The location's new owners updated the store to also offer a selection of deli food items, included various meats, cheeses, salads, and sides - as well as limited grocery items (bread, milk, eggs) - making this a great add for Tipp City. The food was good. The staff was working hard, and friendly. The chicken wings were my favorite - really crispy - perfectly cooked and the sauce was excellent. And it turned out to be a terrific little spot in Vandalia. It's funny because it has been around since 1964, meaning that it's almost as old as we are. The gentleman serving us was friendly and quite pleasant. The ice cream flavors were limited, but that was fine for our granddaughter, who had a vanilla-chocolate twist in a cup with a cone "hat". My wife and I split a Banana Pudding Cyclone, which was like a Flurry. It was terrifically flavorful. We were pretty happy with our experience. It reminded us of the type of place we would have gone as kids. With tasty treats and good service, it is a place worthy of a return visit.

What was the surprise advertised in the corn maze? Surprise, no lights! The people operating the BBQ tent were drinking while on the job and the blue grass band they hired spent as much time on break as they played. It cost $15 a person to enter the area and then charged $4 a beer and $7 for something a bit stronger. I spent $75 dollars for my family of 5 to enter this event and I felt like I was ripped off. Fulton Farms should really consider advertising honestly and reiterating to their staff about not drinking on the job. My facebook post with this message was deleted in less than 10 minutes.
