VEGAN BAKERY OPTIONS!!! They had a berry oatmeal bar and a fudge brownie. Both $4.99 (coming to $5.37 w fees). I got the oatmeal bar and it was really good. Was planning to get a chai latte, but I could see behind the counter that it was a store bought liquid concentrate so I decided against it. Not really a problem, but a preference. A great little place with a great vibe. Seemed bougie but the prices weren't terrible. Definitely cheaper than Starbucks lol. Plus you can support a local business, which is always better than Starbucks. Never go to Starbucks lol. read more

This place is awesome. Food, drink, vibes and ambience all get a 10/10. Lots of different seating areas, with varied types of seating (booth, table, couch). There is also a small patio out front if you prefer to sit outdoors. They serve both breakfast and lunch items, as well as fresh baked goods. I tried the Fitzgerald sandwich and a side of chicken tortilla type soup. Both were good. Food did take a little longer than expected to come out. Also got an iced coffee which was enjoyable. Overall, I was just pleasantly surprised at the cozy space with ample seating arrangements, as well as the variety of the menu. Definitely would recommend giving this place a try! read more

The Socialite is great ... not just a coffee place, they serve good food and alcohol as well. So, yeah, it's popular! Some of the seats along the back wall and the leather sofas have access to a power outlet, but most of the seats in the middle do not. Staff are super friendly and take good care of you! read more

This is a booming cafe-restaurant. The coffee is fairly consistently delicious unfortunately not hot though. That needs remedied Quickly. It's beautiful inside. Smells good. Clean. Floors are clean. Not nearly enough staff for the front considering how busy Socialite is most of the time. The staff is very nice and does well. More bagel sandwich options need added in place of the croissant. As opposed to buying the bagel separate to make the Cali a bagel sandwich, for example. The ambience is loud, fun and relaxed when busy and chill when not as full. Hate to see the place relocate but I see it in the future because it is too small a venue to meet the demand. Maybe not, customers will wait for the best. Customers are coming in from nearby cities. Socialite is beyond full of people from all walks of life and age groups and outranks any chains within 20 miles. read more

Stopped in for a coffee and got a Cortado. It was great! A jazz band was setting up and the place was busy. They are "European" style and don't take tips but deserve them! The food menu looked good, I'd like to go back soon and try some of their baked goods and dinner options. Ambiance is great, nice decor and it feels happy and cozy and fresh. They even have alcohol. It was a rainy day Thursday that I stopped in for lunch. What a surprise!! The venue was comfortably filled with quiet people on laptops or iPhones. On the east wall are two flaming glass enclosed fire places built in to the wall. Offering dancing flames to warm the ambiance. I ordered "The Babe Paley" signature sandwich (roast beef) and black drip coffee. It was quickly served with potato chips and a dill spear pickle. It was excellent! Such a cute hole in the wall coffee shop! I came here for the first time today and was so pleasantly surprised at what an amazing experience I had. There was plenty of parking and the outside was decorated in such a special way for Christmas. It looks so welcoming before I even stepped in the door! When I was ordering, the kind employee was so helpful in explaining the differences between different menu items and was so patient! He made sure I was ordering what I really wanted and was so knowledgeable about menu items. I wish I had gotten his name to mention because he was such a light! The interior is SO unique and an amazing place to hang out, get work done, or catch up with friends. I LOVED getting to be here and drink my coffee in such a beautiful place!! What a great new establishment in the Dayton area. You want unique, done well and done right. A place to socialize, a place to relax and read a book. A place to enjoy and become a spot you'll love each and every time this Socialite Cafe is your spot. They have coffee, they have teas, they have breakfast and lunch and it's done exquisitely well. They got their inspiration from Pubs in the UK and the design and decor reminds me of a swanky, upscale (without the price) cafe in the heart of Mayfair, Kennsington or Chelsea (London). The service was great and so very friendly, they checked on us multiple times to see how we were doing. The Mellon' sandwich was great, good pesto, oil and the mozzarella with bacon was so tastefully delightful. Love all the detail and touches they brought to their store, lots to look at and admire (kinda like a gallery museum). Ooo and their coffee, yeah it's good. It's provided by grounds and hounds coffee co. in Cincy. It's very smooth and full of good flavor. Check this place out, it's awesome and enjoy the social life at Socialite. read more

The only thing this place has going for it is ambiance. The dining area was clean and fresh, which I would expect from someplace that just opened up. That's about all I can say that's good about this place. Maybe just one bad experience, so worth another shot, but this first experience was underwhelming and disappointing. Latte tasted like hotel lobby coffee. I drink a lot of hotel coffee so it's acceptable but I appreciate something "good" and I notice. Else, I wouldn't have stopped here. The cookie I ordered was on par with a cookie from a "Chips ahoy" bag. It had the artificial taste and texture that I associate with store bought than bakery. This is a coffee shop though so... maybe wasn't freshly baked but for $3.99, I would have preferred to buy the package. The lady offered to warm the cookie up. Not warmed up. It was cold. Comfortable furniture, good amount of space, disappointing selection of pastries, .... New business hiccup, bad day, or it could just be me... I'm hoping it was a hiccup/bad day. Also not a fan of their trash can. Manually having to lift the top off... eh... I'd rather not have to touch the same handle hundreds of other people use to throw trash away. I really wanted this to be a good remote work spot, but the cafe tables aren't super comfortable. We stopped in to see what everybody was "bragging" about and we were not impressed. The service was abysmal, we were treated with contempt and a bitter attitude. The coffee was abysmal and had a burned acrid taste and when someone requests a non-dairy milk pay attention to what you're doing versus talking to your friends that come in to visit and give them free coffee. When I asked them to please correct my drink I was told that it was too bad. Also a margarita is a drink made with tequila...it's Margherita Pizza. read more

This is a really awesome spot in the center of Kettering that anyone who likes coffee should be coming to visit. The atmosphere is probably one of the best ones in the city of cozy environment. Lots of help one of the baristas is even walking around and asking if you need anything. The Good: The atmosphere, the food, the drinks are all great. The staff has been wonderful, the art is compelling. The Bad: There's about a 10 degree difference between seating near the floor to ceiling windows at the front and the half booths at the back. I wish the temperature was better regulated. The chairs can be somewhat uncomfortable if you sit in them for too long (they're like a plastic-wicker thing). The Ugly: Single. Use. Plastic. For a place that wants to evoke a European/English pub, they seem to hate having to do dishes? The cups are plastic, the silverware is plastic. Which would be understandable if they were for "to go" options, but even sitting inside we don't get any nice latte mugs, no glass for iced drinks, etc. They charge premium prices, the least they could do is serve their items in basic ceramic. read more

My husband and I visited for lunch during the soft opening. I love the old world atmosphere, European decor and vintage music I heard playing in the background. I ordered an Edie Sedgwick - on gluten free bread!! - and an Americano. I loved the freshness and size of the sandwich. The flavor was fantastic, with their aioli as the star. My coffee was smooth and hit all the right notes with me. I absolutely adore that they do not upcharge for gluten-free bread! The service was incredibly friendly and they truly understand cross-contact. I learned that the owners' son has Celiac! I have Celiac and had no problems at all after eating there and would recommend Socialite to anyone with Celiac or a gluten intolerance. read more
