    Outdoor covered patio, dog friendly!

Braxton Brewery combined with the Taco Fuerte food truck....what a winning combination. Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon. Their food was very good! We had the street corn, birria tacos and street tacos. Everything was tasty and the whole atmosphere was fun! We will definitely be back!

The stouts Braxton offers are some of the best in the city. Highly recommend the Mole. However, don't sleep on this place for food. The tacos that the food truck, Taco Fuerte, prepared were delicious and fair priced! Cool spot if you're not trying to hit downtown Covington.

I finally made my way to the Braxton Barrel House in Fort Mitchell. The atmosphere is the same as the one in Covington except much smaller. That's probably the only drawback. The crowd was happy the staff helpful and the beer was in abundance and yummy. My new favorite is the double vanilla milkshake. It so smooth no aftertaste. Braxton is my favorite brewery in Northern Kentucky and I will be a regular.

The bartender was very informative and attentive. The beer choices were great. So glad we chose the flights. We sat in the outside patio and it was very pleasant. Enjoyed this!

Had a much needed night out with my daughter and husband. We went and had some tacos from the taco truck which were pretty amazing. The elote was my favorite. The beer was really good. We sampled quite a few and settled on one finally. Sat outside by the wood burning fireplace. All I all a good night.

My usual favorite is…read moreTousey House, but they aren't open for dinner on Sundays so I needed to find an alternative. Fort Mitchell Public House Bar and Grill checks all of my boxes. The first thing I look for is a nice patio. Unfortunately the weather wasn't cooperating today, but I will be back for this fabulous patio. I was there before the dinner rush, which explains the emptiness of the restaurant. More people started arriving after 5:00. There were so many yummy sounding choices on the menu that it was hard to decide. I asked my server, Erin, what she recommends and she said the CAJUN BOURBON FILET TIPS were her favorite. I went with that and was not disappointed. The filet was cooked and seasoned perfectly. It is served over mashed potatoes and topped with onion straws. While the beef portion was small, it was a satisfying meal and the flavors were perfection! I added a side Caesar salad. Their house-made croutons were so good and the dressing was tasty and perfectly portioned. I don't often order dessert, but decided to splurge tonight and got a slice of the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake to-go. OMG, this is one of the best cheesecakes I've ever had. It was light and dense at the same time, if that makes sense. So creamy and melt in your mouth delicious. I will dream about it tonight LOL.

We should have just left at that point but our kids were hungry. Dinner was finally served and it was good, but no one seemed very concerned about how long we waited. We asked for our check and then we were given the wrong, much more expensive check. I'm not sure if they were understaffed but the restaurant was only half full when we arrived. I wish we hadn't dropped $90 on this dinner.

This restaurant offers an eclectic mix of various dishes at very reasonable prices. Sandwiches,…read morepizza, pasta, salads, burgers (including bison-containing one), hummus, vegetables and other delicious items are available. For an appetizer, we ordered the Hummus. We could have just shared this platter for our lunch if we had known the amount of food that came with the dish. The portion sizes were large. It had two heaping mounds of hummus, ample warm pita bread triangles, thick cucumber slices, hardy carrot sticks and spicy pepperocinis all over a "bed" of kalamata olives. The presentation was beautiful and the taste was delectable. My sister had the "Rod & Reel" lunch special, which is a choice of soup/salad and 1/2 a sandwich with a side. Her salad was a meal all by itself. She ended up taking home part of the salad and all of the sandwich. I tried the Willow sandwich. It's a delectable mix of avocado , lettuce, tomato , smoked turkey and mayo on ciabatta bread with a side of blue tortilla chips. I too, took my sandwich home because I was full from sharing the hummus appetizer. Everything about this restaurant was appealing to me. The staff and service were friendly and accommodating. Because the restaurant originated in Montana, all of the pictures and decor reminded one of hard-working people on an expansive ranch with animals and surrounded by family and down-to-earth friends. I really enjoyed the lunch experience.

More people came in but the restaurant was pretty empty all evening. Our server, Rachel was very friendly and helpful, going over the menu and made sure our waters were filled and we had what we needed throughout the evening. I asked her opinion between two cocktails and went with her suggestion of the chai espresso martini which was delicious! We started with the sourdough bread that came with treacle and honey butter which I thought would be more remarkable, if pretty much tasted like run of the mill butter. For dinner, my husband and I split the pachadi salad and the short rib vindaloo. The salad was crunchy and fresh and very flavorful, I would definitely get it again. The vindaloo was good but I would probably choose something else next time.

When I went to make the reservation, I found that that if we show up with 3 instead of 4 we would pay a $20 per PERSON fee. I have heard of no-show fees for a whole missed reservation, but a missing person is offensive. Do I get a discount if my service is slow because a server called in sick? What if the entree I came in for is sold out? I bet not. We were able to find a table at a different restaurant that puts an emphasis on the experience, not the profit times seats times turns equation. It's a shame. I liked the food here, but a policy like that puts in on my no-go list.

Nothing screams desperation like treating customers like that. At very least these awful places should post a sign or have an alert on the menu, but not here - they wait until the end to slap you in the face. Had I known they'd treat me like this I could have taken my business elsewhere. I understand more poorly run businesses are doing this and it sucks. I think most of us truly like supporting local businesses but I've yet to find the big chains mistreating their customers like this. Don't go to Grandview. Maybe big chains are better.

I'll go in depth about my own food in a second but my wife highly recommends their white chili and the bite I had of the pot roast hoagie was really good too. Now then... Meatball Hoagie Soft Pretzel With Beer Cheese What Is It: The hoagie comes with meatballs, cheese, and lots of pizza sauce on Italian bread. They also include either plain or bbq potato chips (I got bbq). The pretzel comes with salt and a cup of beer cheese. Presentation: They served my hoagie open faced which improves the look of the dish but probably not your shirt. The pretzel looks like a pretzel. 6.5 out of 10 Taste: I'll start with the appetizer which was the soft pretzel. The pretzel was nice and soft and had lots of salt. The beer cheese had a very strong flavour which beer cheese should have. Perfect for this application. The hoagie as I mentioned was as messy as could be. They probably could have gone a little easier on the sauce but the sauce did have yood flavour. They certainly didn't skimp on the meatballs here either as they just bulge out of the sandwich. I do think the open faced serving of this sandwich helps it too. Just be ready to use the fork they give you with it. Definitely a tasty option.
