Fort Mitchell Public House Bar and Grill checks all of my boxes. The first thing I look for is a nice patio. Unfortunately the weather wasn't cooperating today, but I will be back for this fabulous patio. I was there before the dinner rush, which explains the emptiness of the restaurant. More people started arriving after 5:00. There were so many yummy sounding choices on the menu that it was hard to decide. I asked my server, Erin, what she recommends and she said the CAJUN BOURBON FILET TIPS were her favorite. I went with that and was not disappointed. The filet was cooked and seasoned perfectly. It is served over mashed potatoes and topped with onion straws. While the beef portion was small, it was a satisfying meal and the flavors were perfection! I added a side Caesar salad. Their house-made croutons were so good and the dressing was tasty and perfectly portioned. I don't often order dessert, but decided to splurge tonight and got a slice of the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake to-go. OMG, this is one of the best cheesecakes I've ever had. It was light and dense at the same time, if that makes sense. So creamy and melt in your mouth delicious. I will dream about it tonight LOL.

The atmosphere is exactly what you'd want from a neighborhood taproom: casual, lively, and family-friendly. We ordered burgers, and they were all really good. One bun seemed a little stale, but it didn't take away from the overall meal. The cheese curds were a standout: piping hot, crispy, and definitely worth ordering. The beef nachos, on the other hand, were a bit disappointing. They arrived cold and just didn't have the same wow factor as the rest of the food. My sweet potato fries were a little soggy, but I took the leftovers home and popped them in the air fryer the next day, and they turned out fantastic. Overall, I'd definitely go back. If you're looking for a laid-back spot with great burgers, a huge beer selection, and a menu that has something for just about everyone in the family, dog and kid friendly, 859 Taproom is a solid choice.

Her salad was a meal all by itself. She ended up taking home part of the salad and all of the sandwich. I tried the Willow sandwich. It's a delectable mix of avocado , lettuce, tomato , smoked turkey and mayo on ciabatta bread with a side of blue tortilla chips. Because the restaurant originated in Montana, all of the pictures and decor reminded one of hard-working people on an expansive ranch with animals and surrounded by family and down-to-earth friends. I have heard of no-show fees for a whole missed reservation, but a missing person is offensive. Do I get a discount if my service is slow because a server called in sick?
