We checked this place out recently and it was pretty good. My wife and I tried the milkman burger. Our daughter had the kids burger. We also tried the disco fries and a chocolate shake. The burgers were big and tasty. They were a bit dry and had a different after taste, but that could be how they seasoned them. The disco fries were like a poutine and were delicious.
We got the two Milkman burgers but at 8.99 I expected more topping than just cheese, pickles and sauce. Wife was smarter and got the kids meal burger. Same size but no cheese, but came with fries for $10! Better deal - so I recommend you get that and some onion rings. We liked their onion rings. Also the sauces you have to pay for (one dollar!) , except for ketchup and mayo. THAT SUCKS--cuz they seem to have some interesting ones.
Absolutely love milkman! It's a consistent experience every time and I love the food! I get the deluxe burger with no bun and a side of fries with their house sauce and wow! My favorite part is that they are smash burgers and filled with flavor. The restaurant itself is in the heart of OTR and very clean. All of the servers are always super nice and provide great service to the customers.

My friend ordered fries as her side. They were crisp and flavorful and the dipping sauce that came with them was a mild but yummy flavor.
Parked at the Casino and walked straight down to this hidden gem. I know it is OTR but don't let that throw you off. Outdoor and indoor seating - and food was served up delicious!
Milkman, you were so, so, so good to me! I've never been into the restaurant, though I have gotten DoorDash once before. It was as delicious as I wanted it to be! The entire restaurant feels like the diner Sam worked at in Cinderella Story from the early 2000s - very vintage, very retro, very 50s! It's what I imagine restaurants looking like when my grandparents went on dates when they were my age. I had gotten the tofu nugs via DoorDash, which were better IRL and the milkshake was scrumptious too! My friend got the Milkman Burger, fries, and a fruity pebbles shake. It was all great but let me tell ya...we had this meal almost two weeks ago and I'm STILL dreaming of those French fries. I have had so many iterations of fried potato before...shoestring, steak, wedges, sweet potato, those made from yuca, curly, dipped in ice cream, etc. and these are the best fries I've had in my life. If I could live off the fries, I would. They were that good. I already have plans to share this place with other friends of mine as it has officially worked its way into the rotation for me!
greeted immediately, ordered and sat down and food came almost instantly, it was amazing how quickly actually, burger was juicy and cripsy, the green chili salsa actually was a great addition. the bacon was crispy and so were the french fries, they were seasoned well and the price was very consumer friendly. 2 burgers fries and drink for $26, not bad and got me feeling great as it was filling but not heavy. music and ambiance was great felt like an old time diner, I would definitely come back as the burger was delicious.
I wasn't sure what I wanted for lunch but I needed lunch, so when I saw a smashburger on Google Maps, I was sold! I told a friend of mine that I think this is the best burger I've ever had in my life! I didn't even get to the fries until I inhaled the burger, and they were still warm and perfectly cooked! The place is moderately busy for 2:00 on a Friday afternoon. The staff was very nice, from the cashier to the busser who offered to clean off my table for me. Drinks are bottled by the register and I opted for a Dasani instead of a milkshake that they make by hand. Trying to be healthy. I'm also trying not to come back here every day for the next few days I'm in the city. Well done, Milkman!
I was visiting Cincinnati for a conference and Milkman popped up online as a good, affordable local spot. The restaurant has a good old diner feel and it's kept super clean. The staff are friendly and make everything to order. I was expecting to like the food but it turned out to be some of the best fast food I've ever had. The veggie burger isn't some outsourced patty. It has a full, rich flavor and the dark red color seems to come from beets but you don't get a strong beet flavor at all. The texture is smooth but close to a burger patty. They smash it just like their burgers. My partner also liked the Milkman burger and thought the smash patty was really good. The fries are crispy and flavorful and the shake was amazing. I was surprised how much butterfinger they put into the shake. I highly recommend stopping by Milkman if you're in Cincinnati.
Nice costumer service and very fast. There's a lot of employees working and the place is spotless. They provided water cups for free with ice and even refilled it when we drank it all. Everything was really good. It's a little expensive but it's great quality.

Went for their Expresso-Self shake with ESPRESSO LIQUEUR, SPICED RUM, AMARO, WHIPPED CREAM, BITTERS, COCOA POWDER. Very creamy and delicious. I like the meat to shine and passed on the toppings, except some pickles on the side. I was very impressed with the flavor and the texture was perfect. Bun wasn't overpowering and capped it off perfectly. Service was pretty good but they didn't make my shake until I was finished and asked for it a second time. Was worth the wait. Spacious booths and a nice patio area out front.
Ate at Milkman in the Over the Rhine Neighborhood of Cincinnati. We got a great smash burger , a hotdog with chili and cheese and a bacon burger with fries and 2 Mexican cokes. The burger was stellar. We liked the hot dog. Chili was sweet. Neat quirky little place. read more
Pricey , but decent. Burgers could use more toppings. Hubby and son each got The Milkman. It came with cheese/ pickles and "special sauce. 8.99 - no fries. We also ordered Chili cheese fries, onion rings and a shake. I liked the Onion rings. Do yourself a favor and do what I did- and get a kids plate for $10 . Burger is same size (no cheese) and fries are included. Water is kind of a pain because u have to keep going up to counter for them to refill. I think the atmosphere of the place reminds me a lil of Johnny Rockets with Shake shack prices. You even have to pay $1 for sauces if u want anything beyond Ketchup! Crazy! Pretty high for sauce too if you ask me cuz it's maybe 50cents , if a place charges for sauce unless you are in a fancier place. Idk if I would recommend this place cuz of the price point but it sure was busy. It hit the spot after walking around downtown all day tho. read more

I got the make your own burger with meat patty, grilled onions, pickles, and special sauce. It was pretty good in all honesty. I did have it to go so all I can tell you is the food was pretty good. I don't know how much I can actually recommend it. The best thing it is down town Cinci so it's decent enough to go to for lunch. read more

I'll stay off with how delicious the Dairy Free butterfinger shake was!? And yes, if you knew me these are words you'd never expect me to say but the lovely Mrs asked for it so we make her happy. The chicken sandwich was interesting? Probably more than half was breading so totally couldn't taste the chicken? The gravy fries(don't see the in the linemen) but the wording made them sound way better than they were. Rather bland. The Smashburger was pretty good. Don't know where they get the buns from here but they are the highlight to both sandwiches. The store is well laid out, the folks working here are super friendly and it's a very short walk from Washington Park/Cincinnati Pops orchestra. Reason for 4 stars is the price. Pleasantly surprised by this vintage diner gem in OTR! My friends and I checked it out on a Friday night and it was crowded but we still got a table right away. I LOVE that they offer tofu swaps on any of their chicken or burger entrees though I wish it wasn't an upcharge (tofu is way less expensive than meat!) and they mentioned a veggie burger alternative too. The tofu was crispy and went perfectly with the unique PBJ burger toppings. The fries were served nice and hot with sauce or ketchup. I also got a quality vanilla milkshake but I'll have to come back after Dry January to sample the boozy versions! read more

I decided to eat here on a whim as I was in town traveling for work. I googled burger places near me and Milkman came up as highly rated. The parking can be hit or miss but I was able to find curbside parking. The restaraunt itself was well maintained and the staff was very professional. The place seems like a nice hangout spot for families and friends. They have spiked drinks as well for the older crowd. I've never eaten here before so I stuck with what I like. I got onion rings, the cowboy burger, and a chocolate milkshake. All three were great my favorite being the milkshake and onion rings. The spicy ranch sauce with the onion rings was amazing. Overall this is one of the best burger spots I have eaten at and will definitely visit again whenever I am back in towns read more

I gave a 4 star because they left the pickles off my burger! Besides that, this smashburger was DELISH! Hit all the right spots(well after adding pickles at home) sauce with fries was amazing! Milkman is a cute, casual spot near the park. It's the kind of place where you walk up and order and then take a number to your table and they'll bring you out your food. this was my first time in and the burger was very delicious. The staff was very patient because I had 1 million questions about my food so I was very appreciative of that. I got a single patty burger because I also want fries and it was very filling. I also got a boozy shake, the Kokomo spritz! I was really excited because they had a dairy free option and they even let me taste the dairy free, soft serve before I ordered my shake. The customer service was 10 out of 10. I enjoyed my shake, but I probably would've picked something that complemented the oat milk ice cream. The Kokomo spritz is very fruity, and the flavors clashed with the taste of the oats. read more
What can I say other than this place is absolutely amazing if you like a 50s style diner smash burgers!! It came highly recommended from a good friend who just happened to be in Cincy during opening week a few years ago and they go back every time they are in town, which is frequent so we had to give it a try when we were heading back to Louisville from IKEA. When you walk in, I was greeted immediately at the counter where they have a menu overhead where you order (there is a Cooler of different drinks, including beers and such to the right of the counter). I got a Milkman and made it a double which is a double smash burger with American Cheese and special sauce (no pickle) along with a side of side fries that comes with fry sauce and a Mocha Martini boozy shake. The burger was delicious and cooked to perfection. The fries were fresh and crispy and the boozy shake was outta this world. Talk about a cheat meal lol The staff was kind, polite and more than patient with all the questions we had. 10/10 recommend! read more
So I've been to Milkman twice now and I just love the vibes of this place. Inside is very cute just like a diner vibe and it's located right around the corner in Washington park so a great spot to grab a bite when in the area. The first time I came I got a spicy burger which was yummy and had good flavor. This time when I went I got the chili cheese fries which were good but a bit salty at the same time. The service was really great. We went during the last hour of it being open and the workers were very kind and even allowed us to just sit and talk for a bit while they were cleaning. I definitely would recommend checking this spot out especially if in the Washington Park area! read more

My friend and I decided to stop by Milkman because she wanted to try the chicken nuggets. When we walked in, it was packed and it was takeout only or wait for a table. We knew that meant we were about to enjoy a good meal. We sure did! They use real chicken chunks, not processed chicken for their nuggets. The cheeseburger and fries were really good. Even though their burgers are smash burgers, they were very flavorful. The hamburger had the perfect amount of seasoning. I always get my burgers plain or with cheese only. I want to enjoy the flavors of the meat, I feel like with all the extra toppings you miss out on being able to enjoy the burger. The fries were seasoned well and were nice and crunchy, yet soft. The restaurant itself is super cute. I really love all the Elvis stuff they have there. My grandma loved Elvis, so it reminded me of her and made me smile even more. Every part of this experience was pleasant. I am going back this weekend to try one of their alcoholic shakes. read more
This was our first time at Milkman, so we were a little overwhelmed by the choices but the friendly staff answered our questions and gave us some recommendations. We placed our order at the counter then had a seat and our made to order lunch was brought out to our table about 10 minutes later. My husband had the chili cheese fries and liked them a lot. I got a "make your own damn burger" with swiss cheese, grilled onions, and bbq sauce with a chocolate shake to drink. Each topping is an extra charge, so I would have preferred more...if I'm paying $1 for bbq sauce, it should be more than a smidge. That being said, the burger was very good on it's own, so I did not go up to ask for more. The restaurant has a old fashioned diner vibe with old black and white photos of celebrities from that era displayed on the walls. Food was above average . Overall service was good . Cashier was not as fun and friendly as the restaurant presented itself . The vibe itself was a more put together steak and shake . Think build your own burger was a cheap shot at charging for extra toppings so I recommend picking a menu item for budget buyers . read more

What a flash from the past! This place is a gem friendly customer service and quick fresh food what more can you ask for?! I've been here about 4 times that's how good it is, they have a diverse menu with drinks . They have 70s restaurant style seats and lots of pictures of Elvis. Clean bathrooms. All around great American style dining! read more
