    Single burger, fries, and coke.

Heyday delivered. Although smaller than expected, the burger was tasty and full of flavor. I don't recall requesting "no tomato." Next time I'll make sure to check the food before departing. The fries were really good, too. Nice work Heyday! I'll be back.

Three trays of food are placed on a wooden table, each containing different items. The top tray has a burger with bacon, cheese, and a lemon wedge, along with two small cups of sauce, a fork, and a napkin. The middle tray holds a serving of fries topped with cheese, pickles, onions, and drizzled with sauce. The bottom tray contains a burger with melted cheese and a bun with a slice of cheese on the side. The setting appears to be casual dining.

Great place to come grab a smash burger! A cute place in Walnut Hills. The service was fast and personable. They really give you that crispy outside of the burger while it being juicy on the inside. They have lots of toppings and options to create your own burger. The price wasn't too bad but wish the burger came with fries and not to order as a side. I will be back again for my next smash burger craving!

Looking for a new smash burger spot? Head over to Heyday, just a 5-minute drive from the University of Cincinnati! They're serving up juicy, flavorful burgers with crispy, golden fries that hit the spot every time. The price of two burgers and one fries was pretty steep just a heads up. They also automatically add tip if dining in. The inside does have plenty of seating though. They don't have a designated parking lot but there's a good amount of street parking and a lot nearby.

Outside - The image shows the exterior of Heyday, a restaurant or cafe, with a round sign displaying the name. The building has a stone facade, large glass windows, and a black awning over the entrance. The sidewalk and street are visible, with parked cars and trees, during sunset with a partly cloudy sky.

Bringing this one back up. Had a solid to go order this evening, that was cooked quickly and correctly. The pricing felt more consistent with the quality, particularly because inflation has increased pricing everywhere else and these remained flat. Overall, the food was good and I'm happy I gave them another try.

House burger and side of fries

Heyday delivers on being a no frills smashburger. No more, no less. The restaurant is plainly decorated, but clean and on-brand with their burger joint brand. Service is great, but importantly they charge a 20% fee if you dine-in. We ordered the House burger and a side of fries to-go and it took about 5 minutes. The cashier offered us a drink for free since we effectively ordered a combo meal, which was appreciated. The soda fountain has craft orange cream, black cherry soda, and root beer; we tried the orange cream soda which was delicious but could have been more carbonated. The house burger is a double smash burger with american cheese, shredded lettuce, diced onions, and house sauce served on an untoasted potato-style bun for $11. We both took a bite and had the same immediate reaction: it tasted exactly like a Big Mac. And when you look back at that ingredient list, it is basically identical to the Big Mac. Part of the burger was nicely smashed with some crisp lacy edges, but the other 75% of the meat just tasted like a basic burger. The fries are fried in beef tallow and seasoned nicely with salt and coarse pepper for $4.50. They have a nice outer crunch and tender inside. There is a slightly beefy taste to them from the tallow, but it is subtle. The fries are good, but you don't get a lot (we had exactly 7 fries before taking that picture as we walked home, since we didn't want to pay the 20% dine in fee). Overall, we don't have any big complaints about Heyday but we also don't have anything to rave about. The burger and fries are good but the meal costs $15.50. On top of that, the 20% dine in fee is annoying to say the least. It is always nice to support local business, but when comparing this to our favorite chain burger places (i.e. Five Guys) there is nothing exceptional about Heyday. It was fine, but we're in no hurry to go back, especially if we're picking up the tab.

French fries - A basket filled with French fries seasoned with black pepper is placed on a wooden table. The fries are golden-brown, cut in a thick style, and appear crispy. The basket is lined with parchment paper, and part of a small container of ketchup is visible in the corner of the image.

My husband and I were in Cincinnati and wanted somewhere new to eat. I'm so glad we tried Heyday! The food was delicious and the service was great!! Can't wait to go back!!

BEEF TALLOW FRIES!?! I have been searching for a place to buy fries made with beef tallow and I recently saw hey days instagram post about their fries. I had to get there! We were so happy to discover how much better beef tallow fries taste compared to their vegetable oil fried counterparts, we have started making our own beef tallow fries at home! We ordered fries with a side of special sauce (highly recommend) and two smash burgers! We were impressed and cannot wait to go back!

The image shows two metal trays on a wooden table, each containing a burger, fried chicken bites, and a small container of sauce. The tray in the foreground has a burger with a bun and a beef patty, while the tray in the background has a burger with a bun and a beef patty, along with fried chicken bites and a drink with a straw. Napkins are placed beside the trays, and a person wearing a gray hoodie is partially visible in the background near a window.

Wow what a pleasant find. Wonderful flavorful smash burgers and the tots are tasty too.

Big Boy and loaded fries! - A tray contains a fried chicken steak topped with melted cheese, a portion of loaded fries with jalapeños, cheese, and bacon bits, and a burger with a fried chicken fillet and a bun. In the background, there is a can of Rhinegeist beer and another tray with similar food items, including a burger and fried chicken bites, along with a small container of ketchup.
    Robann P.

Great smash burgers and the loaded fries - chef's kiss! Kid friendly, efficient and warm service, and great music.

The tray features a serving of golden, crispy tater tots in a paper-lined container, a cheeseburger topped with melted cheese, caramelized onions, and beef patty, a slice of soft yellow bread, and a small cup of ketchup for dipping or condiments.

East Walnut Hills has some of my favorite places to eat, and Heyday is no exception. Their simple menu and take on the smash burger is one that is worth the trip for. It was a little pricey for two burgers and sides, but very delicious. I loved the tots, but you get way more fries as a side, so pick based on your level of hunger. The restaurant is tiny, but they do takeout orders if you don't want to stay. They also have free parking next to the building - just look for the signs in the lot! Service was good, though a little slow due to the dinner rush.

But good burger and chicken sandwich. But it is expensive compared to other burger places. The staff is super nice!

Great burgers, fast and friendly service. Build your own burger. Located across from the Growler house and around the corner from Anjou and Woodburn Brewing. Prices were a little high. Keep in mind they automatically add a gratuity so you don't have to add the additional tip.... Unless you want to.... Pay parking in a lot next door or metered street parking.

I would give 2.5 stars for being totally average I don't get why they advertise as a "burger stand". doesn't have that vibe at all. My biggest gripe is there are literally so many rules. like 5-10 different rules written across the menu. like "no abc, no xyz, do this to order, don't do this". so adamant about no substitutions or additions like you literally order from an app just add a dropdown lol. Even on their website they have the "best fries in cincy" thing with 10 stipulations I know they probably get complaints about this but the 20% service fee is so dumb. just pay your employees a normal wage and make tips optional. I was fine with it until we had to seat ourselves, order from a QR code, get our own water, and clean up after ourselves. That's not "burger stand" that's chipotle! If you want to keep carry out prices low, be a ghost kitchen! what is the "service" that requires a 20% fee lol! I'm visiting and live in a city with like 50% higher cost of living and every smashburger/chicken place is cheaper than heyday. To sit outside, I paid $32 for a chicken sandwich, tots, and 2 modelos! we had the chicken sandwich, tots, and smash burger. everything was pretty fine, salted well, nothing special to say. smashburger was a bit too thick and wasn't crispy, it steamed itself. Chicken was crunchy but not much meat and dry, forgot my Mayo Would go back if friends wanted to but I'm indifferent

I don't get to Cincy very often, but I was in town for work and this happened to be the closest bar/restaurant near us downtown that looked decent. Safe to say I got very lucky. The first time I went, I ordered the chili as a starter and a chicken tender platter. And when I tell you I was so happy with both -- I mean it. I love a good chili. I grew up eating it with my grandma, and this one tasted like something she would have made. The cheese and sour cream were perfect. I'm not a huge onion guy, but even those worked well with it. Now here's the catch... it was so good that I literally went back and ordered the exact same thing again. And somehow it was even better the second time. They really outdid themselves on both dishes. One thing I noticed the second time around: I asked for three sauces right away, and they brought them out on a plate with a built-in sauce area. It was actually really convenient -- perfect if you're sharing with people. Now let's talk about the tenders. I'll start by saying I know fried chicken pretty well. Pound for pound, these might honestly be the best chicken tenders in America. The easiest comparison I can give is this: imagine if Cane's and Zaxby's had a kid and named him perfection. That's what these are. Sometimes Cane's can be a little light on seasoning, and sometimes Zaxby's goes a little heavy. These are perfectly in the middle with a great crunch and just the right amount of seasoning. Another thing I really liked about this place is the versatility of it. It feels like the kind of spot where you could do anything -- happy hour with friends, a birthday dinner, a corporate dinner, or even a family night out. I love that kind of diversity in a restaurant. Just 10/10 ambiance. And the staff were incredibly nice and welcoming, which always makes a difference. Honestly, writing this review is making me want to book a flight back to Cincinnati just to eat there again. Wow.

It was noisy, but we were able to still have a nice conversation. We got the pretzels with beer cheese and spicy mustard. The pretzel was soft, beer cheesy is gooey and so good, and the spicy mustard packed a nice punch! Will definitely recommend! I got the BRU Burger; medium well cook Taleggio Cheese, Bacon, Tomato Jam, Caramelized Onion, Chopped Lettuce, Mayo I got the tomato jam on the side because I never had it and wasn't sure if I'll like it and asked for no bun. The server was nice to offer more shredded lettuce or leaf of lettuce for my burger. The burger was well seasoned, cooked perfectly yo my liking, and to my surprise the tomato jam was delicious! Only thing is... it doesn't come with any sides, not even fries!! You'll have to add that as a side if you want fries ($2). There are other side options. Service is super good, food is good, place is clean, cocktails made well. Overall, definitely would be back next time I'm here. Sadly, I devoured my deconstructed burger before a photo could be snapped.

The seating is family style with long tables. You can order via QR codes (meh) or walk up to the side of the bar for food and drink. The manager came around and introduced himself to everyone and was all over the place. Helping in the kitchen, bar, cleaning up etc.. He's definitely an asset because he didn't disappear as the rush started coming in. The inside is nicely decorated and I was digging their Voodoo/skull theme. We settled in and watched the 4pm NFL game on one of the large TV's while chatting with some disappointed Bengals fans and locals. Beer wise they had a nice selection of classic Voodoo brews (we used to get them a lot in the Philly area several years ago), a balance of styles and some newer brews I'd never heard of. If you enjoy the dark side of beer the Where Our Secrets Go Imperial Stout was delicious and thankfully more along the lines of the traditional style Impy Stout. I had an IPA that I can't remember the name of, but it had a nice Belgian yeast/hop twist to it. My son enjoyed their root beer. Food wise the Jumbo Chicken Wings, roasted in house hit the spot, I highly recommend them. I added their Good Vibes BBQ "Sawce", but you can get them dry rubbed or chose from several other "Sawces". The wings were big with fresh meat and the sauce was great. The Pub pretzel we ordered was huge and the good vibes beer cheese complimented it well. The Mr. Pickles Fried Pickles were also a great choice for an app. They were a big portion. My friend had the Chili Mac and my son ordered the Lil Mashburgers - 2 little smashburgers oozing with cheddar & chippies off the kids menu. We ate, had a couple of beers and enjoyed our dinner at Voodoo before we explored more of downtown Cincy. I'll be honest I wanted to avoid BrewDog and Voodoo and experience home grown Cincinnati breweries, but we were really happy we stopped at Voodoo.
