The fries are tasty, but I can see why some people say they're over seasoned/salted. The grilled cheese is a fantastic mix of gooey cheeses. The Mac and cheese was good, not great, and has kind of a crazy amount of black pepper in it. The tomato soup is good, but spicy. Like spicy enough that they should probably note that, since kids and some people will freak out. The pickles, also crazy hot and spicy, and they should definitely note that somewhere. It's a very cozy little diner and the decor is fun. The games and puzzles are a nice addition. Parking is easy, as there's street parking and a parking lot across the street. read more

Came here for lunch and loved it! Laid back atmosphere and very attentive staff. They had games at each table that you could play. I got the $12 burger deal (comes with fries and a drink) and my husband got the famous bowl. Both were 10/10. The burger was fresh, pickles are house made and the sauce was so good. My family and I went here to eat this past weekend. My mother was visiting from out of town and wanted to try a local place. The places we usually go were closed so we went here hoping to find something new. The place seemed a bit more expensive than your usual diner but that was fine as long as the food was good, and it was, until my mom found a hair in her food. I very discreetly walked up to the counter and explained the situation to the woman at the grill (who's hair had two curls hanging out on either side of her hat which were swinging over the food as she made it). I calmly said "I'm not trying to be a dick but it was a 15 dollar hamburger and she only got to eat half of it so is there any chance I could get some sort of a refund or anything of that nature. She then caught a huge attitude with us, pointing her finger and saying it wasn't any of their hair, fighting back tears and raising her voice "I think it's your hair" as she jabbed a finger in my direction. She took what was an annoying but pretty common situation and made a huge scene. It was a crazy display of unprofessionalism and a crazy lack of emotional regulation. I'll probably get a comment from them on this post saying this didn't happen or perhaps publicly cussing me out like they have other people who give them anything other than praise but that was my experience. Biked to Northside from downtown Cincinnati this morning and stopped for a bite at a lovely little spot in the neighborhood. Had the burger and fries--decent though the burger was just a bit too salty this time, and the fry seasoning could use a slight tweak. That said, they're so close to having one of the best burgers in all of Cincinnati. Outstanding service, super friendly team, beautiful interior, and the air conditioning is perfect on a hot day. Great first time to this New dinner in Northside. Service was quick and the food was amazing! I had the cheesesteak sandwich with was awesome but the seasoning on the fries was out of this world! My buddy got their grippos chicken sandwich special. Yes it's breaded in grippos then deep fried. Looked as good as he said it was. Wow. If you have not tried the Park Diner hold onto your hat. The restaurant looks exactly like it states- a diner. There is cold case right in front that connects to a long counter with bar stools. Cute tables fill the perimeter. The cold case offers canned beverages, ah-mazing desserts and other things I am forgetting. A long shiny grill is on the other side of the counter- which is where a lot of the magic happens. Jessica is the creative artist in the group (yep we go there often enough to know names) and makes delicious specials like cabbage soup and chicken poblano soup. Adam serves up the dishes with skill and Sophie will make you feel at home when you come up front to order. The burgers are amazing here. We usually get the special which is a smash burger with cheese, sautéed onions, and special sauce. The special comes with a drink and crispy and well seasoned fries (no ketchup needed). There are other options like 3 way chili, cheesesteak, Mac and cheese and much more. There are many vegetarian and vegan options. The soups and the specials I have had here are a 10/10. Highly recommended. They also have carry out and I think they are on delivery apps. read more

I wasn't going to post a review but felt inclined to do so. I've been to this establishment quite a few times. I love the Cubano and the burger deal can't be beat! My last experience left much to be desired however. My husband and I came in last Saturday after hearing about their reuben special. We entered and the place was busy but not packed. We were greeted by Liz who has served as before and is such a sweetheart. Unfortunately, Liz was the only positive aspect of the experience. The man on the grill was complaining about people ordering and was talking over Liz as she was explain to us that there was a longer wait time than normal for items off the grill. When Liz was giving us a timeframe for two reubens, the guy on the grill interrupted her and quoted a time double to what she was saying (she said 30 minutes and he said an hour). You could tell she was annoyed but tried to still help us by offering items with a shorter wait time like the chicken nuggies or the crispy chicken sandwich. What was interesting was that with all the AUDIBLE complaining from this man on the grill I couldn't see anything actually being cooked on the grill at the moment (unsure if there was a maintenance issue or something). We opted for Liz's recommendations of the crispy chicken sandwich and nuggies and as an apology for the cook, she comped two diet cokes. While we were disappointed to not get our reubens, the chicken sandwich was good. We sat at the counter and unfortunately heard a poor interaction where Liz was obviously trying to calm the water and offered to take over the grill for a bit to which the cook declined. She then offered to slice more beef for the reubens so he could get some tickets out. Before he said anything she dashed to the back to which I heard him call her a "f***ing idiot" as soon as she left. One person arrives to the diner and goes to the register to order and the cook asks the guy at the prep station to get Liz (I don't know why neither of them could handle that one person's order? Still nothing on the grill yet). Liz comes back with a lot of beef sliced and gets right back to her station to which I hear the cook say "I can't f***ing do this. I'm giving pogo my two weeks". As someone who also works in the service industry, I totally understand when it's a rush and stress is high, but don't be a jerk to your coworker who's trying to help and DON'T COMPLAIN WHERE CUSTOMERS CAN HEAR. I will be coming back but hopefully just on a day where this cook isn't working. Five stars to Liz and the guy working the prep station! He was super sweet and was great with a kid sitting at the counter! read more

This diner is the 90s heartthrob of diners. And it's as if Jeff Goldblum himself did the decor, right down to the adorable little plastic dinosaurs. There are tons of vintage toys and games to play while you wait for your food (Etch-A-Sketch, anyone?) but the wait is never long and always worth it. Service is super friendly. The menu is what makes it worth the trip, though. Everything is just a little extra, in the best way. The husband and I agree the pickles here are excellent. They come on most sandwiches and once you try them you'll want to order them as a side. Speaking of sides. We love to split a Side Flight where you can order four sides for $15. We tried the mac and cheese, fries, Korean potato salad and coleslaw. All were excellent but my favorite was the potato salad. My husband's favorite entree is the burger special, and mine is the crispy chicken sandwich. He has also had the patty melt which was delicious. The sauces on the sandwiches are so inspired-- the maple gochujang glaze on the crispy chicken sandwich is truly a must-try. And I love that they're generous with the kewpie mayo. Finally, don't skip the their curated collection of canned soda and seltzers. No matter what you order, you're sure to find a perfect pairing in the case! Foods was good but the hostess named Frances was so friendly and warm and nice when we entered. She took our order changes down and fulfilled it completely. They were out of chicken nuggets. My six year old granddaughter was sad, but then all of a sudden, the chef named Kevin, came up to us and said he would whip something up for her. He went above and beyond. If anyone wants to train their employees, pop in and see how is done. Great service!!! Fun place. read more
