I can give this place a solid 4. I tried it for the first time about a month ago and have been back an additional three times. I don't like thick, rare burgers, so these burgers are right up my alley. They are a good size and delicious, as are the fries. A few people are mentioning the "high" prices, but I think they are fair. $14 for a combo (burger, fries, and soft drink). I would much rather buy a great tasting burger from a small restaurant than give my money to big-time chain burger places and receive mediocre food. The customer service has also been very good every time I visit. I have only gotten taken out, but the food is super fresh and tasty. I would highly recommend trying this place out. read more

From the Customer Service to sitting down to the fresh cut french fries not to mention that they also have freshly made orange cream soda OMG it was such delightful. Finally made it over to Heyday. I really enjoyed the house burger. I normally am an extra saucy gal but wanted to try the burger as it comes. Still would have wanted to extra sauce but it was still really goood. My only complaint about the burgers would be the bun. A steamed bun or lightly griddled top would've been my only suggestion. The patties were seasoned, crisp edges, hot... a perfect little burger. The fries were good, too; fried in beef tallow and seasoned as well. The service was really great, too. Luckily, they're a bit out the way for me so I won't frequent but will return for sure. read more

Solid burger and sides (highly recommend the tater tots, delightfully crisp, fries also good). We came in on a Friday about 5:30, and was quickly seated. This place is smaller in size, so there can be a wait during peak meal times. I enjoyed the sauce on the burger and may try the smash burger next time. read more

I never leave reviews, but this was one of the worst service experiences I've ever had in my life. We walked in with our 2 year old son and grabbed a table. The waiter said he would "hopefully be with us in 2024". We sat at our table for 20 minutes with our son on our laps because high chairs were in the back and no one offered us one or came over for us to ask for one. We didn't receive waters or even menus, and watched our waiter take a to go order for a group of six who walked in after we were seated without acknowledging us at all. After more than twenty minutes sitting there, having googled the menu so we could be ready to order when we were finally served, we gave up and walked out. Got there tonight at 6 and the place was empty. We left at 7 and someone was waiting for our table to open. This place is delicious. We each had the house burger, he had tots, I had fries. Perfect, perfect. They have huge containers of Duke's Mayo (best ever) to show what's in their special sauce. The beignets made me rethink my other experiences with them in NOLA. Light, crispy, fluffy, and filled with chocolate. So good! We will be back. This is not a cheap eats place - employees make a living wage here. I came here after a short binge drinking experience on the main strip near this place. When I arrived I have to say I wasn't expecting much because frankly the bar is low for food in this area. To my surprise when I arrived not only did they have "regular" sounding menu items but they had a special that included the house burger, fries and a beer. Imagine a whopper with the charbroil and a Big Mac with the Fixin's but better ingredients, hand made patties and much better customer service. This is one of those spots I would definitely come back to because it's really hard to find good burger joints without going to Northern Kentucky or Norwood....AND, this burger deal is undefeated! This is my new favorite burger place! Very small dining room, about six tables plus a few seats at the counter and as small outside patio. Almost has a 20th century diner vibe. You can choose house burger, which comes with American cheese, onion, pickle, lettuce and special sauce or build your own. I got the house burger and would get the exact same thing next time, Delicious! We split a a plate of fries but can definitely have split a side for 2 people. Beer on tap and cans. No milk or coffee with the limited pie selection? An attempt at a Shake Shack style burger that has limp lettuce and a weird sauce? The final straw was the poor customer service. The woman at the counter was disinterested, never asked if we were dining in or out and just asked us what we wanted with indifference and got us out the door. Tried Heyday after it's grand opening in Walnut Hills and I have nothing but good things to say. A super simple menu done extremely well. I had the impossible burger, which was the best I've ever had. The house sauce is magical, and the fries are delicious- perfectly crispy and seasoned. The inside is small and simple, just like the menu and the staff was friendly and super helpful. The place was packed but we still received excellent service and an overall 10/10 experience. I dont like when restaurants serve too much food because that is just wasteful, but with Heyday, I walked out after eating a combo and was still hungry. My ten year old who never cleans his plate or even finishes a meal ate his entire combo (not the kid combo, I am so glad we didn't order the kid combo as Im assuming it was even less food than the regular combo). Finally, we asked for no lettuce or onion on one of the burgers and we were told there can be no changes to the combo. We were given the offer to "build our own burger" which would not be a combo. I can understand no additions to the burger but they can't take the lettuce off? C'mon! When we got the burgers, the lettuce was all chopped up; I'd much prefer a nice crisp leaf of lettuce than chopped up bits. To wrap up: burger and fries tasted great. I mean, really good. Portions are very small. Prices are pretty dang high for the serving size and they won't take lettuce off the burger. Ill probably go back. Eventually. I first moved to East Walnut Hills a little over a year ago and tried Heyday for the first time the other day. It was delicious but way too overpriced. Also, I ordered online and was expecting to pick it up on my way home from work but apparently they don't start making your order until you get here. I was very disappointed with the food and price. I ordered food while at growler house and there was such a large service fee for them to walk it across the street and get a tip. We got a burger, fries, chicken sandwich, and chill cheese fries and it was almost 60 dollars. The chicken sandwich was inedible. It was a bad piece of chicken that should have been thrown out. It was hard and chewy and was super disappointing. The fries were pretty good. They charge a dollar for one tomato slice to add to a sandwich which is way too much. Very disappointed. read more

Love this place! Simple menu, delicious and approachable food, great beer. What's not to like? Have done takeout twice, eaten there three times and had a good experience throughout. I've been cutting back on meat so I opt for the impossible smash burger lately (I've had both the regular and impossible versions at Hey Day--both are yummy) and it's pretty perfect. Satisfying and prepared just the way their real meat version is prepared. I mix up the toppings but keeping it simple is my go to--special sauce, lettuce, pickles, onions, tomato. The pickled ramps on the tots are a delicious option I've never really had anywhere else. Highly recommend them and, well, everything! read more
