This review is for Heather Stadtlander-GM @ Spear Ridge, Independence, Ky Tuesday, 5/5/26, was my first visit to Spear Ridge with friends. I had the breakfast croissant with a side of potatoes. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Heather is very welcoming and hospitable! She checked on us at our table to make sure we had what we wanted and asked if we needed anything else to make our visit very enjoyable and satisfying. Thank you Heather! They have the best roast beef sandwich. Always very good!! Reminds me of the old Roy Rogers roast beef

Being the new place in town has us wanting to give Spear Ridge a try. You order at the window and can get food to go or to eat there. We had our food to there and it all came out quickly. They will bring the food to the table but it is all basically serve yourself. We did end up getting a banana split to share and oddly it has little to no ice cream. I feel that this place is pretty pricy for what it offers. I'm not sure we will be back. read more

The buffalo chicken sandwich is amazing. Crisp and hot when it was served. You order at the window and either wait for carry out or take your number and sit at a table. My husband and I have done both. I like that the restaurant is decorated with KY memorabilia that you can look at while waiting for your food. read more

Went for lunch. You walk to counter and order your food, then find a seat and they bring it to you. Staff helpful in suggestions and options on the menu. Place is very clean. Loved the historic photos on the walls. We both got burgers and they were fabulous. I got the cowboy killer and hushpuppies. Both were very good. Loved this place. Fancy gas stop for sure. Great smash burgers (price range $12-$18 for complete order with choice of potatoes ( ask for a pickle). Family friendly patio to walk up window to order ice cream specialties. Minimal amount of service but a good vibe all together. Love this place. read more

Do not use old slimy lettuce on a sandwich, or a limp pickle that looked like it had been chewed on. Igh!

TERRIBLE DO NOT go here... 2 burgers with NO sides, 1 order of cheese sticks and one beer was $44 for a gas station restaurant!! To top it all off the staff is clueless! Order a beer... they did not bring it out, 4 di people told it would be out right away. After we finally got our food and finished it, i asked to speak to a manager... she said she was sorry, cause she got distracted with an ice cream machine and forgot to bring it out.. WTF! We never got our sides with our burger! Nothing was done to compensate us for that. Terrible... and foid sux too, tasted like it was heated up in microwave.... DO NOT GO HERE!!! read more

Holland must not be making enough money. Went to Spear Ridge tonight and had to pay .79 cents for my dressing for my salad. Not extra dressing either . Absolutely ridiculous. I have never had to pay for dressing when ordering a salad. Last trip for me. read more

We love the ambiance and it's one of our favorite places. It's always clean and smells good. The food is always really good and the staff is friendly. There is only one employee who has been really rude but we aren't sure what her name is. Super impressed otherwise. read more

I tried the cowboy killer burger and fries. Overall, the burger was solid. Quality ingredients and char. However, this burger has jalapeno and mango in there. Yet, I didn't taste any hint of that. No sweet nor heat. Mild. Only a few deep fried crisps in my bites. The fries were great! I found the food a bit pricey. It's about $15 on average per head. Our seats were uncomfortable and hard wood. The service was great tho. 10 minutes wait. The kitchen was moving with passion. I think it is a solid restaurant. A bit too pricey for my tastes. A $15 burger should be excellent and it simply was not. read more

The food has been fresh and delicious each time we have visited. The desserts are homemade and large enough to share!

Called in a breakfast order. When I went to pick it up, no one at register. Called out a couple times and then went to the pickup window. A gentleman there got my to go order, put it by the register, and got the person from the back. She came up and said what can I do for you. I pointed to the to go order. She rang it up, took the payment, and turned around and walked away. Food was cold. Service was horrible. This was their second chance. No more. read more

I ordered the roast beef sandwich, it had no flavor at all. That night the restaurant was so Smokey, maybe from something burning in the kitchen. The one in Florence, KY is so much better! I do have to say for what you pay it's not worth it. read more

I ordered a flatbread and the crust was not crispy except around the edges. The flavor was good, crust just needed to be crisper. Ordered a banana split and still had not received it after 10 minutes of waiting for it. And that was after waiting 5 or 6 minutes for someone to actually come to the register and to take my order and several other customers waiting to order also. Didn't quite understand why we all had to wait so long. There were workers just standing around not doing anything. Maybe some cross training is needed. Or maybe the manager needs to pay attention to what's going on in the restaurant. read more

Quick, fresh, southern style food that hits the spot every time. The staff is very friendly and the service is quick! Family friendly so we can enjoy family dinners here as well. It is a MUST try! Smash burgers are my husbands favorite and I love the chicken sandwiches and the salads. read more

Best Burgers in town! The place is new next to the Shell gas station. They serve breakfast as well. They served my food quickly.

The food is scratch made and DELICIOUS- I had the biscuits and gravy with a side of sausage- two BIG biscuits and a really well seasoned gravy - we also had a fried catfish basket with fries and coleslaw- very tasty - and a Cuban Sandwich with crunchy onion rolls - we also tried the scratch made peanut butter pie - very rich and VERY delicious- the banana pudding cake was also very good!
