Dancers - A curved display case mounted on a wooden wall contains miniature figures of band members with instruments, illuminated with red lighting. Below the display, a sign reads "Strike" band, indicating a musical theme or tribute. The display appears to be decorative, possibly in a bar or restaurant setting.

This place is a classic staple. I love the hash browns. The staff is funny. They have juke boxes at the table and they hook up to a little thing where the dolls dance along to the music. Especially good after you've been drinking. They used to have 24 hour service but don't anymore. I usually call before I go.

Giant pork tenderloin sandwich deluxe, with fries and macaroni salad, under $10.

The ultimate dive in the greater Cincinnati area has got to be the Anchor Grill. This place hasn't changed much since the first time I visited over 40 years ago. Basic diner food, well made, great value, unique experience. Like many mom and pop places of a particular era, the Anchor Grill is cash only and defies local rules about smoking indoors. I don't know if they're grandfathered out of the rule, or they just don't care. In either case, the faint smell of stale smoke did not detract from the experience. The servings are large and made to order. If they're busy you may have to wait for a while, but it is well worth it. I recommend the Anchor Grill as an experience of its own. No pretense at all. It's a dive in all the best possible ways.

A woman with long brown hair, sunglasses on her head, and a black jacket is seated at a table in Anchor Grill, Covington, KY. She is smiling and holding a smartphone. The table has condiments, a menu, and a vintage-style game or display case. The background shows part of the restaurant interior with a mural or painting on the wall.

Perfect greasy spoon for breakfast the morning after Zach Top! Tonya and Jewell took amazing care of us and the food was great. It has so much charm- give me this over a chain any day!

Turkey/ham with Swiss on white bread with fries. Such a huge sandwich , my husband and I split it. - A sandwich featuring slices of turkey, ham, and Swiss cheese on toasted white bread, with visible lettuce and tomato. The sandwich is served with a portion of crinkle-cut fries on a white plate. The background shows another plate with food and a paper napkin, indicating a casual dining setting.

We ate lunch at the Anchor Grill. The atmospheres is really cool. The servers are wonderful. The food is the best homemade around. Their pies at simple fantastic. We chose the double decker sandwich , turkey/ham on Swiss. With fried. Delicious.

Dining area - The image shows the interior of a diner with a bar counter and black cushioned stools. Decor includes murals on the wall depicting a waterfront scene, and festive streamers hanging from the ceiling. A vintage jukebox is positioned near the entrance, with a small window and door visible. The ceiling has a ceiling fan, and the space is lit with warm lighting, creating a nostalgic atmosphere.

It's hard not to like Anchor grill. It's as "local greasy spoon" as it gets, but it has a relaxed, welcoming vibe. Sort of if your Mom and a couple of her friends opened a diner, and you stopped in for dinner. The staff are friendly and polite, and the food is surprisingly solid. If I'm in the Midwest, I have to satisfy my breaded, fried pork tenderloin sandwich craving. Theirs is thin but decent, and you can't beat the price. Cash only. Give it a try. The pancakes look great. If you're not a local, be aware many restaurants here allow you to smoke inside, and this is one of them.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere. I had an awesome time this morning here with work friends & I will be returning!

A decorative display case showcases animated figurines of a band, including drummers, a double bass player, and other musicians, set against a painted background with trees and a moon. The display has a red and white theme with musical and star motifs, and the text indicates it is from Chicago Coins. The figurines are arranged to appear as if performing on stage.

Zero stars, this place used to be open 24/7, now not even open after the bars close on a Friday. I don't want to live in this world.

I've been to Blinkers Tavern many times, and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is incredibly…read morerelaxing, with a nostalgic, throwback vibe that takes you back to a simpler time. The food is outstanding across the board--from the steaks to the cheese sticks--but the real star is their bread pudding. It's absolutely worth the trip from anywhere in the tri-state area. Parking is also easy and convenient, with a garage right across the street, as well as their own lot and additional street parking. Highly recommend if you're looking for a great meal and an even better experience.

First time visit to Blinkers Tavern at lunch time on a week day. The interior has a cool vibe-…read morerelatively small space, but quite a few tables outside (warm weather on an early March day) that were all occupied. They have a charming patio at the back of the interior space as well. I didn't realize they have their own lot, but in case it's full, there is plenty of street parking nearby. The service was excellent. Our server was very attentive and kept drink refills flowing. We ordered the pretzel and beer cheese and the poutine for starters. The pretzel was huge and tasty. I didn't care for the beer cheese, probably because I was expecting a more solid cheese product. I would describe this more as a cream sauce. It didn't seem to have much cheese in it and was very 'liquidy'. Also the ramekin was only half full. If it had tasted better, I would have asked for more, but as it was not, we didn't even finish what was given. I thought it was a bit pricey at $12.95 for one large pretzel. On the other hand, the poutine was fantastic! A very unique take on the dish with a mix of cheese curds (although they reminded me more of pieces of mozzarella sticks), french fries and Andouille cream gravy. I ordered the fish tacos which consisted of Blackened Salmon, Thai Chili Sauce, Black Bean Corn Salsa, Pico de Gallo. My order came with two and they were fantastic! Since Blinkers is known for steaks, I will have to give them another try at dinner time.

For my wife it's sll about the Goetta Van Fleet (macaroni and cheese with goetta and Grippos bbq chips) and the milkshakes (also 2 of my favorites). I don't know what's the best part of the mac and cheese is, but the 3 things work fantasticly together! The mac snd cheese is creamy and delicious, and the goetta and chips just set it off. The milkshakes have that old fashion flair to them, so thick, so creamy. If you drink your shake first, you may be too full to eat, but its such a good thing. I have had all of the burgers they offer, and you can't go wrong with any of them. Depending on how hungry you are you can get them as a single and you can also add a patty. My two favorites are the Nom Petty and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I'm a sucker for for a good mushroom and swiss burger, that's the Nom Petty. A lot of fresh grilled mushrooms, gooey melted swiss and a hot juicy patty. All fantastic goodness. I think, at least this week, my over all favorite is the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I get this burger with a double patty. This burger has a spicy ketchup, mayo, pepper jack chese, bacon and jalapeño poppers. Just an explosion oof flavor. It's just the right amount of of heat for me, and it's just fantastic. The service is that good old fashioned family restaurant type of service. Everyone is so friendly, always smiling, and I never have to wait for a thing. I just tried the wings this week, homerun. Big, meaty, hot, bone in wings with homemade ranch and or blue cheese on the side. A can't miss. There is something for everyone. We love this place, I encourage everyone to to give it a try!

We chose to sit at the bar, but there are plenty of tables if you choose otherwise. My wife had a chicken wrap, which was also very good and large. We tried the wings as an appetizer and those were hot and crispy. Spoke with the owner/manager and got some history on the place. Super friendly and offered different suggestions for next time. Prices were fair and what we expected. Service was quick and friendly. Will definitely go again when in the area.
