This is probably my favorite place to go for breakfast in Ohio. My two favorite things food and supporting animal rescue. We walked in and immediately were greeted by multiple good mornings from the staff. They only serve breakfast and lunch here but the menu is really expansive. I wanted to do the pancakes which are dinner plate size but stuck with the basic breakfast because it's so yummy. Eggs were cooked perfectly. The hash-browns were delicious with just the right amount of brown and the bacon was perfectly crisp. Love that this place supports the animals. They feature adoptable pets on tv screens and do fundraising through out the year. Love that everyone seems to know each other. Servers are greeting guests by name. Just has a great diner feel to it. We stopped in for lunch today and were lucky enough to grab a table right away. Our server was friendly and efficient. All of the servers truly hustle. We order a cheeseburger, fries, and coleslaw and a chicken salad sandwich with a side of onion rings. The burger was served with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onion. It was juicy and well seasoned. The coleslaw was good and the fries were crispy. The chicken salad sandwich was served on toasted bread with lettuce and tomato. The chicken salad was homemade and fresh. My boss had been talking about Poochie's for quite some time now, so recently, I said let's go because I wanted to check it out. What did I think? I really agreed with his fandom of the place. This definitely has a super local, all-American neighborhood grill feel, and the food is excellent. We went on a Wednesday for lunch. The place itself is open from 6am until 2pm and served lots of breakfast and lunch options straight off the grill. Seating is a little limited but it's not exactly a huge place. But what IS huge about it is the character and flavor of everything. You can tell this spot has a plethora of regulars because the servers all know them by first name. Our server was very friendly and welcoming. After a little perusing through the menu, I opted for the mushroom swiss burger as a platter with fries, and my boss got the bacon cheeseburger with fries and a bowl of beef stew with cornbread. We kept looking around at what everyone else ordered, and it all looked fantastic, especially the breakfast options. We didn't wait long at all before everything was ready and absolutely tasty. My burger had a mushroom sauce on it that was delicious of everything including the fries. Yeah, it was messy to eat, but worth it. My boss really liked his order, especially the beef stew, which was VERY hearty. And for the price, it was also a great deal. This is a great local grill with lots to offer. I could absolutely see going back, and likely, bringing my lady for lunch here. And definitely try their fresh made chocolate chip cookies. We got some to go and they were awesome! read more

The food was good, service was basic. The downside was, my first time in. Asked about the menu. Server ask what i liked. I told her. Breakfast came out, it was a big amount of food. Ate what i could. Bill came. Every item was charged ala carte cost. One of the breakfast plates was exactly what I wanted. My meal was within $1.00 of double the cost of the menu item. When the manager/owner rang it up, he looked at the bill, shrugged and rang up the $16 for my breakfast. I drank water. It was eggs, potatoes, single biscuit, gravy and side of grits. No coffee. My mistake. My daughter is a long time server; her opinion is that server should have said that is the __ plate. How to you want your eggs? So be certain you know their menu well enough yo ask for exactly what they serve or be prepared to pay for each ingredient at full retail price. read more

The three egg omelette is made just the way you like it and they don't skimp on the ingredients. All breakfast portions are generous. The coffee never stops until you say no more! After an unfortunate, early trip to the ER, we left and were starving, so we finally decided to give it a try. Great classic diner vibes all throughout. After perusing the menu, I landed on a bowl that had a little bit of everything: scrambled eggs, a biscuit & gravy, hash browns, bacon, and cheese. Can't remember exactly what it was called. My wife ordered a spinach omelette. We waited probably ten or fifteen minutes and were greeted with our breakfasts. I jumped right in, and was immediately satisfied. Fluffy biscuit, crispy bacon, melty cheese. But the gravy was the all-star. Perfectly seasoned, the gravy brought the whole dish together beautifully. A tasty breakfast that was a great price for what ended up being two meals, since I was full about halfway through it. My wife didn't seem to enjoy her meal as much as I did mine, but she didn't have any real complaints. I'm not sure I want to share this place with y'all cause then, the secret won't be a secret anymore. But, I want to support local businesses so I guess I'll let you in. This is my favorite breakfast spot in town and I LOVE the food. I also can say that they really cook here. It's a good ole fashioned diner and it's definitely not fast food. It does take time so if you're in a rush, find another place. I've had an omelet and I've had eggs over easy with biscuits and sausage. Both times, I was blown away by how much food they serve for such a good price. I also chowed on almost every single bite cause it's so dang good!!! Next time, I gotta try the deep fried waffle.
