Was in town for the tennis tournament and this place was near my hotel. First impressions were good. A huge space with plenty of seating and very personable staff. Great beer selection with plenty of new stuff to try for this Atlanta boy. Wanted something lighter and the bartender let me sample a rice brewed lager. Very clean, light taste. Perfect. I visited Hoppi' Vines on a Saturday afternoon. No one greeted me, but they did have signage to seat yourself and to order at the bar and to remember your table number. Not too many patrons in the restaurant. Looked at the wide selection of beer that was offered and decided to try one of their IPAs, the Blood Orange Blonde Ale. Two stars because the kids love duckpin bowling. Warning: do not buy the boneless wings. They are microwaved frozen chicken nuggets. You can literally buy better wings from Kroger's frozen aisle. Absolutely disgusting product. This is a restaurant, have some self respect and pride in your product. $16 for microwaved trash is insulting. Pizza is fine. Nothing special but edible. Way overpriced. The shareable is $20 and barely shareable. This place is basically self service. We had a wonderful experience last night at Hoppin' Vines! It was a fun atmosphere with plenty of space for our group of six. The appetizers and pizzas were delicious and the service was great. We really enjoyed duck pin bowling. Michael, the staffer running it, was beyond helpful! From tips on playing to resetting our lane, he was attentive and very personable to us all evening. Came for a relaxing time at the bar to have some good food and beer...silly us. There was a 5 year old birthday party going on in the party area, this happens to be on the opposite side of the restaurant as the duck pin bowling room so toddlers were running and screaming back and forth from the party area to the duck pin area repeatedly. The parents had little to no control over the screaming children...at a bar. The manager was planted on his laptop at the bar and had little concern over how the absolutely chaotic situation was affecting his obviously irritated patrons. In addition, over half the taps are now marked with red stripes indicating they are served in a smaller tulip glass as they are "special" pours (not necessarily based on abv as my husband's 4.5% session IPA was in a tulip) so you're paying higher prices for less beer. Overall, UNDERWHELMING. On a positive note, the bathrooms are super clean and the food was 7/10 for taste and expectation. read more

We went here to celebrate some graduations and had a great time! The drinks were great. They let you try a few on tap before you decide, which I love. Not the best fruity beer selections for people who don't like beer, but they have great options besides beer, including wines and cocktails. We ordered the cheese and the pepperoni pizza as well as the meatballs, cheese sticks, and spinach and artichoke dip. The pizza was good but had this weird burnt taste on the bottom of it. The cheese sticks were delicious. The meatballs were just ok. The spinach and artichoke dip had LOTS of artichokes, so if that's your thing, then you'd love it. The dip comes with a wonderful garlic baguette and pita bread. The duckpin bowling was a lot of fun too. The staff was so kind and helpful. I visited Hoppin' Vines with a group of coworkers on a Tuesday evening. I wasn't feeling up to drinking (and not much of beer drinker in general), but most everyone else ordered a beer or two and seemed to enjoy them. We ordered a few appetizers for the table, the Spinach and Artichoke Dip and a Bacon Stromboli. The dip was really good, and came with two thick breadsticks and some pita bread, but probably needed about twice as much bread for the amount of dip provided. This was the first time I'd had Stromboli, (though I"m no stranger to bread, meat, and cheese), but it was very tasty. Then we ordered three shareable pizzas, a regular pepperoni, the hot honey pepperoni, and the buffalo chicken. I didn't eat any of the regular pepperoni, as the hot honey was of more interest to me. The honey really came through, with a tasty sweetness added to the greasy and meaty pepperoni, but I didn't get any of the "hot;" it was definitely missing the spicy element that I was wanting. The buffalo chicken was probably my favorite, though, with the spicy and creamy balance of the buffalo sauce and both the bleu cheese and ranch. Service was mostly self-serve, with dishes, napkins, silverware, and water all being available to grab yourself. Drinks and food are ordered at the counter, and then food is brought to the table when ready. It was quite an efficient and effective model. Overall, the food was pretty good, and it seems like a nice space for a larger group of people. We didn't end up duck pin bowling, but next time I'm here, I'll definitely try to get a few strikes in! read more

At first glance, I wasn't sure what to expect from this space. My brother wanted to check it out because of their large brew selection . I'm not a beer drinker, but he had just picked me up from the airport, so I told him I'd pay for us to have a bite to eat before going to visit my mom . I was hungry and actually felt like a cocktail. I ordered a cosmopolitan with the upgrade of Tito's vodka. We checked out the menu and they had a few choices of pizzas, but my brother and I decided to create our own. We then found out that you have to go get your own water, get your own drinks from the bar, and they give you a number for your food order. Not my idea of a restaurant. Anyway, The pizza we ordered had goat, cheese, mushrooms, Kalamata, olives, and spinach. It was surprisingly so good! It literally was one of the tastiest pizzas I've ever had! My drink, not so much! When I brought it back to the very young bartender, and told him I think he forgot the vodka. He said he didn't think he did, and when I reminded him that I had asked for the specialty vodka, he seemed confused, and obviously it hadn't been pulled, so (I think he was busy with our pizza maybe ? ) lol I guess that he forgot to put into my drink! I told him to go ahead and taste it himself if he'd like, because I only had one sip and knew there wasn't any vodka in it! Then, I asked him if he could also use Cointreau instead of triple sec, and he seemed extremely confused. He didn't know what that meant! So I asked him what he thought a cosmopolitan was, and what he had put in my first drink that I didn't drink. He told me Cranberry juice, vodka, ( he thought ) and simple syrup. Lol that definitely isn't any cosmopolitan that I've ever had. It was fine though, I just asked him to make the drink with cranberry juice, vodka, Cointreau, and a squeeze of lime, and he did. My brother enjoyed his brew of choice with the pizza. Because our pizza, ended up being super tasty , I would definitely get it for takeout if that is a possibility... (?) I'm not big on bowling or Brews so I doubt I'd ever go back, but if you want good pizza and enjoy a good selection of beer on tap, and happen to find yourself you're in the Kenwood area, maybe give it a try?! read more

Everything is spaced out, they have outdoor seating, full bar, duck pins, book for special events, good selection of beer and wine. I was really impressed with the wine menu. They are categorized. You can either get 6 oz or 9 oz pours. Want your own bottle? You can do that too. They also offer wine flights as well. As for beers, you can't go wrong. There are over 40 crafts beers on tap. My Mr was in heaven. All were priced reasonable. I showed up a little late, but it was still fun. I am not a huge beer person, but they had Makers Mark Bourbon so, how could I complain. When bowling was over, we sat down at a table for a bit to enjoy another drive. They offer pizzas and appetizers which I didn't not try. But for a Wednesday evening they have about 2/3's of the place full. I am sure the weekends here are slammed. Visited here resently with a friend of mine. We had the Buffalo pizza of which was really good. Everything is self seve, I really didn't mind because that's how most breweries do it these days. I tried a few new beers that I have never had before and that was a good experience. Here is where things went wrong. There is a female bartender, I don't know her name. When I asked her name she chuckled, stepped back from the bar counter and proceeded to talk about me and my frind loud enough to where we could obviously hear her. I wanna say her name is Cory, but don't quote me on that. She is a tall gal with long dark hair if that helps. I asked the gal what was wrong, and again she ignored me. She said out loud "people like that don't tip", I'm assuming she was referring to my friend and myself. I have worked personally in the service industry and am in complete shock that someone would treat a customer in that manner. I have always enjoyed visiting your establishment and hopefully will still return. I just hope that on my next visit I get a little better service than what I had received from her. We should treat everyone the way we want to be treated and even though some skin colors may be different, it doesn't mean my friend or myself don't tip. My lady and I were trying to decide if we wanted to go to a brewery or a winery recently, and after a bit of talking, we decided to drop by a place with both. We'd talked about trying Hoppin' Vines before so we decided to finally give it a try. Plus it was Saturday, and the Bengals were in a playoff against the Raiders, so we knew the energy was gonna be high which would make it more fun. The place was definitely busy but not super crowded. Their beer and wine menus are both HUGE with plenty of fantastic selections. They also have a full bar and cocktails. Hungry? Delicio is right there with coal-fired pizza and plenty of other tasty options. Wanna bowl? They've got six lanes on duck pin bowling. Not to mention big screen TV virtually everywhere to watch the game. We started with a couple drinks, a Third Eye Astral hazelnut coffee stout for me and a Penasola Tinta Roble tempranillo for my lady, and we were able to find a table near the duck pin lanes to watch the game. The atmosphere was ecstatic with the game going on and the staff were awesome. And the place itself was very nice inside with lots of seating. At first, my lady and I didn't think we'd stay for more then one drink, but after a second round, a Brink Pillow Case Candy stout for me and a Protocola Tinto tempranillo for her, we decided to stick around, even decided to partake in some pizza. However, they don't allow food in the duck pin area, so we had to find a different place to sit. Luckily, I found two seats at the bar with great views of TVs for the game, so we moved on over. You order your Delicio goodness at the bar, let the bartender know where you're sitting, then Delicio brings out your order when its ready. Their menu had lots of excellent options for more than just pizza, but the pizza is definitely the main attraction, and really good pizza at that. My lady decided on a 9" quattro formagio and I had a 9" black 'n bleu (I LOVE bleu cheese!). Even with as busy as it was during the game, we didn't wait long at all for our order, and ordered another round, a 16 Lots Kenny's Dey Drinking Lager for me and an Areyna malbec for her, to pair with our pies. Both pizzas were phenomenal! I'm not sure which one we enjoyed more but we definitely enjoyed them. After we were done, the game wasn't quite over just yet, so we decided on one more round, a Streetside Tropical Fruit Punch IPA for me and a Protocola tempranillo for her, before closing out our tab. Overall, the prices were very nice, and we didn't feel like we paid too much for all we got. We both really liked everything about Hoppin' Vines, and though we didn't get to play the duck pin bowling, we'll definitely go back to try it out sometime. And to cap off a great experience here, the Bengals beat the Raiders, marking their first NFL playoff victory in 30 long years (WHO DEY!!!). Not the place to go. I have been here numerous times and every time the food is not good. The pizza is coal fired but somehow still soggy and undercooked. The cocktail menu online that I tried to order from is not their menu anymore apparently, the QR code they told me isn't updated, so the cocktail I ordered they said they couldn't make. While I was there I ordered two cocktails which were both made incorrectly (what they use in the cocktail is on the menu, you'd think they'd know to just look at that if they didn't know the recipe). So not worth the stop here, I've only come here because I live about 2 minutes away and friends have asked to meet here because the beer selection and convenience. read more

I was very surprised with how steady they were on a Wednesday after work, apparently I've been missing out. Reminds you of some of the breweries that have popped up in Cincy. This place has something for everyone, lots of wine and lots of beer. The coal fire pizza was actually pretty solid. I'm a pizza lover and I would definitely order the black & bleu pizza again. Finally made it to Hoppin Vines! Not only did I go there once, I went there twice in one week! The first visit was just for drinks with a friend. We sat at the bar and each ordered a flight. There are nearly 40 different beers on tap, so something to please everyone. In addition, they also have significant wine list. Flights are also available there. The bar staff was fantastic and provided tons of suggestions. He was very knowledgeable! My second visit I came back to try out the duck pin bowling and food. Again enjoyed a favorite brew from a few days prior, then tested my bowling skills. It was a lot of fun, especially for those who are not good at regular bowling. We enjoyed the food too. They were only serving a pizza buffet (no option to get pizza off the menu). The positive is that I got to try several types of pizza, wings, salad, and breadsticks. The downside is that I thought all were just average or below average. (I would not get breadsticks - nothing to em but bread, I would order wings, the pizza was too sparse in toppings, salad was basic) It was super loud inside and hard to talk. Hoppin' Vines is a great spot with a ton of space, chill ambiance, and huge beer selection. Whether you're here for a date night, with friends or the fam, you have many options to enjoy HP! Duckpin bowling is available for play through COVID with restrictions on bringing food in the area. Pizza, salads and other food options are also available at Delicio Pizza within the tap room. The pizza is thin crust and has good toppings, however there is room for improvement on cooking process and elevating the cheese. The taste was a little lackluster for my tastes. The Caesar salad was delicious and I would order that again! The tap room has 40 beers on draft and a huge wine room perfect for all drinkers along with cocktail options. What I loved was the water fill station. You can fill your own carafe or glass without having to visit the bar. The beer selection was mainly local brews from Ohio and NKY. I would like to see a few more beers from a little out of the local, but I appreciate showcasing the local brews for those who may not go to the breweries to try them first hand. The food is good, if you're watching carbs the hangar steak skewers come on a bed of lettuce and parmesan that is enough to qualify it as a salad, and is very tasty. The meatballs and baked mushrooms are also good, and my companions said that the pizza was also good. The duckpin bowling is a lot of fun, but there were several computer/reset issues that came up. Rating = 0 I had the worst experience at the location on Montgomery Road in Cincinnati, OH. The food was undercooked, cold and lacked taste. The waitress was rude, made several mistakes and took no ownership. The General Manager was the same and lacked listening skills. He listened to respond and not to understand. Neither apologized for their poor service. In fact they depicted patrons as if their were the problem. A call was placed to the actual owner and the same type of behavior was received from him. Super fun place with lots of great food! I have done the duck pin bowling here before and while it's super fun, there is usually quite a wait for it. As for the food, I got the pepperoni and hot honey pizza and the cheesy garlic bread. The pepperoni and hot honey pizza is absolutely delicious - one of the best that I've had in the area. The cheesy garlic bread was also super good and the portion size was really generous. It was a little heavy on the cheese and it was good but just a fair warning for those who might not like it. The restaurant is almost like a cafe-style where you go up to the bar and order all of your food and drinks. It isn't the most intuitive set up and even though I've been there twice, I feel like I always need to have one of my friends show me where to get everything. It definitely gets a little toasty here even on the inside during the summer so I'd wear something light to go here. Overall it's definitely worth checking out! read more

Tables were about 1/3 full when we were and the line for a beer was over 15 minutes with families ordering food and drinks.
