I loved everything about this place, I was in town for a party and saw this place on TikTok. So I had to try it. I love a good hamburger . I got what they described as their BIG BOY in honor of frisch's big boy sandwich. It was amazing. I also tried their French Fries. Food was 10/10. Service was really good! They have some of the best hamburgers and fries that I have ever tried. If you are in the area , please be sure to check out this spot!!!

We finally made it to Heyday after hearing from so many people that the burger is one of the best in Cincinnati. With all the hype, the bar was set pretty high, potentially too high, because it didn't quite live up to expectations. The burger itself was fine, but the "special sauce" was barely noticeable, and the bun felt like a standard store‑bought one that hadn't been toasted or warmed. The contrast of the cold bun against the hot burger was a bit disappointing. On the bright side, the fries were actually quite good, crispy, well‑seasoned, and the highlight of the meal. Overall, we left underwhelmed. It's an average burger paired with pretty good fries, but not quite the standout experience we were hoping for given all the buzz.

Better Boy burger, tater tots, and an ice cold local beer. Perfect.

Is there a better kind of hamburger beef than Avril's? I don't think so. And making that beef into a Frisch's Big Boy replicant that is good to scarf down, add hot tater tots cooked just right and an ICE cold Rhinegeist House Cat Pils, all of which is served quickly and with a great bit of conversation, and that is all that matters. Home town good. Parking in the lot next door, plenty of tables in and out. Hard to beat!! Cozy, diner-like ambiance and wonderful service.

Looking for a new smash burger spot? Head over to Heyday, just a 5-minute drive from the University of Cincinnati! They're serving up juicy, flavorful burgers with crispy, golden fries that hit the spot every time. The price of two burgers and one fries was pretty steep just a heads up. They also automatically add tip if dining in. The inside does have plenty of seating though. They don't have a designated parking lot but there's a good amount of street parking and a lot nearby.

Great place to come grab a smash burger! A cute place in Walnut Hills. The service was fast and personable. They really give you that crispy outside of the burger while it being juicy on the inside. They have lots of toppings and options to create your own burger. The price wasn't too bad but wish the burger came with fries and not to order as a side. I will be back again for my next smash burger craving!

Heyday delivered. Although smaller than expected, the burger was tasty and full of flavor. I don't recall requesting "no tomato." Next time I'll make sure to check the food before departing. The fries were really good, too. Nice work Heyday! I'll be back.

Bringing this one back up. Had a solid to go order this evening, that was cooked quickly and correctly. The pricing felt more consistent with the quality, particularly because inflation has increased pricing everywhere else and these remained flat. Overall, the food was good and I'm happy I gave them another try.

House burger and side of fries

Heyday delivers on being a no frills smashburger. No more, no less. The restaurant is plainly decorated, but clean and on-brand with their burger joint brand. Service is great, but importantly they charge a 20% fee if you dine-in. We ordered the House burger and a side of fries to-go and it took about 5 minutes. The cashier offered us a drink for free since we effectively ordered a combo meal, which was appreciated. The soda fountain has craft orange cream, black cherry soda, and root beer; we tried the orange cream soda which was delicious but could have been more carbonated. The house burger is a double smash burger with american cheese, shredded lettuce, diced onions, and house sauce served on an untoasted potato-style bun for $11. We both took a bite and had the same immediate reaction: it tasted exactly like a Big Mac. And when you look back at that ingredient list, it is basically identical to the Big Mac. Part of the burger was nicely smashed with some crisp lacy edges, but the other 75% of the meat just tasted like a basic burger. The fries are fried in beef tallow and seasoned nicely with salt and coarse pepper for $4.50. They have a nice outer crunch and tender inside. There is a slightly beefy taste to them from the tallow, but it is subtle. The fries are good, but you don't get a lot (we had exactly 7 fries before taking that picture as we walked home, since we didn't want to pay the 20% dine in fee). Overall, we don't have any big complaints about Heyday but we also don't have anything to rave about. The burger and fries are good but the meal costs $15.50. On top of that, the 20% dine in fee is annoying to say the least. It is always nice to support local business, but when comparing this to our favorite chain burger places (i.e. Five Guys) there is nothing exceptional about Heyday. It was fine, but we're in no hurry to go back, especially if we're picking up the tab.

Smash burgers and basket of beef tallow fries!

When my friend and I walked in, we were greeted by such a sweet staff who immediately welcomed us in, shared their thoughts on the menu (since we were first-timers), and suggested we leave a review (they were so lovely, so how could we not!) The entire restaurant feels like the diner Sam worked at in Cinderella Story from the early 2000s - very vintage, very retro, very 50s! It's what I imagine restaurants looking like when my grandparents went on dates when they were my age. I had gotten the tofu nugs via DoorDash, which were better IRL and the milkshake was scrumptious too! My friend got the Milkman Burger, fries, and a fruity pebbles shake. It was all great but let me tell ya...we had this meal almost two weeks ago and I'm STILL dreaming of those French fries. I have had so many iterations of fried potato before...shoestring, steak, wedges, sweet potato, those made from yuca, curly, dipped in ice cream, etc. and these are the best fries I've had in my life. If I could live off the fries, I would. They were that good. I already have plans to share this place with other friends of mine as it has officially worked its way into the rotation for me!

They were serving parties of different sizes indoors and out on a patio area. I had an impossible burger and fries which were both really good. They had good iced tea, too. The highlight of the whole experience for me, though, was my server Lanay. She was delightful. She was engaging, welcoming, and personable throughout. She was patient and easygoing, but she also had a lot of feedback and advice on the menu options. She checked on me regularly throughout my leisurely meal without ever making me feel rushed. I thoroughly enjoyed our interactions throughout the evening. She was a really excellent server and I hope the restaurant knows it. When I'm in that area again, this will make my list of options.

I don't get to Cincy very often, but I was in town for work and this happened to be the closest bar/restaurant near us downtown that looked decent. Safe to say I got very lucky. The first time I went, I ordered the chili as a starter and a chicken tender platter. And when I tell you I was so happy with both -- I mean it. I love a good chili. I grew up eating it with my grandma, and this one tasted like something she would have made. The cheese and sour cream were perfect. I'm not a huge onion guy, but even those worked well with it. Now here's the catch... it was so good that I literally went back and ordered the exact same thing again. And somehow it was even better the second time. They really outdid themselves on both dishes. One thing I noticed the second time around: I asked for three sauces right away, and they brought them out on a plate with a built-in sauce area. It was actually really convenient -- perfect if you're sharing with people. Now let's talk about the tenders. I'll start by saying I know fried chicken pretty well. Pound for pound, these might honestly be the best chicken tenders in America. The easiest comparison I can give is this: imagine if Cane's and Zaxby's had a kid and named him perfection. That's what these are. Sometimes Cane's can be a little light on seasoning, and sometimes Zaxby's goes a little heavy. These are perfectly in the middle with a great crunch and just the right amount of seasoning. Another thing I really liked about this place is the versatility of it. It feels like the kind of spot where you could do anything -- happy hour with friends, a birthday dinner, a corporate dinner, or even a family night out. I love that kind of diversity in a restaurant. Just 10/10 ambiance. And the staff were incredibly nice and welcoming, which always makes a difference. Honestly, writing this review is making me want to book a flight back to Cincinnati just to eat there again. Wow.

If you're leaving the…read morestadium area it's a 20 minute walk with some uphill, but well worth the trek to get ahead of the crowds. The bars near the stadium were mobbed. The seating is family style with long tables. You can order via QR codes (meh) or walk up to the side of the bar for food and drink. The manager came around and introduced himself to everyone and was all over the place. Helping in the kitchen, bar, cleaning up etc.. He's definitely an asset because he didn't disappear as the rush started coming in. The inside is nicely decorated and I was digging their Voodoo/skull theme. We settled in and watched the 4pm NFL game on one of the large TV's while chatting with some disappointed Bengals fans and locals. Beer wise they had a nice selection of classic Voodoo brews (we used to get them a lot in the Philly area several years ago), a balance of styles and some newer brews I'd never heard of. If you enjoy the dark side of beer the Where Our Secrets Go Imperial Stout was delicious and thankfully more along the lines of the traditional style Impy Stout. I had an IPA that I can't remember the name of, but it had a nice Belgian yeast/hop twist to it. My son enjoyed their root beer. Food wise the Jumbo Chicken Wings, roasted in house hit the spot, I highly recommend them. I added their Good Vibes BBQ "Sawce", but you can get them dry rubbed or chose from several other "Sawces". The wings were big with fresh meat and the sauce was great. The Pub pretzel we ordered was huge and the good vibes beer cheese complimented it well. The Mr. Pickles Fried Pickles were also a great choice for an app. They were a big portion. My friend had the Chili Mac and my son ordered the Lil Mashburgers - 2 little smashburgers oozing with cheddar & chippies off the kids menu. We ate, had a couple of beers and enjoyed our dinner at Voodoo before we explored more of downtown Cincy. I'll be honest I wanted to avoid BrewDog and Voodoo and experience home grown Cincinnati breweries, but we were really happy we stopped at Voodoo. Thanks guys you earned a fourth star for great friendly service from the manager and bartenders!!

I am still dreaming about the pork belly skewers. We had a reservation for our party, so we were seated quickly. The inside of this old church is very sleek, modern, and clean. It is more upscale in feeling than other breweries in the area. We ordered the pork belly skewers, cheese curds, squash croquettes, and jalapeno poppers as appetizers for the table. The pork belly skewers are probably one of the greatest things I have ever eaten, as i said above. The squash croquettes are so different and so good as well. The cheese curds are standard and sure to please a crowd. And lastly, the jalapeno poppers were not for me. They stuff theirs with chicken, not cream cheese, and that flavor combo with the super smokey bacon wrapped around it did nothing for me. If you are more of a carnivore though you would probably love it. I got the chicken marinara sandwich and split a side of the brussels sprouts with a friend. The sandwich was huge! It looked much larger than some of the other plates people got. The marinara had great flavor, the cheese was fresh, and the chicken was perfectly cooked. I was so stuffed from my appetizers that I only ate half the sandwich. The sprouts were also very well done and the cheese/sauce on them was so so good. We ended the meal, even though we were all so full, with their citrus olive oil cake. Now some people find that name off-putting, but let me tell you as someone who loves baking, this cake is one of the best desserts I have ever had in my life. It is so light, with the perfect amount of citrus, and the fresh whipped cream is so delicious. It truly is a perfect dessert and I would go back only for that. Overall we had a great dinner here and left so stuffed that we all went home to lay down. The beer is also good but I would go for the food before anything else.
