This place has GOOD pizza! I usually prefer a thick, crispy crust but I like their sauce and toppings so much that I feel like the crust is a nice balance. I enjoy speaking with with the owner as my pizza bakes or seeing the same delivery people who have been there for years. My go-to is the Italian Hoagy sans pepperoni and cheese fries. I also like the garlic butter chicken wings and fried pickles. The family size garden salad will fill 4 bowls easily. If you want something a bit different than how it is on the menu, they are happy to make it for you. But the website doesn't do a great job with this, so you will want to call them. The first thing we noticed as we drive up... Manager not wearing mask. Walking around the entire kitchen like she didn't care. Young Man making pizza dough balls had mask around his chin. I didn't take his picture as I am sure he was a minor. Young man at register also had mask around his chin, also a minor I suspect. We picked up the food as it was already paid for. Got home and heated it all again to proper temperature to kill germs. Proper temperature couldn't save it from how greasy and terrible it was. I love the food but I don't appreciate how the tip was changed. I left $6 on a $24 order (which is a good tip) yet my credit card company alerted me to the fact that the tip was 10. Just passing through and found this place on Yelp and gave it a try. If I lived in the area this would have just become my go to spot. This was a light pizza with a great taste. Hey for all you pizza lovers out there! For those of you that are all about great customer service and delicious pizza this might not be the place for you and here's why.... This use to be one of my favorite spots to go to for pizza but, not any more. Im very disappointed with the service I received with my last order and because of it is why I will NEVER go back to this establishment. On 6/26 I ordered a large pizza and wings for delivery. I was quoted 45 mins and it took over an hour and 30 mins for the food to be delivered. When the food arrived the pizza and wings were COLD... not warm, or a little warm ... it was COLD!! I called to share my dissatisfaction with how the food arrived and spoke to Sarah (I guess she was the manager in duty that night). Sarah apologized (somewhat unapologetic) and said they had been busy and that was the reason why the food arrived late and cold. (But, that's not my fault). After asking how she was going to make it right, She offered to redeliver the pizza but, at this point I didn't feel like waiting another hour and 30 mins for hot food especially since it was almost 8pm. When I asked what else could be done, she said she could apply at $20 credit to my account and all I had to do was call in and it would be applied to my phone number. That was a LIE!!! I called on 7/6 to redeem my credit and was told I had to call back to speak to Kevin the owner because he was not available at that time. So, I called back 20 mins later and asked to speak to Kevin. Kevin said, "we don't give out $20 credits" (?even though my order was well over $20) and said he would have to go back and listen to the call because "he was not able to verify with Sarah because she was on vacation." Kevin told me to call back on Sunday 7/8 so he could have time to pull be call, which is today. I called back yet again and of course got the runaround and was told "Kevin is not available right now call back in 20-30mins." Do you see the pattern with this place. They are very transactional and have NO CUSTOMER Service skills whatsoever to be a manager/store owner. Needless to say I never got my credit and refuse to keep playing this cat and mouse game with them. This was all apart of their scheme so they don't have to own up to their mistake. If you have a taste for pizza do not go here... go to LaRosa or another establishment that knows how to treat their customers. I order from here often, I tip 20% everytime. I've been a big fan since moving to the west side. Tonight, my food took an hour and ten mins (I live 8 mins away)... I called to let them know I order the same thing often and this time it was cold... first the manager told me bc it's fries and pickles that take 3 mins and my hoagie takes longer... then she began to tell me the driver made it to my house and realized he didn't have my food so had to go back and get it.... So not only did my food sit for and hour and 7 mins I was only given a $5 credit (my tip was $5.02 tonight). Have been a loyal customer since we moved to Westwood in 2005. Have had our ups and downs as far as the food but really like supporting a locally owned place. For about a year every time we've ordered pizza it's just barely cut. As in you cannot get a piece out and have to re-cut it yourself. Not a tragedy but annoying. Our pizza, especially for the price was above average, better than a Dominos or Papa John's. The crust was soft and chewy, the sauce tangy and sweet and the toppings plentiful. Worse pizza experience ever. My 11 year old bagged for NYPD for dinner tonight. He was craving the ziti pasta. We put the hamburger we were thawing out back in the fridge and ordered online. The order was quoted as a 45 minute delivery. After an hour with no delivery, I called and was told the food was in the car out for delivery. Another 45 minutes past (we live about 10-15 minutes from NYPD) before we received our order. For those counting - that's almost 2 hours. As you can guess, the food was awful. Stone cold and almost all of it was inedible. We thought ahead (after about an hour and a 1/2 went by on the delivery wait) and warmed up the oven. Even with putting the food in the over to heat up, it was still awful. So here was a $45 cost that most was thrown in the garbage. My sons pasta was thrown out, cheese fried in the garbage, 2 personal pizzas were only 1/2 eaten then thrown in the garbage. The only thing that was somewhat edible was the hoagy. If you can't delivery your food in a timely and in an eatable condition, don't offer delivery. I don't know about most of you, but we are living on a tight budget and to throw $45 out the window on our splurge night is not ok. read more
