Stopped in for a quick late lunch. They were very quiet and we were seated on the patio promptly. The menu is small but well executed. Our sandwiches, chicken and burger, were tasty. Came here over the weekend with a group of friends. I've been wanting to try it for a while now but just never made it over that way. Had about a 30 minute wait on a Saturday night so not terrible. Had a drink at the bar next door while waiting. We started with the shishito peppers and guacamole. The sauce with the peppers was to die for. Guac was top notch and didn't expect it from this place. My fitness split a burger and chicken sandwich's I got the regular burger and got it smothered with bacon. It may be one of the best burgers in Cincy aside from Sacred Beast. Perfectly cooked, cheese melted just right. Flipping amazing. The chicken sandwich I had a bite of and also delicious. Internal service, drinks, atmosphere all great. Might be my new favorite dinner place!! A group of friends, and I went to try this spot out, and was so excited. We were able to. We sat next to the window, and it was so cozy inside. The server was absolutely amazing, and answered all of our questions along with helped recommend beer and cocktails. we ordered chips and guac and the peppers as a appetizer and they were delicious and then for dinner I got a Caesar salad with chicken and my partner got a burger and both of them were so good. Delwood was on our Mt. Lookout tour. High yelp ratings brought us here. It was on the cool side, but the outside area out back called to us. It warmed up quickly. Our waiter was kind and efficient. There were a couple Fish & Chips ordered. I'd say my friends enjoyed their meals. I had the Fried Chicken B.L.A.T. Salad - Bacon, chopped romaine, avocado, tomato, aji verde. I opted for grilled chicken. It was quite good. Mark had the Fried Chicken Sandwich - Aji amarillo aioli, coleslaw on a toasted potato bun. I recall he liked it okay. The ambiance was nice. It would be great on a summer evening. The food wasn't great, but it was good. We might hang here if we lived nearby, but I wouldn't make the trip to Mt. Lookout Square just for Delwood. Our shishito peppers were the best! The sauce enhanced the flavor: My Mr and I split the Veggie Burger (black bean patty) and the salad. One of the best and light lunches I've ever had. The black bean burger had avocado and the sauce that was served with the shishito peppers. So good and addicting. The salad was amazing. My lady and I had been wanting to check this spot out for a bit and finally did recently. Absolutely glad we did because it was great. Excellent service, very tasty food, and a relaxed local feel. We rolled in in a Saturday afternoon for lunch. Even though they were pretty busy, we were sat right away. The place isn't huge but they do have lots of seating inside as well as a patio around back. Their menu isn't huge either but has a nice variety of upscale pub grub. Their libations menu is very nice. Our server Meg was very friendly and attentive. We started out with an order of shishito peppers and my lady got a glass of Malbec. The peppers were out very quickly and tasted fantastic especially with the aji verde aioli. As for our mains, my lady got the veggie burger, and I got the chopped salad with grilled chicken. Again, we didn't wait long at all before it was all ready. My salad was bigger than I'd expected and very tasty. My lady really enjoyed her veggie burger and I thought it was delicious too. In my opinion, when you go to Delwood, you have to get the burger & fries. The burger is awesome, so flavorful & cooked perfectly. Their waffle fries are so hot & crispy & come with a delicious dipping sauce. The yuca fries are great too, & I have decided I am truly obsessed with their sauces; they are so flavorful & well balanced. People friendly sports bar in Mount Lookout. Bar seating and patio seating but gets so busy. Sorry friends no reservation but worth the wait if you have to. If you time it just right, you can walk in and have a seat. I love to go during lunch in the middle of the week or in the evening after, the evening rush. My favorite is a margarita not pictured but it is my favorite in the city. The Caesar salad is amazing and I just learned you could add fish and not get the chicken. Finally got to try out Delwood after it being open for a while in Cincinnati. Every time I have tried to go the place is PACKED, which is probably a testament to their food. We got the Brussels sprouts, the burger, and the fish and chips. Honestly, the Brussels sprouts were fine. Nothing really special about them. However, the burger was the star of the show. It was delicious - simple and well made. The fish and chips was some of the best I've had in Cincinnati. The breading was light and fluffy not at all greasy. Fries were ok, nothing special. Overall would order either of these two dishes again. We sat outside, which was very nice. I'm very glad we didn't get an inside table - the placed is very cramped and loud. Again, it's because it's so popular and there's lots of people there, but I don't like that kind of environment. Outside was way more calm and more enjoyable. Will absolutely go here again. I LOVED THIS PLACE!!! We were passing through Cincinnati on our way to Columbus so I wanted to plan a meal around making a tourist stop. Of course I referred to Yelp to explore the highly rated restaurants. Actually, one of the reasons I chose Delwood was because they are dog friendly. Unfortunately, that is only the case during the warm weather to sit on the patio and it was winter time! I was able to order food at the bar to go. The staff informed me I could order beers for us to sip outside while we wait for the food. They were also so nice to provide a bowl of water for our munchkin. We were planning on eating in the car because our food would get cold very quickly outside. Our food was ready before we finished our beers so I requested plastic cups to transfer our beers into so we can finish it in the car. The staff accommodated that as well. OMG this burger was orgasmic!!! I ordered the double cheeseburger smothered, which was a suggestion by the staff, and I am so glad I accepted! Everything was so flavorful and I'm drooling just reminiscing about it now! Hubs ordered the spicy chicken sandwich, which was also amazing. But hubs wished he ordered the same thing I did. The fries were good, nothing horrible nor exciting. I do love some crinkle fries though! Have become regular Delwood visitors and totally agree with the hype. The atmosphere is easy: it is a bar. Same faces work there and I think that says alot about the satisfaction folks probably have working there. It also translates to friendliness and knowledge on the menu. Everyone is of course attentive as well. The menu is basic and limited. Exactly what you would expect when you go to a bar. Everything is quality. Go to items for myself and other folks that join me include the fried sishitos, burger with either bacon or egg or both, the fried chicken, and waffle fries. It is a win everytime. Fries are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. It is all what you would expect plus more because it is consistently perfectly cooked. Great place and can't wait until next time! The burger is the star of the show. Very juicy and it came with plenty of the special sauce. The special sauce was actually dripping from my burger. The burger was delicious, but expensive. Especially since the burger does not come with sides. The waffle fries are crisp and came with aioli, but a little lackluster. I actually would have preferred to dip my fries in the special sauce rather than the aioli. Parking is tight and there are not a lot of parking spaces available. I've got a free spot a few blocks down, but expect to walk a few minutes for the prime location they're at! Location: 5/5 stars -- right in the square, plenty around to see and places to hang out at if you have a significant wait. In terms of Mount Lookout, the location can't get any better! Availability, 4/5 stars -- we had to wait ~10 minutes this time around, which is as expected since we walked in at 6pm on a Friday... overall, not bad at all! However, there's not a good waiting area since the bar is usually packed, so expect to wait outside or at a nearby establishment. Not a huge deal, but notable if you've got a bigger group. Service, 4/5 stars -- very attentive and quick. The server wasn't exceptionally amiable, but got the job done. Not anything super noteworthy here, which isn't necessarily a bad thing! Atmosphere, 3/5 stars -- I always appreciate good interior design, and there wasn't much here... Usually my expectations are low (I came to a restaurant, not an art gallery, after all) but for the pricing and the look of the exterior, I'd expected more. I was meeting a friend here and she said she wanted to sit outside and I was really confused about where the outside area was. When I went in, it looked like a small bar area and was asked if I would like to sit on the patio in the back. I was like wow I feel dumb, but agreed to sit out back. The patio was beautiful and shaded enough that I enjoyed the nice weather without it being too sunny to enjoy. Our waiter, Oliver, brought out two waters and I asked for a shareable of chips and guac. I also ordered a jalapeño margarita and asked if they could put a splash of pineapple juice in it. He said that sounded super good and he couldn't wait to try it. We got our orders take and I got the veggie burger. It was VERY messy, but SO worth it. YUM!! I do not know why it took me so long to finally try Delwood. I had long heard people raving about it. I am so glad I finally did because it was great! I placed an order ahead for take out online. I was able to snag a quick spot out front and ran inside to grab my order. They do also offer curbside. I tried the crispy brussels sprouts which were seriously like Pringles. You cannot eat just one. They were addictive! The sauce that they came with was so good I couldve eaten it by itself! I also tried the tostones. They were equally as amazing and addictive. So was their dedicated sauce. For the main dish I got the El Jefe Double burger, smothered. It was fabulous. Seriously.
