Great place for groups of all sizes and the vibe is upbeat and friendly. We each tried a slider combo (2 sliders and fries), an order of donut holes, and a cocktail. Flavor of the sliders was yummy, but I wish the buns weren't so firm and sweet. It was difficult to experience the full flavor of the slider since it was so "bready". We came here for lunch and drinks after a funeral. The staff were fantastic, the sliders were outstanding, the beer was good! we had a couple of young kids in the group, they were able to color on the kids menus and had a good time. I would recommend this for anyone! read more

Braxton Brewery combined with the Taco Fuerte food truck....what a winning combination. Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon. Their food was very good! We had the street corn, birria tacos and street tacos. Everything was tasty and the whole atmosphere was fun! We will definitely be back! read more

We hit a lot of breweries on our trip to Cincinnati, but the Braxton Barrel House had the most amazing beer we tried, all weekend. This is, obviously, the home of big, barrel-aged beers. The Dark Charge White Chocolate Raspberry Imperial Stout was a stand out, as was the Barrel House Mexican Hot Chocolate Imperial Stout. They're even better than they sound. The Dark Charge Barrel House Aged Cinnamon Whiskey also made the list of our favorites. But, don't be afraid to bring your lighter beer loving friends. They have several beers on tap for them as well, like the Garage Beer Lime, a Gose and multiple Berliner Weisse beers. And, they have some seltzers as well. The taproom has several tables, both low top and high top, and a covered/heated patio area. They also have a nice-sized parking lot. And, ultimate plus, they are super close to the airport, for those visiting from out of town. read more

The stouts Braxton offers are some of the best in the city. Highly recommend the Mole. However, don't sleep on this place for food. The tacos that the food truck, Taco Fuerte, prepared were delicious and fair priced! Cool spot if you're not trying to hit downtown Covington. read more

Braxton Barrel House - Breweries Near Me - Fort Mitchell, Kentucky

I finally made my way to the Braxton Barrel House in Fort Mitchell. The atmosphere is the same as the one in Covington except much smaller. That's probably the only drawback. The crowd was happy the staff helpful and the beer was in abundance and yummy. My new favorite is the double vanilla milkshake. It so smooth no aftertaste. Braxton is my favorite brewery in Northern Kentucky and I will be a regular. read more

When it comes to beer selection, Barrel House always has a great combination of light lagers, sours, IPAs, and stouts. wanted to give this 4.5 stars but regardless, I enjoyed my time. The bartender was alone and it was BUSY. She was powering through and doing great. My issue was the communication between the bartender and the taco truck. I originally thought I was ordering 3 tacos but one of the tacos I ordered came in a set of 3, so I changed my order. When I got the notification it was ready, my order was incorrect. It would've been a process to try to get it fixed, so I gave the chips and salsa to my friends at the table. Other than that it was great. Some points it was very loud, but I enjoyed the inside/outside aspect. I can't wait to try it again. read more

Place has just been open a few weeks. There still hooking up equipment to Brew. The did a really nice job setting building up. Patio is really nice & a really cool mural painted on the wall. Not very impressed. Not at all. Lot of issues and I'm sure part of it is growing pains. Stepped up to the bar...waited and one bartender was dealing with a charge issue. The other bartender was at end of the bar talking with someone and petting a dog. Finally he looked up and went down to wait on a guy who just walked up, then to another and finally to me. Disgusting aspect was...when he did wait on us, he did not wash his hands before pouring the beer. Not cool. read more

This place is an amazing place to go and hang out and have a quick drink without having to battle all the traffic to go down to Covington/Newport. The place is very accessible and the people there are very helpful with beer selections. The different selections are comparable to the other Braxton locations and the indoor/outdoor seating options is definitely a bonus. Braxton never fails to deliver excellent beer and excellent service at all their locations - this one is no different. (Heads up, a flight at this place is small pours unlike the other locations which offer actual flights). read more

Stopped here on a cold Saturday night. The place was packed, including a group having a baby shower. We eventually got two seats at the bar after standing for awhile. The staff was friendly and efficient despite being very busy. I guess I expected totally different beers than the Covington location, but they were pretty much the same. I also expected the space to be much bigger, but they are only using part of the old Rempke. If we're in the area, we may stop back in, but I like their other location better. read more

Decent beers, but horrible food truck communication and service. We waited over an hour for food and once we asked about it, the food was handed to us freezing cold. Stopped into barrel house with the kids after a long day of soccer practice and errand running. The bartender, who was a younger; handsome fellow was very helpful when it came to ordering food and deciding on a beverage. The establishment was charming; floors were mopped and the tables were clean. The handsome bartender informed us that barrel house offers trivia on Thursday evening, and has events weekly. We spent the remainder of our day reminiscing on the simpler times in our lives and enjoying the company of others in our community. It's safe to say that with the quality of the establishment; paired with the charm and expertise of the staff; we found a home away from home... a barrel home. read more

We went for the grand opening. It was packed but the bartenders did a nice job even though the line was 3 deep across the bar. They had some food catered in and we went up to the table to order, however we were told to go to the end of the line that didn't exist. There was a person waiting for their food, but no line. We stood there for 5 minutes and no one would look at us or take our order. We finally were able to order some expensive and small appetizers and not once did the staff even look us in the eye. We just figured it was a busy night and everyone was overwhelmed. However, we stopped in again last night right at last call (as we weren't aware that they were closing in 45 mins.) There were a few people there still drinking and having fun, but the bartender seemed annoyed that he had to pour 3 drafts.
