Stopped by Tickle Pickle in Fort Thomas recently and had a really great experience. The service was excellent--friendly and attentive, which made for a really relaxed atmosphere. The food was definitely the highlight. I went with the Slaytar, which was tasty, though next time I might ask for a little extra tartar sauce on the side. My wife grabbed the Pearl Jam and really liked it, and my daughter went with the Bread Zeppelin, which was a hit with her as well. It's a super comfortable spot to grab a bite, and we'll definitely be adding this to our Cincinnati adjacent rotation. If you're in the area and looking for a solid meal, I'd highly recommend checking it out. read more

Love this spot to stop in for lunch, lots of vegetarian options. Enjoyed the coney Bennett vegan hot dog. Asked for ghost pepper cheese instead of the vegan cheese and it was hearty and delicious. Got it with a side of crispy fries and spicy garlic sauce. Any of their burgers can be subbed for veggie burgers and there are veggie chikn tenders available as a side. I've lived in Cincinnati for several years and I cannot believe this is my first time at tickle pickle! we had an all-around amazing meal and the vibes are very fun in the restaurant! There is plenty of street parking (free) and you can seat yourself. The staff were friendly and interactive, and served us quickly. The menu is so fun... You will have a hard time choosing between burgers! While so many options looked delicious, I ended up getting the vegan black bean burger because it was rated one of the best in the city. It was very good! The pickle and red onion and barbecue sauce were really nice touches on the pretzel bun. It's a homemade burger patty, which is a lot better than a store-bought patty you'd find at most restaurants. at a price point of only $10, I upgraded to fries on the side, which were also delicious. Maybe it's because I had just spent some time on the West Coast, but I was shocked at my $12 bill for such a big and delicious meal! Tickle pickle is a great value. Great little "dive" bar located in Ft. Thomas. We saw the reviews online and thought we would give it a try. Good sign was it was crowded at 130pm on a Saturday afternoon. We chose to sit at the bar, but there are plenty of tables if you choose otherwise. Greeted by the bartender who welcomed us and helped us through the menu with suggestions and what her favorites were Good beer/wine/alcohol selection. I had the pearl jam burger... Wow it was good!! My wife had a chicken wrap, which was also very good and large. We tried the wings as an appetizer and those were hot and crispy. Spoke with the owner/manager and got some history on the place. Super friendly and offered different suggestions for next time. Prices were fair and what we expected. Service was quick and friendly. Will definitely go again when in the area. read more

I ordered the Slaytar burger . It had American cheese, bacon, tarter sauce, lettuce, pickle and tomato on a pretzel bun. It came with Grippos BBQ chips. The burger was cooked great, it was juicy, hot and tender. We ordered a side of spicy slaw and potato salad. Both sides were very good. Our server Kaytlin was great. The ambiance was rock and roll diner with rock stars faces printed into the laminent of the table. They also offered outside seating at the entrance with patio umbrellas. This location is in the old 915 Cafe spot. The decor isn't much different, it's still cozy and familiar. My wife and I enjoy this place so much. For my wife it's sll about the Goetta Van Fleet (macaroni and cheese with goetta and Grippos bbq chips) and the milkshakes (also 2 of my favorites). I don't know what's the best part of the mac and cheese is, but the 3 things work fantasticly together! The mac snd cheese is creamy and delicious, and the goetta and chips just set it off. The milkshakes have that old fashion flair to them, so thick, so creamy. If you drink your shake first, you may be too full to eat, but its such a good thing. I have had all of the burgers they offer, and you can't go wrong with any of them. Depending on how hungry you are you can get them as a single and you can also add a patty. My two favorites are the Nom Petty and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I'm a sucker for for a good mushroom and swiss burger, that's the Nom Petty. A lot of fresh grilled mushrooms, gooey melted swiss and a hot juicy patty. All fantastic goodness. I think, at least this week, my over all favorite is the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I get this burger with a double patty. This burger has a spicy ketchup, mayo, pepper jack chese, bacon and jalapeño poppers. Just an explosion oof flavor. It's just the right amount of of heat for me, and it's just fantastic. The service is that good old fashioned family restaurant type of service. Everyone is so friendly, always smiling, and I never have to wait for a thing. I just tried the wings this week, homerun. Big, meaty, hot, bone in wings with homemade ranch and or blue cheese on the side. A can't miss. There is something for everyone. We just discovered his gem of a bar/restaurant in Fort Thomas Kentucky. It has a menu that has quite a few different items with a slight focus on burgers. We started with some pulled pork fries which were absolutely fantastic. Delicious bbq and and good fries along with cheddar cheese made for a delightful appetizer. I tried their wings which were very traditional, no frills wings. I got it with hot Buffalo sauce. I've had wings from many, many places from all over the country but I've gotta say these were my favourite. The sauce was perfect with the perfect amount of pice and flavour and the wings themselves were perfectly cooked and a good size. Also their house made bleu cheese was super delicious too. The restaurant is a little on the loud side but that's to be expected with a bar atmosphere so be aware of that. Also the service was top notch as well. We got there ordered and we waited, and waited, and waited some more. 25 minutes later I get my beer, 40 minutes later we get our lukewarm burgers (which were made wrong) and cheese curds. This location had lots of seating as well as a bar. Our waitress was awesome and very helpful with the menu. It's been quite a while since I've been to Tickle Pickle (Northside), so I was excited to try the Ft. Thomas location for the first time for Burger Week 2023. I do appreciate that they normally provide gluten free buns as an option for customers, so I wanted to see if I could add it to my list of go-to options for the future. There were two burger week options: the Meatallica or Buns 'n' Roses. I went with the Meatallica: beef burger, fried egg, bacon, American cheese and mayo. I guess they missed the mayo memo, because my burger came with no condiments. I don't know if that was because of the gluten free bun or what, but it was disappointing and left the burger kinda on the dry side. I'm willing to give it another go - they were super busy on a weeknight for Burger Week, so I know they're extra busy compared to usual! Service was a little slow for that reason, but about what I anticipated given the circumstances. It's a nice little spot with quite a bit of seating, which included outdoor seating and I liked the overall decor and vibe of the place. It's first come, first serve for seating, so be aware! I liked a lot of the burger options, so I'm sure we will be back to try some different burgers another time and I'll be sure to update when we do. read more

First, any establishment where a patron hands their 6-month old child to a server, has to be great. And TPFT is. Sat outside with one of my pups, they have water bowls out. Atmosphere was laid back. Servers were great. I had a special cocktail with pineapple in it which I don't like (i like pineapple just not the juice particularly in a drink/cocktail), but I was in a Try It mood. And Thank God I was. The drink was good though I would not order it again. The Burger! The burger was excellent and the jalapeño jam?!? Another dislike for me, but Mom always said, "Keep trying things, your taste buds change!" At the request of my server, she gave me the jj on the side & again Thank God she did. I tried it on a small fry...then my burger...ended up dumping it on! It is wonderful & worth the drive alone. In fact, I recommend get it on the burger & a side for your fries which are great as well = seasoned. Excellent experience all around. It's a couple blocks from the high school which can be pretty convenient. Everything looked clean, fun and upbeat, as was their staff. This is a new restaurant so there were a few hiccups but nothing worth dinging a star. I think when they get some time under their belt they will run like a well oiled machine... Husband got an impossible burger with spicy cheese, curry spicy ketchup, lettuce, tomatoes and onion and the fries... he really liked his burger and he said he could taste the curry in the ketchup and he said it enhanced the burger.... so if you like curry (Indian) maybe try it out. He said the fries were "ok" Our kiddo got a kids meal burger and fries and she thought it was okay... temperature was lukewarm - cool. I got a regular cheeseburger with fries and the cheeseburger was really good but personally I am not a fan of the fries. Temperature wasn't great so it's hard to fairly evaluate them .... I am giving them a break because quality was there... and again they are new.. We each got a shake.. strawberry, chocolate and Oreo and they are all homemade and really good.. I loved the strawberry most. All the burgers are wrapped in foil paper and that seems wasteful as we were really close to the kitchen- also not sure how 2 of our meals were lukewarm (cheese not melted- weird) with said wrappers I Love that they don't rip me off for a can of Diet Coke.. :) 1.00$ read more

Atmosphere-If you sit outside at the Ft. Thomas location, the tables are on un-level ground. Food-Today I ordered a chicken sandwich minus the cheese and mayo. When my order came out, I asked for regular mustard. The waitress then returned with a tiny container of mustard. When it was time to leave, I looked over our bill and noticed I was charged $.50 for mustard, which is strange considering, from my experiences, restaurants provide condiments for you to use free of charge. When I mentioned this to one of my friends, he stated he ordered a burger here a few weeks ago that came with a pretzel bun instead of a regular bun. He didn't want the pretzel bun and asked the waitress to switch out the bun for a regular bun. When he received his bill, he was charged two dollars extra for a regular bun opposed to a pretzel bun because "it was a change order." Do better Tickle Pickle! read more

My wife and I stopped by a few weeks after their grand opening to give them time to work out any kinks. Maybe we didn't wait long enough? The service was lackluster to say the least. Our server was friendly when they were around but they seemed pretty uninterested in tending to their tables. They clearly knew someone at one of the back tables and spent most of their time chatting them up or hanging out behind the bar with their coworkers. The food itself was fine. My wife got a regular burger which was a solid burger but nothing special. I tried one of their veggie burgers and while I thought it tasted fine it was a challenge to eat due to it disintegrating almost immediately. Dined here on a whim with some friends while roaming around Fort Thomas. This place is a must go! Super fun place with unique burger names! They also have trivia on certain nights with made the experience ever better. The ambiance gave hole-in-wall, sports bar environment which I personally love. I had such a hard time choosing which burger I wanted because they all looked delicious! I ended up chowing down on the Nom Petty, which was phenomenally juicy.
