Double Bacon Cheeseburger through the garden

Great diner that's been in business for many years with great service, sandwiches and kept clean. Thay also work hard to service and get you your meals out for those who are on their lunch breaks.

Pass this place a lot but never been until opening day morning we decided to stop and eat before heading to the parade. The service was 1000% top notch we were with our 12 month old daughter and they treated her like an absolute princess. The food was simple yet great, this will forever be on our list of hidden gems and we will continue to visit whenever downtown. Forewarning they are cash only, but an atm about a block away if needed. The place offered a cozy diner feel and the real winner is the excellent staff that treat you like you're at home!

We ordered ahead on a Thursday at lunchtime. The place wasn't super busy and we were helped quickly. Interior is super dated but it's a nostalgic kind of feeling. Food was great but they only took cash.

The service was speedy. My sandwich tasted great! The bacon was crisp and the tomato was fresh. The pickles were an upcharge but weren't great. They were standard pickle slices and not crunchy. I chose the rye bread which was a nice change. It was a nice. full and tasty double decker. They also serve double decker hamburgers which looked good.

This was a little diner style restaurant in the heart of downtown Cincinnati. It's open for breakfast and lunch but not for dinner. They committed my cardinal sin of not having everything listed on their menu as they didn't have their bbq sandwich that I wanted to try. The service was okayish and they only take cash so keep that in mind. Anyway here's the food review.... Grilled Bacon And Cheese Sandwich And Fries What Is It: Exactly what it says. Nothing more nothing less. Presentation: Pretty basic plating as it's hard to have a fancy presentation with a sandwich and fries. Good enough. 6 out of 10 Taste/ Final Analysis: This was a good take on the classic grilled cheese. They put tons of bacon on here which is good. It was cooked right and had decent flavour. They used mostly swiss cheese and I think they may have had some American on there too although I'm not sure about the latter. The fries were pretty stock and one's you could get anywhere. It was a good sandwich and not a terrible restaurant although it doesn't have anything that jumps off the page at me. Thumbs squarely in the middle for this place. Grilled Bacon And Cheese Sandwich: 6.5 out of 10

I've never been here before but when it's free count me in. YES I AM A FOOD LOADER!!! PROBLEM? Lol! Back to what I was saying... My foreman said lunch was on him at the Red Fox Grill. While working he looked in the window and noticed there BLT sandwich, I guess he had to have it. I had an ELT, it was banging, and I know his sandwich had nothing on mine. Bacon is just disgusting! It shouldn't exist! Shoot for the ELT Yelpers, trust me!

Here's what you need to know: It's cash-only There are so many tables that you can expect immediate seating They offer carry-out If you're a vegetarian, just keep walking. While the restaurant is clean and the service is friendly, I ultimately left feeling disappointed. There is so much potential that seems to be squandered by lackluster food. The menu can be graciously described as your choice of prison food. In fact, I doubt the offerings have been updated since the last remodel of the restaurant (I'm guessing late 1980's...). This is not a place for those with discriminating taste - those who don't like relish in their egg salad - or those inclined toward healthier options. Although I can think of better ways to spend your money, it is relatively inexpensive and you don't have to guess at any of the words on the menu. If you're the type of guy who doesn't pack his lunch, doesn't like to try new things, and wants nothing more than a greasy hamburger with fries, I think you've met your match.

Family Run business delivers tasty diner food with consistently good quality. I like the BLT, or 2-3-4 burger.

Wow! What a way to spend our 1 year wedding anniversary! I loved this place…read more It has been a few months since eating here but I still find myself thinking about it. Our next trip to Cincinnati; It will be extremely difficult to stay away from here. We spent the day in Newport and around Cincinnati and wanted somewhere nice for the occasion. I was iffy on this place at first... you can throw a rock all over America and hit a place with 'Barrel' in the name these days. The Yelp reviews swing both ways here but I'm here to tell you my take... because it swings so far towards the 5 stars that it's very much a 6 or 7 star place(maybe more). We gauged our arrival time based on other activities that day. We wanted ample time at the nearby Lego exhibit so when we arrived there, we made a reservation for 4:30-5. Eating early and making our way back to Louisville was a great idea. The entire time we were there, no one else came in so we had the entire place to ourselves(It was a Friday). The atmosphere is homey but during busy times, I could see it being noisy. The booths could easily fit 6 people comfortably... probably 8 in some cases depending on how wide some of you are. Special Note: This place highlights The Parrillada Experience for Two on their menu and we wanted it! We didn't order it because at a price tag of 130-and pictures online, we didn't want it to be a failed outing. After our first trip, The Parrillada Exp will be on the agenda next time. It's a mixture of different steaks, sausages, shrimp, sides, and salads. Definitely worth the cost. On to the food: Sausage App - Argentine Chorizo. Farmhouse Sausage. Grilled Ciabatta. Hearts of Palm. Green/Red chimichurri. Pepper Relish. I don't like ordering this type of dish when I go places because you never know if it's going to be delicious or very bad. It ended up being super delicious. We couldn't make up our mind which sauce we liked the best and which meat we liked the best. App PERFECTION! Land and Sea - This is what my wife went with. Asada Skirt Steak. Jumbo Shrimp. Asparagus. Red chimichurri butter. I had bites of the shrimp and it was good. I had to save room for my dish. Wagyu Denver Cut - I went back and forth. Lobster ravioli being on the menu almost made my decision instant but I was going back and forth between ravioli, steak, and a few other things. I asked the server which he recommended of the 4 Chef's cuts. He recommended two... one of which was the Wagyu so I went with it. I wasn't disappointed AT ALL. He mentioned that the Wagyu Denver Cut was a new addition to the menu... I'm not sure but you could definitely tell it was cooked, arranged, and presented with care. I savored every angle of every bite. We also ordered a side of brussels because of course! Originally we were going to dessert somewhere else but went ahead and ordered the Hazelnut Vanilla Creme Brulee here. Perfect ending to the meal. This brulee was light and had the right amount of crunch. It was also larger than expected. We had no complaints with this place. Easily one of the better restaurants I've had in Cincinnati. If you're doubting visiting this place, take the dive! Other notes: They have beer and a small cocktail variety but they primarily seem focused on wine(plenty of options to choose from).

I love this place!! The atmosphere is so comfortable and cozy and the service is top notch…read more So lets talk about food My hubby got a steak which he loved I got the salmon with a avocado chimichurri and potatoes It was the best I have eaten They also made the best dirty martini I have ever had What a wonderful dining experience
