This place needed a good honest review. The food tasted good and was decently fresh and hot. The price for dinner is $13.95 but it includes a fountain drink so that's a fair price. They are a small place but still packed in most of the classics. It's not the best place in town but it's solid and I would come again without hesitation. read more

The place was empty. That should have been a clue. The lunch buffet was $10.45. Quite expensive for the available selection. The food was ok and not spectacular but fresh. Buffet was empty but was filled in a somewhat timely manner. The person running the front was not friendly and borderline rude. To top off my meh experience, as I was leaving, I took a cookie for dessert. She let me know in a hurry that next time cookie was not to go. I told her not to worry that there would not be a next time. Meal was too expensive for what it was and not worth getting hassled over an almond cookie. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I wouldn't hesitate. I came for lunch with my bf and after we paid first and proceeded to make our plates we regretted even spending money here cause NOTHING WAS FRESH. ON GOD. I'm a big fan of egg drop soup, I get it almost anytime I go to a Chinese restaurant so I know exactly what it looks like and tastes like. My favorite. When I got my bowl I took a spoonful and when I go to look I see black shit in my soup.... Looks a lot like mold!!! When I took it to the counter all he did was take me to the pot and swirl it around and told me it was just an egg... THERE WAS MORE BLACK SHIT IN THE POT!!! He even saw it and said it's just egg. No apologies, no sympathy, no refund, they didn't even make a fresh pot LMAO Look at this picture y'all..... do not eat here customer service is ass and they don't give a fuck about what kind of food they serve you. I've been driving past this place for years and finally popped in for lunch. It is among the humblest Chinese buffets I've ever been in. The food was fine, the price was fair, and being in a hurry on a lunch break I appreciated the pay-up-front approach. Disappointed that the soft serve machine seems to be down for the count but there were Chinese donuts so it's all good. I'll swing through here again sometime I'm sure. read more

It's a Chinese buffet. Don't expect the finest cuisine and you'll be fine. Everything was fresh and, other than the ceiling tiles, is clean. Tables were cleared rapidly. It was a warmer day so a little steamy inside. The sushi rolls didn't taste very fresh. Hot and sour soup was great. Lots of fresh mushrooms. Classic Chinese-American fare. Not sure when it opens but everything is out by 1130. All the standards from sweet & sour chicken, general tso, honey chicken, beef & broccoli, egg rolls, spring rolls, chicken on a stick, lo mein, fried rice, etc. Was all fresh tasting. Golden chicken was my favorite--lightly battered and fried. If you're looking for ambiance, don't even come through the door. Dingy is the best way to describe the place. Don't mistake dingy for dirty, tho, place was clean but about as tired as it gets. Not an issue for the mostly blue collar crowd that frequents the joint. When I saw a couple of Dayton's finest walk in, I knew it was worth a visit. Staff is minimal. You pay when you enter ($8 and change for lunch, includes drink) and seat yourself. Drinks are self serve which I actually like. When you're done, get up and leave! Good option to get your Chinese fix. read more

Cheap...it was like 8 bucks a person, so for a buffet it was par, but the selection was limited and the soda was nasty and stale. The restaurant could use some cleaning (look up at the vents that are dusty and moldy). Food was clean and good, but there wasn't much variety, though they had a lot of mirrors to make it look so. Wanted to like this place because it's only ~$10.50 for a dinner buffet with crab legs, but really it was just not good. The food was your typical buffet food and it was ok, but not that good. I would say for a $7 lunch buffet it's fine, but not for $10 buffet. The crab legs were sitting in water and tasted like water and you could tell they were boiled until next Tuesday. They didn't even really keep them stocked. They would just put a handful at a time and you had to ask for more. It's a 1 and done for me. Pay $2 more and go to china garden on woodman. That place is way better and the crablegs are good and they keep refilling them. Yes they run out because the place gets busy, but the quality of food is sooo much better and they keep refilling it. read more

With the crave for Chinese food, 4 friends and I embarked on a journey to the China buffet. When entering the buffet, we were invited by a glorious statue of a horse jumping a dragon. With the meal costing exactly $ 10.45 expectations were set high. I decided to dine on some crab rangoon with a side of general Tsos chicken. The chicken was cold and the Rangoon was outstanding. After about eating 2/3 of my dish I started having stomach pains and had the feeling of being sick. My companions had similar dishes and decided to have a little ice cream after their meal. My friends described the ice cream as having little taste, and the cone itself as being stale. All in all I would give this restaurant a one star rating for the Rangoon and the statue. read more
