Stopped in on a whim and I truly believe this is how you find the best spots ever. Highly recommend making a reservation as there's not a ton of seating. I started with the bourbon espresso martini...WHAT!!! OMG! Yes yes and yes. Idk if it was the bourbon or the baileys but this was the best cocktail I've had in a while. But the reason I will be coming back again and again...the dry rub wings. Never have I had a wing packed with so much flavor! Perfect crispness, and seasoned to perfection. It's a very chill spot with dim lights but tons of TVs around if you're into sports. Just do yourself a favor and make the reservation now!

We stopped by on Saturday afternoon after walking around downtown, it was hot so we needed an ice cold place to recover & enjoy a late lunch. We were welcomed from the time we walked in, allowed us to review menu & then were seated right away. JD took care of us, & went with the berry & goat cheese salad and the All American burger with fries. Our food came out of the kitchen minutes later. The salad was delicious, really refreshing on a hot day and the burger was just right l, crispy bacon, the fries hot from the oven. Overall a great lunch in Downtown Cincinnati.

We stopped in before a show near by for dinner around 545 on a weekday. The place was happening, but not full. We were seated right away, but the service was very slow. Took us about 25 minutes to get our drinks and then another 30 for our burger and chicken/waffles. Can't say we were checked on often either. In fact, we couldn't even wave down our server when needed. The food, on the other hand, was magnificent. The truffle and Gouda burger was delicious! The flavors went so well together and it was also cooked perfectly. The bacon jam added so much. I'd 100% order this again! Chicken and waffles was great too. The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Ambiance is that of a high end tavern, so nothing special but nice enough. We do think the food prices were a tad on the high side for the service and ambiance, but overall not too bad.

Cool atmosphere with techno-style music and a vibe that lands somewhere between a bar, nightclub, and restaurant. Great bourbon selection, plus plenty of cocktails and wine options. We sat near the bar and were served by the bartender--service was fantastic. And the food? Delicious. Walking distance to the Taft. Definitely a spot worth checking out.

The food here is excellent!! Ambiance gave off an upscale Bourbon vibe, service with class, and menu items with unbelievable prices! Stopped in for dinner while in town for the start of baseball season and I am so glad we came across this gem! Located just walking distance from the Courtyard by Marriott Downtown, the store front was instantly inviting. The gents who welcomed us were friendly and helpful. Menu items included chicken, waffles, steaks, and burgers. A variety of good libations listed on the drink menu. We tried a few different cocktails paired with our entrees. I had the Calabrian Chicken and Burrata entree which comes with Smashed Fingerling Potatoes, Crispy Chicken, Calabrian Chili, Burrata, Crispy Prosciutto, and Broccolini. It was probably the best chicken dish I've ever had! Serving comes fairly large. I also had a martini. Definitely a place to visit again and try other menu items!

We thought we'd give Burger Week a shot. We didn't get very far, but we did start at Bourbons Craft Kitchen and Bar. It was a great start... we should have kept going. The restaurant is plush (tufted 'leather' seating and fancy chandeliers) and fun with animal heads (pretty sure they're not real) on the walls. Our waitress was very welcoming. Because we are good stewards of Burger Week, we ordered Dynamite Shrimp to start. This was a solid app with a kick. I also ordered a Bourbon Espresso Martini. I opted for the Burger Week special - Boursin Burger: Pretzel Bun, 100% beef patty, boursin cheese, black pepper aioli, arugula, candied red onion, sautéed mushrooms and tomato. Yum! Mark ordered the In 'N Out - American Cheese, pickles, mustard, fancy sauce, flat top onions on a brioche bun. We lived in California for seven years. I think he was getting a bit nostalgic. He very much enjoyed his burger. Would we come back? Absolutely.

This is a very nice looking place inside. The server was super friendly and the food is definitely unique! However, it does take some time for your food to be brought up to your table since it is freshly made. Definitely a must swing by if you are in the area.

Great food and a nice atmosphere but pricey and everything costs extra. There are no sides included with the entrees. Portions are small. Only the burgers come with a small side of fries. $8 for bread. We ordered the Gouda burger ($20) and wild mushroom truffle spaghetti with prosciutto crumbles. Both tasted great but $27 pasta should include a side. Service was pretty good considering they had a large group to serve as well.

Our server Emma was super! Food was fresh and well done. Great location downtown and decor is cool. We sat in a cute cozy velvet booth. Two things that were a bit off... 1. Why have a cigar menu and no heaters on the patio to smoke them? They are missing out on dollars customers would spend on after dinner and after work smoke and cocktails 2. The overhead music doesn't match the theme. I felt like I was at a rave in Germany. Maybe a Chris Stapleton or Leon Bridges playlist??

    Nelson R.

Stopped by for a quick bite to eat, this place is pretty cool they have a real good whiskey menu and you can also purchase some cigars and smoke them outside. I had the Gouda cheeseburger on a lettuce bun with sweet potatoes fries and both were very good. Will def be back to try other things!

I don't know that there's any way to know this, but they were closed to the public for a private party until 4:00. Not a big deal. We grabbed a tea around the corner and returned after the party ended. This place is great! What a fabulous selection of brews. Even more extraordinary was the massive selection of alcohol free beers. I've never seen anything like it. Though the partiers lingered a bit, we were able to snatch a comfy table for two by the window. It's the perfect spot for two. Unfortunately I don't recall what I ordered, though I'd remember it if I saw it. Mark had a AF beer and he really enjoyed it. I tasted it and it was delightfully unique. The selection of beer to purchase and take away was huge. I intended to return after dinner, but it was cold and I was too ready to go home. The gentleman running the place was super helpful even though he was managing the party and the remaining party guests as they cashed out with drinks to go. We will most definitely return!

I've made my way through the entire menu (food and drinks), and there honestly isn't a single item I wouldn't recommend. Everything is consistently spot on every single time. That kind of reliability is hard to find, and it's exactly why I keep coming back. That said, a few personal favorites stand out. The goat cheese flatbread appetizer is a non-negotiable. It's the kind of dish you order "for the table" but secretly don't want to share. The cacio e pepe and pasta rustica are also incredible and always hit. As for drinks, the seasonal espresso martini is always a go-to and never disappoints. But my personal favorite is either the regular old fashioned or, when I'm feeling myself, the wagyu old fashioned... especially if Scott is behind the bar. He clearly knows what he's doing, and it shows. The service is always warm, attentive, and consistent, which makes the whole experience even better every time. The bartender said these are made to order, mozzarella pulled and filled after I placed my order. The atmosphere was cozy and right in the heart of Covington. Both bartenders were super friendly and when I said all of a sudden I did not feel well, they took my meal and put it in a box for me and got me an ice water to go. Wow! What a way to spend our 1 year wedding anniversary! I loved this place…read more It has been a few months since eating here but I still find myself thinking about it. Our next trip to Cincinnati; It will be extremely difficult to stay away from here. We spent the day in Newport and around Cincinnati and wanted somewhere nice for the occasion. I was iffy on this place at first... you can throw a rock all over America and hit a place with 'Barrel' in the name these days. The Yelp reviews swing both ways here but I'm here to tell you my take... because it swings so far towards the 5 stars that it's very much a 6 or 7 star place(maybe more). We gauged our arrival time based on other activities that day. We wanted ample time at the nearby Lego exhibit so when we arrived there, we made a reservation for 4:30-5. Eating early and making our way back to Louisville was a great idea. The entire time we were there, no one else came in so we had the entire place to ourselves(It was a Friday). The atmosphere is homey but during busy times, I could see it being noisy. The booths could easily fit 6 people comfortably... probably 8 in some cases depending on how wide some of you are. Special Note: This place highlights The Parrillada Experience for Two on their menu and we wanted it! We didn't order it because at a price tag of 130-and pictures online, we didn't want it to be a failed outing. After our first trip, The Parrillada Exp will be on the agenda next time. It's a mixture of different steaks, sausages, shrimp, sides, and salads. Definitely worth the cost. On to the food: Sausage App - Argentine Chorizo. Farmhouse Sausage. Grilled Ciabatta. Hearts of Palm. Green/Red chimichurri. Pepper Relish. I don't like ordering this type of dish when I go places because you never know if it's going to be delicious or very bad. It ended up being super delicious. We couldn't make up our mind which sauce we liked the best and which meat we liked the best. App PERFECTION! Land and Sea - This is what my wife went with. Asada Skirt Steak. Jumbo Shrimp. Asparagus. Red chimichurri butter. I had bites of the shrimp and it was good. I had to save room for my dish. Wagyu Denver Cut - I went back and forth. Lobster ravioli being on the menu almost made my decision instant but I was going back and forth between ravioli, steak, and a few other things. I asked the server which he recommended of the 4 Chef's cuts. He recommended two... one of which was the Wagyu so I went with it. I wasn't disappointed AT ALL. He mentioned that the Wagyu Denver Cut was a new addition to the menu... I'm not sure but you could definitely tell it was cooked, arranged, and presented with care. I savored every angle of every bite. We also ordered a side of brussels because of course! Originally we were going to dessert somewhere else but went ahead and ordered the Hazelnut Vanilla Creme Brulee here. Perfect ending to the meal. This brulee was light and had the right amount of crunch. It was also larger than expected. We had no complaints with this place. Easily one of the better restaurants I've had in Cincinnati. If you're doubting visiting this place, take the dive! Other notes: They have beer and a small cocktail variety but they primarily seem focused on wine(plenty of options to choose from).
