Their slices are thin but huge, and the worker offered us sauce, so I tried the "unicorn sauce" (spicy and a little tangy). After several beers at Rhinegeist, we wanted pizza. Mikey's Late Night Slice came through! We were wand searched by security before entering, not something I'm used to or expected. They weren't super busy so we walked right up to the counter and ordered. Hubby had the spicy ass pepperoni and cheese with basil. I had the plain ass pepperoni. We shared the cheezy breadsticks. Our order was ready super quick. I thought the pizza was really good! The crust was seasoned nicely and had a perfectly crisp. Good amount of pepperoni as well. The cheezy breadsticks could have used another minute or two in the oven as some of the cheese was not quite melted all the way. I also would have preferred the marinara sauce to be warm. I was meeting my best friend and her family here for lunch. Her daughter has food allergies and this place has really good options for Vegans. I was amazed with the Decor when I walked in. Very open, artsy, eclectic style. I couldn't stop taking pictures. Their pizzas are New York style. I like the fact that their menu super simple. You can either order by the slice or whole pizza. You can build your own and even do half and half. Their vegan section is impressive, including their sauces that come with it. Besides pizza, they have small sides and appetizers. Next to the pizza joint is the bar. Wow! Insanely cool! We ordered the whole pizza so we can take some home. Half cheese basil and garlic mushroom. With it, we ordered a slice of spicy ass pepperoni. My friends ordered half vegan Buffalo chicken/vegan basil cheese pizza. The wait was only 25 minutes. Definitely worth the wait. Omg, the crust was super soft and went well with the vegan garlic butter. The pizzas were very flavorful with the right amount of sauce. Balanced just right. We were initially planning on eating inside, but the vibe of the place on a Tuesday night was a little creepy so we opted to just take it to go. The service was friendly though. Around midnight post concert my friend and I were looking for a late night bite - this was open, had good enough reviews, and was an 8 minute walk from our Airbnb. Walking in you've got the bar to the left and pizza counter to the right. When we arrived the line for pizza wasn't too long but when we left it was packed. It did take a while to actually get to place your order but once you do your order comes out within a few minutes. The staff behind the counter was friendly and working hard I just think they need to be provided a more efficient system for taking orders and getting them filled. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have the pizza of the week available- like I said it was only midnight but they serve pizza until 2:30am. I would've been willing to wait but for some reason it wasn't even being made? Not sure. They also have several dipping sauces for your pizza but the only thing available to try was garlic - another disappointment. I settled for the mushroom and garlic pizza with a side of garlic dipping sauce and an order of cheezy garlic bread sticks. The pizza was good - it's premade and then I think the throw it in the oven for a couple minutes to warm it up. It had a nice char on the bottom and good flavor. The garlic sauce was good - very nostalgic. It reminded me of Papa John's garlic butter sauce which I used to love as a kid. The garlic cheezy bread sticks were out of this world. Ordered a whole pie tonight , we made our own with spicy red sauce, jalapeños and banana peppers. Just a heads up if you order pick up online it's close to $10 more than if you order in person. We tried to call ahead and they said they were no longer permitted to take phone orders per their corporate policy. They said coming in would take 7 mins to make a pie. When we ordered in person it took more like 15 but seemed worth it to save that much. Pizza was tasty! Don't forget to grab their sauces. While I don't know if I'd call this a NYC style slice (its a bit too crispy and doesn't have that "flop" to it), its still a very good slice of pizza. Second time we have tried to eat here. Service is trash. We walked in and nobody was around. Walked to the other side and bartender was in deep conversation with a customer and two other people sitting at the bar. Walked towards the back of this restaurant and still nothing. What better way is there to celebrate Pi day than with a delicious slice of pizza?! I had never been here before, and was a bit leary about parking but I lucked out and found a spot right in front of the restaurant with no issues. Immediately upon entering I loved all the signage. The decor is right up my alley with a ton of quirk and a splash of sarcasm. This place looks super cool to me! I was the only one in line for pizza and I was greeted quickly and warmly by Mariah who patiently answered all of my questions about the menu. I decided on the Reuben pizza. I'm not a big pepperoni girl, and I figured why not try something adventurous? My girl Mariah hooked me up with the best looking slice on the pie (who am I kidding it all looked delicious) and I took it home to enjoy. It's a good thing I live close because I was nearly salivating by the time I got home! Mikey's nailed this Reuben pizza. The flavor profile was on point. It had sauerkraut, swiss cheese, corned beef, and was topped with their super tasty unicorn sauce. DELICIOUS! I highly recommend. You could cut holes in one and wear it as a pizza mask... Buuuut that would be a little weird. My lady and I went for our first time with a couple friends who had been there before for lunch. The place itself was bigger than I'd expected, with the pizza area on one side, and Oddfellows Bar on the other side. The whole place was very laid back and the employees all very friendly. As for the pizza, you can buy it by the slice, or you can get a huge whole one (they also offer 1/2 & 1/2 whole pizzas). They even have great vegan options. My lady and I ordered a 1/2 & 1/2 of cheese and basil with mushrooms and roasted garlic. We also got a slice of spicy-ass pepperoni (and yes, you HAVE to say, "Spicy-ASS pepperoni" when ordering. No need to be ashamed!). Our pizza was hot and ready in 25 minutes and was served with four different sauces (vegan ranch, garlic sauce, unicorn sauce, and spicy unicorn sauce). The pizza was not only big in size, but also big in flavor, some of the best I'd had in a while. Of the three options we ordered, it's tough to pick a single favorite, because they were ALL delicious. Even the seasoned crust was tasty and didn't really need any of the sauces, but the sauces were excellent too, and added an extra kick for sure (especially the spicy unicorn). Yeah, there's no shortage of good pizza places in Cincinnati, but Mikey's stands out among them in my opinion. Big pizza, big flavor, and big personality. I first came to Mikey's as part of a Yelp event but had to return shortly after. I couldn't believe how many vegan options they had (and with nut free cheese!). My daughter has severe food allergies and has never been able to enjoy pizza, but thanks to Mikey's Late night slice, she can! I took home the Vegan Buffalo chicken pizza and was completely floored. This was not an incredible vegan pizza, this was an incredible pizza, period. No sacrifice, and my husband and I could not even tell it was vegan. This was a huge game changer for my family and such an exciting night for my daughter. The inside of this building is enormous. With two bars on the top floor and even a basement area as well. I stopped in today for a YelpElite perk and decided to grab another slice so I could taste more than one type of pizza. I grabbed a slice of Mushroom w/Roasted Garlic and a slice of Spicy Ass Pepperoni. The pizza was pretty good, although not fresh. Maybe since I stopped in around 3 p.m. and I was the only person there was the reason. Having worked at a late night pizza window in OTR in the early 2000's, I know that it doesn't take too long before the pizza loses that fresh taste on the heat plate. So, I know that it wasn't old - just not super fresh, as made to order pizza. The interesting, eclectic interior was so fun! The music and colorful decor gives this place a party vibe. I think it would be a fun place to visit to have some cocktails and pizza. I'll stopped back in to try out more of their menu but next time will try a fresh made pizza instead of one on the hot plate. read more

I know where I'll be coming at the end of my nights on the town for a late-night slice! When you walk in you can go to the bar on the left, or get pizza on the right. I chose the mushroom garlic pizza with special sauces on the side: garlic, unicorn, and ranch. I noticed the pizzas were displayed without a heating element, but when you order they'll run the slice through the toaster to give it that crispy crunch. Came here during Cincy Pizza week. Being from Cbus, I know and have been to Mikey's and didn't have a strong opinion of it. But $9 for 3 slices was a great deal. We got the spicy pep, pep, and cheese. I wanted to try the thanksgiving pizza but was told they weren't going to have any for hours because he was busy. It was only one man working so I understand. The staff at both the counter and the bar were friendly and welcoming. I ordered the Spicy A!# Pepperoni and my son, the real pizza connoisseur, ordered a slice of each Plain A!# Pepperoni and Cheese. I grabbed a Shirley Temple at the bar for my little guy and then we sat in the dining area where we watched and jammed to the hip-hop videos playing on the tv. After three decades of eating pizza, I consider myself something of a pizza connoisseur. And let me tell you - the pizza here is some of the best I've had in recent memory. You can order by the slice or by the pie depending on how hungry you are. The best part is the dough - that perfect mix of crunch and chew. Ordered some delivery food from Mikey's and was overall disappointed. They didn't seem to be well set-up to be offering delivery. We unpacked our food, and everything was just stacked on greasy paper plates. The pizza itself was ok otherwise. We also ordered a Unicorn Bar, which was what I was looking forward to the most...and guess what got left out of our order. Overall, a disappointing delivery experience. Mikey's pizza never disappoints. Their Mushroom w/ Roasted Garlic is simply divine if you are a fan of mushroom pizzas. And you can't go wrong with a classic like the Plain-Ass Pepperoni. This trip we tried the Pepperoni Chips, which were good, but not what I was expecting when I ordered them. The people who we interfaced with were really nice. On to the Pizza. When I looked down the places and the offerings for the various restaurants for Pizza week there were only a few we wanted to try. I am a die heart - wanted pizza with sausage or pepperoni. I believe there regular price for a slice is $4. The special was 3 slices for $8. We shared 3 slices and were stuffed. The slices were large with lots of toppings. Good dough and excellent crust. It was a really good slice. There pizza sauce has a little kick to it. They also have a side area where they have 4 different dipping sauces, for the crust, to pick from. I really liked the unicorn sauce. By the way they also offer some other things on the menu, which looked pretty good. Like the salad where you can add a slice for $3 (as opposed to a slice where you add a salad). In case you have not heard they are open until some crazy time like 3 or 4 in the morning. We have tried pizza from many locations. I will have to put this #2 all time, in Cincinnati, on our list. It is only slightly behind our top pick. However, we will definitely be going back. If you like pizza then you should definitely check this place out. In my opinion, Mikey's remains a caliber above goodfellas. The pizza is paired with their variety of sauces and side dishes for maximum comfort food. The aesthetics of the interior can be described as "flamboyant" and "stoner-core". You feel cool just being in it. Mikeys used to be the go to place for cheap and tasty pizza after a night of drinking: though it remains in the top spot for pizza, the prices have steadily increased. Mikey's by the slice is what my pizza-by-the-slice dreams are made of. Not only do they reheat (!) your slice, they offer spicy and regular pepperoni slices, and two, count 'em, two types of vegan pizza by the slice! Don't mind me, though, as I went with the house recommendation of the Mac and Cheese slice, called the Mac and Cheezus! My name ain't Sam "Basic" Shine for nothing, so I'm also 100% here to represent the sauce station they have on hand. They got your garlic sauce (bow!), your ranch (pow!), your sriracha ranch (kablow!), but then for you average undecideds out there, they have a unicorn sauce that is just a big mix of all of 'em (kablammy!!). I have Celiac disease and I can't eat gluten. Mikey's used to be one of the only places in downtown cincy that I could eat at later at night. They had a personal sized gluten free pizza for about $12 or $14. They took the gf pizza off the menu recently and then brought it back, but only as a "large". After tax and tip I spent $37. The pizza is okay as far a gf pizza goes. This new pricing is way too high for such a small pizza. This is a large box but almost the same size pizza as I used to pay $12-14 for. :( read more
