We had a great breakfast at the Hive on. Saturday morning. We walked in around 10:00 and got seated right away. The workers were all friendly and helpful. They have a full coffee bar. I got the crème brûlée latte, goetta egg and cheese sandwich (biscuit instead of English muffin) and cheesy grits. The food was all very good and we enjoyed a nice breakfast. My daughter really enjoyed her Mickey pancake as well. We will be back. read more

There was a bit of confusion and our name didn't get added to the wait list. A different staff member recognized we'd been waiting a long time and got us seated immediately. When we sat upstairs, our waitress suggested a few seasonal drinks which I really enjoyed. The food was also really tasty. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the ambiance inside and all of the woodwork. A friend and I decided to grab brunch after church. This is a local small business that has been thriving, but I suggested it because I hadn't been in a while. My friend chose the BYO quesadilla, which was served with sour cream and salsa. She also got a side of fruit. I opted for the BYO omelette. It comes with a bread option, so I went for one of their in-house biscuits with a side of gravy. The onions were a fine dice and well sautéed in my omelette, which was perfect! And the biscuit was just as yummy as I remembered. Good things to note: You pay at the table, with the option to do tap/Apple pay , which I greatly appreciate. I'll start off by saying I would be willing to give The Hive a second chance. The food definitely had flavor and the service was good. But, every item ordered was cold or barely warm. Paying over $3 for a biscuit I expected it to not be refrigerator temp (cold). It was actually sent back that's how cold it was. Waffles, biscuits, bacon, sausage and grits seemed to be precooked and served room temp or colder. Butter didn't even melt. Overall the food was fine. We've been wanting to try the Hive for a while and stopped by on my husband's birthday. It was good and I'm glad to have a cute place in Erlanger for breakfast. I loved the Sab, the avocado toast with tajin, and my fried egg on top was perfectly runny. My husband and I also loved the Cornetto. The biscuit and gravy was good but the biscuit was a little chewy and not as fluffy as I'd have liked. The Panini toast was good; it reminds me of a similar one at Sotto but the wheat toast was not as a good as the grilled sourdough used at Sotto. The pork sausage was not my favorite, not sure why but the taste a little off for me. I felt the prices were a little high but I feel that way almost every where I eat out these days! This place is a gem of a find! Breakfast is from scratch and delicious. Any restaurant that serves Gliers Goetta is awesome. The service was perfect, got our drink order and let us read through the bigger menu. I had the raspberry salted caramel latte, worth it. Then I had a bowl with a potatoes, eggs and added some veggies. I was able to customize, which is always a good thing. We got there at eight on a weekday morning and left around 945. The place looks popular because it was packed. When we left then there was a note that on Saturdays and Sundays is an hour limit, so everyone can get in and get breakfast! read more

Well this building has been a few different things in the last number of years but it is now known as The Hive. They have a good sized menu that focuses on breakfast. I tried an omelet with ham, cheese, and cheese sauce. It was absolutely loaded with flavour and cheese which makes me a happy camper. I also got one of their enormous biscuits with homemade jelly. Their biscuits were top notch but the jelly was definitely something special. It was an absolutely delicious breakfast. The service was outstanding and they really prettied up this building as the restaurant looked great and was really busy which was great to see. Was the perfect spot for brunch with the family, the iced chia was excellent and our server was amazing!

This is a pretty, casual and a laid back place for coffee and breakfast. I believe they have all day lunch as well. I liked the black and white theme decor mixed with wood tones. I got the cappuccino with a toast with goat cheese, honey and nuts. Both were really good to taste. My husband got a breakfast platter that he liked. There is parking at the back and it gets pretty busy on weekends, so you might need to wait a bit to get a table. read more

I am obsessed with this place! We were in town for a wedding and this spot was almost across the street from our hotel! So I figured it was worth checking out and omg and I glad we did! The building was the absolute cutest and very on theme with the "Bee Hive" There was a little wait but we were able to go upstairs and order a coffee while we waited. It did take quite some time to get our coffee (we got our table before our drinks were done) and unfortunately I was really disappointed with the coffee. I got an iced honey latte and just didn't enjoy the flavors, but I also got almond milk and I find that sometimes almond milk can alter the taste of a drink. Moving on to the food OMG, not only is the menu HUGE with soooo many amazing options, but it taste as good as it sounds! I got a biscuit with jelly, the Philly bowl and a side of cheesy grits and it all got a 10/10! The flavor was so good I genuinely had a hard time picking my absolute favorite thing. Came in on a Sunday morning - they were BUSY, which is a good sign. Sadly, their espresso machine was down, so did not get to try any of their lattes. But did have an iced mocha. It was very good. Cool place, with dining space on two floors. A little noisy at times, but as busy as they were, I can understand that. I ordered their Max Egg breakfast - two eggs, a side of bacon, fried potatoes, and a side of biscuits and gravy. The biscuits and gravy were excellent! As were the fried potatoes. Eggs and bacon were fine as well. Sadly, no pictures because I was hungry, and it was good. 10/10 I will absolutely come back here again. Great spot for breakfast/brunch! read more

Once inside, this place has a great vibe. It's decorated in a very comfortable, yet eclectic way. Service was TOP notch! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The menu is pretty extensive, yet small enough to know what's happening in the kitchen is fresh made just for you. The coffee was good and came in a great, branded cup. Everyone loved their food. I had the The Beekeeper's Breakfast w/ gravy. It was a LOT of food, which surprised me. For some reason I was expecting eenie food. I was pleased when the food arrived and my expectations were blown away. Everyone else loved their food. I can't recommend The Hive enough. Two notes 1. We arrived at 9 am on a Saturday. The place was nowhere near full. When we left at maybe 10:30 - 11:00, there was a line. Be aware. 2. The parking lot was full when we arrived. I thought for sure the restaurant would be packed. It was not. It's great they have a parking lot, but it is not big enough for all the people they can accommodate inside. Again... be aware. We will absolutely come back. read more

A couple years old, I hope for their continued success in this modest Kentucky city south of cincy. I like the subtle bee themed decor. I needed to put in a couple hours of work in Northern Kentucky before heading to the airport and came across The Hive while searching Yelp. From the outside, it looks like a house, but on the inside is a cool vibe and atmosphere. Do you want nice breakfast options? They've got that. Do you want nice bakery options? They've got that too. Coffee options? Yup, they have them. The restaurant is downstairs and the coffee shop is upstairs. I really liked the vibe of the coffee shop! There were several seating options...a couch, comfy chairs, or sitting at a table. The art work was super cool to look at. The baristas were welcoming, and let me know that you can order off the restaurant menu and they'll bring it right to your table. Logging onto their wifi was easy...and I checked their Internet speed, over 90 Mbps, which isn't bad for a busy coffee shop. I grabbed a breakfast plate with eggs over easy, turkey sausage, hash brown potatoes, and whole wheat toast. Good to the last bite! I'm a big fan of anything bee-themed, so I was positive I'd adore this comforting little brunch spot in NKY. Visiting The Hive actually feels like you're stepping into someone's home ... and the food is just delicious! I stopped in with a friend on a weekday for a breakfast meeting, and was delighted to learn that they serve my favorite coffee (shoutout to my fellow Carabello fans)! The cute bee decor is placed thoughtfully throughout the restaurant - along with some fun 311 memorabilia. I'd never had a breakfast quesadilla before, but seeing as those are two of my favorite things, I was eager to see how they complimented one another! You get to pick your three add-ins, along with a protein: I chose goetta, red peppers, jalapenos, and onion. The quesadilla was quite tasty - crispy on the outside, with warm scrambled eggs and cheese on the inside. I will say that they're not messing around when you choose to add-in jalapenos: they really load it up, and it was a bit much for me, even though I love spicy food. The prices are spot on for the area - it was less than $40 including tip for two people to get brunch and coffee. Cute and quaint breakfast and brunch place. It is very nicely, decorated and food and service came out really quickly. The food was flavorful and there biscuits are delicious. They remind me of the ones I grew up eating in Georgia. They do have a lot of pork options so if anybody is unable to eat pork, not a lot of vegetarian or non-pork protein options but you can make it work. Next time I'm in the Cincinnati area will most definitely be having breakfast here cause it's so cute. read more

We arrive around noon on a Sunday. It looked packed on the inside but was told the wait was 15 mins. We were seated within 5 mins though. I didn't see much of the inside because we were seated outside on the porch. It was a nice day so we didn't mind. The seating was wrought iron but comfortable with the cushions on it. I saw they have their own beehives in the back which is pretty cool. Our server was attentive. The food was good, warm and came in decent sized portions. I could only eat half of my bowl. My only complaints are that the lavender drink (I forget the name) had way too much honey in it. The honey was overpowering and all we could taste. The strawberry pineapple mimosa tasted like pineapple only. Some muddled strawberries and a strawberry garnish would have been nice and probably would have given the drink the strawberry flavor it was missing. I feel they just used Tropicana or some other brand of juice & called it a day which is kind of disappointing. The espresso martini was cute with the beans in it. It tasted just like coffee. So much so I'm unsure it had any alcohol in it Overall it was a good experience. They should put something outside to keep the flies, mosquitoes & other bugs at bay. Unsure I'd recommend this spot over somewhere else. I'm just passing through and trying things out in the area. read more
