Grabbed coffee to go here during a long drive. Staff were very friendly and pleasant. The honey cinnamon latte was solid, but nothing special. The bakery items looked good. Overall, not a place I'd make a point to come to, but would have no qualms stopping by if it was on the way. read more

I feel like this coffee taste like instant coffee I did not expect to be underwhelmed from this. I feel like if it is advertised as espresso, caramel, and chocolate--it should taste as so and look as so. Instead, I got a basic homemade tasting and looking concoction. So, I am staying away from this shop until I see some change! read more

Boston Stoker Coffee - Frozen Milky Way Latte - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Troy, Ohio

In an effort to sniff out some real coffee (from a legit roaster!) we stumbled upon this place in our work travels and it was such a gem. The coffee is solid with a great selection if you have a nose for intentionally sourced beans and, the in-house made lattes were great. Truly appreciated the great coffee experience in the middle of (seemingly) nowhere, Ohio. We even bought a few bags to bring back to hotel to enjoy! read more

Smelled horrible in there and got the sausage egg breakfast samwhich and they put some mystery sauce on it and spinach which it doesn't say it comes on it or i wouldn't have ordered it. Coffee was also horrible. Don't recommend going there read more

This is my go to coffee shop for an iced Caramel late. Great flavored espresso and fast service!

Sometimes you want a cold brew in the evening. The result was a stop at this charming coffee house. The staff were efficient and pleasant. The cold brew a perfect temperature. The chai was a bit strong. read more

This is THE PLACE to go in Dayton for coffee. Friendly, accurate and great quality. I have been frequenting this location as well as Englewood for many years and they are heads and tails above Starbucks in all aspects. The staff here is friendly, and they know you. Starbucks in Troy is one of the most unfriendly places I have ever been to. Julie and staff here at Troy are the best! read more

Beyond mad this is the third or 4th time it's happened first time told me they quit serving breakfast at 11 but I was in line by 10:40 made it to the window by 11:02 and said I wanted a sandwich they say quit serving at 11 not it's 10:57 so was there around 10:30 because I'm home now but magically there out of breakfast this 2 time this week about the third this month either they need to move faster or get there stuff together read more

Boston Stoker Coffee - Iced Grogg Latte and Bacon, Egg and cheese bagel with lemon dill cream cheese. - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Troy, Ohio

The coffee is very good. I think that the Highlander Grogg is some of the best coffee that I have ever had.

BEST.COFFEE.PERIOD. Try a bag of anything, they will grind it for you. Mmm, bean heaven. Like something sweet? Try a Highlander Grogg Latte, or your own fave concoction. They are a full service coffee shop. Always fresh baked goods too. Cigars for the aficionado. Fun gift items too. This is a don't miss. Skip the Bux and get a REAL coffee. Nice tea selection too! Cheers! read more

Ordered a $14 coffee (door dash fees included) and they should have been embarrassed to hand the driver my order. I ordered a frozen Milky Way with two shots of espresso and I received a half filled cup of pure liquid. The door dash driver even said she asked before she left and they told her "that's what they ordered". I've tried to contact the store several times and they continue to answer, not say anything, and then hang up. read more

Holy cow. This is likely the best mocha I've ever had. I stopped here on my way up to Detroit for a business trip. I actually stumbled on it by accident. I got off at the exit to hit a Starbucks there and saw this instead. I much prefer local places, so I gave it a try. I'm so glad I did! They were extremely helpful and friendly, and their coffee is excellent. I liked it so much that I made a point to stop there on my way home at the end of the week. This time I ordered a pour over coffee (they will do Chemex, french press, etc. if you prefer something besides their regular fresh drip coffee). I was asked which coffee I would like, and they took me over to their wall of beans to choose. I didn't get her name, but she was super helpful giving me info and advice on which bean I would like best. She was right. It was awesome (and no more expensive than the slightly burnt tasting coffee I would have gotten at Starbucks). I will DEFINITELY be stopping here any time I pass through Troy, and I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area. read more

I really like the convenience of this location. The coffee is great and the staff is friendly. It's a local hotspot for a gourmet roast and it's built out so if you did want to read or study you will have a little privacy. I had the cold brew and it is nice and strong with low acid and a full bright flavor. read more

We've visited this place a few times finding that the service has always been extra slow. The customer service has been subpar. It doesn't seem right to pay more for specialty coffees that take such a long time to be given to the customer. Each time we've gone there for something the wait has been extremely long. Nothing they have offered so far is worth waiting extra time to receive. We hope they start to show better customer support in the future. We may try going there again in the future. read more

Nice quaint place it's not too loud plenty of good seating some snacks and pastries available for coffee that is French press is good and that they have cigars available is quite a unique things but you would need to smoke outside. read more

If you are looking for a low key place to grab a cup of great coffee, this is definitely the place to go. Boston Stoker is quiet, and the coffee is consistently good throughout all the locations. However, I'm quite fond of the evening staff at this particular location. They are fun, friendly, courteous, energetic, and passionate about their jobs, so much so that I frequently return, and schedule many of my meetings and meet-ups there, despite it being one of the locations furthest from my house. read more

Great location and great customer service. Got my husband a chocolate chip scone and a gluten free chocolate chip cookie (I could have ate half a dozen, great texture and chocolatey). The barista was helpful and suggested the Highlander grogg latte. It was sweet with a strong caramel flavor. I enjoyed it. Perfect pit stop. Would recommend filling up at the shell then using the restroom here. It's clean and they have nice seating if you want to hang out for a few minutes. read more

I have been to several coffee shops in the area of Dayton and Cincinnati because I travel a lot and like a splash of heavy whipping cream in my coffee. For the very first time the gentlemen said he cannot do that There was a container of heavy cream on the counter and I said "Could you do me a small favor and put a splash of it in my coffee" and he said no. I told him I was disappointed that he could not give me the pickle. Great video on YouTube about giving excellent customer service that the employees here should watch. Being in the customer service industry his refusal to do such a small favor is unacceptable and I will not be back. read more

Oh my word, love this place. Stumbled upon it by accident while *cringe* looking for a Starbucks. But this place was so much better, and I love supporting a small business. Fantastic, strong coffee. Ordered their signature Boston Grogg Latte and it helped me make the drive back to Detroit without falling asleep. Strong and rich and delicious. Decent speed of service, too, considered they were short handed as it was Memorial Day. I make the trip from Detroit to Cincinnati often, so this will definitely be a frequent stop for me. read more

Boston Stoker Coffee - Cute cups! - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Troy, Ohio

We were greeted politely by a nice young lady behind the counter, but that was the end of the pleasantries. The young man who waited on us (blonde pompadour haircut with mustache and glasses) was rude and arrogant to both me and the couple we were with. I asked if he had any recommendations. His reply, "Coffee"... Really? I wish I would have walked out at that point. We had never been before and by asking the question it should have been obvious we knew nothing about what they offered, or what we were ordering. He wasn't the least bit helpful with our decision making, and seemed to be bothered by our line of questions. Both of our orders ended up being incorrect, and instead of making it right he made excuses. Quite possibly the worst customer service experience I've ever had. read more

Coffee was good however the service from the gentleman behind the counter was very rude and uninformed, wife asked for an iced French press which he responded with a point to the menu at the iced French press underlined with a list of flavors, she stated her flavor request but when coffees came up hers was hot coffee, we told him she ordered it iced which has the flavors he then said they don't have anymore iced coffee today...its 4:15 on a Saturday and open till 10 p.m. attitude with bad info ruined the experience, and first impressions are vital, probably won't come back. read more

Very friendly young lady welcoming, coffee hot lots of comfy seating...has a drive through for convenience.

They don't accept tips, so there's another buck in my pocket! The internet is spotty, but they said it's the provider and there's nothing they can do about it. They also like to play tejano music, which makes me think they have a deal with hot head burritos next door to get you in the mood for mexican food. The pastries are pretty meh, so I just stick with the coffee. They also sell cigars, coffee beans, have comfy chairs, a chess set, and have The Times, WSJ, and other papers on hand. I've lived in big cities most of my life, so I'm picky about coffee shops, that's why they get the "A-OK" read more

If available, I would gladly buy stock in Boston Stoker. The chain would flouish even more so outside of Dayton, the quintessential suburban city. Still, Stoker superbly executes a concept that is rarely found in strip malls. Unlike Starbucks they actually know how to make a cappucino. This Boston Stoker is a particularly clean, welcoming store with plugs everywhere and a myriad of seating. This store is also amenable to those wanting a quick cup of joe for carry-out (or drive-through). read more

Stopped on my way through. Had no desire to go to "the usual" places. They were awesome! Very friendly and the coffee was smooth! Yum! I even ran off without my purchased bottle of water, ran back, and they were ready for me when I ran back in. Love this place. If only I got to this part of the country more often, I'd be a regular read more

Great coffee, even better staff! The atmosphere is great. I love going in there to relax and their chai latte is awesome. Unlike Starbucks, they don't give you a cup of sugary milk. read more

Others have mentioned how friendly this place is and I have to echo that. The first time I walked into this coffee shop I could have sworn the barista mistook me for someone she knew. She didn't know me from Adam and yet her greeting was of one you'd expect to get from an old friend you haven't seen in awhile. Upon many return visits I finally realized this is how they greet everyone. I found this little shop while working in Tipp City. I needed to get out and find a place to grab a coffee and a snack, pull my laptop out, and call into a conference call. This was perfect. There are little sectioned off areas where you can find a cozy spot to have casual semi-private meetings or you can pull up to the laptop bar, plug into the many available power outlets and work away while you enjoy a nice hot coffee and a pastry. I took advantage of this many times while working on that project and when traveling anywhere north of Dayton today, rarely have I taken a trip where I did not stop in here at least for just a cup of coffee. So onto the coffee... I'm not into specialty coffees. I like good robust dark coffee and am picky about what the actual coffee tastes like. There's no covering up bad coffee with cream, sugar, or flavored syrups... looking at you Starbucks. Boston Stokers' dark roast is exactly what I look for in a coffee. Possibly a little harsh for most people but if you appreciate a good dark roast, try it. They have so many different roast levels and flavorings though they should be able to satisfy just about any coffee craving. They also make some really great smoothies if you are into those. I'm not sure if they bake their own pastries/bread/muffins or not, but they don't taste like they are shipped in from somewhere else. They are moist and flavorful, not dry and taste like they were just pulled from a pre-packaged box... again looking at you Starbucks. Overall I love this place but don't expect to get in and get out quickly. Even their drive-through can be painfully slow at times. All I can say is while it might take longer, it is worth the wait. read more

Unfortunately I couldn't find a place to sit that wasn't in the sun. The sun was shining everywhere from the customer seating to the employee area. Shows negligence of the company, and the cream was chunky. Staff said it was due to the acidity in the coffee but still makes for a nasty cup. Wouldn't recommend the Troy location if you want your eye sight or a plain cup of coffee with cream. Never again. read more

Cute place, decent (if pricey) drinks, but it definitely didn't work for our 4 person business meeting. The eclectic seating more suits 2 people groups or studying - they have a nice long bar with electric outlets for your laptop. Didn't notice free wifi, but they probably have it, given the computer-friendliness. Parking can be sticky, with Subway, Great Clips, and Hotheads sharing the same lot. They also have a drive-thru, which is great if you're in your car, not so much if you're stuck inside at the counter. Probably won't go back. read more
