I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with this coffee shop! The staff is super friendly and the inside of the cafe is warm and welcoming with great song selections. They have so many options and fun drinks to choose from that I came back twice during my visit. This is also the perfect place for working remotely, grabbing a coffee with friends, or just grabbing a quick drink through the drive thru. One thing I also noticed is that all the drinks and food options are at a great price point compared to the rival chain coffee shops in the area and the food is definitely fresh. This used to be a great place to go for a coffee or chai tea. About a month ago the entire staff quit. Not fired, quit. Since that time they have been hiring and trying to orient new staff. So far, not going well. They continually mess up my drink order. Today I waited for 20 minutes for sandwich only to find out they didn't have the I've been a regular customer for approximately five years. What a beautiful and unexpected coffee shop! Not only coffee but a small stage, a mini-store (almost) of wine and beer to take home, lots of fudge, and other treats. Also, I always appreciate a spacious place if I want to sit, read, and drink my iced coffee or latte. The barista serving is was friendly and welcoming. Came in to get some work done, unfortunately the Google Machine didn't have the updated winter hours, so my visit was cut short. I order a DELICIOUS decaf sugar free white chocolate drips was excellent, only complaint is it wasn't opened late enough for me to finish my work-- but I will be back during normal hours. They have wifi but it's pretty loud in here so no chance to have a decent phone conversation/teleconference. The day I went while waiting in line (the place only had two employees working the drive-thru and inside, making coffee and food orders) I looked up, and the places air vents were CAKED with dust. Not like everyday dust- but dust that had been there for a while. (The vents in the restroom were just as covered) I ordered my coffee (a very basic cold brew), which took entirely too long. It was not the Barista's fault- it was the management's because they didn't know how to staff a bustling business for a Sunny Saturday February afternoon. Partner ordered a Valentine's style latte, which he said was ok but nothing stellar. The decor inside was trendy. They need more seating or single area work spaces, lots of laptop headphones people sitting at tables for four. read more

Quaint little coffee shop with a clean interior. Drinks were a bit expensive, although not unexpected for a mom and pop shop. They do have some breakfast sandwiches and a few lunch items in addition to muffins, scones, cookies and croissants. I tried a cinnamon pecan scone with my iced coffee and the flavor was good but it was rather dry. When we visited, all of the 2-4 person tables were occupied which was disappointing as we were hoping to hole up for a few hours to do some work. That said, I can't knock them for being busy! They also have a leather couch as well as a few reading chairs. I do wish they had better outlet selection along the outer edges, although there were a couple. I'm not sure where to start. Many times I've stopped with my husband to grab a chai or something. People who work there are nice and helpful. Place has a cool vibe. Coffee is good. Hot chocolate is good. Sammies are yum and the hubs loves the chai tea. But.. most recently when coming in the morning the drive thru isn't open. The doors are not open!! Why? My understanding is the drive thru opens at 630 and doors at 7. This happens on numerous occasions. Today, several other people were there and left. Approximately 10 cars. Over the last say 30 days this has happened quite frequently!! I understand the owner is Tom Routsong. You cannot reach him nor the store. Is this a way to run a business? If the hours have changed please post them. If not, you may want to try hiring dependable people, unless you don't care. I drive from Miamisburg to Dayton/Oakwood to support this local business. I'm questioning why. If you need a coffee/tea on your way to work, pass this place by....it appears no one cares enough to show up to work and the owner appears disconnected from the business. read more

If you're looking for a good coffee shop that is close to University of Dayton, look no further. When first entering, I was greeted with the smells of fresh coffee and baked goods! There was plenty of tables and seating to choose from. They have low top tables, high top tables, a couch, and a couple of comfy chairs. You order up at the counter and they also have a drive-thru, which is super convenient. I came later in the day, so I didn't need a caffeine fix and asked if they had any iced teas that were not caffeinated. The barista recommended the berry iced tea, which is wonderful. I ordered it with a pump of simple sugar, which was really good but honestly I didn't really need it since the tea wasn't too sour in general. I was told that I even had a free refill if I wanted one later! I sat down and did work for a couple of hours and will say that it does get quite chilly in here, so bring a jacket just in case. Also, the music was a little loud but I put in my headphones and then it wasn't a huge issue. This shop is cute, clean, smelled good, had good drinks, and everyone was really nice. Drip coffee was just ok both times. Think it needs to be brewed stronger? While sitting drinking my coffee, the sink water ran about 90% of the time rinsing out a smoothie container. Sad to see water being wasted in this way. Perhaps install an auto-stop feature to prevent waste? Always going to request vegan goodies to be available. Their neighbor is an Insomnia cookie so this is always an option for those seeking something sweet to accompany their coffee. read more

I stopped in here after some Taco's from down the street and didn't even know they offered food. I will have to come back and try the food here. Service was fun, and the coffee was yummy. My BFF and I ordered the same basic drink but I got hot and she got cold... sounds like a song I know. Mollie Noelle was our fun and exciting Barista of the day. She interacted with us and made our visit extremely fun. I even bought a new coffee mug while here because I liked it, but even at the price I bought it because Mollie was fun. To the boss or owners here, Mollie was amazing and deserves more than the 5 stars. The coffee was very well prepared and the the place was very nicely laid out inside. I wish we had more time to relax and drink our drinks here. If I am in the area again, I will gladly swing by here for a yummy coffee, I just hope I remember to bring my new coffee mug to enjoy the coffee in. read more

First time here. Honest review. Staff: Some were super nice. Everyone else was oblivious to anyone except their coworkers. Coffee and food was out in a timely manner. There was a girl who ordered right before us. She sat down and waited. I watched them put her drink on the counter and not say a word. Her back was to them. About 5 minutes later, one of the staff called out the drink order. Coffee: They recommended the pumpkin spice latte. I normally don't order this but they said it was good. It was good! Sweet but not sickeningly sweet. Perfect blend. Husband loved his caramel latte and he's picky so a definite plus. Food: meh. I'm a bagel connoisseur. Maybe it needed to be toasted longer? Husband got a breakfast sandwich. It was ok. Inside: beautiful and welcoming. More tables than I see in most coffee shops. There are also other seating options and a fireplace. It was relatively quiet and probably a good place to get some work done. Location: great area and conveniently located near UD. I'll definitely be back for coffee but may skip the food. What a breath of of fresh air at the UD campus. I wondered in here looking for a fix of caffeine after a LONG day. The place was really nicely decorated, cozy, with high-backed leather chairs, and an amazing wood floor! The inside smells of coffee and sweets. An amazing feeling for the brain. I had a wonderful soy latte and glazed croissant. I should never have ordered that croissant, but it was amazing. It was fatty and glazed goodness. Im a big coffee lover and wasn't sure what to expect. The service was great and my barista was extremely friendly. He walked me through the steps and answered any questions that I may have. I ordered a medium white mocha iced latte. And it was delicious. The price was a little pricey compared to other coffee shops I've been too. I ended up paying $4.85 for the coffee. After I paid the barista asked me if I had any milk preferences and listed off that they have soy, almond, coconut, 2% and whole milk. He then gave me an ice option which I loved! Since most coffee shops have more ice in their cups then actual coffee. I told him light ice and he gave me just that. Overall I was extremely satisfied with my experience. Very disappointed. I love supporting local businesses and my wife and I really love coffee shops, but unfortunately, this place won't be getting our business. My wife and I had a rare date night opportunity and had heard great things about this place, so after dinner we decided to make a bit of a trip to grab a coffee. Everywhere we see hours posted, it says that they are open until 9pm on Saturdays (including on their door), but when we arrived at 7:35pm, they had locked up and the staff inside were cleaning. I totally understand wanting to get a jumpstart on your weekend and maybe turning folks away 10-15 minutes before closing, but locking up an hour before and turning away customers who may have had quite a drive is a little unfortunate. It's a shame that this place decided to put a damper on an otherwise wonderful evening. read more
