    Sausage, gravy and biscuits.

I enjoy Mom and Pop restaurants and diners so I actively see them out. I was in town visiting relatives. Just this past weekend. My auntie's boyfriend suggested we eat at the country Inn. It's just the sort of southwestern Ohio restaurant that I frequented often in the past and in particular while serving our country in the army. The restaurant is nothing special to look at, but it has a southern charm that I like. The coffee is good and strong. The waitress was very helpful and took our order right away. Our food came out nice and hot right away and I might've ordered more than what I could eat. The sausage gravy and biscuits were fantastic. The extra scrambled nice and hard. And even came with a nice big slab of expertly grilled Goetta. If you're from around Cincinnati, you'll know what I'm talking about. It taste fantastic and it was nice and crispy on both sides. Even the sausage patties were flavorful and good to eat. Everyone else just got eggs and home fries and sausage or bacon. If you're looking for an economical place to eat where you can get some honest food from honest people, this is the place to go

4 decades of serving meals! Large portions and inexpensive is the place. Most customers are over 50 if not 60 or 70. This is my first time eating here. We did get a doordash breakfast a few months back from them, and it lasted 2 meals. . Pancakes are hue! queadillas are huge! I saw others with burgers and fries and they were huge. We got a side of onion straws after seeing platters go by. Not gourmet but very e joysble. Lot of options!

Sometimes you just want a good down home country-style spot for a great lunch, and Country Inn is an excellent place for that. It's small mom and pop restaurants like this that always fill you up with tasty southern goodness. Plus the decor and service make you feel right at home. I went for lunch with my work crew on a Thursday. Country Inn is known for their $6.99 breakfast special but I wasn't quite feeling like breakfast for lunch that day. Their menu is loaded with delicious southern-style options for any time of day. They also have a decent beer list and some mixed drinks. After some perusing, my co-worker got the pigskin burger with fries, my boss got the breakfast burger with fries and a cup of potato soup, and I got the Nati melt. We hardly waited long at all before everything was ready and looked great. Tasted even better. Their fries are steak fries which I always enjoy. After we were done, my co-worker kept eyeing their peanut butter pie for dessert, so she got a slice to take home. She said she really liked it the next day. This place definitely has a true southern charm and you're pretty much guaranteed to leave full and satisfied. I could see going again with my lady and trying out one of their breakfast options like their country fried steak.

This is a really nice local cozy type diner. We drive by this place all the time and it always looks really packed. So we decided to come here for lunch because I just wanted something simple and not too expensive, but not fast food. We arrived around after 1:30, when the crowd somewhat died down. You can definitely tell it is a local spot. The service was nice and they had a lot of options surprisingly. My husband ordered a standard breakfast and he said it was good, although the eggs were pretty tiny. I ordered their breakfast burger, not realizing that it came with two patties - which honestly was kind of amazing. The burger was really good. The patties had a really nice char to it and the bun was really nice and soft. Definitely a good burger especially for the price. I would definitely come back here because it was just a nice local vibe.

The space is open, bright and well decorated making it very inviting for brunch. You order at the counter from the menus placed along the wall then food is delivered to your table. The various brunch items all sounded very inviting so I was having trouble deciding what to order. So I got a recommendation to try the Shakshuka. Not sure how to pronounce it but when it arrived it was just the right portion and quite tasty for brunch. It's a bowl with a red pepper sauce and feta cheese and kale along with eggs sunny side up. The dish is served with pita so you can do a little bit of dipping in the tasty sauce. To accompany our food we selected the mimosa service and bloody mary pitcher. A pitcher is just perfect for sharing. And the mimosa service was delightful. The server arrived with a bottle of Prosecco and small carafes of orange, grapefruit and blood orange juices to mix yourself. The food was fresh and tasty with prompt delivery of our food to our table. Not quite a full service restaurant since you have to order at the counter but still a nice experience located downtown.

My husband and i stopped in last week for breakfast. There were approx 4 tables seated and two new tables of two that came in behind us. Honestly the entire place felt dirty and sloppy. We sat for 15 minutes while the only waitress in the restaurant took care of all the tables including the two that came in after us because she apparently knew them. Both tables got their drinks and orders input to the cook before we were even approached. (We were never approached) We left. With one cook who did nothing to help the waitress and one waitress who honestly looked tired and sloppy and could not be bothered acknowledging us or get us water and coffee , we just didn't feel like the breakfast would measure up to our former visits. We went to Bob Evans instead.

I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, served with provolone, arugula, bacon, and Southwest ranch dressing, with a side of well seasoned fries. It was quite good with a decent piece of chicken. My husband had the turkey club wrap, with the same contents, but chose onion rings as his side. They were fresh and tasty. A quick and satisfying lunch. Bonus: one parking spot designated for veterans. Thank you.

We were one of three tables occupied in the place. The decor was lovely, albeit totally akin to a hotel restaurant. We sat at a booth table that was very comfortable. There is individual LED lighting on each table bright enough to see the menu, which was great. Our server was energetic, helpful, and she kept a close eye on us without being intrusive. Here are our thoughts about the food: We read that the croquettes and crispy lasagna were dishes Pennyflower is known for, so we ordered those. The croquettes are gooey and rich but came to us barely warm. The lasagna was a very browned huge slab of layered pasta with ricotta and surrounded by an arrabbiata sauce. The flavors did not quite hit anything special for us, and the crispy aspect was way too much so. I also missed the meat, as we do prefer meat in our lasagna (I did order knowing it did not have meat). The burger was...well, just a burger, but the fries were fantastic. The best dish of the night was the house salad. It was perfectly dressed with bits of candied almonds, feta, and thin slices of fennel. We would order this over and over

A couple notes I'd share with the restaurant: the entrée prices feel a bit high, and the gravy was unfortunately too thick and under-seasoned for our taste. Our meal came with toast too. We ordered rye and whole wheat. Candidly, the food didn't have any flavor. The potatoes were the most bland. My veggie omelette had large sliced vegetables inside vs smaller pieces. The huge hotcake was thick and I'm guessing that's the difference between a hotcake and a pancake. It was good but not great. Glad we stopped by. Atmosphere very nice, service was great. We won't return due to the food. Just not good, no flavor.
