I have been searching for a place in the area that makes a good Chai Latte. I'm not a coffee drinker, and most cafes I've visited--even those with good quality coffee--do not have a decent Chai. My wife and I came here a couple months ago and I ordered the hot Chai Latte which is a very reasonable price of about $4.50. It was delicious. A little bit of spice, a good amount of sweetness, and just a very full chai flavor. My wife also got some drip coffee that she thought was pretty decent. I recently visited with two of my brothers. I once again ordered the Chai, this time iced and with oat milk. I'm not sure if it was the change in milk, it being iced, or something else, but it wasn't quite as good as last time, though still good. My brothers ordered a dirty chai and a peanut butter frap, respectively, and both were extremely satisfied with their decisions. Will definitely be coming back for the drinks. I will say the atmosphere is very eclectic, even crowded, which doesn't bother me except that the hand-off table for drinks and pastries is covered in decorations, making it very difficult to see if an item you're waiting on has been set there or not. In addition, when we were standing right beside the table, the barista announced our drinks as they were finished, and we took them, but when we sat down, waiting for our third drink to come out, they simply set the drink down when it was ready, without calling it out. It took us a couple minutes to notice that our third drink was ready. Some revision to the hand-off procedure could be beneficial. read more

Avenue Brew is a cute little breakfast diner that brings a small town charm to the main street of Bellevue. We went as a group of 6 in total and got there around 11:40 with orders placed at 11:45 with the cashier. The coffee was good and the interior of the place is very welcoming and invites a lot of conversation to take place. Conversation is absolutely needed because we did not receive our food untold 12:35, a 50 minute wait for a breakfast place. Mind you, yes they were a little busy when we first arrived but for the amount of food we ordered we were disappointed with the wait. Most of our party got the pancakes and enjoyed them! For my part I got the "Rose's Ultimate Breakfast Sandwich" a best of both worlds with two pancakes forming the bread in a Cajun Chicken sandwich. The Cajun chicken was delicious and the pancakes were nice and fluffy. I wish I would have gotten a little more Cajun chicken but overall the sandwich was quite good. The blueberry pancakes on the other hand came out with a unique taint of blue that got the table excited. However, the blueberry pancake itself was a little disappointing. The waitstaff was very attentive and I would recommend this place if you are not worried about getting your food right away and instead enjoy the ambiance. read more

The most friendly coffee shop in the city! I have never seen a barista greet everyone by name (well, not me, it was my first time in) and be so genuinely upbeat and enthusiastic. Despite not really specializing in food, I had a delicious and huge egg white omelette - not bad for a small cafe! Another stand out feature is the space. Avenue Brew is in a double-wide store front; there's a ton of seating. If you like weird nooks and multi level seating to hide away and read or chat, this place is for you. Their cheery attitude is also reflected in the space and their menu: they have quirky, striped tables plucked from old TGIFridays and their "venti" coffee (6 shots) is called, "big ass!" I couldn't go on without mentioning the CBD. They sell CDB coffee along with CBD oil. Apparently it contains no THC so it isn't psychoactive - it's not my type of thing to try but certainly an interesting menu item. They also have local gifts and items for sale. I picked up a box of bones for my pooches made by adults with disabilities! I am currently in love with about fifteen coffee shops in the greater Cincinnati area but I am adding Avenue Brew to my short list. Can't wait to come back. read more

I really wanted to like this place. The layout of the place is pretty neat. They have friendly staff, and I liked the coffee. The overall experience though, was much less exciting. My omelette was a big blob of overly seasoned eggs. The home fries were equally over seasoned and was burnt pretty badly. The food was so salty that I had to use my coffee to wash down each single bite. I asked for dry toast and they were served buttered. The biggest disappointment was the peach muffin. I live outside of NKY now, so when in town, I purchase the Highlander Grog in bulk and take it back with me. In store, I also really love ordering the Hawaiian hazelnut iced coffee or trying some of their speciality lattes. Most recently I had a toasted coconut latte and it was absolutely delicious. One of my favorite coffee shops in the area. The staff are always friendly and the drinks are perfectly served and priced. I can't recall eating any of the desserts/pastries but wow they look really good. Seating is never an issue and occasionally if you're lucky, you can snag a table outside that is perfect for people watching. I am not sure if it is new to Avenue Brew but they do sell CBD drinks which are almost as popular as White Claw ha ha. Yummmmmy!!! The food is delicious and a good bang for your buck. Everything is so flavourful, the menu is quite extensive, the food is made consistently and just the way I like it! It's so hard to choose what to eat and then there are pastries and there is always something delicious to get! The size of the muffins are huge!! I adore how the items on the menu are named for different customers and the owners, it's true to small town Bellevue. They're quick and the staff is nice. The drinks - there is no small. They have so many syrups and various flavours to go for. My favoruite here is honestly black coffee. They have many delicious rotating flavours. The owners are always trying to do something to expand the business and that's fun to see. Great place! Sometimes you know within seconds of walking in the door that you'll have a 5-star review to write afterwards. The bell attached to the door instantly queued up a warm "Hi, welcome, how are you?" from behind the counter. She took my order (Iced coffee and a chicken caesar salad). The food was delivered to my table with a smile. The quality was excellent and far surpassed any expectation I had from a coffee shop. The buttery (garlic?) toast was a regretfully delicious addition to an already superb lunch. The coffee was also excellent and provided that extra pep to my step that I needed. Another coffee house in the books... and this one gets five stars! My husband and I ventured into Ave. Brew to check another new coffee house off of our list, and we will be back! This place was awesome! Pros: The coffee- the drink options were plentiful, and perfect! They have lots of syrup options (including sugar free), milk options, expresso drinks, coffee options & frapes. Coffee was also very well priced (3.75 for a medium expresso drink!) The food- they have a full breakfast and lunch menu. Breakfast is served all day! We didn't order any food off of the menu but it looked fantastic! Everyone seemed very satisfied with their food. They have a wide variety of AMAZING sweet treats- including my favorite: bread pudding! My husband and I ordered the cinnamon bread pudding and WHOA it was good! It was a large piece, plenty for us to split. I would recommend asking them to warm it up, perfection! The service- the service was amazing! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming! The atmosphere- so cute! Plenty of tables and seating (including some comfy couches). The shop is homey and comfortable. Cons: The Parking- the only con I can think of is the parking. Because the shop is located in Bellevue amongst all of the shops, there's only street parking available, no parking lot. First of all, the food wasn't bad. Biscuits and gravy that I had was okay. Wife's French toast was better. Read further to see why such low marks. I have a pet peeve about places that make you stand at the counter to order. The reason I go to restaurants is to be "waited on". That's why they're called "waiters ", or "servers ".And I don't mind tipping for that service. But when I have to stand in line to order, carry my own drink to find a table, and then bus my table, don't ask me to tip! ( They did bring the food out when it was ready, to be fair). My new rule is that if I have to do the service work, then no tipping! And if you are going to make your customers do the service part, the food better be exceptional! The lady who found my bag was coughing and then proceeded to (without gloves) grab my sandwich out of the back to confirm it was indeed mine. Unsanitary and unprofessional. They can do better. Well this was a bit of a mixed bag for me. This is a coffeehouse/restaurant on the main drag in Bellevue. It is a really cool looking joint once you get inside with lots of cool stuff to look at. They have some bakery type stuff in glass cases. I particularly recommend their bread pudding as it's one of the best I've had in some time. My problems began with how unkempt their coffee bar was. They have a do it yourself coffee bar of sorts which is perfectly fine but it looked like a tornado had ravaged it ahead of us. My second problem was it took over 40 minutes for us to get our food which was a simple breakfast for my wife and a burger and cottage cheese for me. Now I'm pretty patient especially with smaller places when it comes to promptness of food but I think this was a little excessive considering it was a smallish order and the restaurant wasn't exactly jam packed. The third and final problem was that I got something called the Matt & Bree Burger. It was supposed to come with a burger, bacon, an egg over easy, onion, spicy mustard, and cheddar. They forgot to put the egg on my sandwich which wasn't a big enough deal to like send it back or anything but I did want to try it with the egg. The burger as it I got it was still delicious as the stuff they put on it especially the mustard was awesome. The meat also was of very high quality. It really made me wonder how good it would have been with the egg. And as I documented earlier their bread pudding was something special. There is enough good things going on here for me to come back and give a slight recommendation to others. However there is still a lot of room for improvement. 5.5 out of 10 read more

Some unique things: 1) You can print documents here (for a small price). 2) The selection of muffins and other baked goods is huge and amazing (I've tried most of them multiple times). A muffin really is a meal in and of itself. 3) There are CBD-related products available. The space itself is inviting and unique -- I've rarely had problems finding a good seat to get work done or enjoy breakfast with a friend. I adore this coffee shop!! Always love discovering a local coffee shop to try! Skipped coffee at Sunday brunch, and immediately took to Yelp to find an open coffee house, and I'm so glad we found Avenue Brew! Avenue Brew is totally a neighborhood spot, and feels refreshingly old school. Like, handwritten menu boards, and a scribbled note above the napkins warning patrons to take no more than two napkins... Or else. And there's just stuff everywhere. Community flyers, notes from local students, eclectic art pieces, business cards for local services. I felt like I was walking into something that was special for many people, especially those living in Bellevue. I ordered a medium caramel macchiato, and my boyfriend ordered a large cappuccino. And our total was approximately $7. I said old school, right? I was amazed how affordable everything was, and definitely scoped out the breakfast menu for the next visit. My macchiato was seriously sweet but SO good. Seating is random fitting in with the overall vibe - VERY casual. We walked up steps to sit right by the window and overlooked the street. I prefer to support local business. But on Sunday afternoon, I witnessed the owner treating a long-term employee HORRIBLY. The conflict unnecessarily involved police and was totally unprofessional. As someone who has worked in customer service my whole life, I cannot, in good conscience, support a business that conducts itself such. Good, loyal employees are hard to find and people in authority set an example for human decency. (not a political statement but if the pointy white hat fits) My money is my voice. The omelettes are open-faced and somehow it works. Although SMOTHERED in cheese. We ended up picking some of it off. There must have been an entire bag of cheese on top of it. Almost all of the locals ordered the biscuits and gravy and we felt left out. So if you're reading this, have at least one person in your group get that dish, it looked delicious. This is small gesture but would go a long way if you just dropped some off with the food. - The sausage on my breakfast sandwich was one of those fake frozen patties. It was horrible. I took it off immediately and would not reccomend. If you are hankering for a sammie hit the bacon and skip the sausage. I have to hand it to somewhere that serves breakfast all day.
