted a review of this place before! They brew some of my all-time favorites - I'm particularly a fan of their barrel aged stouts, sours, and meads, but they always have a nice variety of all types. And I love the ambiance-- fluffy clouds on the ceiling with embedded lights to simulate lights, trees and village facades on the walls - it's like sitting in a fairytale land of make believe. When the weather is nice, I love to sit on their patio -- covered, for shade, and with a variety of seating from picnic tables to couches rocking chairs. Everyone there - staff and customers- is always friendly and welcoming. I only wish it wasn't such a long drive (over the river, if not through the woods) from home. read more

It's official - I have found my favorite brewery in Ohio. Yep. Fabled is THAT awesome. They had 30 taps when we visited - everything from an IPA to a sour to a stout to many meads - and they were all phenomenal. We had enough folks in our party to get flights and try all that was offered (early Nov 2024) and none of them sucked. The service was respectfully playful and we enjoyed our conversations with our beertender all day. Stand outs: the barrel aged beer with ice cream powder (table swirl it!), the Grimace, and the PB&J variants. ALL were awesome, though! Merch also is sweet and I got a lightweight zippered hoodie to go. The Gobblin' Goblin was the food truck on site when we visited on a Friday - and it was great (and another review to do). Want to take beers with ya? They can do Crowlers of most of the beers on tap and several of the meads were pre-bottled and in the cooler for purchase. We will definitely be back any time we are close to Fabled Brew Works! read more

Went out last night for a friend's birthday and I'm so glad I finally made it down here. I wasn't driving, so I can't say if it might have been tricky to find as it's back in a strip mall, but that's the only thing I can imagine being a slight issue. The space is clean and whimsical (I loved the clouds overhead), and the outdoor seating area was fantastic and comfortable. There were a lot of beers which were all thoughtfully named, and their signs carefully designed. (And ciders and meads, but I don't really drink those.) Service was friendly and fast, and oh my goodness were the beers fantastic! I was really impressed by everything I tried, and everything my friends tried, even types of drinks I wouldn't order for myself. And the prices were on the low end for a craft brewery as well. I'm definitely going to push to come back sooner than later, and hopefully often. read more

If you judge breweries strictly based on the beer, this is one of the best in the entire area if not the best. Three dozen beers on tap. In my opinion, they make the best sours and fruited beers in the entire tri-state. Possibly in all of Ohio and Kentucky. They also provide other styles such as IPA and Stout's. The venue itself is located in a strip mall. But the facility has lots of room and a very large bar. They have a storybook theme with trees and books decor. Very Harry Potter-ish. The beer tenders are very knowledgeable and friendly. They usually have a food truck available if you are interested in that as well as a full patio. Highly recommend if you are anywhere near Cincinnati. We will definitely be back. read more

Stopped in to Fabled on our way to see the horses in the stables at Turfway before our races. Beautiful building with a nice fairy tale type of vibe. John Ewers, who formerly brewed at Streetside, and Brad Ryles, the mead master, do a wonderful job. When you walk in, you get a forest type of feeling, with trees built into the walls. The beers show the geeky nature of the owners, with beers named after sci-fi and fantasy works. The place is rather small, but does have some outside space, as well. The number of beverages on the wall is astounding and it would take many visits to get through the entire board. Out of everything I tried, the Lembas Lemon Shake was the only one I rated below 4 on Untappd, which is a telling story about how well these two guys brew. Service was great and the beertender was very knowledgable about the beer and mead, able to select the best brews and meads for our pickier members. I did not try the food, but did say hi to Brad, who was out in the food truck slinging Mexican food. It smelled great and I would have nabbed some if I had not already eaten at Wandering Monsters just before swinging over to Fabled. read more

Had a really great time at Fabled! I don't know much about mead, but they had a lot of different flavors and styles, along with an extensive beer list. The bar staff was very friendly and helped us navigate the menu. We did not try the food truck outside, but apparently they have food trucks frequently so there is always a good option. They also had several events advertised like trivia, which I love at a bar. Really enjoyed the theme of the bar and the ambiance. Very cool lighting. The location is kinda in the middle of nowhere, but worth the try. read more

I like the kind of Hobbit meets Harry Potter vibe of the place. They have some really unique beers. Most were pretty good. Maybe not the best spot if you're looking for your more run of the mill varieties, but the sours, barley wines, meads were all great. Food truck is just ok. read more

Cool small brewery in the Northern Kentucky area. The ambiance is really unique, you could say it's a mix between Dungeon and Dragons meets Harry Potter. Apart from the multiple beer options they have different mead flavors. The bartenders are pretty cool and friendly. Although they don't have a kitchen to provide food to table they tend to have a food truck at least on the weekends, I've been there a couple of times now and both times there was a different food truck, but I don't know if that's all the time. Although I love food trucks, it would be great if they would have some sort of fix food menu to provide the customers besides chips, specially after a few meads. read more

Great place! (3 months old). A HUGE variety of beers and especially meads. Also a more than average variety of stouts. (not too many places have more than one) And oh by the way the stouts are EXCELLENT. My wife is an IPA fanatic and she's a big fan of Fabled Brew Works IPA's. If you are into meads you cannot pass this place by. I'm not really but the couple I tried were very good. Atmosphere is cool. Don't be dismayed when driving up and seeing it in warehouse space. They've done a fantastic job of decorating and offer a great vibe. Probably my only complaint is that if it's a rainy or chilly day and the inside is packed, it is very loud. So much so that it can be difficult to have a conversation. We'll see how it plays out come winter. Will definitely need space heaters for outside. The service is very good with very nice and informative beer folks. Food trucks are available and you can bring in your own food. 1st time here and absolutely loved it. Tried all 8 meads and each was terrific in its own way. Especially liked the pineapple ice cream session mead and the cranberry vanilla mead. Took some of both home. They also have over 20 beers, but we didn't try any this time. Service was great. They are super friendly and answered all the questions we had. Decor is very cool.
