Well put together dining layout with a lot of space and great service. The food tastes like it's out of grandmothers kitchen. If I'm close, I'll never consider another restaurant for breakfast if I can go here. Treat yourself, it would be a "Weiss choice"

Was visiting friends in Loveland. They had family members that had eaten at Weiss Baking Company and raved about it. I saw the overall Yelp rating and was excited to try it out. While there were a few negatives that kept me from giving five stars. The negatives were minimal, but there were enough of them to keep my review to four stars. The place is huge and I can see how it would be a great event venue. Late morning on a Tuesday the place was nearly empty. Because it's one big room, it seemed odd, but it didn't keep us from enjoying a wonderful meal. Our server was pleasant and took excellent care of us. I ordered the Western Omelet - three eggs, ham, five cheese blend, bell peppers, white onions, chipotle crema, salsa. It was served with Haus Potato Casserole - shredded potatoes, creamy five cheese sauce, baked in a crispy cornflake crust. I ordered goetta on the side. The omelet was delicious. The eggs were done perfectly and it was chock full of fillings. The crema and salsa elevated the flavor well above a typical omelet. The potato casserole was good, but a little heavy. The goetta was a huge disappointment. My friend asked how I liked it and I said it tasted like paper. It didn't have the mouthfeel I expect from goetta. The taste and feel of cooked goetta should feature the grains. My goetta was chewy vs. falling apart in my mouth. It tasted like it might have been sitting around a while between being fried and being delivered to the table. One friend had Smoke Salmon - dill smoked salmon, boursin & cream cheese, cucumber, capers, everything bagel. She said it was delicious. My other friend had Stuffed French Toast - ciabatta stuffed with vanilla bean mascarpone, served with pure maple syrup & whipped cream. He said it was outstanding and he raved about the real maple syrup. On the way out I found the candles and had to buy two of them. I didn't notice until I got home, but one of them had already been lit! It was not burned for a long time, but the wick was burnt. I have to admit I felt a little violated. Oh... the silverware. Years ago we had a set with rounded handles that 1) were very hard to hold while eating and 2) would literally roll off the plate. The silverware at Weiss was very reminiscent of that horrible set we used to own. They didn't fall off the plate, but they were extremely difficult to use. Trying to switch the fork from using it to cut the food to picking it up and bringing it to my mouth required two hands. It was awkward. Even with less than delicious goetta, awkward silverware and an already used candle I am still comfortable giving Weiss Baking Company four stars. I would definitely come back.

Part bakery/mainly restaurant/occasional event space... It all works. We dined during the breakfast/lunch portion of the day. My wife went for breakfast with their version of an Eggs Benedict and goetta. Since I'm not a fan of either in general, it's not surprising that I didn't care for them. (But she seemed pleased.) I went for lunch, and I thought both my hot honey chicken wrap and haus potato casserole were great. The latter definitely gave mac and cheese vibes which is always a good thing. On the inside, they have a full bar and of course a display case of cakes and individual pastries to tempt you. It's really easy to see how this place could be used as a wedding venue, and a beautiful one at that. There's even space outside for outdoor dining or, say, a cocktail hour. One way or another, you're bound to leave happier than you entered.

This place is simply gorgeous! Simple decor and so spacious. Warm greetings at the host/hostess stand led us to prompt seating. The place smelled heavenly! I ordered a blueberry pancake and my daughter chose buttermilk. We each ordered the biscuit and gravy. She ordered an egg and I chose their house made goetta. For an "app", we ordered a few slices of ciabatta. First, the pancakes were tasty, nothing wow-ing. Just good old fashioned pancakes. The goetta --SO good!!! And the homemade biscuits were of perfect texture and moistness. The sausage gravy was very flavorful, however, the menu described it as creamy sausage gravy. It was so heavy with sausage, that the creamy part was lost. You couldn't really pour the gravy over the biscuit. Again, tasted good, just not the expectation for either of us. The ciabatta was delightful! I can't wait to go back and try more items. It is very family friendly. Oh, and they sell Wolf honey (local beekeeper) up front, along with candles. Well done! ;)

I would recommend Weiss to anyone. I'm thrilled that Emily has grown her business and added a restaurant- event space.

Holy cow! I went in with zero expectations, but was simply blown away. The brunch was SO DANG GOOD!!! I ordered a regular coffee that was fresh and strong. The Carnitas con Huevos are to die for! So much food that I couldn't finish it all. The Haus Potato Casserole is some of the best potato casserole that I've ever had in my life. My server was friendly and awesome. It was 5 stars all around!

Love this space. Its beautiful! The food is from scratch and delicious. They also have classic board games and love the farmhouse decor. We love the biscuits and gravy, haus potato casserole and mac and cheese.

Warrior burger. Best burger I've ever had. Wow. I wasn't expecting to say that. The service was great. (Party tonight so probably a little slower than usual). The restaurant is pleasant, clean, and unexpected.

First time at Weiss Baking Company. Sausage gravy with huge biscuit was excellent. The potatoes were cheesy and buttery - So tasty. My husband ordered the scrambled eggs and bacon a la cart. The eggs were plentiful and buttery. After reading the reviews, I was a little disappointed that the bakery cases only had a few leftover pastries in the case. Maybe we were there too early. Service was prompt. The dining area is spacious and would hold a large crowd. Definitely would be happy to try lunch sometime soon.

My wife and I went here for brunch one week day. The atmosphere was cozy since it was right before Christmas. They had very nice holiday decorations up. My wife had the Stuffed French Toast and a side of Goetta, I had the Hangover Harry with a Pancake. Everything was delicious and the service was great. This place is a nice little gem in Goshen Ohio. We'll be back!

Holy cow. There are not a lot of restaurants in the area. I was traveling for work and hadn't eaten lunch or breakfast or anything all day long and at 4:15 I finally got a break and was able to run and grab some food. Thankfully, I ended up at Weiss. Holy smokes, although beautiful, it was empty. I was promptly seated and served. I ordered the chicken pot pie and it did NOT disappoint. It was $18 but easily three meals for me!

We greatly enjoyed our first visit. As a parent, the first thing I loved was the plethora of games families could grab and play at the table while waiting for their meals. Our 8 year old enjoyed a competitive game of Yahtzee. My scrambled egg was perfectly cooked and I enjoyed eating it piled on the English muffin. I normally prefer thin pancakes, but these were thick - lightly crispy on the outside and fluffy soft on the inside, and I think, now my favorite local pancake. I don't recommend paying extra for fruit on them - it wasn't much for the added cost. The sausage and gravy was delish and my husband I shared it - 3/4 to him as it was a lot of food! I tried a bite of my hash brown casserole and liked it but packed it to go as at this point we were stuffed! I was concerned it would be really loud due to how open the space was without walls to break up the space but it was pleasantly peaceful We will be back! And maybe next time, I will win the game of Yahtzee! Ps the dessert case looked delish

While the space itself isn't large, they had an impressive selection of cookies, cakes, and cheesecakes for a Wednesday afternoon--plenty to tempt you the moment you walk in. I went straight for the bourbon caramel swirl cheesecake, and that's when things got even better. The girl behind the counter casually mentioned they use Weller's bourbon . Even better? She proudly said she gets to eat whichever flavor she wants. I joked that sounded like a great perk--she laughed and revealed she's actually the daughter of the owners. Loved that little personal touch. My wife is more of a traditionalist and chose the original cheesecake with caramel swirl. She said it was incredibly creamy and very good. Mine was just as creamy, with a noticeable punch of bourbon flavor balanced perfectly by the caramel, and finished with a crispy, satisfying crust. Bottom line: definitely good, definitely delicious. This is the kind of place that makes you plan your next visit before you've even finished your slice. I would absolutely return for another piece (or two) Unfortunately, I ate my cheesecake but I snap a photo. I couldn't wait! lol!

I don't expect natural, homemade food to last forever, but I do expect it to stay fresh for longer than two days. Last week, I purchased Froagies as well, and they became moldy four days later. When fresh, the Froagies are delightful, but I certainly can't eat an entire package before it goes bad. Splurging on $6.00 bread that ends up in the trash bin makes me cringe. Perhaps these need to be packaged differently? Perhaps smaller portions need to be offered? The other bread I purchased in big, round loaves is still fresh and going strong.
