Rotted bagel sandwich
Brooke M.

I emailed customer service about this issue but I guess they don't have anyone responding. I spent roughly $25 on two sandwiches to go and when I got home, the bagel sandwich was the wrong one from what I ordered and the avocado on both was brown, slimy, and sad. I couldn't consume these due to health concerns. I wish they'd make it right, this store has been inconsistent in the past but never this bad.

The barbie Malibu smoothie

Good ambience, pricey smoothies and cold press juices. The service was ok but I caught them at the end of the day, so totally understandable. The smoothie was delicious and definitely recommend try atleast once.

First time coming here, my wife recommended me this place since this was her former go-to spot when she visited the Cincinnati area. This place was a great casual visit, staff here was friendly, I almost forgot to see the smoothie menu they had a plethora of options. Smoothie was great that I ordered but for $11,in a small size cup, it didn't feel worth the price. Great variety of food and grab and go options.

One of the best vegan restaurants I have ever been to in my life, probably in the United States. The food and dessert options are unbelievably tasty, healthy, and make it easy for those who have any kind of dietary restrictions to find a wide variety of healthy and delicious options. My pesto sandwich was to die for. And the service and ambiance very pleasant to study or just relax with friends. Strong emphasis on ethical practices and kindness

Fountain of youth smoothie

After finishing up a workout class, and watching people run faster than you, sometimes you feel like rewarding yourself with a smoothie. I swung by Rooted on a Saturday morning. I parked I. The subway parking lot and despite the signs, was not towed. I ordered the Protein Punch smoothie ($10.50) for myself and the Fountain of Youth ($11) for my girlfriend. I was between the Fountain of Youth and the Strawberry Fields but the worker preferred the Fountain of Youth. I appreciated their honesty. Both smoothies were good but I preferred the Fountain of Youth. I enjoyed the Rooted aesthetic. Their merch was really cool. I will come back. The smoothies didn't take long and I appreciated the service. If the Protein Power smoothie had a little more flavor, and the prices were a little lower I'd give five stars.

Kinda crazy. $14 dollars for an açaí bowl and this is what you get? Definitely going somewhere else next time. It barely has any fruit.

I love a good juice, and this one exceeded expectations. Rooted has great service and a menu that goes on for days. I love the healthy options and the convenience of ordering.

Quesadilla

I used to love this place! I want to still love it but it's becoming increasingly harder to do so. Over the summer of 2022 my husband and I went and noticed the portion sizes were much smaller than what they used to be. Food was still good but we left hungry still on food that used to make us satisfied. After our previous bad experience we decided to go again today. We both ordered our own quesadillas to go. When we got home we noticed they no longer come with the cup of delicious pico de gallo :( It also doesn't come with the avocado crema but instead just mashed up bland avocado. The only thing that remains the same with the sauces was the cashew cheese. The quesadillas had very minimal filling which was incredibly disappointing (see photos). They also just seemed more bland. Honestly it felt like something I could make myself at home. Despite the fact that the portion sizes are smaller, food is more bland, and there is no more pico de gallo they increased their prices! The quesadilla used to be $11 and has now increased to $13. I totally understand that things are going up in price and that's ok. What's not right is that portions are smaller and the price still went up. The website also needs to be updated as it's still showing the old prices and descriptions. This is all so sad to me- I used to love this place but now I just can't seem to justify going back and telling everyone about it.

I love Rooted! They have so many things to offer besides just smoothies. Their food menu is excellent. The zucchini pad thai is my favorite, but the charcoal bagel and cream cheese is also delicious. For sweets, I love the vegan key lime pie and cookie dough truffles! My mom is currently on a mostly raw diet, and it's hard to find places where she can eat with that dietary restriction. Rooted makes that pretty easy with their variety of options that are raw or mostly raw. You can even buy vegan charcuterie here when it is in stock, which I think is super cool! They do take a while to serve your food but it is delicious and worth the wait in my opinion.

Avocado Toast

Great spot! Helpful and kind service. The Acai Bowl was tasty and a great price, $9. I appreciated the Gluten free options-- both the granola in the Acai Bowl and many of the pasteries. I actually think the most special here were the juice shots. They were some of the best I've ever bought or made.

Fudge brownie with cacao nibs up top

if you're into plant-based foods you really can't do better in Cincinnati then routed. Everything they make is tasty, nutritious, and satisfying. It is expensive, because they use high quality stuff and they actually take the time to make it by hand. But it's probably the most worthwhile nutrition you can buy. lately my partner has been loving their desserts, entirely vegan and yet somehow still moist, rich, and delicious. The cookie dough cupcake is incredible, and the brownie is delightfully fudgy despite bean plant based. Quick, and very convenient service from smiling faces. Well I think they're smiling, they are wearing masks after all

First impressions when walking in: cool, relaxed vibe. Nice and clean. On closer inspection, the table was wobbly and the inside could use a fresh coat of paint. BUT...the food was great. My wife had the pad thai, which was delicious. I had the burrito which was a tiny bit too sweet but the veggies were fresh and crisp. The walnut "meat" had good flavor and I enjoyed it. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place. We will totally be coming back again

I also noticed that they are Black-owned,which is awesome to see. At the time, they had only been open for, I wanna say, two-ish weeks so my colleague and I decided to give it a go. The staff was eager to greet us and we got a seat right away. The space itself is magnificent. The bright bursts of color caught my attention first. It's definitely a vibrant space, modern, trendy, photogenic, fun, and creative. You got to check out the bathrooms - so cool! From what I gathered, the owner helped design it himself. The service is what stood out next. Everyone was so friendly, the chef and owner came to our table to check in, which is always a nice touch. As for food, I was only in for a quick bite so I went with the kale caesar salad and a side of truffle fries. I love me a good kale caesar and that definitely hit the spot. The only con with the food was that the serving sizes were rather small for the price. I believe this spot turns into a nightlife experience in the evenings. They have a full bar and even a DJ booth. I would no doubt visit again in the evening. It's great for a date night or evening with friends. Overall, I hope they succeed and recommend you give them a try, even if you don't like vegan food.

The space is open, bright and well decorated making it very inviting for brunch. You order at the counter from the menus placed along the wall then food is delivered to your table. The various brunch items all sounded very inviting so I was having trouble deciding what to order. So I got a recommendation to try the Shakshuka. Not sure how to pronounce it but when it arrived it was just the right portion and quite tasty for brunch. It's a bowl with a red pepper sauce and feta cheese and kale along with eggs sunny side up. The dish is served with pita so you can do a little bit of dipping in the tasty sauce. To accompany our food we selected the mimosa service and bloody mary pitcher. A pitcher is just perfect for sharing. And the mimosa service was delightful. The server arrived with a bottle of Prosecco and small carafes of orange, grapefruit and blood orange juices to mix yourself. The food was fresh and tasty with prompt delivery of our food to our table. Not quite a full service restaurant since you have to order at the counter but still a nice experience located downtown.

This is the second time I am writing this review because yelp will occasionally just not post a…read morereview that was written nor save a draft. I apologize if my fury towards the time wasted shines through. Anyway, I was thrilled to see this place during research for my recent trip to Cincinnati. I think every town (every city might be more reasonable) should have a place like this. I, like some other reviewers, was surprised to see that this place is only pick up and delivery. It actually works out because you are able to peruse the menu in peace instead of the person behind the counter impatiently staring at you like a (I had to remove a word here because Yelp thought I was being "offensive" in my hypothetical scenario, use your imagination) who didn't immediately know what to order within a second of seeing the menu. There are a few picnic tables outside if you wanted to eat on location. This was our last 1/2 day before a flight later in the afternoon and had a lot of eating to do so we decided to just split the breakfast sandwich. The sandwich contains vegan sausage, seasoned tofu, vegan hollandaise sauce all in between a homemade biscuit. The sandwich was FIRE. The proteins were hearty and that hollandaise sauce was absolutely delicious. I only meant to have a bite but I couldn't stop eating it. My only criticism is that the thing was very small, much smaller than expecting for the price of over $10. I interacted briefly with someone I think is probably the owner and she was super nice. She mentioned that their biscuit cutter has gotten smaller and that they plan on getting new, larger ones. She told me this completely unprompted when I went inside looking for a trash receptacle. Thinking about it now it was as if she read my mind but upon further reflection the glass between where she was and the picnic tables outside probably wasn't sound proof lol. From our sample size, the food here is very good. I would probably order something like the burrito next time to get my money's worth.

The menu, while all vegan, is a mix of styles, and sometimes I wonder if I'm harder on vegetarian restaurants about my tastes than I am on normal ones. I'm not really into the whole fake meat thing, but they still had some interesting options. The lunch box I ended up with had biscuits, mac and cheese, and a soupy side of beans and greens. It was a little more liquid and a little less of the actual beans and greens than I'd hoped, but when you throw in a good quality vegan butter, it was tasty stuff. The truffle mac and cheese was lightly coated with something that wasn't cheese, but was delicate and nuanced enough in flavor that I was happy with it. It was pricier than the non-vegan equivalent would be, but at least it's something worth eating for those who have a hard time eating out.
