This was a perfect office for the morning, though I would know for next time to keep an eye on which way is east as I had the Sun in my eyes for a while as it rose. Yes, I started here just after 6am and stayed for about four hours. The place did fill up and I was not the only person here with a laptop and a coffee. I started off with the most perfect cortado. Served in the proper short glass, it included a small glass of fizzy water. This is precisely how it should be and the coffee itself was perfection. Delicious, rich, deep coffee flavor that was enhanced by the milk and not flooded by it. Stop drinking lattes, folks! An absolutely five star #LocalCoffee shop, the kind of place that reminds me why skipping the chains is always the right call. Great coffee, great space, great baristas. The sort of stop that makes the whole morning feel like it started on the right foot. [Review 956 of 2026 - 334 in Ohio - 26135 overall] read more

Fluffy met an accomplice for coffee at Pettibone. The beverages and food were absolutely 5-star. Plenty of seating, bathrooms were clean and parking was fine. A good place such as this naturally gets more visitors which tightens parking and increases noise but the product and service made up for any inconvenience. I have especially appreciated the availability of outdoor seating although I didn't take advantage of it this time. Fluffy Bunny recommends Pettibone Coffee if you like strong brew or an extensive drink menu accompanied by well developed food products. Hop on! Fluffy Bunnu read more

Never disappoints. Their pour over is one of the best in the area, and I love their options for breakfast pastries! Highly recommend it to anyone! They also apparently started doing fancy reserve coffees. Those run around 30 dollars a serving because they are limited edition, in case you are looki g for something special! read more

Legit 3rd wave shop. Pettibone is awesome other than it can get VERY LOUD. Bring your air pods if you plan to study! The coffee quality is superb, and the employees are generally very kind. read more

Overall very good. Cool vibe in renovated service station. Extremely clean, contemporary, and modern feel. The breakfast sandwich was excellent with a satisfying pepperiness to the bacon. The latte was well crafted and tasty. I purchased some beans for a friend who likes to grind their own coffee. read more

The smoothest coffee I've had in the area in a long time. The attention to detail is amazing.

This is my favorite drip coffee in Dayton. Espresso is excellent as well. Drinks are always very good... Great consistency We drive 30min across town to visit when we can rather than grabbing local coffee south of town. Ambiance and staff are great. Lots of tables and chairs but the place can be full at times! :) Outside seating too. read more

First time here-- such a vibe. Cool atmosphere and LOTS of space for meetings, solo work, the girl next to me was free hand drawing, a few coffee dates. I asked the barista to make me whatever-- got this delicious peachy coffee set up. Will be back to get some work done while having a nice cup of Joe! read more

Really good coffee. I can't comment on all the fancy candy cookie popsicle "coffee" drinks y'all seem to like but I can attest that they make a great cup of real coffee. Really delicious baked goods as well. This has become a favorite place for me to recaffeunate and relax. read more

We enjoyed a quick stop here, the food and coffee were good and the staff were friendly. The space is really the best part though, there are huge glass walls (garage doors?) with a lot of natural light and several large plants, it's really nice! read more

The food is selection is small but not bad at all. The kitchen does close early and it catches me by surprise 50% of the time haha but the service is always great. The ambiance is what keeps you coming back because it's clean and very modern. The perfect place to study, read, or go on a nice coffee date. None of the seating options are very comfortable so it keeps you productive haha. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this place. It is one of my most favorite coffee shops in the local area. Coffee/Tea: I usually get a green tea matcha, chai or some type of iced latte and each time, it is consistently delicious. Food: they have a small menu of sandwiches and pastries, but oh boy. Those are all delicious. Their cinnamon rolls are delicious, even more so when they're fresh out of the oven. Their breakfast croissant sandwich and pesto chicken sandwich always hits the spot for my husband and I. Service: always spot on. Everyone is so nice! Dining: There is ample amount of seating for you to sit and relax, catch up on work or with friends. Parking: There is plenty of parking space in the back so no need to sit around waiting for someone to leave or park on the street. Highly recommend this place. read more

Oh Pettibone, how I wish I lived closer! Pros: GF selections: get the Strawberry Lemonade cookie! Not only does it not look GF, but it doesn't taste GF either! So delicious, if I lived closer, I'd buy a cookie constantly, they are THAT good. Vibe: the space was big, bright, and not trying too hard. Busy for a week day! Matcha latte: one of the better ones I had. Also like the size offerings, they were reasonable, instead of being gargantuan! Cons: Plant based milk: the only non dairy milk was oat. I wish they had another option, like almond! Oat milk can cause blood sugar spikes, and isn't always GF. Would love to spend time here, job searching with their delicious GF treats! Looking forward to trying their coffee next time! read more

I did not enjoy my visit to Pettibone coffee. I ordered a chai and cherry scone and was quite disappointed in both items. The chai was watery and the scone almost had no flavor. I was on my break so I took my order to go or I would've returned the order. I've had sub par drinks at some places and sub par pastries at others but this is a first for me to have BOTH items cause regret. The service was slow and the music was overly loud for my taste. read more

This time I noticed that the high bar style table along the wall has regular spaced electrical outlets. Lots of people were working on laptops plugged in. I got the avocado toast which had pickled onions on it. It was an interesting take, also the egg. The Jasmine green tea is very mild. It smells wonderful, just like fresh flowers. I'm glad I got some things other than coffee. The coffee is excellent too though btw read more

Wow! I wish that I took a picture of the avocado toast! Being from CA, I am used to paying for quality, taste and service, so was pleasantly surprised to find this coffee place. This is a hidden gem! My friend brought up Pettibone while I was passing through & I am glad she did. What a cute place! A lot of seating, nicely decorated, and clean. Service was good where you order at the counter and though I thought it was pretty busy our order came out promptly! A few good options to choose from and some nice looking baked good. I loved that the food arrived near and made well! My simple Sammy was just what I needed. Definitely worth trying out. read more

There has yet to be food or dessert I haven't liked! (My personal favorite is the turkey club). They have a good selection of gluten free items, with their gluten free blueberry muffin being my favorite dessert. The workers are very nice and quick with food and drinks. I love the calm but friendly environment there that many cafes cant seem to make nowadays. Overall 10/10 if your close its absolutely worth it! read more

Ambiance is great and location is super convenient if you are also visiting the nearby air force museum. I enjoyed the Purple Haze. However, my wife's 'Whiskey Caramel Latte' was too sweet and milky with not enough coffee or caramel flavour. I had them remake it and it was marginally better but still too sweet and milky and not enough coffee flavour. Maybe simple espresso or cappuccino would have been better. read more

This is such a close cafe to school and a hip place to hangout. I had their banana chocolate muffin which is good but I wished they had a microwave because I prefer my pastries warm. I typically come to study and get my usual chai latte or a hot tea like oolong or green tea. I'm not much of a coffee drinker so my friend had that vanilla latte. Not sure why it's taken me this long to write a review for my favorite coffee shop. Pettibone is very spacious, although it is almost always full. I like that they are open later than most coffee places and offer to-go, as well as, ordering for pick up ahead of time. Their prices aren't too high, but honestly I don't mind spending a little more for their great coffee! They have a nice selection of unique breakfast and lunch options -- the kitchen closes at 2 or 3pm, so be mindful of that. Definitely go in the morning if you want a wide selection of pastries. They don't sell out as fast as some smaller coffee shops or bakeries do; I think they gauge how much to bake a day pretty well. If they have seasonal drinks get it before it's gone! They are exceptional drinks. Never too sweet, but with plenty of flavor and it never overpowers the flavor of the coffee (imo). When I want a non-seasonal coffee, I'll get the whiskey caramel latte. Even my husband likes it and that's saying a lot! Always friendly service and they work very efficiently. 10/10 recommend. (Also, noticed some other review said to be more like Starbucks, but don't know if they've really ever been to a fast-serving Starbucks. They are 9.5/10 times super slow.) When you're ordering from a local, small business coffee shop, you're going to get quality and sometimes that takes a little time. read more

Trivia Time! - - What elegant and regal 10 foot tall "creature" is located along the windows near the roasters? (Hint: it's not an animal, but it is living) Suave and hip. Elegant and chill. That's the words that come to mind after sitting at a table for twenty minutes. High class without being stuffy or elitist. Very friendly and kind. And the huge wall of windows means the morning sun can warm your back. And, of course, the Americano I had was superb. So tasty. Best way I can describe it: Lots of notes of citrus keeps the bitterness super low. The Honduran pour over was much the same. All the flavor and smoothness without the bitterness. Plus some awesome citrus notes. Pineapple is what I get the most. So drinkable. And the entire space is clean and crisp. And high tech. And just so darn awesome. read more

Sometimes, you go out of your way and have to hunt down new/interesting places, and sometimes, they just fall right into your lap. The latter was the case with this great new (to me!!) spot for coffee. I almost drove by it after eating dinner around the corner, but glad I stopped. It's the FANCIEST, most inviting coffee shop I've been to in AGES!! I loved the industrial, yet cozy feeling I got as soon as I walked in the door, and didn't feel rushed, even though they were closing in less than an hour. Being close to closing time (7pm on a Saturday night) they were out of just about all of what I'm sure are very tempting desserts, which was 50% of why I stopped in...!! Good news for my waistline, bad news for my taste buds!! I quickly spied that their coffee special of the day was a spiced orange mocha latte, which was absolutely AMAZING!! I'm a DIE HARD cheapo, and bring my own cup to Speedway to save 50 cents or so on their "deluxe" brews, so you can't even begin to imagine the "shock and awe" of my $6.25 12 oz. "large," but it was WONDERFUL (and I would have licked the cup to get every drop, if it were just a BIT more socially acceptable!!) Great merch, friendly service, and a cozy/comfortable hangout, what's not to love? I'm not sure this would be an "every day" place for me, even if I lived closer, but it's a great "special occasion" treat. My "inner cheapo" will just have to be QUIET when I come back here again, with more time to linger and try some more of their tempting offerings... ENJOY!! read more

Creative latte menu and good flavor. I'm not so sure if they are price worthy though. The bariatas kept splashing customers with the glass rinser. It happened right next to me twice while I was sitting in there. The first time, there was no apology. The second time, the barista apologized only because everyone looked at that person. I did not get splashed, but folks at other tables did. Recommend not sitting next to the bar. read more

Pettibone opened last fall and now that the hype is over I gotta tell you, the hype has continued, because it's that good. So good in fact they bought the building next to them, so in less then a year they are growing. Pettibone has amazing coffee, Ethiopia, Nicaragua, Kenyan pour over coffees. The design and setting of Pettibone is incredible, laid back, relaxing, tons of light, community tables to collaborate and socialize. And you won't be unhappy. They come up with seasonal drinks too, for instance in Summer they had the Chai Palmer a chai with lemonade on ice and some other goodies that is refreshing and pleasant. Pettibone is just great, because they strive to do things a little different, which makes it a unique and special place in Dayton. Their fall seasonal drinks just came out; so be sure to stop by, relax, unwind and enjoy The Scarecrow or the Wall Cloud. It's a great spot, great brand and everything they do, is done with us the customer in mind so we come back again and again. Check it out and enjoy, it's Daytontastic!! read more

Just passing through again & needed our morning nectar. My husband found this spot & we were pleasantly surprised. Really cool large space. I got a pour over with their Ethiopian beans & my husband got the daily brew (Guatemala) & a latte. I'd say it was a little pricey, my pour over was $4.75, but I'll pay that any day for good coffee to avoid dumping it & finding a better coffee shop. There were just 2 guys working up front, one at the register & then the barista. When our coffee was ready one of them would walk it over to us. I thought that was above & beyond. Just really friendly service. One thing I'd recommend is if you get a latte is to ask for a short latte or 8-10 oz latte. It was a little milk heavy where you couldn't really taste the espresso but the milk tasted great! read more

Sweet little coffee shop in riverside. Lots of space inside and pretty modern and clean. The drip coffee was delicious and they even bring you a little extra saucer so you can get some more drip. We also ordered a brownie that was good but they couldn't heat it up which was a bummer because I think it would've made it taste excellent. I recommend coming to check it out if you want to just grab a quick brew and hang out with friends or get some work done. Overall 4.58 stars read more
