This is my third and final chance for the local post. 1st time was great 2nd was okay. 3rd was comical I went to local post at 630 and not a soul there. I go to find a seat and got helped 5 minutes later I got a water from the cook. Then our "server" came over with headphones in and took our order. (Quite ridiculous since this is a high end bar and grill) The service was so bad, I had to go to the bar to get a box and my checks. The service comes back with our digital check tablet and is on the phone while we are paying. The fries are good tho! I ordered the East End burger and got an over cooked patty that was 100% frozen. Local Post has lots of TVs, making it a great spot to watch sporting events. The beer and drink selection is solid, and the overall vibe was good, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Service was a little slow the day we went, but not terrible. The food is always pretty good, but not great where I'm like "omg this is SO good!" I ordered the chicken bacon ranch pizza, which had good flavor but felt like it was missing something; maybe a bit more seasoning or being cooked slightly longer. My Mr. has dined here for lunch and highly recommend we check it out. We had scheduled a candle making class at Manitou Candle and wanted to eat nearby. Plus the Bengals game was on and wanted to watch it before our class. My Mr mentioned coming here and what a great recommendation. This is your basic pub and grub meals but made bistro style. They have plenty of seating and mass TVs everywhere if you want to watch a game. When it warms up, they have an outside patio that you can sit and enjoy your drinks/meals. Walked in and were seated right away. Our Server asked if it was our first time. Since it was mines, she went through the menu and told me which are best sellers, which I thought was really nice and helpful. Their menu is simple. But have a lot to offer. Appetizers, burgers, salads and pizzas. We ordered: -Slider Sampler- GOAT, East End, 1788 w/ fried -Reuben Sliders w/ house salad -Mastered Legendary Lager -Clos Du Bois Cabernet Sauvignon Wow! The sliders were amazing. I really loved the goat! The fig and goat cheese went really well with the burger. Sweet and salty goodness! The other two were not messy to eat and loved the sauce! The fries were not greasy and loved that they topped it with bread crumbs seasoning. My Mr killed his Rueben. I had a taste of it and loved the flavor! My boyfriend and I have come to Local Post a few times because of their patio and being able to bring our pup. The food is decent and we enjoy the back patio, but I unfortunately have to write this review because of how poor the service was. I am a server myself and give people grace and patience because I know how crazy the service industry can be, but there were only 3 tables outside and it took our server 15ish minutes to greet us (no menus or 'hi welcome, how are you'). I had to ask for a water 2 times, and ended up going inside because our server never brought one and she was unable to find. There was no bussing of our table either, we had sat around a previous mess when getting there. Lastly, the beer pour. Just look at the photo and you'll see what I'm talking about. We we looking for a good burger on a Sunday. Most people are closed but not the local post. We walked and and got a spot by the kitchen window. We ordered one of everything I think the fries, burger and wings. Let me tell you, everything was amazing. We passed up on the servers suggested burger but after trying everything we order ANOTHER burger. Only complaint is we could have done without the fries, which was appetizer sized. So I was in the east end for work and just really wanted a grilled cheese and soup. I looked up to see what was around me and this place popped up. After looking at the menu I decided to try it. Although the grilled cheese is a mix of cheeses (including goat cheese) but I figured it would be ok...I mean who doesn't like goat cheese. I ordered the grilled cheese and tomato soup. The atmosphere was nice...it's has a bar and it's pretty spacious. The food....well it wasn't bad. Great local spot. Have several beers on tap and bottles. We got the Buffalo chicken spring rolls. Very good. Others around the table got loaded fries, a burger that looked so good with french fries that were cut so uniquely (and was served with a deep fried pickle). They have a neat space downstairs that can be used for private events. Service was pretty good, especially since we had 16-17 people in pour party. It was very very loud in there. (It's one draw back). Hard to talk to people even right next to you at times. read more

Great local bar to watch and game and enjoy some well crafted food. We live extremely close by and we're able to walk which makes this place even more desirable. The service was super friendly and the food is pretty good, definitely a sports bar feel but unique because of their location and building. We ordered some game-day essentials which included pizza, wings, and loaded fries. Notable findings here was the dry rub on the wings and the perfectly crisp pizza crust! Checked out Local Post last night with a couple of friends based on a recommendation. Let me start with, if you are looking for an awesome place to watch sports, this is it! They have TVs everywhere, a large projector, and loud sound system that allowed me to hear the game over the generally loud environment. The burger 1788 burger was big and kinda juicy. I was satisfied with it and fries. I was less impressed with the wings however. I often like dry-rubbed wings, but the seasoning on these was slightly too course causing a lack of flavor for many bites. I found myself dipping them in ketchup and ranch to add flavor. I feel like they could be improved by a finer seasoning so there is more surface area (and flavor) coverage. I would not go as far as to say they were bad, I just think they could be improved upon. If I ordered wings again, I'd probably opt for the wet variety. Our service was good for a busy Saturday night. Our waitress was friendly, kept us updated on our food timing, and offered us drinks when we were running low. I'll definitely be back to Local post as I'd really like to check out their patio on a warm day. Have been here a few times since my first review. 1) one time the pipes were leaking condensation on all of the guests because it was "too hot" outside and every table was getting dripped on and it was a "too bad so sad" situation 2) another time they took 1 hour since ordering a pizza to tell us that "the pizza fell through the oven" and they don't have any more pizza dough and they were sorry but couldn't decide who to have break the bad news to us. 3) today we didnt get food for over an hour, no silverware, no napkins, half the menu is out of order, overall poor and slow service. Our running group decided to have brunch after our last long run of the Flying Pig training season. We had about 14 people. We sat out on the patio and it was perfect for a nice sunny day. It has a great atmosphere. The staff were all awesome. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, especially considering we had a large group and only gave them about 30 minutes notice that we were coming. Everyone enjoyed their drinks and the food was very good. We had everything from breakfast to burgers to pizza. Their fries are probably some of the best in the city. So good. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars, and also the reason I almost gave it 3, was the speed of the service. It probably took 20 mins for our drinks to start to arrive, after ordering them (mostly beer). Our food probably took over an hour from the time of ordering. I believe they had 1 bartender and 1 cook, so it's understandable. I'm not sure if they normally aren't busy on a Saturday at noon so were struggling to keep up (there were probably 30 people on the patio alone, counting us) or if this is just the pace of things here. Regardless, we were with friends and having a blast so it wasn't a big deal. Had I been in a relative hurry my review would've been lower. At the end of the day, I recommend Local Post. It was a good time, good food, and the staff was very friendly. I'll update my review after my next visit. I have a feeling we just caught them off guard. read more

In my forever quest to find the best pizza we recently tried the local post. While it won't be my favorite, it certainly delivered a great pizza! We tried the Dad's Mail and the Al Green Also snagged a few wings, which were pretty good. 6 bbq rub and 6 Mexicali. I would order them again if we ate there, but I wouldn't go there specifically for the wings. Both pizzas had great flavor, did not skimp on the toppings and the crust was well cooked. If you get the Al Green I would suggest asking for it to be well done, the sauce and cheese are so heavy the crust got soggy. read more

I was meeting out of town friends at Ault Park and we decided to order dinner through DoorDash to have delivered to the park. We picked Local Post per recommendation of a friend and a wide menu. First, the menu doesn't interface well with DoorDash. The names of menu items appear, but it gives no description so we had to keep looking back and fourth between a PDF online menu and the DoorDash app. This was problematic. The food. I ordered the Mamas Marg pizza and a friend ordered a cheese pizza. We found the pizza mediocre at best. The crust lacked flavor and needed salt. The pizza sauce didn't add much and even my veggies were sparse leaving me disinterested in eating it. We ordered some fried pickles to share and they were really spicy. One friend loved them, but they were way too spicy for two of us, so if you aren't into spicy I wouldn't recommend. I ordered a Diet Coke and was filled with coke. Also, a kids meal was supposed to come with fries and they were left off. Lastly, on DoorDash there was a $2.99 delivery fee which seemed reasonable, but then once we all had our orders in and I began to checkout, I discovered $16 in fees. I really enjoyed this place and was our first time trying it. Came today for lunch around 1:45pm. Greeted immediately and taken to a table inside. Outside had a really cool patio set up but was too hot today to sit outside for our preference. Server was really nice and came back several times to check on us. (I've seen other reviews on Yelp for lack of service/rudeness from staff, but we didn't experience that whatsoever! Everyone was so nice.) Drinks and food came quickly. Food was fresh and hot! The loaded fries with the posty sauce hit the spot and the wings..... holy moly they were fried perfectly to be crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I got the buckaroo dry rub and dipped into ranch and Buffalo sauce and wow oh wow was that YUMMY. These wings are now my favorite in Cincy. Will definitely come back! read more

They do not provide a physical check either. You pay and sign via the handheld device the waitress has. I didn't ask about the price difference while I was there but on the drive home I kept wondering. So I looked up the menu online and sure enough, their online menu has higher pricing. Never had the pleasure. Review solely based on interaction via telephone. I called because I had a Groupon. I wanted to pick up food for me and my 73 year old mother. My mom has not been out of the house since COVID. I have not dined inside since COVID. I honestly that that due to COVID there would be exception to the dine in rule. I would abide by the time restraint of the Groupon. There was no considerstion of my request. Flat NO. In this crazy time we are all making adjustments and exceptions. I know businesses are struggling. I planned on spending beyond the Groupon amount in support. The only change I asked for was to use the Groupon for pick up vs dine in due to COVID.
