The best bakery in Dayton! So good so fluffy! The coffee drinks were delicious. I tried one of the croissant with pesto on it and it was elegir the best pesto I have had in my life. I will dream about it for years to come. This place offered a food experience overall and everything we tried was soooo goood! Definitely try this place next time you in Dayton. It is worth all the hype!

Very cute bakery spot in downtown Dayton! When you walk in, there's souvenirs and art for sale along the walls. You can walk up to the counter and order the fresh pastries you'd like to eat and a drink! I liked seeing the season al drink options, so I ordered a special matcha. The servers were kind and quick with the order. There's also a very cute and casual seating area beyond the counter where you can enjoy! I especially liked the monkey bread and savory roll.

Cute cafe to stop by, their baked goods are definitely the highlight since they have both sweet and savory options which is nice. Great for a coffee date or a study space. Can be very busy but also can be quiet. Staff is super friendly and patient with you if you have any questions. Drinks are really delicious from the coffee and to the matcha.

Cute little coffee shop in middle of Dayton. Great atmosphere. I got the tea and a strawberry delight item. My friend got the cheese cherry confection. They don't have a huge variety, but suspected for the size. There's still plenty to choose from. It is clean and service is efficient.

I've been a looooong time fan of Val's since they used to be located inside of Dished! And when they were on Brown Street! This location is incredible. It's so cozy with couches and fireplaces, and the beautiful murals. I love to meet friends there. I always check Instagram before going, because they do a great job of communicating there ever since going viral! Everything is truly the highest quality and takes days to make so when they sell out for the day, that's it! I alway try to go early for that reason. They have some staple items year round but I love their seasonal menus. Always something new to try!

Very cute and aesthetically pleasing bakery. Expect SUPER long lines -- people are generally lined up outside 30 min before opening time and it gets worse throughout the morning. I really enjoyed their caprese pastry & everyone in our family loves the strawberry pastry. They have 3 set gluten free options, of which the cinnamon roll & coffee cake muffin were really good according to my Celiac family member. Their tiramisu latte was also great. Overall unique spot for Dayton that is reminiscent of nice city bakeries.

All the locals recommended we visit Val's alert for some sweets. They are closed on Monday and Tuesday but we made our way down later in the week. They have a variety of cookies, pastries, muffins, scones, etc. they also have a variety of flavors including some unique flavors. The bakery does seem like a popular place as there was a steady line. There are also several areas to sit and eat inside. The line moves quickly and the staff was friendly and helpful. We tried a key lime pastry, a brownie and a shortbread cookie. The cookie was delicious with traditional shortbread flavor and the key lime pastry had great flavor as well. We enjoyed the brownie which was pretty traditional. Overall, we enjoyed the atmosphere and the baked goods.

Absolutely charming bakery with the friendliest staff! I popped in on a whim and was blown away. The vegan pain au chocolat was divine - flaky, buttery (without the butter), and totally addictive. I also tried the black sesame white chocolate mocha, which was such a unique and delicious twist--nutty, creamy, and perfectly balanced. Can't wait to come back and try more!

You can decide if it's worth the wait once you get in . They open at 9 am on saturdays and it will be a line . The locals love it . It's simple and cute. It has plenty of parking ( paid and unpaid around ) . The pastry's didn't wow me but they were pretty good . They have a mix of savory and sweet . I wish they had more drink options but it doesn't stop ppl from grabbing the baked goods. The garlic croissant was a little heavy salted , and the cinnamon scroll was a little dry. But again go and see for yourself . They have something for everyone ( scones , cookies , and gluten free options ) . Besides carbs don't count on saturdays : thanks Val .

I can see why this place won Best bakery in Ohio. Out of this world pastries and a banana pudding late that is like nothing we had ever tried!

This was my second trip to Val's and I will definitely make an effort to go more regularly. I had the blueberry crumble pop tart and shared the loaded potato scone. Just typing that makes my mouth water. I've never had anything like either one and I was delighted with both. All the pastries looked AMAZING. Weird detail, but I also appreciated that my hot tea was not a commercial tea bag. It was clearly loose leaf that they bagged fresh. We ate in - and while busy, it was cozy and a great place to sit and relax. Looove!

One of the cutest bakeries in the area. I also love that they serve coffee & tea. Their options are so unique and fun. I never know what's going to be available when I walk in because they're so popular but every thing is always good. I love the tiramisu cold brew - their cold brew in general is really good. Pastries aren't too sweet and they have savory options which I appreciate.

My favorite bakery, not just in Dayton, but ever! I have been eating up these pastries since 2021 and they have brought me so much joy these last few years. They always keep customers on their toes with a seasonal menu that changes. Im always excited to see what they come up with next. They are one of the few places in Ohio that offer authentic, laminated pastries and I feel so lucky to have them close by. I highly recommend trying both the savory as well as sweet pastries as they both offer a unique experience. The drinks are also so so good and they make the best matcha in town.

Bringing a bit of English Ambiance to the Midwest, visitors love Central Perc's popular Afternoon Teas, served from 2 to 4 p.m. The tea menu changes seasonally and Mike is meticulous about steeping tea for five minutes, and instructs new customers about how to approach the imposing three-tiered stand of Afternoon tea goodies of sandwiches, scones and pastries, saying, "Begin at the bottom, and work your way to the top. You need to know how the operate bc they are not going to help you. You need to get your own menu and place your order at counter. 3. Ordered the afternoon tea. Took forever to receive a pot of tea and we had to wait while it seeped at the table. Took over an hour to get some finger sandwiches. 4. Several tables came in after us and were served and finished before we got the tea. 5. Cucumber sandwiches were the best. The other sandwiches are basic, no flavor, very bland. Scones were dry and the desserts are store purchased. Watch the lemon, it tasted bad. 6. Never checked on us to see if everything was good. We have been to so many tea rooms all over the country that I guess I expected better. Very disappointed.
