We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and to our surprise, were seated immediately! We ended up getting a half-and-half east coast crust - half Erie Ave and half Burrata Marg. For the price, you really can't get anything better in the city for a whole pizza that can last two people a few days. The sauce is bright and fresh, and toppings always complement the pizza very well. Crust is crisp and chewy. Service is quick, welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Be sure to get here early because the wait will be longer as the day goes on. Come here and feel like you're transported to New Haven!

This was the best pizza I've had in a long time. Thin New York style with some char on the crust. My only complaint is that they could have put more burrata. My partner and I finished the whole thing in one evening. They only sell 16" pizzas. You can get half and half any specialty pizza. We took it to go (and ate it at Urban Artifact), but you can eat there and they have a nice dining area. Call ahead to order pick up because the wait will be long. This was worth the drive and I can't wait to go back!

Seated quickly. It was around 5:30, so we probably beat the main dinner crowd. No background music! Yeah!! Usually the background music from ceiling speakers just increase the noise and make it difficult to have any conversation. This was perfect. Noise from the kitchen and other customers was not bad. Waitress was quick on the spot and told us the difference in pizzas. She checked up on us regularly. Good job with that. Not a wide variety of wine selection, but it is a pizza place, not a wine shop. Anyway, the Chianti was good, as was the red blend. Pizza!! Two crust styles. New York, thin crust and a Chicago style thin crust. We got one of each. One was 1/2 pepperoni 1/2 cheese. The other was the "Erie" which is cheese with hot honey, pepper flakes and very thin slices of jalapeños, we got only 1/2 with jalapeños. My wife and daughter both preferred the New York style because they liked the crust around the edges and pie shape pieces. I preferred the Chicago style with the square cut pieces and toppings clear to the edges. They are a bit more $ than some places. Two pizzas, 3 glasses of wine and one salad (big enough for three people) cost us $105 without a tip. So, be prepared to spend $ if you're paying for a group that drinks wine, wants a salad or appetizers. But the pizza was very good. Even with the cost, we will be going back. But go early, there was a line of folks waiting when we left, and they don't do reservations.

Speechless. Simply incredible pie. 100% lived up to the hype. Great taste, great service. Best New Haven style pizza in the Cinci area, hands down. Run don't walk.

We came to St Francis Apizza after hearing rave reviews and were happy we got seated right away! The house salad and Caesar salad were great. We got the Erie Ave pizza and the cheese pizza. The Erie Ave was really good! The menu is also affordably priced too when coming with friends and splitting a pizza between 2/3!

Heard a ton of hype about this place from Dave Portnoy's Cincinnati pizza reviews and a new location conveniently just opened up in Oakley so I had to give it a try. It absolutely lived up to the high praise as the best slice in Cincinnati. The crust was perfectly toasted and not too doughy and the sauce was slightly sweet and tangy which was delicious with the burrata. Highly recommend this place and this pizza! Will be back soon.

The first time I've heard of St. Francis Apizza was seeing a clip on Instagram. Looked so good that I told my fiancée that we have to check them out! They have another location in Hyde Park which is carry out only. We went for lunch on a Saturday. The inside is spacious with a bar area, wine and pizza to go. They specialize in New Haven/New York Inspired 16" Triangle cut serves 2-3 & Thin crust Chicago inspired. You can order their specialty pizzas or create your own. They are cooked well done and lightly charred. Vegan cheese is also offered. They have a great wine and beee list to choose from. You can also get Pizza dips (cost extra) on the sides. Besides pizza, they also serve salads, small charcuterie board and side olives. We ordered: Drinks: House Red (Montepulciano) Wandering Monsters/St Francis Apizza Apizza Beer Lunch: 16" New Haven pizza 1/2 and 1/2 1/2 Burrata Marg-Margo-Rita finished with burrata cheese 1/2 New Richmond-local mushrooms and red onion. We didn't have to wait long. Our pizza was perfection. The dough is what makes it. The ingredients went so well and I have to say that the Margo-Rita was my fave. Loved the fresh tomato sauce and burrata! Paired well with my red wine. My fiancée enjoyed it as well! Hillary was not only our server but also the manager. She was down to earth, attentive and helpful. She was telling us that they make their dough the night before and let it sit overnight. That's why it's so good! What a great experience and I can't wait to come back to try the Chicago style next! This is on my top 5 fave pizza joints in Cincinnati!

The St. Francis Apizza dine-in experience certainly lives up to the take-out one. We waited about 20 minutes for a table on Friday night. No big deal because you can grab a drink at the bar and have the tab transferred to your table when seated. The three of us had a Wandering Monsters ale and a bottle of the house red, a light and tannic wine that paired well with the pizza. To eat we ordered one pizza of each style. Mama Scholl's New Haven was a bit spicy with plenty of Italian sausage and hot peppers. The ratio of toppings to crust was perfect, with good spotting on the bottom of the dough. As usual my favorite part is the outer edge of crust where you can taste the quality of the bread and ingredients! We also had the Central Time thin crust. I liked the topping combo on this one a lot, even though thin crust isn't my preferred style. The pizza was sturdy and crispy enough to stand up to sauce and toppings but you don't get that same bread experience. I'd say the tavern style emphasizes the toppings, while New Haven tips the balance more toward the bread. All in a really great night out with personable servers, good drinks and delicious pizza. Can't wait to come back!

Such a cute and cozy place. Our waiter was nice and very informative on the menu. He recommended the PBOJ and I am so glad he did. It was incredible. We ordered the Chicago style for the PBOJ! The thin crust was incredible and it gave more of a light feeling. The sweet and spicy flavors balanced each other out and was magnificent. The NY/ New Haven style was delicious and a classic style of pizza. Our waiter told us that they cook their pizzas well done and there would be some char on the bottom of the pizza. I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor it added. Highly recommend. Will totally be back.

Excellent pizza, great atmosphere and helpful staff. Restaurant has free parking behind it off Brazee St. We ordered Cincy Supreme East Coast pizza (we changed green olives to black). Pizza was a little too well done for my wife but ok by me.

I love a Neapolitan pizza as much as the next girl, and Margarita pizza is actually my favorite. However, this pizza was just OK, not nasty but it lacked sauce for me. It was too dry. The crust and everything was executed well. What made it even better was the garlic oil with the pizza, which I loved and had to take home with me. That's a nice touch. I like that they sell beer and wine, cause that means they keep the cocktails simple. It's not a place I need to revisit, however I would and maybe try another pizza and add extra sauce. Service was OK. They do close a little early during the week (9pm) and there are no reservations. This place gets pretty busy so make sure you allow yourself enough time to enjoy the food and service. It's also family friendly so grab the kids. Come and grab a slice but add extra sauce!

    Pizza time!

After my fiancee and I heard about this place, we instantly wanted to check it out. We're both big pizza fans, and if there's a pizza place worth trying nearby us, we're gonna try it, and we were certainly glad we checked this one out. Great service, delicious pizza, and a very laid back atmosphere with awesome music too. Their specialty is New Haven style hand-tossed pizza and Chicago-style thin crust pizza. Their menu also includes different salads and tasty appetizers. Their libations menu isn't huge and mainly emphasizes wine but they do have select beer options from Wandering Monsters Brewing (great local brewery). Hillary, the manager, was our server, and she took all the time to explain everything to us. She was very friendly and welcoming. For drinks, I had a Wandering Monsters Apizza Beer (a collaboration between Wandering Monsters and St Francis), and my fiancee had the house Montepulciano. For our pizza, we did a 16" half and half of Burrata Marg and New Richmond. It was a bit busy for lunch on a Saturday but our pizza was ready pretty fast. It was absolutely delicious too! My fiancee and I had a tough time trying to decide which half we liked more. Before we left, we were already talking about coming back soon, so you KNOW we enjoyed it. They so have two locations, this one and one in Hyde Park, but this is the only one with seating. The other one if carryout only. Still, if you're looking for some excellent pizza, give one of their locations a try.

It was honestly so delicious, and oddly enough was even better reheated the next day! (Reheated great in a toaster oven) It also came out quicker than I expected. (With it being Chicago deep dish, I was prepared to wait!) We also got their appetizer sampler. The items were good, but the pizza balls definitely stood out! The dough was so fantastic and clearly homemade. It was perfectly buttery and flaky, yet firm structural. The sauce was also delicious. A must: pairing everythingggg with their house made ranch. My brother got a steak hoagie and was pretty disappointed when a small sandwich with a meat patty and a side of potato chips is what came out. It just didn't match the caliber of the pizza at all. We also got to Italian sub style hoagies, and those were both small and underwhelming as well. The dining room had a bit of a disheveled feel but I couldn't quite put my finger on what was off. The servers were attentive and kind. We parked at the Levee and walked over. Overall synopsis: I actually can't wait to get pizza here again!!!

The restaurant was clean and comfortable. They have outside seating, which could be nice in the right weather, though the area is just feet from the main drag. Our server was fine. I have no real recollection of them. We ordered a deep dish, looking to find a pizza as good as Zachary's in California. Bourbon House Pizza is not as good as Zachary's, but it is the best deep dish pizza we've tried in the Cincinnati area since we've been back in Cincinnati since 2021. We made our own pizza in an attempt to match our favorite - spinach and mushrooms. It was good. I enjoyed the sauce on top. Under the sauce, the cheese was very thick making the overall taste of the pizza very cheesy. We had a similarly cheese deep dish in Chicago. Our pizza at Bourbon House was better. I will say the crust is thick. I would have eaten the crust if there had only been two pieces per person. Since I was faced with potentially eating four pieces, I opted to skip the crust. One of our group asked if she could order from the kid's menu. The server had no issue with the request. Oddly enough, her meal was huge! We were all surprised it was a kid's meal. Our fourth ordered a small pizza. It looked like it had pineapple on it. I didn't ask how it was, but he ate every bite. It must have been a small and it was the perfect single serving size. Oh... we ordered a medium deep dish. It was eight pieces and was too much for two people. Because we were going to a show after dinner, we didn't box up the leftover two pieces. This size pizza would be great for four people to share. We will continue to look for great deep dish pizza, but we definitely found a good one at Bourbon House Pizza.
