Friendly people, great food, and a chance at live music or outdoor dining. We stopped in on Sunday where they only serve breakfast until 1:30. No music for us this day. The place had fun artwork on the walls and outdoor tables. Back to the food: I tried the Hippie Hash and a side of French toast. My daughter tried the southern slam, but put the gravy on the side. Everything was well prepared and very tasty. We will definitely keep this place in mind anytime we can make it to Goshen. read more

My boyfriend and I decided to try it out since they have an extensive menu with multiple gluten free options. Driven past this place many times. Decided to try it for lunch on Saturday. It was not too crowded but there was a steady flow of patrons. The menu is varied all kinds of sandwiches and salads and appetizers. We started off with a cup of chili. It was delicious. Just not the same under new ownership. We've gone ack twice and both times something's been wrong. Last time we were served rotten fruit. This time it was burned hash browns. This used to be a two-room schoolhouse built in 1913 (The Pleasant Plain Public School). Very old and historical. They serve fresh-brewed gourmet coffee, have a nice craft beer selection, cafe menu, and live entertainment. When we went on a Saturday night, it was Bluegrass. Which is not too loud. We were able to find seating at the booth. You order your drinks and food at the counter. They keep a tab running/open. The servers bring your food out to you. They call you by your name, so you must stay alert. We started off with the hummus as an appetizer which comes with Tortilla chips, panini bread and veggies (zucchini, carrots and celery). Very delicious. I got the Turkey BLT on Panini (very delicious, it was not soggy) and as my sides Kettle chips and pasta salad (slight tangy and seasoned just right). Loved my meal. My husband got Southwestern Chicken Salad- Mixed greens with grilled onions, peppers, black beans, and corn; and garnished with sour cream, spoonful of salsa, and served with tortilla chips. There are other items on menu that I want to try (menu selection is very simple and not overwhelming). Love the decor- Vinyls and Vintage items (has a hippy vibe). I felt very welcomed. Great place to chill out and get comfortable. Restaruant clean and staff very friendly. Bathroom small yet clean. I can't wait until it gets warm. You can enjoy outdoor seating and I heard there is a playground behind the restaurant for kids. Also known for displaying Volkswagen Bus in the front. Great ambiance and experience. Super friendly and welcoming staff. Clean and casual. Good variety of good foods. Say they specialize in grilled cheeses, though they are really just all kinds of regular sandwiches just focused on starting with the cheese, which I respect as a cheese lover. The Fat Tire cheese dip with 3 smaller soft pretzels was great. Cute crinkled panini "fries" (my description) was a cute add on to the tasty cheesy broccoli soup special. I had a good cranberry and almond salad to lighten up all the delicious cheese. Hubby got tasty soup too and club panini which he enjoyed. GOOD KIDS MENU options INCLUDE A FRUIT CUP option instead of chips as a side. Milk for the kids too and mine enjoyed the cheese quesadilla. Bathrooms were fine and stocked though nothing fancy and women's needs a hook for purses. NO CHANGING TABLE either which is fine for a music venue but not as helpful for families out for breakfast or lunch. Nice modern PLAYGROUND and cute OUTDOOR SEATINGwould have kept me there for hours enjoying a beer or cider if weather had been warmer. I usually go here a few times a month after volunteering at Circle Tail, which is a few minutes away. The chili is the best that I have ever had in my life, and I LOVE the 5pull grilled cheese! As soon as I walked inside I was greeted by the nicest and most helpful woman. She explained the process, took my order, and explained they were running a bit behind as they adjust to the changes they made. I sat outside on the back deck, enjoyed the sun, listened to the folk music they had playing, and it didn't really seem as long as she said. The grilled cheese I ordered was hot and gooey...perfect!
