Tofu pad see ew add bean sprouts (spice level 3/5)
Keri L.

We've tried coming once before and the restaurant was packed and there was a line. Tonight, there were only three other tables and two arrived after us. They greeted us right away and told us to take any table. They have a nice menu with "traditional" Thai restaurant items. My daughter loves bubble tea so she had to get the Thai milk tea with bubbles. Unfortunately it was not the traditional boba pearls--it was like a clear gummy...and she did not enjoy those. The Thai tea was good though. We were REALLY interested in the chicken satay and that was a great choice. The chicken was thin, tender and perfectly seasoned and the peanut sauce was a huge hit. My daughter got the kids chicken pad thai. Their spice level is 1-5. She had hers at a 1 and it was good for you--she doesn't like spice things. The portion of the kids pad Thai was about the same size of the dinner portion BUT half the price so that was nice. I ordered the tofu pad see ew add bean sprouts and spice level of 3. The spice level was enjoyable--I could have probably gone with a 4 because I really enjoy spicy foods. My tofu was mushy so that was unfortunate. My husband got the combo pad Thai level 1. Biggest disappointment is that the combo is suppose to have chicken, shrimp and pork--however there was no pork and he only had 3 shrimps. Overall we were happy with the food, the service was very good and the atmosphere was neat. They have several TVs and one of them were playing recordings of street life in Thailand so that was cool. The cost was a bit high BUT we all had leftovers so two meals per person is not bad. When they bring the check it has your total AND it shows a CASH payment amount. It looks like close to a 5% discount if you pay with cash.

Great first experience. I ordered the pad kee mow and it had awesome flavor. I'm happy to see a Thai place open it in Troy and I am sure I will be a frequent visitor.

Pad Thai

Troy's newest must visit!! We enjoyed our first, but certainly not our last, visit to Tee Nee Thai. We tried the Pad Thai, Northern Thai Curry, and Thai Basil. We recommend each one and can't wait to go back and try other dishes! Even though they were busy, the staff was helpful and kind.

Nice little Thai spot where Al's Pizza used to be. Great atmosphere and very authentic. Was seated right when i walked in. I got the traditional Pad Thai, was hesitant on the spice level so i got the Lv 1. It was delicious and just the right amount of spicy for me. I'll definitely be back.

The food is fantastic! Level 1 was even a little spicy. I'm thrilled to have a really good Thai restaurant in town!

It's a lot bigger inside than I thought it appeared outside. The decor was cute. She always gets panang curry-it's her favorite. I got the pad kee mao (Drunken Noodles), my usual first dish for a Thai place. My noodles were thinner than what I usually get but I really liked it. My dish also had a great balance of vegetables and protein. I appreciated the spice level reflecting the 4/5 I requested. I was a bit concerned about this because the server reiterated the 5 scale when I ordered. My sister thought her curry was a bit spicy for her requested "1" spice level but not far enough out there to be an issue. Service was efficient and we never ran out of water-especially important with the spicy food! Portions and price were good-I ate all of mine but really shouldn't have, and with tip, spent ~$40 altogether. We didn't get drinks or an appetizer. I visit the area often enough and am looking forward to returning to try other dishes on the menu. Hopefully we will have a larger group to split an order of Dayton Rolls. It was hard to pass on these.

I've never had Thai and was very apprehensive but quickly agreed since she was enthusiastic about going. I only ordered the crab Rangoon, which is always my go to if it's available. Let me start by saying, I've had a lot of crab Rangoon in my lifetime and those were definitely in my top two. Wow! I liked them so much, I ordered more as my meal. My friend ordered the Khua Kling which is a chicken and rice dish. I'm not a fan of hot (spicy) food hence my apprehension for this eatery however, she wanted me to taste the chicken and it was quite delicious. As far as spiciness was concerned, she ordered it to be 3 on their scale of 1-5 with 5 being the spiciest. I had a small bite and the flavor profile was full and robust and I did not feel any heat, initially. After a few seconds, the heat worked its was onto my palette but it was not too much. Granted, others who are used to and/or love spicy food may think it's mild but for a novice like myself, I felt it. Again, I want to emphasize, the flavor was very heavy bodied and I do look forward to visiting again and expanding my Thai food experiences. So if you're in the mood for freshly prepared Thai cuisine, Numprik Thai Lao is a sure bet.
