Good selection of beers. Sturdy outdoor picnic tables, some outside and a bunch in an open air covered space in case the weather is threatening. My rating is for the service, and mini golf / driving range only as I didn't get food - when I come back and try the food, I will update my review. This place has tons of parking which is free. The pricing for mini golf was really good better than anywhere else - unlimited and two different 18-hole courses (I will say the courses itself could use an upgrade - new paint or adding some objects to the course to make the established holes a bit more challenging. We paid 9 dollars per person. The driving range was also pretty cheap for buckets of balls - it would be a fun afternoon to bring the dads for driving range, the kids for mini golf and the moms can eat food and hang or enjoy the range as well. The food looked good, but we did not partake - the drinks were decently well priced - a can of beer 3.50 - a sway was 6 bucks. They have free concerts every now and then at their art installation, which is pretty cool, I also think it's cool how they do 5 buck Mondays. The staff was nice enough, my only complaint is the grass was a little overgrown, so we got ate up with chiggers and skeeters. read more

It's been a year since we've been here and we decided to come back and play putt putt and try the food this time. What a fun place! We love the addition of the covered seating. The plants and decor make for a nice vibe. The place was hopping- lots of groups eating, drinking, at the driving range, and playing putt putt. It is still a steal with $9 all you can play putt putt. The Acres is one of our family favorites. We often stop here after our kids events to sit outside, enjoy dinner good eats, and some family fun. The service is always great and we don't have to wait long after ordering to get our food. Everything on the menu is great so I don't necessarily have a favorite. But this last time when we stopped in, I had the smoked chicken salad Sandwich and boy oh boy was I surprised. Not only was it a tasty sandwich, but the chicken was really smoked! The flavors came through so good that I honestly intended on snapping a picture but couldn't stop after the first bite. They've recently added an enchanted lighted forest for the evenings, I can't wait to stop in and check it out. I've eaten here several times in the last couple of months. Food is absolutely delicious. Great burgers, the beef stew (a temporary item) was just like mom used to make which put a huge smile on my face. Chili was also a huge hit with my brother. Service was awesome, even when they are slammed. The kitchen can turn those orders so wait is kept as short as possible. The owners made a great little eating spot right in the middle of their golf driving range/putt putt/outdoor winter walking area. They strived to make this a great experience. Was thrifting next door when I started craving a burger. The Acres came up and showed they had a little restaurant. I drove next door and it looked like it offered a lot more than just a driving range. There's a huge play / chill forest area, I saw put put, driving range, who knows what else. But I had my eyes set on the food. Parking lot was busy but walked into a almost empty bar, there was a little kitchen setup but in a cool homemade hipster way. Chef was a cool dude and let me know I placed my order with the bartender, who also was a cool dude. Tried a sample of the house ipa (review on untapped) got a pint of it and waited patiently for my burger. A lot of people came in and out ordering food, getting a beer, closing their tab, it wasn't dead by any means, but the bar only had 10 seats or so and I was the only one besides one guy and his son. I'm sure most people sit outside. Anyway, the burger came out and it was fire. Pretty good burger I'd say, the sauce tasted good but didn't blow me away. Most places offer and single and double, double here is $15 and I got fries so idk if that was added on or came with it, the bill one just the total. I usually get the double now off the rip because chances are the ratio is better like that and in this case I was right. Came out looking good. The bun could have been a little crispier in the center, but I get that's how it is with flap top sometimes. The set up was nice though and flavor was great. Just not my favorite burger ever. Fries were great, crispy and salty, like McDonald's, just not as much. For $15 and potentially added fries I'd say 12-13 sounds more reasonable but I'd come back forsure to try the games and new food items! read more

My Mr. has been wanting to play mini golf for almost a year but time has slipped us by. I've googled so many places but was not impressed of what I found. The only mini golf I've been to is The Fairfield Fun Center many years back and enjoyed it. I wanted to go somewhere different. My Mr. mentioned this place. He saw it on Instagram. Definitely interested! We went on an early Saturday afternoon. They serve food. VERY small menu but what they serve is simple yet delicious. Sandwiches, Salads, Hot dogs, Pretzels and kids menu. Drink menu has a good selection as well. Cocktails, Mocktails, craft beers on tap and refrigerated canned beers. Many to choose from. I ordered the loaded tots with and paired it with a Pilsner beer from North Coast Brewing. My Mr ordered the All beef kraut hot dog and paired it with a Pilsner Krombacher (imported from Germany). The food was amazing! Couldn't wait to play mini golf after that. You can keep your tab open and get drinks throughout the day. We got Coors light beer while playing. They do mini golf and driving range. The place is so big you can enjoy drinks at their patios and lounge chairs outside. Patio chairs are spread throughout. I've seen customers just do that or just have lunch. The place is so laid back and very relaxing. What made me a fan is the landscaping and how they keep the place clean/maintained. We got a score card and you can play 2 courses of 18 holes. Best part, UNLIMITED! That's a bargain and the pricing is reasonable. Some were difficult and tricky but it's all in fun. I'm definitely a geek who loves mini-golf. I have since I was a kid. Though these days you don't see many mini-gold places outside of the Gatlinburg-Pigeon Forge area. That is until I saw a post about The Acres on Instagram and knew my lady and I had to go. 36 holes of mini-golf, a driving range, plus a nice food menu and libations. That says all win to me. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. We decided to have lunch before hitting the mini-golf. The bar/dining area isn't huge on the inside but does have LOTS of outdoor seating and a couple shaded spots when it's a little too hot. The staff were all super friendly and attentive. After perusing their menu for a bit, we decided to get the loaded tots, an all beef kraut hot dog, and a side of fries as well as two brews (a Krombacher Pilsner for me and a North Coast Scrimshaw Pilsner for me lady). Their can beer selection is nice plus they have more selections on draft. They also have wine and a full bar. We didn't wait long at all before our food was ready and everything was good. For the mini-golf, you buy your games at the bar and it's unlimited play for $10 a person for adults, so you can play as much as you want. Once you walk out of the back of the bar, one course is to the left and the other is to the right. Both are fun and pretty challenging for any skill level. As for the scores, my lady won the first course, and I won the second course. I could absolutely see us going back again for another round of both mini-golf and libations. I could even see hitting the driving range in the near future. I really like this spot. read more

Such a great place. 18 holes on either side, which helps with the flow of the game. The courses were straightforward which I didn't mind. They have a water fountain for refilling water bottles as there is zero shade except for if you are dining/drinking outside. The price was right and it's unlimited mini golf. This place rocks! I have driven by this place ever since I was a kid, but only recently found out that it had been rejuvenated. Great place for the kids and adults with old school putt-putt that is old, a cool covered driving range, alongside great food and drinks! The owner, Todd, seems to not only have a cool vision to re-invigorate the place to be more than just a range...but also kept the spirit of the old place. What an amazing place! We visited on a Friday mid-day to play putt-putt. They have two 18 hole courses, one a tiny bit more challenging than the other. This is old school putt-putt, no waterfalls or animals, just straight up strategy. After putt-putt, we had the most delicious chicken sandwich (pro tip: you can have them make it spicy). I'm already plotting how to go back to try more of the menu. The owner (Todd) is onsite and very accommodating. He gave us a whole tour and history. I particulary enjoyed the Mill Creek view and picnic tables. This is a great remake of a classic spot. We will be back. read more

This is the old Etter's that has been remodeled and a small restaurant and bar added. We're so glad to see that this place has been revitalized! We live nearby and have used the driving range many times over the years. It had been rundown for a long time and seeing it remodeled is really awesome! We've been to The Acres a few times but I waited to write this review until after a few visits. Mainly because our first visit was right after they opened and they were working out some kinks. That visit for us had a pretty big snafu in that my grandson was served raw chicken. The management promptly handled it and the rest of food was great. A Burger for my husband - that he said was really, really good - and a Spicy Chicken sandwich for me, that I also enjoyed. Last night we stopped in for some burgers and fries - and beer for my husband. The burger was really tasty! Perfectly cooked and seasoned. The fries with added beef fat are delicious! I highly recommend adding the beef fat to the fries, you won't regret it. My husband said that he thinks they have a good selection of beer also. They have beer on tap, as well as a selection cans/bottles in a cooler. I also noticed liquor on the shelf behind the bar, so I'll have to try a cocktail sometime. They also have an Heirloom Tomato sandwich and a Chopped Cheese sandwich on their menu that sound really good and I'm looking forward to trying both of them. Oh, and the Loaded Tots sound yummy too! The one thing that we noticed on every visit that we don't like is the number of unsupervised young children whacking balls around while their parents sit at the tables and eat and drink. It was definitely an issue last night as golf balls came flying at us from a very young child who was playing while his parents drank beer in the shade. The second ball to come flying flew right past my husbands head and straight towards my face. I ducked and the ball bounced off our table. Unnerved, we then moved to a different table to wait for our food. But as we ate - as with our previous visits - we noticed that it seems to be a fairly common occurrence that the mini golf is acting as a sort of 'babysitter' for the drinking parents. It makes it difficult to play through ( as we experienced ourselves previously and as we witnessed again last night) and it makes it dangerous when golf balls are flying around from unsupervised toddlers. read more

I can't say enough good things about The Acres. Two days before my spouse's 59th grade school reunion, our place cancelled. The owner/managing partner stepped right up and reserved tables for the 30 people we expected. They brought additional tables from somewhere and even drilled holes in the tables to accommodate umbrellas for some shade. Food is not fancy but it's fresh and good with a small bar. Went here on a Monday evening around 6pm planning to have a birthday dinner for my son, because he started to have an interest in golf. So I figured we would play mini golf, and hit a couple of balls on the range. When we arrived the restaurant was closed because "they were busy over the weekend" Really? You are a business! Most restaurants are busy on the weekend! So we had to order take out pizza from down the road and bring it over while the kids hit a couple buckets of balls. They placed a sign on the doors of the restaurant saying if you needed a drink go to the pro shop. So we went to the pro shop asking for a couple drinks and the manager had to escort us back to the restaurant to unlock the door so we can get a drink. Once we paid they lock the door behind us and we had to walk back to the pro shop. Too much back and forth, and a poorly ran business. Very disappointed, We will not be going back. read more
