Very understaffed - and this was during a slow time. Would hate to see it before a concert/game.

Ripple Wine Bar - Covington

Stumbled upon Ripple Wine Bar as my family and I had a long wait at a close by restaurant for our…read moredinner. We are all so glad we stopped in during our wait! First of all, we LOVED the Grateful Dead inspo reflected in the menu and decor. That in and of itself made us want to come back! We were already a little hungry but didn't want to spoil our appetites, as we were going to a birthday dinner, so we split the Mediterranean Plate. It was delicious and gone in seconds! It was the perfect dish to tide us over. Other plates looked delicious, as well! We will definitely have to come back to try more. My mom got the Scarlet Begonia while I got the Casey Jones. We loved our cocktails. They also have an extensive wine menu. I had a class of Gavi and it was great. It's nice that they had an N/A section on their drink menu too. We will definitely be back!

Although I was pretty limited on what I could eat because most items had dairy.... The food that I…read moredid eat as well as the service I received, was excellent! We sat at the bar for dinner, during Restaurant week and decided to order a few items off the regular menu. The bartender Matt was great and extremely helpful. He answered all my questions about specific food items and also checked in with the Chef to make sure I could eat certain things. It is a very cute space, I did not go upstairs, but the bar area is very nice. We had the salmon with broccolini and roasted red peppers which was pretty good. We also had the hummus plate - the hummus and pita chips were good, although I didn't really like the quinoa only because it has a very heavy vinegar on it. I did not eat the pierogies because they have cheese in them, but my friend did and really loved them! It is street parking, so be mindful of that.

I've been to Noche more times than I can count, and at this point it's safe to say they simply…read moredon't miss. I've made my way through the entire menu (food and drinks), and there honestly isn't a single item I wouldn't recommend. Everything is consistently spot on every single time. That kind of reliability is hard to find, and it's exactly why I keep coming back. That said, a few personal favorites stand out. The goat cheese flatbread appetizer is a non-negotiable. It's the kind of dish you order "for the table" but secretly don't want to share. The cacio e pepe and pasta rustica are also incredible and always hit. As for drinks, the seasonal espresso martini is always a go-to and never disappoints. But my personal favorite is either the regular old fashioned or, when I'm feeling myself, the wagyu old fashioned... especially if Scott is behind the bar. He clearly knows what he's doing, and it shows. The service is always warm, attentive, and consistent, which makes the whole experience even better every time. Great food, great drinks, great atmosphere, and a bartender who takes his craft seriously. I'll definitely be back (again...and again).

I have had this spot on my list for a while. I started with a cocktail, the Soda Italia Mojito and it was so refreshing, bubbly, and delicious without being overly sweet. I ordered an appetizer for my meal. Unfortunately I did not feel well and ended up taking almost all of this home with me. I ordered the Bourbon Wagyu Burrata. This app was hand pulled mozzarella stuffed with braised wagyu brisket and bourbon butter and served with crostini. I just ate this for lunch and it was absolutely delicious. The bartender said these are made to order, mozzarella pulled and filled after I placed my order. The atmosphere was cozy and right in the heart of Covington. Both bartenders were super friendly and when I said all of a sudden I did not feel well, they took my meal and put it in a box for me and got me an ice water to go. I will definitely stop in the restaurant again to give something else on the menu a try. Probably will order the same cocktail as it was so good.

Good thing we made a last minute reservation as it was very busy for a Friday evening…read more Brady our server took absolutely great care of us. Gave us a few tips on food choices. The best tip was that a Friday Happy Hour from 3-6 meant $6 Calzones INCLUDING "Make Your Own". They had quite a selection of sauces and ingredients. All 4 of us each picked our own and they were EXCELLENT. We also had "Cork Breadsticks" and Toasted Raviolis as appetizers. The raviolis were just a "tad" overdone but very good nonetheless. It's not a very big place and since it was pouring down rain we don't know how their outdoor setup is but as mentioned, make a reservation.

This is a small place so it's recommended. So glad I did on a Friday night because they were slammed. I love the decor! It's all wine themed in a historic building. They have a great selection of specialty gourmet pizzas, appetizers, salads, calzones, options for vegans, and desserts. Also they have a great wine and drink selection. We went for the Cincy pizza week specials. We ordered: -Bottle of Spinelli Montepulciano D'Abruzzo -10" The Chardonnay- Bianca Sauce (House made garlic infused olive oil, Mozzarella, provolone and mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh garlic, topped with fresh rosemary. -10" Pepperoni and Sausage- Neopolitan style pizza made with their signature sauce, special mixture of mozzarella and provolone. Topped with pepperoni and sausage. We got our pizzas in 20 minutes since they were busy. Wow! The Chardonnay was my favorite, loved the sun-dried tomatoes and mushrooms! The crust was amazing! We also enjoyed the pepperoni & sausage. Both paired well with our wine. We didn't have room for dessert. The service was great! Loved the experience and will definitely return!
