The crust was perfection - soft yet crispy around the edges. The toppings on the spicy Italian were perfection. For the cherry on top, they had a GF/DF dessert option (chocolate sorbet). My new fave spot for New York style pizza. Grab a bite with friends recently and walking in the place was really welcoming. The staff sat us immediately and grabbed our drink orders. We stayed with water but our server returned quickly to take our orders and was very attentive the entire time. My fiancé and I split a medium New York style hot honey and pepperoni pizza. It was perfection, thin and foldable the way I like. It was cut into 8 pieces so the perfect amount to get full and not feel completely stuffed. Now as a sweets lover the gelato really stole the show here. We tried the cookies and cream but the sweet cream base I could devour in gallons! It was perfectly sweet and rich in flavor. The adults shared a Detroit style half and half of Buffalo Chicken and Pepperoni and a NY Style Greek/Old Schooler half and half. I really enjoyed them all, with a preference for Detroit Style pizza. Buffalo is very spicy! Pepperoni is perfect. Preferred the Greek over Old Schooler, but both were delicious. Also shared a Pizza Lager with my wife - light and refreshing! We eat in Cincy often but had never heard of Taglio until we went there on a brunch tour with Riverside Food Tours. Our server was friendly and got our food and drinks out to us quickly. We had Bianco Detroit style pizza which was very good. The restaurant itself was nice and bright with a lot of tvs set to sporting events if you want to watch your favorite team, but wasn't busy at all at noon on a Saturday, hopefully they are more full later in the day. We stayed at a local B&B and didn't want to go out so we ordered take out. We ordered on line and everything came exactly as we ordered. It also came faster than the app said which was nice. The salad was the freshest salad I've ever had in take out. The pies were all fantastic! We had one of our party that can hardly eat anything and she ordered gluten free and vegan and LOVED it. I always like to give places another shot, even if my first visit was just okay. Tonight, I stopped by Taglio in OTR and ordered cheese sticks and a personal pepperoni thin crust. Unfortunately, the cheese sticks didn't live up to what I remember--they used to be great, but tonight they just didn't hit the spot. I've had excellent ones in the past, and I was under the impression they were made in-house. The pizza was alright, but nothing standout. I have to say, as much as I enjoy living in Cincinnati, the pizza scene here doesn't compare to my native hometown of Dayton. Places like Cassano's, Flying Pizza, Joe's Pizzeria, and Marion's Piazza (just to name a few) set the bar high. Dayton simply does pizza best. Absolutely delicious hot honey pepperoni pizza! We went with the New York style and it was tremendous, but the table over went with Detroit style and it also looked amazing. Next time we're in town we may have to try the Detroit style, but the New York was so good that it would be extremely difficult to not get again. The crunch of the corner pieces is to DIE for!!! and the flavors all combined make for a good pizza. We got a medium for 20 people and there was 2 slices left! we were more than full. On top of that I got a cherry balsamic salad (i wanted to get something other than caesar!) it was amazing, the textures that were in it and the Gorgonzola was a perfect punch of cheese as well. We stopped in on a Friday night not too busy looked like a lot of people were coming in for pick up, but we were sat at a high top table for 3 people and were served pretty quickly. TLDR; get it for takeout, not dine in. Visited Taglio for Cincy Pizza Week and dined in for the first time. I've gotten takeout multiple times and am a huge fan of their Detroit style pizza - the pepperoni hot honey is my favorite! The pizza they offered for pizza week was a Brooklyn style pizza, which was also really good, but the dine in experience just wasn't the best. We had two servers who checked in with us periodically, but the time between ordering and receiving our food took a while, even though the restaurant wasn't packed. Our server even told us that our food would be out soon, but it was another 5-10 minutes after she told us that our food came out. The pizza was pretty cold when we received it, which is a shame cause the pizza itself tasted good. All of us also ordered Cokes and they were either extremely flat or fizzy but without enough syrup. If it were solely based on my one experience I'd probably give it three stars, but I know how good the pizza is so bumped up to a four. All to say, the pizza here is great; the in dining experience, not so much. read more
